Change template list order

Hi,
I would like to change the order in which templates are shown in the combo box that is used to select a template.
I have confirmed that the default order is based on the CREATEDATE column of the WWPOB_PAGE$ table.
Does anyone know how to change this, without changing that field?
If not, does anyone knows if changing that field could be dangerous?

Reordering the My Community list requires code customization. Take a look at GetMyCommunities method in the NavigationModel class. You could create your own version of that method that arranges Communities the way you want them. Although, there is no easy or performant way to assign a numerical property to a Community that could be used for sorting. The simplest method I can think of is to make a list of the Community IDs in the order you desire in NavigationSettings.xml (this way you can reorder the list without having to change code). Communities can then be ordered according to your list. Refer to the UI customization guide for instructions to retrieve data from NavigationSettings.xml.

Normally you can move a language up the list by changing your device to that language and then back to your preferred language. But I think there is a bug/feature in iOS that prevents English from going any lower than second place. You can tell Apple you want that changed at

Question about Finder file listing order when sorting by "Name"

I quite often add a suffix to some of my file names when I save them so that I can keep a complete history of changes. For example, I usually add "_000" at the end, and progress to "_001" through "_009". However after "_009" I don't increase the next digit to "_010" but instead, after "_009" comes "_00A" then "_00B" on to "_00Z" and then to "_010". I have been doing this for a while now (several years) and it has worked well for me.
I have noticed in the finder window, when in "List" view a file ending in "_00A" is listed lexicographically before a file ending in "009" instead of the other way around.
I think that this is due to my UNIX Locale being set to LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
1. Is this a correct assumption?
I would like it to be listed in POSIX order.
2. Is there a way I can make just specific folders list file names in POSIX order?
I was thinking of changing my Language to POSIX using the terminal command:
$ export LANG=POSIX
but this may have undesirable effects with the rest of Mac OS X.
3. Is there a finder preference (plist item) I can change so this just changes the listing order to POSIX? (I have no problem if all Finder windows use this sort order for file names.)

I don't know of a GUI way to change it or if you unix trick will work/do anything, but the Mac OS has always sorted that way, if I'm understanding you correctly. It looks at the entirety of the naming and puts 2 immediately after 1 instead of putting 10 there like Windows does (and Alpha comes before numeric).
I don't think the unix underpinnings changed sort order, but I may be remembering wrong. It's been a long time since OS 9. That's why I don't think the LANG switch will work.

How do you change the sort order of a Stack on the Dock in List view?

I want to change the 'Date Added' sort in the list view mode of a stack from descending to ascending.
I have the Downloads stack sorted by 'Date Added', however I would like to reverse the order of this sorting. When I open the stack, it shows the oldest files at the bottom and newest files at the top. Since there are many hundreds of files, the newest files are actually hidden and I must scroll up to access them. When I access this folder I want to see the most recent files first, at the bottom of the list nearest the stack icon, not the files I downloaded years ago.
I prefer to use the traditional List view for Stacks because it is faster (no animations or loading preview icons) and easier to navigate visually. Please do not suggest a different view mode such as fan view or use-new-list-stack.

If your preferences keep getting messed up try this:   make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
     User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
     User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

Material list layout need to be changed in Process Order

Hi All,
       I am using 4.6 B , here I want to change the process order material list layout .In the later version (4.7 & ECC 5.0) I could able to find the option 'Change Layout' in the process order itself. Incase of 4.6B no such like option found .So could anyone know me where shoud I can change the layout .
   Particulary I need to change the sequence of columns in layout.

Reminder lists order change continuously

My Reminder App is set up with a few lists and a couple of them are shared by another Apple ID.
After setting up the lists order in iCloud I activate Reminder on iMac, iPhone and iPad.
The iMac works great, the order of the lists is the same as in iCloud, while iPhone and iPad have a problem.
Every time I open the Reminder App on them the lists order is re-sort, based on what? I don't know...
At the and of the re-sort action the position doesn't match with that of iCloud.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunatly, it seems that the full develpment system is needed to use an event structure, and I only have the base package. I have however modified my previous program by using a double while loop, to detect if a change of the 'a' or 'b' coefficients change (this is actually a way to detect an event). I have already tested this program and its working pretty well. Basically, the idea is that if the user changes the 'a' and 'b' coefficients, I reload the updated output signal in the buffer.

Please explain how to change Album sort order

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I've looked everywhere and can't find a solution.
Itunes appears to be sorting my albums by year. For instance on my iPad under Dave Matthews the first album is Remember two thing from 1993.
I want to change the album order displayed on my iPad for everything under Dave Matthews Band. How do I do this?

Arrange roughly translates to "group the items in the folder." Sort is how each group is ordered. If you have arrange set to none, you can sort by anything. However, there is no way in the Arrange/Sort menu to choose the direction. The only way to do that is in the List View, and you must have Arrangement set to None.
I've submitted an Enhancement Request to allow choosing sort direction from the Arrange/Sort menu, but I haven't ever gotten a response, which is good and bad. Good because they will often respond that they have considered it and don't plan on implementing. Bad in that they've haven't implemented it.

how do i change the play order of songs on my iphone? when i upgrade my iphone on itunes , that puts the last purchase to last on the list and i would listen first. the playlist in inverted. why?

Which app are you using on the phone to play the music? That is the one that is probably controlling the order in which the music is played, and if you are using the iTunes app (not application but app) then that may behave in a similar fashion to iTunes application on the computer (I'm guessing).

Best approcach on changing templates in a document library

Hello,
In a document library, I need to have hold two types of word documents - a) with one place for signing and b) with two places for signing. There are document templates for each one.
My approach to to use two content types, A1 for one sign and B2 for two signs. Each one will have its own document template and an event receiver will fill the docx's fields with data.
Now, there's a new specification: The user should be able to change from content type A1 to B2 and vice versa. The document should change accordingly.
My solution is an event receiver that will change the content type of the document, clear the contents of the existing docx, fill it up with the new document template's info and then fill ups the templates' fields.
Is there another approach, because this doesn't look straightforward to me. I wish I could some how swap the docx and then fillup the data, The option of deleting the document and recreating it, is my very last option.

HT2470 Why does this not explain how to change the sort order?

Why does this (i.e. support at Apple.com) not explain how to change the sort order? I can "arrange" by Date Modified for example but it won't let me switch to use most recent dates first. Also, what is Apple-speak for arrange versus sort anyway? It seems I used to be able to click on a column heading in finder and get a drop down arrow allowing me to change the sort sequence.

Album list order in iTunes

Awhile ago (circa 2007) there was an upgrade to iTunes that reordered the "Album" list from numeric/alpha listing to a alpha/numeric list. For examples, albums used to be listed starting with those titles with numbers - "1", "5150", "90125", etc. - and now those albums appear at the end of the list. What is the reason why Apple changed this file order in the listing?

Who knows. I guess someone, JOBS perhaps, liked his listings a different way and so they changed it.

How change the sort order of searched items so last search item shows first. I DO NOT mean the order of search engines, but existing searches by down arrow key

I want to be able to change the sort order of items I have already searched for in the search box. I want to be able to hit the down arrow key and see my previous searches in the order of last search showing first. At the moment I have no idea how it is sorting and it's very annoying to have to re-type a query I typed 5 minutes earlier but because I typed in another 10 since it is lost somewhere in the list. Can this be done, I have googled but did not find the topic anywhere. Just to clarify, I DO NOT MEAN the order of search engines (which is all that comes up in google), I mean the actual text typed in which has been saved in the drop down list.

The "form fill" feature uses a "frecency" algorithm, frequency + recency, similar to the address bar autocomplete list.
I found an extension that seems relevant, but the reviews are old so I'm not sure it's still working: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/searchbar-autocomplete-order/ Searchbar Autocomplete Order].
But... is the autocomplete not working? I would expect that typing a couple characters of the earlier query would filter the list so you can easily select it? Or is the problem that the list doesn't remember enough searches for that?

Manual price change on Sales Order line

Hi everyone,
Say I have a product A and have entered this in the price list Product A = USD 100 per unit.
I create the order and process the order, do ship confirm, but at the time of creating the invoice, I want to change the price to 97. or 95 or whatever. This is not fixed and depends probably on various business factors not in anyone's control.
I tried to manually change the price on the sales order line, but it is not allowing me to change, saying 'no manual discounts available'. My questions are :
1. How can I manually change the price of a product at the time of invoicing?
2. I have not defined any modifiers or qualifiers. Is this required, and if yes, what type and how to do it.
3. At what level can the price be changed? at order booking or even after ship confirm?
4. If I change the price today, this price change will be applicable to what orders? All orders with booked statuses, or all orders which are not yet ship confirmed, or all orders not interfaced or all future orders entered after this price change is saved?
5. Do I need to make this price change in the price list also?

You cannot change the price once invoicing is done or when the Order Line Status becomes 'Closed' . Any change at the order entry level can only be effected till the Order Line Status is in 'Entered' Stage.
2. I have not defined any modifiers or qualifiers. Is this required, and if yes, what type and how to do it.
We have defined a modifier for our business purpose where by we can manually change the Price at the order entry level. If you require I can send you the screen shots of the setups we have done. I would need your e-mail id for that.
3. At what level can the price be changed? at order booking or even after ship confirm?
Price can be changed till the order is in 'Entered Stage'. It cannot be changed once it is 'Booked'
4. If I change the price today, this price change will be applicable to what orders? All orders with booked statuses, or all orders which are not yet ship confirmed, or all orders not interfaced or all future orders entered after this price change is saved?
I did'nt understand this question actually. I think the price change is done on an order to order basis, if it is done for a particular order I don't think so it would affect further orders. If i'm changing the price in my price list then surely it would affect future orders.
5. Do I need to make this price change in the price list also?
This depends on ur business situation. If the price change is permanent u can make the changes in the price list also. Our business situation demands a base price to be defined in the price list even though the price we enter at the order entry level is always different from what comes from the attached price list.
