Change the colour of some column headers

I have a table with a few columns. I want to colour some of the column headers. I want to do this as these columns represent a KEY.

Hi Aayush,
As such there doesn't exist any way to colour only some column headers. The two existing options are :
1) Show the data of some columns in a different colour. For this use text views (default one) as the column elements, and select one among the few built-in colours for the property 'semanticColor' of the text view.
2) Attach a small image to the primary column's header, using the 'imageSource' property of the table header.

How to I change the colour (or hightlight) some of the bars in a bar chart in Keynote?

I am using Keynote 6.2.2. I have prepared a chart which displays the quarterly income (as a points on a line) and expenditure (as bars) for the past 3 years. I wish to highlight the Q1 expenditure bars for comparison reasons. At the moment all the bars are coloured red (and the income lines, blue). How can I either change the colours of just the Q1 expenditure bars for each year?

You need to change to; plot columns:
select the chart
click the Edit Chart Data button
click the plot columns button (arrowed)

Thanks Gary, but no, that does not work. First of all, I can't select each bar individually. When I click on one bar, all three bars are selected.
When I use "inspector > graphic" I have 5 fill options: none, color, gradient, image, tinted image. The default selection for the theme I'm using is image. What I would like to use for my charts is the same image that this theme uses for table headers. It has the same texture as the chart, but a different colour. Using anything but image or tinted image removes the texture from the fill.
I have found I can do one of two things. I can select tinted image from the fill selections in "inspector > graphic" or I can select 2D Image Fills from "inspector > chart > chart colors". The first choice does not allow me to match the table header colour because it only allows me to apply a tint to the existing colour and adjust its opacity. The existing colour has too much influence on the fill, so I can't find an RGB adjustment that will match the table header colour. The image selections from "inspector > chart > chart colors" do not quite match the colour or the texture. Again, I can try to tint the image, but I still can't get it to match and the texture is not the same anyway.
The image I want to use obviously exists in the software as it is an attribute of the theme, but for some reason is inaccessible. The other angle I have tried is to edit the theme, but I can't figure out how to do that either.

I have problem with web report. The web report with bar charts used to show with different colours earlier. Now when I execute the web report, the chart displays in single colour (All the rectangular bars in the charts are displayed in single colour say for example red). customer would like to see the chart with different colours. Please put some lights on it how to change the colour of chart in the report.

I have followed the steps which you suggested, but I am unable to see the changes when I execute the web report.
I could able to see the colour changes to the bars in the chart in the preview (i.e when I select the series 1 and change the colour for series 1 under Area properties). Like that I have done for all the 5 series, then I have clicked on Complete button, saved the web template and executed it, and I could able to see the changes in the preview but not in the report after execution.
I have two charts in my case, one is Job function chart and the other is Job type chart. The Job function chart is displaying with different colours from the begining, but the job type chart is displays all the columns in RED colour.
Is there any setting I need to do after selecting the colour at the series level.
Please correctt me if I am worng in doing the procedure.
Please update me how to do it...It is usefull if you can come back to me ASAP .

Changing the color of sortable columns in reports

Hi all,
In my Report template (custom made) I have my headers as purple with white text, which is all good except when I make it sortable, it turns all black and hard to see against deep purple background.
Is there a way to retain (or change the column header to white) when I mark a column for "sort"??

In the same way you've changed the colours from the default, you should be able to dictate what colour is used when the field is sorted.
Check what classes are applied on your sorted column and adjust the CSS as necessary.

Please don't ask the same question twice.
You could use DataTriggers and/or converters to change the property of some UI element based on some condition as already suggested in the previous thread.
Of course you must post your code, or even better upload a reproducable sample of your issue to OneDrive and post the link to it here, for anyone to be able to provide a specific solution.
But note that the forums are not for anyone else to do the entire work for you. You were given code samples of how to use data triggers and converters in the previous thread. That should certainly give you the idea.

Change the Colour of the title safe zones

Is there a way to change the yellow tittle safe zone colour, to something that can be seen over all colours. yellow cant be seen over white and it makes it very difficult to use, FCP 7 used aqua Blue it worked much better. PLease help, Or Apple PLEASE CHANGE the Colour or make it able to change for the user prefs.....

How do I change the colour of text in a cell in a JTable?

I am trying to change the color of the text in a single cell in a JTable. I have tried not adding a cell renderer and it changes the colour of text in all cells.
I have tried adding a cell renderer to the table and it does the same ie all cells text colour changes.
I am able to add a cell renderer to a column and it changes all the cells in the column.
I cannot figure out how to change just one single cell's text colour without effecting the other cells.

Ok, so if i create my own cell renderer do I set it as the default renderer for the whole table i.e.
table.setDefaultRenderer(MyCellRenderer, renderer);
Does this set one cell renderer for the whole table or is there an individual one for each cell?

I'm getting crazy, because I'm looking for the way to change the colour of
the lines I want in the same string indicator.
I'm doing an application to control an instrument by serial port, and I'm
concatenating the lines that this instrument gives me, but there is some
line that I would want to change its colour, because there has been an alarm,
for instance. And I only can change all the string.
Is there any way to do this? I don't know.

The fourth step is a little bit difficult to understand, but what I've done
is all the three first steps, and in the fourth one I've made an array (I32)
of the lines that I don't want to highlight and connect it to Disabled �tems.
