It is possible to change the logo based on the values or company I've selected. Its for invoice template since we have multiple client. The management want to change logo every time they select specific company invoice. Thanks

yes..you can achieve with one conditional formatting report..I am Talking about OBIEE reports only not publisher thing
1)upload all your images in /Images folder of server
2)create one Report with Company name column,click edit Column properties--> conditional formatting--->add conditions as required like Company name ='Oracle'-->In format window select Image and select Custom Image -->fmap:images/oracle.jpg-->in default select "Image only" option-->repeat for all images-->Make this company column as "is prompted" -->save the Report-->put this report on the dash board where that company prompt is available...and see results :).I implemented it successfully

Is there a way to hide some reports based on the selected values in prompt.
For ex. if a year is selected in the prompt then the report should display year wise report.
If a year and half year both are selected in the drop down from prompt section then 2 reports should come.. One for year wise and another for half year wise.Kindly look into this.

Use presentation values in prompts for year,half,qtr and month.Example- For year-y is presentation variable in the same way for halfyear-h,qtr-q and month-m.
create four intermediate reports.Example-Report r1 with only year column,r2 with only halfyear column,r3 with qtr column and r4 with month column.
Make column in each report(r1,r2,r3,r4) is equal to their presentation variables(y,h,q,m).
Use four sections.
Section1-Place report that should come when only year.
section2-Place report that should come for year and halfyear.
Section3-Place report that should come for year,halfyear and qtr.
Section4-Place report that should come for year,halfyear,qtr and month.
Apply guided navigation for each section selecting guided navigation-
For section1-
properties->Guided navigation->check this Reference Source Request(Yes)->select report r1(year)->check this Show Section(if request returns row)
In the same way do for remaining section2(select r2),section3(select r3) and section4(select r4)

How to disable field based on the selected value

I have "employee" table,
it contains the following field,
emp_name
emp_designation
Category
YearsHere the "category" is the select list value which has the following values in select list,
Fresher
Experienced,
when the value :Fresher" is selected for "category" then the "Years" field should be disabled.
I tried the following dynamic action ,
Name:Disable_year
sequence:20
Event:Change
Selection Type:Item
Item(s):Category
Condition:equal to
value:Fresher
Fire When Event Result Is:TRUE
selection type:P1_YEARBut it doesnt work.

Branch to different page based on the selection of select list

I have to create an application in which i have a form containing a field with static lov's ...
now i want that whenever i click on a save button it branches to some page based on the selected value of lov of that field...
like if i select marketing from lov and press save button then it will branch me to marketing page...
so how can i achieve that in my apex application
please help if anyone knows the answer

in the page branch, change the page to *&PX_LOV_NAME.*
change X to page number and the LOV_NAME to the name of your select list
Don't forget to add the . on the end

can someone help me out on a issue as it follows:-
iam developing an application where Iam using xsl,html,javascript and xml.
There is no existense of Database at all. data is read from xml.
now,
In a window there are 3 frames. In the 1st frame combo box is there.
Based on the selection in the combo box data will be displayed in the 2nd frame.
now onchange or onselect methods not giving the expected result.
actually,in the the xsl which is having 3 frames,the 1st and 3rd frame
calling src="abc.xml" and src="abc.xml"which are static.
but in the 2nd frame the data need to be changed dynamically.
I have given frame name="frame_ExchangeDetails2" rows="3%" src="cc_marketWatch_02.xml"/>
usually data dynamically comes from database.but here i have to refer xml file
something like [window.href.location="abc.xml"]
but the problem is when you refer supose:-

the frame is having static page,though there are functions in javascript which are called in onload and onchange.which are not working.
I have tried putting if condition like:-

so that it could go to the repective page.
but it is not working.
so what should i do if I select from combo box in one frame and based on the selection xml/html page will be displayed in the 2nd frame.

If you have rights to modify tabular model then, you can create a measure in your Tabular model which returns previous week and then use this measure in Pivot Table.

Not unless you know which file in the app sets the choices. I've been through it pretty thoroughly and can't find the one.

Unable to set the selected value for a ADF LOV

Hi,
I am developing an application using jdeveloper 10.1.3 and Struts.
I have created a ADF LOV on my JSP Page as given below:

When i submit the form, i am able to get the value of the selected Value in the List.

But i am unable to set the selected value back in the list when i return to the form again.
I tried the following:
int x = listBinding.getSelectedIndex();
listBinding.setSelectedIndex(x);
It would be really helpful if some one could let me know what needs to be done.

I tried with the code you suggest , its trying to set the value of a field, but my requirement is to change the property for
"Rendered" on the field so that based on search parameters we can hide result table column.
After searching online, I modified the controller code as follows
1.Created a new transient attribute (Testrender) with type "Boolean" and always updateable.
2.changed the "Rendered" property value on the field I want to hide as ${oa.PoSearchVO1.Testrender}.
3. Modified the controller code as follows :

        OAViewObject testvo = (OAViewObject)am.findViewObject("PoSearchVO1");

The search cannot be executed because the table has pending changes that would be lost. I think the vo is getting dirty when I update the transient attribute value. So I used txn.rollback ,then search is working fine but its not hiding the field.
So can you please let me know how to proceed from here ?

Populating other fields in a form based on the selection in a combobox field

We have done a form(masterdetail) in which we have a combobox field.When we make a selection in the field we require some two other fields to be automatically populated retrieving data from a table(which has the details required) based on the selection made.For eg. Selecting emp id(combobox) should populate empname and salary automatically in the form.Is this possible?If so how can this be done?

This is what I did following Michael's suggestion and it works fine :-
1> Created a dynamic LOV named LOV_EMPNO as:-

2> Started creating a form named FORM024_EMP2 on scott.emp.
3> On reaching the Formatting and Validation section, I chose the EMPNO field in the left frame.
In the right frame for EMPNO, I changed the item-type to Combobox and selected the lov LOV_EMPNO.
Then I went to the Javascript handler section for EMPNO, chose the Javascript event onChange and in the
adjacent Textarea, I wrote:-

We will create the javascript function popdetails() in the Additional pl/sql section.
4> Click next and goto the Additional PL/SQL section and I wrote the following code in

How to read the selected value of a dropdown list box

I have 2 custom fields which are of type dropdown list on Accounts(CRMM_ACCOUNT) PCUI application details tab.I need to read the selected value of first dropdown list item,based on that second dropdown list will be populated.
I know where to populate the dropdown list box,it is in FILL_DROPDOWN_LISTBOX.
I dont know how to trap the selection made on dropdown list.
PLease guide me on how to trap the dropdown list field selection value.

Hello,
Check what is done in standard for the fielf REGION which is inked to the country.
Otherwise, you can do the following :
- in field group customizing, for field 1, flag the 'send request' flag. So, when you change the value in this field via the dropdown, the MAC methods are immediately called.
- Put the new value in a global variable (GV).
- in the fill_dropdown_listbox method, get the value from this GV and based on it, filter the values for the dropdown of field 2.

I have a requirement of displaying Kefigures based on the selection criteria in the browser.
Assume that I have Query with the following set of key figures.
Plan_KF in units CSE
Actual_KF in units CSE
Difference in units CSE
Plan_KF in units T3
Actual_KF in units T3
Difference in units T3
Plan_KF in units PAK
Actual_KF in units PAK
Difference in units PAK
1) I should have drop down box with values
CSE
T3
PAK
2) If user selects PAK then query should display only the key figures with units in PAK
i.e.
Plan_KF in units PAK
Actual_KF in units PAK
Difference in units PAK
If user selects CSE the query should display only key figures
Plan_KF in units CSE
Actual_KF in units CSE
Difference in units CSE
I tried using the DropDown Box - (not much usefull to select more than one Key Figure)
and CheckBox web items - I have to do multiple selections (Not very much suitable if the Key figures are too many).

Hi,
One alternative would be to save two additional copies of the query (each with different units) and code your dropdown box with the RESET_DATA_PROVIDER command.
So if your queries were:
Z_QUERY_CSE
Z_QUERY_T3
Z_QUERY_PAK
You would define the default unit (I'll assume CSE) in yoru web template, and code your dropdown box entries to switch the Data Provider (I'll asume DP1) to the appropriate query.
The code behind "T3" in your dropdown box would be:

Hi, I successfully make the vi to insert itmes from listbox1 to listbox2.Whenever I select itmes 1 in listbox 1 it display same elected item in listbox2 , but it not appending the items in listbox2.Like If 1 is selected in listbox1 then 1 will display , next time after saving when I selct next item like 3 then in listbox 2, 1 is replaced by 3,it dont come in second row of listbox2.Hope I am able to explain.\

Freight Calculation based on the net value of the Line item

Hi SAP Gurus,
I have one requirement for Freight calculation(Sales order is created through an IDOC) :
In the idoc,we will receive a freight dollar amount - which will be the total amount of freight.(example 100)
We will also receive sales dollar for each line item ,which is then passed to the pricing procedure, for a total amount of sales for that Sales order.
(examples below, for a total of 1500)
The 100 is to be posted to a freight G/L account.
The 100 is further divided by each profit center of the materials on the Sales order.
The freight is split out amongst the profit center , based on the net value of the line item.
Freight value to be allocated = Line item value/total value of the sales order * Freight amount.
Total of the sales order =1500
     Line item value     Freight value calculation     Profit center
Material A:      800          800/1500*100 = 53     Profit center A
Material B:     500          500/1500*100 = 33     Profit center B
Material C:      200          200/1500*100 = 13     Profit center C
Please let me know how to achieve this functionality in pricing procedure or what changes i need to make in Freight condition type.

Dist. of Header Condition based on the material Value

I have one query regarding the header Condition.i have selected the Calculation type as B - fixed amount (mandatory) for a particular Condition type and also selected the header and Item condition indicator.Now if the material have more than one line item then the system distributes this condition based on the quantities in PO.
My client requirement is that they want to have a header condition as we are using now. But they want to distribute this header condition according to the material values for each line items in a PO. please Mention that this condition is a fixed value (mandatory).
So, how can we make a Fixed Value (Calculation type) for a header condition to be distributed among the line items based on the base Value?
Please revert back asap.

system is distributes the header amount on the basic of value calculated by Basic X qty
e.g.
header value =100
two line item
1 is with Rs 4/- and qty is 10
2 is with Rs 10/- and qty is 15
so distribution is
Rs 21.05/- for 1st item
and
Rs 78.94/- for 2ed item

Basically I need to access to the UI Component of the first select Menu and retrieve its selected value.

There r two ways of getting the values into the list. First one is hardcoding the values and the second one is use the list and get the values into the list by firing a query in the database.
Inorder to display the values in the second menu based on the first onces selection we need to add an attribute to the first selectonemenu known as valueChangeListener and we need to sumit the page.
Here is the sample code

Switch Section in a dashboard based on the selection of Prompts (OBIEE 10G)

I have a requirement : I have to switch Section in a dashboard based on the selection of Prompts (OBIEE 10G).
Lets say I have 1 report in section1 and another report in section2 of a dashboard. I have a dashboard prompt,now say when the user does not select any value in a prompt I have to show section1 and when he selects values in a prompt then I have to show section2 of the dashboard. I tries this using Guided Navigation Link and presentation variable but there is a limitation that I have to select only one value in the prompt as i have created presentation variable.
But the client wants the prompt as Multi Select. in this case I can 't use the presentation variable.
How can I fulfil this requirement.Please let me know.

How you create your multiselect prompt? Is it based on a column? Using multiselect prompt you'll get an issue in this case. The prompt behavior with choosing all values and choosing nothing is equivalent. But your requirement has different behavior lines.
