Change TMS SQL usage Port

Hi,
We use TMS version 14.6
I need change default ports used by SQL server (destination ports TCP 1433 ->TCP 3341)
Please find sheet or give advise
Thank you

If you run the TMS Tools application (C:\Program Files (x86)\TANDBERG\TMS\TMSTools\TMSTools.exe) and go to the Configuration Tab, that lets you change the Port from the detault 1433.

  • How to change sybase sql default port

    Hi Experts,
    Is there any option to change the sybase sql default port ? Here i want to change the port number because we can't start two SAP instances at the same time on the same server?
    Kindly advice
    Regards

    Hi,
    You can try to start a new port and shutdown the old one.
    Once you've done that you can change your interfaces file to the new port.
    Check what ports are open:
    sp_listener 'status'
    go
    Start a new port
    sp_listener 'start', 'tcp:host:port", "remaining"
    go
    Stop old port:
    sp_listener 'stop', 'tcp:host:port', "remaining"
    go
    Change interfaces file to point to the new port.

  • Specify SQL Server Port During Setup

    I am installing ConfigMgr 2012 R2 in an environment that requires remote SQL.  In addition, the remote SQL uses a custom port and does not run the SQL Browser service.
    Is there a way to specify the SQL Server port during setup? I know I can specify the port for the SQL Service Broker, but I need to specify the port for the SQL Server instance itself.
    Any insight/experiences are greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    You will need to change the port in SQL Server Network Configuration

  • Firewall issue with centralized SQL server - port 52384

    Hi,
    I have dedicated, centralized MS SQL 2012 server for our internal infrastructure with few instances. There is dedicated named instance SC for SC Family Products running on TCP port 1435. Also Server Browser running on UDP 1434 is enabled. I'm trying to install
    SCOM 2012 R2. I got to the step Configure the Operational Database and here, I encountered a problem. I try to connect to my SQL server and put into
    Server name and instance name SQL\SC and into SQL Server port 1434 or 1435, it doesn't connect. If I turn off firewall on SQL server, it connects without problems. On SQL server, I already have allowed incoming communication on ports UDP 1434
    and also TCP 1433-1436. Than, I found out, that I need to allow in TCP 135 so I did it. It didn't work. Than I allowed TCP 49154-49157 for reporting services - it still didn't work. Last thing I allowed (using Microsoft Network Monitor) was TCP port 52384
    and suddenly, it worked .
    I know what UDP 1434 and TCP 1433-1436 are for. Also, I understand why I have to open 135 and 49154-49157. But I am pretty confused by the port 52384 - what is it for ? Why it isn't mentioned in documentation ? I am pounding with this problem for a while,
    and also, I found out, that my SC VMM is not working, if I do not allow all of these ports - so, probably not only used by SCOM ?
    Can anyone explain what's that port for ? Or why it's not enough to open 1434, 1433-1436, 135 and 49154-49157 ?
    Thanks
    Tomas

    Hi,
    I didn't install SCOM yet. I am stuck at installation, till I figure out why port 52384 needs to be opened.
    1. My SQL Server Configuration Manager is set like this:
    Protocols for SC - TCP/IP Enabled
    IP2
    Active : Yes
    Enabled : Yes
    IP Address : ipv4 ip address of server
    TCP Dynamic Ports :   (blank)
    TCP Port : 1435
    So, that should be ok, right?
    2. If I turn off firewall on SQL, everything connects ok - so based on that, I suppose that SCOM server firewall is configured ok . It's issue on SQL.
    On SQL server, I have these inbound rules:
    COM+ Network Access (DCOM-In) - TCP 135 enabled
    HTTP/HTTPS - TCP 80,443 enabled
    SCOM Reporting - TCP 49154-49157 enabled
    SQL UDP ports - UDP 1433-1437 enabled
    SQL TCP ports - TCP 1433-1435 enabled
    SCOM 52384 - TCP 52384 enabled <- this is the port I don't understand, why it should be opened
    If I disable any of these rules, my connection will not pass. I figured out those ports using Microsoft Network Monitor on SQL server.
    3. Those databases do not exist yet. I am stuck at 3th step of Operations Manager Setup - at Configure the operational database.
    There are fields Server name and instance name, SQL Server port, Database name, Database size, Data file folder, Log file folder
    . First two are writable and the rest is greyed out. If I don't turn off firewall and I don't enable all rules from point 2 on SQL server and than put in the SQL server name with instance (SQL\SC) and port 1434 (or 1435) it gives
    me red cross, and rest of the page stays greyed out - so, it's unable to connect. If I turn off firewall, or enable all the rules in previous point (2) I am able to change name of the database, database size, data/log file folder. But if I disable any
    of those ports, it stays greyed out - I am concerned about port 52384, why it should be opened? What is it for? Why it isn't mentioned in any documentation? Or am I doing something wrong?
    Thanks
    Tomas

  • SQL*LOADER/SQL usage in Migration

    I have very limited migration requirements. I DO NOT need to
    migrate a database. I DO need to change some SQL and BCP load
    scripts from SQL-SERVER 6.5 to their equivalents in ORACLE 8.0.5.
    For this limited purpose, should I proceed to handcode these, or
    would the workbench be of use to me?
    Thanks for your help.
    null

    The migration workbench does, as part of the migration,
    generate the BCP and SQL*Loader files required to migrate a
    database. However, since you already have the BCP files created
    then the Workbench would not actually be able to just generate
    the other side of the picture (the SQL*Loader files). I can
    suggest the following to you :
    1. Perhaps use the Workbench to run a tiny migration that would
    show you how we generate the SQL*Loader scripts. It is fairly
    straight forward however we need to do some manipulation on
    dates.
    2. There is a chapter on SQL*Loader as part of the Oracle8i
    documentation set.
    Chapter 3 "SQL*Loader Concepts"

  • After changing 'MS SQL server' service's user name SDAC doesn't work properly

    I've changed 'MS SQL Server' service user name
    from .\admin (have had such already) to network_services
    and now my oracle linked servers to Oracle instance stopped to work.
    Namely, 'Cannot create an instance of OLE DB provider "OraOLEDB.Oracle" for linked server Ora_RO'.
    In event log i see next:
    The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

    So, MSDAINITIALIZE Class fails to start. I cannot locate this service under dcomcnfg. Could you help me?

    Hi All,
    can anyone help me in changing "automatic SQL Tuning Advisor" job timingsm because currently it is scheduled during peak hours , i want to change it to evening 6 pm daily.Because during peak hours it is taking more cpu and taking one hour.
    Wed May 08 08:00:10 2013
    Begin automatic SQL Tuning Advisor run for special tuning task "SYS_AUTO_SQL_TUNING_TASK"

    thanks

    Hello,
    Here's what you can do,
    Create a new window to the time you want it to run:
    EXEC dbms_scheduler.create_window(window_name => 'YOUR_WINDOW_NAME',
    duration => numtodsinterval(1, 'hour'),
    resource_plan => 'DEFAULT_MAINTENANCE_PLAN',
    repeat_interval => 'FREQ=DAILY;BYHOUR=18;BYMINUTE=0;BYSECOND=0');>
    The above window would be in effect from 6 pm to 7 pm.
    Then, disable automatic sql_tuning and then re-enable it to run on the window you just created:
    EXEC DBMS_AUTO_TASK_ADMIN.DISABLE(client_name => 'sql tuning advisor',
    operation => NULL,
    window_name => NULL);>
    and now set it to run to your window:
    EXEC DBMS_AUTO_TASK_ADMIN.ENABLE(client_name => 'sql tuning advisor',
    operation => NULL,
    window_name => 'YOUR_WINDOW_NAME');

    BOL says : Only the account under which the SQL Server service account runs is granted NTFS permissions to the FILESTREAM container.So,  if you start SQL Server under different account , that account wil have access to use fliestream data (read / write)
    At the database level ,If a user has permission to the FILESTREAM column in a table, the user can open the associated files..

    Are you sure none of the libs or executables for xorg-* got damaged before the system called for an fsck?  The power went out on me once and my hard drive "forgot" about 75% of my kernel modules, although it was a conventional hard drive and not an SSD.

    Oracle Developer Suite HTTP port = 8889
    Oracle Developer Suite JMS port = 9240
    Oracle Developer Suite RMI port = 23910
    Oracle HTTP Server Diagnostic port = 7200

  • Change/Configure Host and Port for the Web Service Proxy with Server

    Hi,
    Is there a way to configure Host and Port in generated proxy for Web service depending upon server. (ADF 11g)
    Scenario:
    We are consuming Credit Card web service from a service provider and have different Host and Port details for development, QA and Prod.
    So we created proxy classes using wsdl for development and things work fine, but when deploying code to QA or Prod we need to change the Host
    and Port details.
    Is their a way we could user variable's for Host and Port which looks to some configuration file to evaluate their values
    based on server.
    I am a bit new to this web service .. will appreciate if someone could provide an example.
    Thanks.

    Are you using Web Service Proxy or Web Service Data Control?
    If you are using Web Service Proxy. Right click on your Proxy --> Properties --> Port Endpoints. Here you can change the IP & Port details for each port.

  • Sudden change in billable usage

    On 11th or 12th December it looks to us like Bing changed the way they were counting usage as our daily billable usage shot up from typically 50/day to 1500/day (I would attach a screen shot of my usage report but it won't let me yet).
    Did everyone else see this same leap and was it telegraphed by Bing in advance?

    There was no change in how usage is reported. There are a number of possible reasons for this change:
    Something changed in your application; different key being used, sessions no longer being used.
    Your account has exceeded one of the free limits and now those transactions are being counted as billable.
    There was an increase in usage of your application.
    There was an unexpected change or error in your application that caused it to generate more transactions. From time to time I come across people who have services that make a ton of requests unexpectedly due to some error on their server.
    There is a design issue in your application; does your application make repeated calls to the Bing Maps services if no results are returned by the geocoder, routing services...
    There was a backlog of transactions on your account that hadn't been processed yet (unlikely)
    Send me an email at ricky_brundritt at Hotmail.com and I can look into this deeper for you.
