Hello Kamal,
PLZ is an character format with the length 8. In VBScript it is a string.
You can use e.g. the VBScript commands CLng(PLZ) to convert it into a number, FormatNumber to format the number or any other string command. What do you mean exactly with change character format? From ASCII to Unicode or from one character set to another, maybe from ISCII to TSCII?

Hi venkata,
You can specify the font size either in the Character format or pharagraph format.
You better decide it according to your requirement. If you want to apply the same font size for the entire form create the Paragraph format and give the paragraph format in the default paragraph format.
If you want to apply that to limited text, then create character format.
The process of creating it is just after going inside paragraph format click EDIT-> Create Element and give the font size.
This applies for character format also.

There are three fields for a line item to be printed in SAP form (Through Script). The font of one field has to be bigger than rest of the two.
Can anybody tell me how to change the font of a specific field in a line of an SAP-script?

Difference with SMARTFORMS vs. SapScript(SE71)
The Following are the differences :-
a) Multiple page formats are possible in smartforms which is not the case in SAPScripts
b) It is possible to have a smartform without a main window .
c) Labels cannot be created in smartforms.
d) Routines can be written in smartforms tool.
e) Smartforms generates a function module when activated.
f) Unlike sapscripts (RSTXSCRP), you cannot upload/download Smartform to your local harddisk.
It was said that it was provided in CRM 3.0 version, but not available in R/3. You can download smartforms into Local PC in a XML format. In the same way you can upload this XML format into Smartform. From the smartform editor itself you can call download option, if you are working in CRM 3.0 environment.
In R3 also, you can download into XML format. However, it's not sure about uploading. Refer to the program 'SF_XSF_DEMO'.
In 4.7 Enterprise, other have seen this utlity which is completey missing in 4.6c. There is functionality to downlaod a complete form or only a particular node. (Utilities -> Download form). It will create a XML file and save it in the hard disk.
For others, if you want to download/upload the Smartforms source, you will need the help from the Basis people. What you can do is to create a Transport and then FTP down to your local harddisk. When you need the Smartform source in another system, you have FTP up the Smartforms file back to the SAP server. Finally, the Basis team, will tp it into your system.
g) The protect and endprotect command in sapscript doesn't work with smartforms. For example on a invoice: First data of position no 80. is printed on page one, other data of position no 80 is printed on page 2. And there's nothing you can do about it. Actually, there is something you can do about it. By using a folder node and checking the 'protect' checkbox, everything in that folder will be page protected.

I need to display the data format as(YYYY-MM-DD). But now it displays(2009-1-9)

How do I change the date format?

Sorry, but I'm new to Oracle!
I'm using "sqlplusw" to build my SQL statements. When I return columns that are date fields, I get the DD-MON-YY format. I want dates to be returned in "YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS". My DBA won't change the date format on the server, so how do I change SQLPLUS to return dates in the format I want? Do I need set this in some kind of startup file, or a reg key?

There are a couple of ways you could do it.
Way 1:
Search for a file by name 'glogin.sql' on your client work station and add the following statement
alter session set nls_date_format = 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS';Make sure you save the file. This change will apply to all users who will log into the database using SQL*PLUS from your machine.
Way 2:
Create a shortcut and place it some where (for example on the 'DESKTOP').
Right click on the short cut and choose properties.
Change the text corresponding to the 'Start in' box to reflect the current location of the shortcut.
Create a file by name 'login.sql' and place it in the same folder as the shortcut.
Edit the file and add the following line.
alter session set nls_date_format = 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS';Make sure that you save the file.
When you double click the shortcut to start SQL*Plus and login, the script 'login.sql' is executed.

Need to change the date format in Bex

In SAP BI I have created a BEx Query. We can see BEx reports in MS Excel. Date format in the report is DD/MM/YYYY and i want it to be displayed like YYYYMMDD. but only for one date column in the report the rest stay the same. Please help.

Enter you user ID details click on change --> select the Default TAB here you can find the option to change the date formats.
Or
In BW goto Menu option System > User Profile>Own Data > It will display the user profile parameters> in default tab page change date format there.
Its better to go for a routine .

you need ABAP skills to do this.
basically you need:
1) draw the layout on a piece of paper
2) define the fields you need and find out the corresponding SAP fields
3) check the document with the customer
4) give this specification to the developer
5) the developer will give you a program name and form name: place them in the message for the document.

How does one change the date format for PlayMemories Home folders?

I am using PlayMemories Home Version 2.0.00.11271 and have many folders within it which contain only photographs imported from my Sony DSC-H9. Unfortunately, PlayMemories Home insists upon dating all folders in a month/day/year manner; and this makes little sense if one wishes to have the folders listed in logical chronological order. How can I change the date format to year/month/day? Changing the name of each folder, one by one, will take a very long time! Your helpful advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated. I too thought that the folder naming format was obviously wrong and couldn't find a way to change it. I do agree that placing photos in folders according to when they were taken is a great idea. I had been considering writing some software to do just that. After discovering that PlayMemories does it, I had it re-import all my photos. Then I wrote a small Perl script to rename all of the folders into year-month-day format. Included here is the Perl script. It only acts on a single folder - use it on the root folder where all the PlayMemories folders are. It will rename all folders currently in a month-day-year format. I used it without problems but of course there is no guarentee that it is error free. This should work with any common version of Perl. For eg. Using advance search option , I have some fields with default operators like equals, contains,is between, is less than and is greater than. I don't need all these operators for this field.
I need only "equals" operator. How do i remove the rest of the operators?

There is a view cluster crmvc_dq where all the standard setting is present related to you r issue. Please try if you can modify that, that way you will avoid the code.
Incase you are not able to make any changes there then in that case you have to redefine the method GET_DQUERY_DEFINITION () of the IMPL class to delete the operators for a particular serach field.
