hello everyone,
i have created change number cc01 today i.e.. 28.11.07 i have given the valid date as 28.10.07.
in table AEOI it displays material and created on deatails. i want to know which table name and field displays material, material description, change number, created on, and valid from
please get back to me as soon as possible.

In which table are saved the "change number CC01" with the different quantities for BOM.
We want to write a programm in which we controle the new and old quantity from the Change number for our BOM.

How to find Change number for a Material

Hi,
If we know the material number and Revision level then how can we find the Change Number of that material.
Is there any table in which i can find Change number for a revision level or is there any Function module available.

I want to know the top ten change log tables in terms of size. Do we have a SAP standard table where we have the following fields : "changlog table name", "number of records" field or "data in size" field.

Hi,
Click on change log table in the ODS/DSO at the top you see the name as /bic* which is the name of the database table which could also be seen at SE11.
If you wana see the requests in this change log use rstsodsrequest
and if you wana see the size in terms of kb, mb DB02 or st04
use the table name /bic* and click on tables and indexes option in history tab
DB02 tells you the sizes of the tables present on database. Incase you are not able to your basis team would help you in that

Can anyone please tell me how do I fetch the change number (Aennr) in case of tasklist chage? Tcode IA06?
I am using FM CP_EX_PLAN_READ which returs me change number..but it is not populated....

How to get the Change Log Table name of the ODS from the system table

Hi,
I have a list of ODSs in the system and I am interested in finding the corresponding Change Log Table and the number of records in that table.
Can any one please tell me the name of the system table where this information is stored.
I dont want to get in this information manully (from the Contents tab of the ODS maintenane).

MM02 - Enable options change number, change overview and change documents

I am with the following problem: I enter the transaction MM02, I enter the material 1000765, I select the view "Classification". Later I access the environment option from the menu bar and options for change number, change overwiew and change documents are disabled.
How do I enable these options change number, change overview and change documents?

Hi Sergio,
If we activate the change documents for classification data, then we will be able to see the CHANGE DOCUMENTS for characteristic values through CL20N transaction (CL20N via menu ENVIRONMENT --> Change Documents) or MM02.
For reference please check SAP Note 65124.
For enabling change documents for classification data in SPRO --> Cross-Application Components --> Classification System --> Classes --> Maintain Object Types and Class Types.
In this enter into MARA table entry. Inside that corresponding to the respective CLASS TYPE (say 001) enable the CHANGE DOCS check box in Classifications part (For enabling this please check SAP Note 65124). Then for this CLASS TYPE (say 001) inside the OBJECTS folder, enable the CHANGE DOCS CLASS checkbox also.
Now in MM02 and in CL20N under menu Environment --> Change Documents you can view all the changes done to that characteristic values.
Once the change documents is activated, then we can get the change documents details in CDHDR and CDPOS tables. The OBJECTCLAS may be "CLASSIFY". We can also use the "CLLA_CHANGE_DOC_CLASSIFICATION" function module to fetch the data from these tables.

Serial number table

Hi, Gurus,
I need to update the wrong serial number created. i already update the wrong serial number using IQ04 but when using GR(migo) . the old serial number(wrong one) still the one using. by SAPany ideas guys to solve this..

IQ04 is for creation of n number of serial numbers, here there is no change option
Further once a serial number is created against a material number, if u dont want to use that serial number ,you need to check deletion flag against that serial number
You cant change that serial number itself against the material , better create a new correct serial number against that same material and use that , you can change the batch ,Warranty details for the serial number. For changeing use IQ02,IQ08
serial number tables are from SER00 to SER08 ,

Change Number Release (JS41)

I am trying to release a change number from js40, but within
500 secs it gives me the following Dump message saying..
"ABAP/4 processor: TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED"

Dear Abhay ,
I have Observed your system closely and found that the table "JGTSADR " contains too many entries (Approx 23 Lacs).
And the program tries to fetch all these entries in the internal table which overflows the internal table memory.
The query which is fetching these records does not contain any filters. Please try to Apply some filters on the select query in consultation with SAP (OSS ) so that you will not face such problems in future.

ECM-Problem with Change number in CS01 and CS02 Transactions

Hi Experts,
I am creating or changing BOM's using above transactions. I am entering the change number while creation and changing the BOM to track the changes.Here my problem is these transactions are not validating the ECM number.
If you enter any value in the change number filed system is allowing me to create a BOM.
I am assuming that becasue of patches applied to system,I am getting this.
kindly help me out on this issue.

We are not using CC01 transaction to create Change number. Z transaction is there to create change number.
My change number contain alpha numreic charectors Eg : 341793ABCXYZ
Yes, in CS01 system is accepeting any value that we enter :Eg: asddfgh. The value is not there in AENR table.
I observed one thing If I am going to chnage a material using MM02, there its not accepeting any value,its accepeting the values which are there in AENR table otherwise its giving error :Change Number XXXXXXXX does not exist.
My question is same thing should function in CS01 and CS02, why its not happening for these transactions.

Link Between Change Master Table (AENR) and ChangeDocTable (CDHDR/CDPOS)

I am using change documents to get the detailed list of changes applied to
BOM.
This works fine, but I need to know additionnaly whether a given change has
been done using Change Master ( can display change master in cc02), in reference with a change number.
This seems feasible, however I don't find any obvious link between AENR
table and change documents, does anybody have clues about it?

Requirement:(Business need)
It has to be ensured that requested changes to a material, BOM or document carried out in the right order. Therefore, an automaticcheck for open change requests for a specific object record is required.
Desired Functionality:
- the user wants to maintain a material, bill of material or a document.
- on the initial screen of the respective transaction (eg: MM02, CS02). She enters a change request number.
- the system change whether the object record that the user wants to maintain is already assigned to other change request numbers.
- if this is the case, the system displays a warning, stating that there are other open change requests for this master data record.
- in addition, the system lists the relevant change request numbers.
- the user can continue the maintenance or leave the transaction and first check the mentioned change requests.

Possibility to change number delimitors according to language or choice

I would like to see a possibility to change number delimitors according to language or by choice after they have been inserted or content placed. Example: if figures come in with commas like 22,33 and you need periods like 22.33 (or the other way around), it ought to be possible to select that or any part of a a table or an entire table and just choose which delimitor in the figure you want. Or that it changed automatically according to chosen language when language is set for the selected text (as language rules for which to use are different depending on the language), regardless of how it was formatted when typed or placed.

It would require you to "tag" every 'real' number in your text, wouldn't it?
I would not trust an algorithm that makes the distinction for me. If I see decimal delimiters possibly used the wrong way, I search the entire document for both (digit).(digit) and (digit),(digit); then I make a judgement call on whether "n = 31.245" is about a large number of patients, and "p < 1,000" is a probability. I saw both of these in one single book to-day -- in the middle of correctly formatted numbers.
Then again, tables could be enhanced to act like real miniature spreadsheets.

Error in change number creating BOM in Engineering Type.

Can anyone guys help me with my problem.
I'm creating Bom using BAPI_MATERIAL_BOM_GROUP_CREATE.
Every time I create BOM Using one bom only in engineering and all BOM for materials were created.
But every time i create rerun the program and have different change number on its components, the error occur,
"Generation not Supported for Change number"
