Change the colour of lines in the same string indicator.

Hi everybody,
I'm getting crazy, because I'm looking for the way to change the colour of
the lines I want in the same string indicator.
I'm doing an application to control an instrument by serial port, and I'm
concatenating the lines that this instrument gives me, but there is some
line that I would want to change its colour, because there has been an alarm,
for instance. And I only can change all the string.
Is there any way to do this? I don't know.
Could you please help me?

The fourth step is a little bit difficult to understand, but what I've done
is all the three first steps, and in the fourth one I've made an array (I32)
of the lines that I don't want to highlight and connect it to Disabled �tems.
Do you think this is a good solution?

Using same string indicator in different stacked sequences

Hi guys, I want to use the same string indicator in different stacked sequences. I tried to wire the output of every string constant through the sequence to my string indicator outside the sequence block but then I get an 'Wire connected to an undirected tunnel' error. What is the best way to use the same indicator for all the sequences?

Vtok on iphone4: i changed my gmail password and changed the same on my phone, but vtok wont respond and wont open at all! tell me what to do?

Can't change the connection string of SSIS package with derived columns?

We upgraded SQL server 2008 to 2012, copied and converted all SSIS packages from Visual Studio 2008 to 2010. When I opened a package in VS 2010 and tried to change the connection string, in the local connection managers, if the data source is another
SSIS package B(.dtsx file) with derived columns, I can't change the connection string of package B. When I opened the file connection manager editor for package B and tried to locate a dtsx file in another location, saved the change, reopened the project.
Package B still pointed to previous file. Other packages without derived columns work fine. Any thoughts?

We are using the package deployment model and refer to other packages in the same project. If
we changed the path of package B (with derived columns) to "D:\Visual Studio 2010\xxxx", and refer it in package A, in the A's connection manager, the connection string of package B is still its previous location "D:\Visual
Studio 2008\xxxx". When we ran the package A in the SQL server agent, the data source is still
"D:\Visual
Studio 2008\xxxx", so how can I change it to "D:\Visual
Studio 2010\xxxx"? Why has the package C (without derived columns) no such problem? thanks.

Cs-mars changing the community string on multiple devices

Hello,
We've changed the snmp v2 community strings on all the network devices.
Is it possible in cs-mars to change the community string on multiple devices?
When I select edit in admin>security and monitor devices> and select several devices and click edit the message "please select only one device to edit"
What's the best way to do this, and is this absoluteley nessecary?

Yes, it's possible for some device types. The SNMP community string(s) can be bulk updated using a seed file, but only for the following device types: PIX, PIX 7.x, ASA, IOS, and SWITCH-IOS. Any other device types have to be updated manually. The details are on page 1-46 of the Device Configuration Guide. You will also need the details for using a seed file, from the same document.

If you want to communicate with the devices via SNMP, then yes, you need to update the strings. This is especially the case if you don't use any other communications protocols such as SSH, Telnet, or FTP. Also, without the updated SNMP strings, MARS can't fully discover the Layer 2 topology from the device.
Unfortunately, the SNMP string bulk update is only available for SNMPv1 (or v2 with no encryption) credentials. If you're using SNMPv3, each device has to be edited manually.

PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
CHAIN.
FIELD: FIELD_01 MODULE CHECK_FIELD_01,
             FIELD_02 MODULE CHECK_FIELD_02,
             FIELD_03 MODULE CHECK_FIELD_03,
             FIELD_04 MODULE CHECK_FIELD_04.
ENDCHAIN.
Write your validations for the screen FIELD_01 in the MODULE CHECK_FIELD_01
so when you enter data in this field it enters this Module and checks the validations, if value passes the validation then the cursor moves to the next field (i.e. Field_02) otherwise if it fails the validation & you have specified the message type as 'E' then it waits on the same field of the screen till a correct value is entered.

How to change the same cell in multiple tables at the same time

help if you can,
i have a workbook
workbook has 10 sheets
each sheet has 1 table
when in excel you were able to select a sheet then hold control and select another, this would group the sheet as if to make them the same. change a single cell in one of the sheets and this changed cell would be also be changed in all grouped sheets. is there the same functionality in numbers?

Batch change the same property of some steps in Teststand3.1

In Teststand, Test steps like "numeric test","pass/fail test". There's a "run option" in their property dialog, which enable or disable to record results. Sometimes, I need to diable/enable its function together with several steps. I prefer to see a batch method, that is to say, select multiple stpes, then open property dialog and diable them. Unfortunately, current Teststand could not do this only once, but have to slect one and disable one. Is there any better ideas?

Hi,
All you need is a sequence, set up in you Tools menu, to pick up the selected steps and change the each of the selected step's proeperty for the reports (Step.TS.NoResults).
You would look at the RunState.InitialSelection.SelectedSteps which is an array, the size of which will give you the number of selected step. Then loop through the array changing the Step.TS.NoResults.
There are examples on the NI Website that loop through a sequence, eg http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=B45EACE3EE5556A4E034080020E74861&p_...
(which gets the step name)
There are application notes for setting up the Tools menu.

Here is a simple sample
String str1 = "a";
String str2 = "a";I understand that in Java str1 and str2 pointing to the same place in memory and Java compiler wouldn't save the string "a" in two different places in memory. Am I right?
If so, if the value of str1 changes to something else as following:
String str1 = "a";
String str2 = "a";
str1 = "b";why str2 which has been pointing to the same place as str1 before is still containing ?a? and not ?b????

ComWrt randomly send twice the same string

Dear all,
I have recently ported to a Windows 7 machine an old program which communicates with an Arduino board through (virtual) serial port; the problem is that sometimes (once every about 10 times) the ComWrt function sends the same command to the Arduino board twice; I repeat: in debug mode I "step over" to a call to ComWrt once and I see on the serial line that the string is sent twice! I tried many combination of computers/cvi versions and it seems that the culprit is Windows 7, in fact the exact same program running in two different old xp machines does not show this behaviour and ComWrt seems to run smoothly. Any ideas?

Hi all, now I can update about my problem and its unexpected solution; in the same time I will answer to the last question.
In order to simplify the problem, and following the first suggestion, I put the Arduino board in loopback configuration (no program running in the board, hardware shortcut of RX-TX pin on the borad) and I run the following code:

I connected the Arduino board by means of its USB port (which is seen by the computer as a virtual serial port), and it fails. I took also a USB-serial adapter, with pin 2-3 shotcut, and in this case the program runs smoothly: so I can state that it is a problem in Arduino serial port driver (note: I have tried both the last driver 1.6.0 and an old one 1.0.0, but nothing). I tried than to do the same thing with LabView but I used instead the VISA system (because I think it is the only way to use serial port in LW, I'm not expert) and it works! So I can also state that the problem is in the way that ComWrt interacts with the arduino driver in Win7. Than I have also tried using VISA system in LabWindows with the following code:

And, surprise!, it works also with the arduino board. So I understand that VISA and ComWrt use the serial port in a very different way!
To conclude, the initial problem remains unsolved and it seems that the combination LabWindows(ComWrt)+Win7+Arduino is bad; good solutions are: (1) XP instead of 7, (2) USB-serial adapter instead of direct USB connection with Arduino, (3) VISA system instead of direct ComWrt function. The latter seems to me the best alternative.

Changing the selector string for durable subscribers

I have the following scenario:
A durable subscriber registers with Selector A.
A publisher sends messages, some match selector A and some not.
The durable subscriber shuts down without unsubscribing.
After a few minutes the same durable subscriber (with the same ID)reconnects, but with a different Selector: B.
What should happen in this scenario?
Should the durable subscriber continue to receive the messages that match Selector A or only those that match Selector B?

If a durable subscriber changes its subscription (such as using a different topic or selector) then its the equivalent of closing the previous subscription and creating a brand new subscription.
So the short answer is no, it should only receive those that match B.

Next, I wrote your script in my.bashrc file .
It was fine, too.
Now I could change title string of my terminal application.
