User defined properties not showing up in design center

Hello,
I did a search on User Defined Properties in this forum but couldn't find my answer.
We are using OWB 10gR2.
I already added a user defined property called UD_ALTERNATE_SCHEMA to the TABLE class definition.
I signed on as repository owner, I switched to single user mode, used OMBREDEFINE on class definition "TABLE", I commited my changes switched back to multi-user mode and signed off.
Here's the proof (it's in bold):
OMB+> OMBDESCRIBE CLASS_DEFINITION 'TABLE' GET PROPERTY_DEFINITIONS
BUFFER_POOL BUSINESS_NAME CACHE_MODE CONSTRAINTS DATA_SEGMENT_COMPRESSION DEPLOYABLE DESCRIPTION FREELISTGROUPS FREELISTS GENERATION_COMMENTS INDEXES INITIAL INITRANS LOGGING_MODE MAXEXTENTS MAXTRANS MINEXTENTS MONITORING_MODE NEXT OVERFLOW PARALLEL_ACCESS_MODE PARALLEL_DEGREE PARTITIONS PARTITION_TABLESPACE_LIST PCTFREE PCTINCREASE PCTUSED ROWDEPENDENCIES_MODE ROW_MOVEMENT SHADOW_TABLESPACE SHADOW_TABLE_NAME TABLESPACE UD_ALTERNATE_SCHEMA UOID
OMB+>
Here is how I defined this new property for the TABLE class.
OMB+> OMBDESCRIBE CLASS_DEFINITION 'TABLE' PROPERTY_DEFINITION 'UD_ALTERNATE_SCHEMA' GET PROPERTIES (TYPE,DEFAULT_VALUE)
STRING NO
My question is this.
Shouldn't this new property be available for edit when I right-click on a table object in the GUI interface and then choose "Properties" and then choose "User Defined" tab? Unfortunately it is not showing up on any of my tables in any of my projects.
Did I miss a step here? Or did I completely misundestand the concept of "User Defined Properties"?
Thanks

As so often happens, I found the answer almost immediately after posting this message.
In the user defined tab, I hadn't clicked/selected a table. Once I clicked on a table object, my brand new user defined property appeared.
Sorry to have waisted your time. I was really tired yesterday afternoon when trying all this.
Thanks

  • Why some times jdeveloper does not show a coreect design view ?

    Hi
thank you for reading my post
why jdeveloper does not show a correct design view of jsf pages sometimes?
It does not shows labels and ... , just show tag names like : form , ... ?
here is a picture for this :
    1-incorrect page:

    2-correct page :

I just closed and open the IDE and page designer shows incorrect pages
    thanks

Also try this...go to the project properties for the View project. Look at the JSF Libraries and remove the two JSF libraries and then re-add them....this sometimes helps.

  • How toAccess User Defined Properties in NWDS

    Hi to Experts,
i hope some one might faced this same problem, i want access user defined properties from KM to NWDS. For that Iu2019m using
EP 7.0 and NWDS Version: 7.0.11.
i have one Req.. to send value as a text or String to Km Property for store or display Km Folder. Like as we have name, date, created by, Description, Extra..... at the same place i want create my own Properties(using with Property metadata @ Global Service) and what ever Properties i created those ones i want use and store or send date to that particular property to display to end-user.
For above process am using WDJ
hope i can get this And thanQ in Advance.
    vita

    - Create a user-defined OTD with one String field.
    - Create an XSD-based OTD with repeating name and value fields of type String
    - Create a "New Web Service" Java Collaboration whose input will be the first OTD, whose output will be the second OTD and whose operation will be named getProeprties, or some such
    - Implement, in Java, the code necessary to read your properties, given the properties file name or path (given in the input OTD) and populate the name/valur pairs on the output OTD
    - drag the operation of the collaboration onto the Business Process Editor canvas as an Activity
    - Configure a Busienss Rule to set the input of the getProperties activity to the name/path of the properties file
    - Configure a Business Rule(s) to use the name/value pairs returned from the ivocation of teh getProperties service
If you wish to take this one step further you could consider writing the java collaboration
    a) generically so it can be reused from different business processes
    b) to cache the properties on first read so each invocation after the first one simply returns the in-memory values instead of re-reading the proerties from disk
    c) generically so it can read, cache and return different property sets depending on the properties file/path provided as input.
Bear in mind that IO from a java collaboration by means other than an eWay violates the EJB spec.. It works all the same.

  • Why are Facebook notifications not showing up in Notification Center?

On OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 Facebook account is setup in Internet Accounts preference pane in System Preferences.
Facebook is configured in Notifications preference pane in System Preferences.
The Share Buttons widget is configured in Notifications preference pane in System Preferences.
When I view my Facebook account via my web browser I usually have notifications available, but these notifications are not showing up in Notification Center.
I do receive Calendar, Mail, etc. notifications in Notification Center so I know it works.
I can send posts to Facebook via the Share Buttons widget in Notification Center, but presently I can receive nothing from Facebook..
Anyone know of a solution to this problem?
    Thanks!
P.S. I read in another thread how Facebook can be setup in iMessage, but I don't want to use iMessage if I can get Notification Center to function properly.

I got it to work yesterday. I tried none of the advice from discussions dealing with changing settings, enabling/disabling accounts, terminal commands, etc. All I did was ask a Facebook friend to respond to a post, and I was able to see the notifications in Notification Center.
I know most have their settings configured correctly in System Preferences, but this is how my preferences are configured on OS X Mavericks 10.9.3:
    (1) Internet Accounts preference pane:
There isn't much to configure here. I signed into my Facebook account. I checked or unchecked the Calendar and Contacts selections. It doesn't matter. I left the Description, found in the Details button window, as Facebook, but it doesn't matter, either.
    (2) Notifications preference pane:
Facebook alert style is set to Banners, but Alerts will also work just fine. This setting is crucial because if it's set to None, no alerts will be received. I left Show notifications on lock screen unchecked, but it doesn't matter if I check it or not. And I put a check mark in Show in Notification Center, and the number of Recent Items can be set to whatever available setting desired, mine is set to 20 Recent Items.
    (3) Notifications preference pane:
I placed a check mark on Show share button notifications in Notification Center, which is found when Share Button is selected in the list of notifications like Facebook, Calendar, Mail etc.
Again, I did nothing else, and it just works. As a side note: before I got it to work I called AppleCare and a senior advisor spent considerable time with me trying to find out why it wasn't working. And his last bit of advice was that I should reinstall the OS. He needs retraining because that bit of advice was ill-advised, to say the least.
I simply had no experience with receiving Facebook notifications in Notification Center 'on OS X', and the AppleCare employees had no training in this area, but if Notification Center is part of OS X, and Facebook notifications are part of Notification Center training in this area should be standard, but the AppleCare employees were guessing, not advising, which certainly is not technical support. Hence, my AppleCare dollars were not at work as expected.
So without prior knowledge as to how the specifics of 'Facebook' notifications worked in Notification Center on OS X, my assumption was I would be notified each time someone tagged me, someone liked a comment, post or photo of mine, someone commented on one of my posts, or someone sent me a direct message.
When I asked one of my Facebook friends to help me test it out, the following occurred (I don't remember if I had Safari up and running at this time - Note: I was signed into Facebook via Safari. I say this because AppleCare employees did explain on OS X some applications must be launched in order to received notifications, which in my mind is wasted time and code for Apple developers. Why offer notifications if the application is already launched? Ridiculous, if you ask me. That's what configuring each applications preference to set badge app icons, if it's not already coded by default.):
    (1) I sent a Facebook post via Notification Center using the Facebook Share Button.
    (2) I communicated with one of my Facebook friends by private message via iOS device and asked for a response to the post I sent.
    (3) My Facebook friend responded to my private message, but I don't remember if I received a notification in Notification Center.
    (4) My Facebook friend liked my post, shared my post, and commented on my post. I received two separate notifications in Notification Center on OS X, yet I received notifications on Facebook for all three actions, seen via iOS device. By the way, I wish Notification Center notifications would stay in Notification Center until we manually remove them. If they did stay until we manually remove them I would have time to find out which action of my friend I was received the notification for in Notification Center.
    That's it!

Just do not update the iOS on the iPod. The only time you have to update is if the iPod has a problem and you have to restore via iTunes. Apple set up iTunes such that when you restore, the iPod is automatically updated to the latest iOS version for that iPod

    %>Please Help me.
    Thanks.

Ok, this seems to be a long and convoluted path to do absolutely nothing.
    You submit the form.
You run a servlet that gets the parameters correctly (good), creates a SimpleBean (good) and then sets this into request attribute space under the names "user" and "pass" - (why?)
You then forward to the jsp: submit.jsp.
Submit.jsp creates a new SimpleBean, and attempts to populate it with <jsp:setProperty>. You then call the issueData method on it.
Your complaint: Rows are being created in the database which have empty string values instead of the parameters you have passed.
So, why are the values blank? Where do you think these values should be coming from?
Looking at SimpleBean we find one mistake - you have mis-named your get/set methods.
To properly follow java beans standards, you should use camel-case for your methods.
Rather than getuserName() the method should be getUserName(). getpassword() should be getPassword() etc etc.
The method getUserName() defines a property "userName" for the bean.
Once that is fixed, lets go to submit.jsp. The <jsp:setProperty> statement will try and set all properties of the bean from the request parameters.
There are no request parameters "userName" or "password" so those values don't get set in the bean, therefore it uses their default value of empty string - "".
There ARE request parameters called "user" and "pass" but because they aren't properties of the bean, they get ignored.
As a result, the values are empty string, and that is exactly what gets inserted into the database.
    Ways to fix this
1 - rename your parameters on your form to be "userName" and "password" to match the bean. That way the <jsp:setProperty> tag will populate them properly.
    or
2 - Call issueData() method from your servlet after you have created the SimpleBean. Better in my opinion as you then don't have any scriptlet code on a JSP page.
    Cheers,

  • User-defined partners not coming in the extraction

Hi, the client where I'm working in has a user-defined partner in the Sales Documents, called Final User. This partner has the value ZA in the PARVW field in the VBPA table. We need to take the value of VBPA-KUNNR when its PARVW has value ZA, but we can't right now, because when the user modifies this field only (yes, only this field and nothing else) in VA02, it appears in the change log of the document, but it does not in the Delta Cockpit of the 2LIS_11_VAHDR.
I read notes 12682 and 520879 and I appended a field called PFINUSR to the MCPARTUSR calling the appending structure ZAMCPARTUS. I also added the following code to the RMCSUZ11 and RMCSUZ10 includes:
WHEN 'ZA'. MOVE UPE_VBPA-KUNNR TO UPE_PARTNER-PFINUSR.
I also modified the programs as described in the notes.
But when I go to LBWE and try to add the field to the extraction structure of 2LIS_11_VAHDR my field PFINUSR does not show in the right list. Am I missing something? Can anybody help me?
Edited by: Pedro Eguren on Aug 8, 2008 2:43 PM
The problem is that the notes are missing to lines. Two more tables need to be modified.

    Hi Raja,
Prior to trying Gordons option of unmarking and remarking them i would suggest you do a little more investigation as this can potentially change the field names in XL report and if you have any reports using them they may stop working (it can add a post fix of _1).
Firstly, what are the fields set as in the User Defined Fields window in XL reporter?  Light Dimensions, Dimension Attribute or Measure?  If its a Dimension Attribute for example on the Business Partner UDF, it will not be visible in the tab section but should be shown if you drag and drop the Business Partner dimension in the report, then right click and choose display more attributes (dimension attribute UDFs will be in this list).  Light Dimensions and Measures should appear in the tabs.
If they are set as a light dimension or measure and are not in the tab section, has this only just started happening or have they never been visible?  If its just started happening, having you recently upgraded to a new patch?  If so, in future you need to run a script on the Company and Common database prior to the patch upgrade.  If you did not run these scripts you will need to do Gordons solution but as I say, if any reports have UDFs in these may not work after and you will have to manually edit them.

  • SharePont 2013 Document Library lookup Column Properties not Showing Correctly when editing in Word

    Hi
I keep seeing this issue albeit intermittently.  I have set up a doc library for my users which has a custom content type (lookup, metadata columns, etc)  . They all appear perfectly most of the time except the lookup column. Sometimes is just
decides to display the title field of the current library and not the lookup list title .  It is weird as it has been working perfectly for ages given the library is populated with valid documents.
There are some fixes listed here. Has anyone got any experience of this?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the lookup  column not display well while editing in word.
Did you customize the Document Information Panel?
I recommend you edit your custom document information panel or create a new document information panel, then re-publish it to check whether it works.
    https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Create-or-edit-a-custom-Document-Information-Panel-for-a-content-type-b701a9af-3ea6-4c1a-9e1c-75363bd987c9?ui=en-US&rs=en-GB&ad=GB
Or you can also use the methods in the post you have pasted to check whether it works.
As the limitation of the environment, we could not reproduce the issue in our environment.
I  would suggest you open a case to Microsoft Customer Service via Phone.

  • Background color does not show in a design mode preview

    Hi,
I installed Macromedia studio 8 a couple of days ago, and
started using Dreamweaver 8 with a "Missing Manual" book. I'm on
first chapter and following tutorial. It says to change a
background color to blue, and I did that. But this change was not
reflected in a design mode preview. I checked the code and it's
there. I viewed in an IE6, and it was there. My coworker installed
an evaluation version on his pc and it worked fine. I guess it's my
pc that has problem. I had IE7 and VS2005 on the pc when I
installed Macromedia 8. Due to help crash, I uninstalled IE7. It
did not solve the problem, so I uninstalled VS2005 and related
programs, and it did not solve the problem. I uninstalled and
reinstalled Dreamweaver 8 a couple of times, and it did not help.
Does anyone out there who have similar experiences, please share it
with me? I post this here before redo my pc. Thanks.

  • How to export user defined properties in seperate file

    Hello,
i want to export user definied properties in a seperate file using OMB+ commands. The documentation of this topic doesn't work.
The OMB Code I use is the following:
    OMBEXPORT TO MDL_FILE '${Pfad}/006_${Project}.mdl' \
    FROM PROJECT '${Project}' \
    ALL_CLASS_DEFINITONS \
    CONTROL_FILE '$SANDBOX_HOME/Project.ctl' \
    INCLUDE_USER_DEFINITIONS \
    OUTPUT LOG TO '${Pfad}/006_${Project}_exp.log'
The control file defines the path and filename for the the definitons in this way:
    DEFINITIONFILE=C:\Arbeitsverzeichnis\udp.mdd
But the file will not be created and i get no error message.
When using this command the udp' definitons will be exported, but in the general project export file. Which is the correct way to export the definition in a seperate file?

  • IP - Aggregation Level not showing in Query Designer as infoprovider

    Hi guys
I just started implementing Integragted Planning at a new client. I created an aggregation level to build my input ready query. However this aggregation level is not available as an inprovider in the Query Designer nor is it available under the infocube in RSA1 on which the aggregation has been defined.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks for your help.
    Ameya Kulkarni

    Hi Mayank
Good point. But I could not see the aggregation level whatsoever in RSA1. The aggregation level is consistent and activated but does not show in the query designer.
I was wondering if there is some configuration that I have to do to get the aggregation level available in the query desginer.
    Please let me know.
    Thanks,

I recently switched from Dreamweaver CS5.5 to CS6 with Creative Cloud but now some of my images aren't showing up in Design View. Everything is fine in Live View.
Any help would be gratefully received. I have attached the CSS & the HTML as well as two screen shots of Design View and Live View.
    The CSS is:

Unfortunately, Design View is incapable of displaying CSS border-radius, gradients, shadows and other CSS level 3 properties.   That's why we have Live View which behaves more like a real browser.
If you can't live with this, disable CSS in DW by going to View > Style Rendering > untick display styles.
Or, use a Design-Time Style Sheet that contains no CSS level 3 properties.
