Change USER DEFINED PROPERTY!

I set my user_defined_property_0 for module to DataType: CHAR,
Length: 20, Sequence: 0, Updateable: YES, and set to PUBLISH
and I change the name of it to 'PRISTUP'!
If I set this property in Designer Editor (ORACLE DESIGNER 6)
to 'A', I save it, and after I reload properties of this module,
this property is NULL! If I select this module from repos.ci_modules,
propetry user_defined_property_0 is NULL, too. 3 modules have property
user_defined_property_0 set on 'A', but in Designer Editor is property
show as NULL!
Can You HELP ME, where is the error?

Hi,
Note 121550  "User settings table control" explains this. You need to have required authorization 'S_ADMIN_FCD' .
(b) System variants (administrator function)
From the configuration of the present table controls, columns can be
hidden in addition: Checkbox 'invisible' (at least one column must
remain visible; see Note 110785!).
In addition the technical name of the respective field in the table
control, its current length and position are specified.
When you press the key 'Activate', a system variant is generated from
the current configuration, that is, all users (in the current client!)
see this configuration of the table control. A system variant is deleted
with 'Delete', 'Close' without activating beforehand leaves the settings
unchanged. The call of this function is linked to the authorization
object 'S_ADMIN_FCD' (value 'TCTR').
Kind Regards,
Suneet

  • To change User defined Value field from Amount to Quantity in COPA

I have created a created a User defined Characteristics VV930 - Number of labor hours.  While creating, i wrongly assigned the chategory Amount instead of Quantity.
Now when i am trying to change it is giving me errors.
Also it is not allowing to delete and recreate the new VV930 with category as Quatity.
No data is posted in COPA.

    Hi Rupesh
    1. Remove it from your COPA data structure in KEA0... Shift it from Left to right in data structure screen... Then try to delete it
    2. Else, reserve this Value Field for future use and change the name as of now to XXXXXX...Create a new Qty Field for your use now.

    Hi,

  • Need help: unable to change user defined dimension

    Hi,
I have a problem with BPC. I installed BPC Server and BPC Client NW7.5 SP9. I can duplicate, create and modify all standard dimensions (Account, Category, Entity, Time) in my own application as also in appshell.
I can duplicate or create a user defined dimension, but I cannot modify that user defined dimension. I change the elements, then I process my changes. But after I have refreshed the dimension all changes are reverted.
I looked in UJFS and can see that .xls and .xlt are uploaded on NW correctly. Even on my local machine it is changed, but BPC does not recognize that.
Has anyone an idea what to do? I need not only the standard dimensions but also user defined dimensions.
    Regards

We've got this problem on non-unicode system on SP08, as Frank. Corrected with SP09.
Maybe you have to check if all components patched well (NW, .Net and client):
    - In NW Go to System-Status-Component Information. CPMBPC must have level 0009.
    - On .Net Server check Server Version in Planning and Consolidation Server utility (.09)
    - In client for Excel check ETools-About Planning and Consolidation (7.50.09).
If that's correct, first check, if new records occur in BW object for your dimension (in rsa1). Or maybe that info-object somehow become inactive.
And did you mark checkbox "Process members from member shett" during processing the dimension?

  • User defined properties not showing up in design center

    Hello,
I did a search on User Defined Properties in this forum but couldn't find my answer.
    We are using OWB 10gR2.
I already added a user defined property called UD_ALTERNATE_SCHEMA to the TABLE class definition.
I signed on as repository owner, I switched to single user mode, used OMBREDEFINE on class definition "TABLE", I commited my changes switched back to multi-user mode and signed off.
Here's the proof (it's in bold):
    OMB+> OMBDESCRIBE CLASS_DEFINITION 'TABLE' GET PROPERTY_DEFINITIONS
    BUFFER_POOL BUSINESS_NAME CACHE_MODE CONSTRAINTS DATA_SEGMENT_COMPRESSION DEPLOYABLE DESCRIPTION FREELISTGROUPS FREELISTS GENERATION_COMMENTS INDEXES INITIAL INITRANS LOGGING_MODE MAXEXTENTS MAXTRANS MINEXTENTS MONITORING_MODE NEXT OVERFLOW PARALLEL_ACCESS_MODE PARALLEL_DEGREE PARTITIONS PARTITION_TABLESPACE_LIST PCTFREE PCTINCREASE PCTUSED ROWDEPENDENCIES_MODE ROW_MOVEMENT SHADOW_TABLESPACE SHADOW_TABLE_NAME TABLESPACE UD_ALTERNATE_SCHEMA UOID
    OMB+>
Here is how I defined this new property for the TABLE class.
    OMB+> OMBDESCRIBE CLASS_DEFINITION 'TABLE' PROPERTY_DEFINITION 'UD_ALTERNATE_SCHEMA' GET PROPERTIES (TYPE,DEFAULT_VALUE)
    STRING NO
    My question is this.
Shouldn't this new property be available for edit when I right-click on a table object in the GUI interface and then choose "Properties" and then choose "User Defined" tab? Unfortunately it is not showing up on any of my tables in any of my projects.
Did I miss a step here? Or did I completely misundestand the concept of "User Defined Properties"?
    Thanks

As so often happens, I found the answer almost immediately after posting this message.
In the user defined tab, I hadn't clicked/selected a table. Once I clicked on a table object, my brand new user defined property appeared.
Sorry to have waisted your time. I was really tired yesterday afternoon when trying all this.
    Thanks

  • DDL Preview doesn't work correctly - User defined DDL (2.0.0 Build 584)

After changing "User defined DDL" statement in view definitions, i imported schema metadata (File>Import>Data dictionary) and compared my datamodel with my current database schema. The changes were detected correctly and alter DDL statements for tables generated correctly also.
When i viewed the "compare models" dialog it all seemed to be all right and the modified User DDL statement for the view was marked. But when i generated DDL script, only the old DDL for this view was generated.
Even when i try to generate DDL via "DDL Preview" on object directly, the new DDL is ignored.
I couldn't find forum entries, but maybe some of you have experience about this issue or known bugs.

    Hi,
I'm not sure if you're aware, but there is a 3.0 beta version of Data Modeler.
You can download it freely from here :

There are many bugs fixed there.

  • How to change the text of a user defined field in dynamic selections?

Logical Database PSJ is used by t code CJI3 - we added a couple of user fields into the dynamic selections of CJI3.
Now - how to change the text of this user filed (USR01 of structure PRSP_R in logical database PSJ)?
Found an OSS note - 86980 - that tells that this is not possible.
But when we read the documentation on the user field (CJI3 - dynamic selections  - double click on user field - F1), it shows the following text:
User-defined field in which you can enter general information with a length of up to 20 characters.
    Dependencies
The names (key words) for  user-defined fields depend on the field key.
Now the question is where to change the field key..
    Thanks,
    Ven

Madhu - you did not get the question I think.
Anyways - I found an OSS note 1266643 - this code change should take care of the issue - it will then reflect the details maintained in custoizng at transaction code OPS1..

  • Tabbed navigation,Theme change and User define templates problem

    Hi,
    ·     I have created an application in which I have defined many page, page regions, buttons, forms templates myself.
    ·     The end user has now requested for a tabbed look and feel for the same and that too in a different theme (color red)
    ·     However, inclusion of tabs to the application plus a change in the theme color (to red) in this case causes all user defined templates to behave erratically.
    ·     I guess these templates will have to be redefined in this new theme. I tried to copy some of these today but got weird results.
Without all these templates in place the look and feel of the application will not be as usual.
    ·     Also,I had posted a thread on the APEX forums concerning tabs and have received information that each page in the application has to be manually added to the tab set in a situation such as this. This will really increase the time taken to achieve the desired application navigation.
I would appreciate some good advice as how to get this appliction navigation running smoothly in a tabbed format in the least possible time.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Priya Jetley

    Hello,
I would have a look at the Lists in Shared Components which allow you to create Tabs as well.
They are a bit more flexible.

  • Will any change in tempdb database affect the user defined tables?

Will any change in tempdb database affect the user defined tables?
Suppose I have deleted a table from system database tempdb, will it effect the user defined tables?
    Anujit Karmakar Sr. Software Engineer

The short answer is no; deleting a table from tempdb will not affect user databases.
Of course I could make up some connection between the two that you haven't described. For example, if a stored procedure created a temporary table, and was busy using it when you deleted it, the deletion could cause unexpected behavior in the user database,
which could affect some table data.
Also, some system actions in user databases can store data in tempdb temporarily. But you aren't likely to be talking about system usages of tempdb.
So, unless you describe some connection, the tables in tempdb are independent from the user database tables.

Just one last question. It it be alright to assign a text value(Partner namespace in front) for the form type property.Does it have any drawbacks?
