Change XML form name

Hi experts,
How to change name of XML form saved in KM content. Currently it shows ''70fc4796-f9a5-2e10-c3bc-b659540ddc71.xml '. Appreciate any suggestions.

Hi,
You will have to add a input field in edit form of xml form. If you already have one, you can use that. Instad of binding this field to xml schema, bind it to Standard property which you will find under properties node. Display name is the property you should bind it. Whenever you save your form that field will over write the name of the document.

I am trying to use .js files instead of script in the jsp page with the use of
<script src="root/scripts/foo.js"></script>.
This foo.js has got the functions which access the information of the form in which they are included. So if I specify a dummy form name in the script, while a page (say "thisPage.jsp" with a form name "thisForm")is loading I would like all the references in the javascript file which are like this document.someFormName.---- to document.thisForm.--.
How do I do this.

actually, what you asked is completely a Javascript question. There's nothing JSP related about it. Nothing.
Your actual question, the one you actually posted, was answered correctly. If your question was wrong, then that's not our problem.
What does concurrent users have to do with anything anyway? Are they all using the same PC and browser instance at the same time? I doubt it. All the code you are referring to is Javascript code, and that will only run in the browser, not on the server, so concurrent user actions have nothing to do with it.
If you want to change the form name in JSP, then you can do so when writing the page:
<form name="<%= theFormName %>" action="..." method="POST">
Otherwise, 'document.'+name ..., eval(), all that is Javascript, not JSP, has nothing to do with JSP or other users.
So in conclusion, I don't think it's us people that posted answers interpretting things wrong, it's you who doesn't have any idea what he's doing.

Changing adobe forms name while saving

i have made an application in which i am generating pdf form but while saving a default name 'f' is appearing which i need to change. I am unable to change pdf form name.

XML forms name and id

Is possible to create a XML form with
- id like 1.2.3 or
- With name like 1.2.3 XMLFormName?
When I use the properties displayname or Id, I cant use a string pattern to define the character that has to use in displayname or Id. How can I do that?

Change System Form Name

Change Form Name

Dear All,
Is it possible to change the form name in any module of SAP B One. I want to change form name of A/R down payment request is it possible to do this in main menu of module. If yes please let me know the procedure.

Hi SWAPNIL,
Rahul is partially correct. You can change Purchase documents' name/form title from the document numbering form (AdministrationSystem IniticalizationDocument Numbering).
For Sales documents yes, you really need to use the UI API.

Dynamically changing the file name using the submit button

I am currently using a submit button to send information to myself from the user of the form. Is there any way to change the name of the file that is emailed as a .pdf file according to some type of parameter or data set that is collected in the form?

Not programmatically. The attachment wil take the same name as the opened PDF. If you change the name of the PDF then it will change your form name as well. That cannot be done programmatically.

Change InfoView Default Name 'object_view.aspx'

Hi,I am using a password protected Adobe PDF form which opens within the InfoView portal. When I click on the form name to open it, InfoView assigns the form the name of 'object_view.aspx'. When I email the pdf form by clicking an email button on the form, InfoView change the form name to 'object_view.pdf". Is there a way to have the form's real file name to be recognized and attached to email by Crystal Reports server?

I dont believe It is possible without hacking Infoview itself, which is unsupported and not recommended.

File name of xml form

I have created a new xml form.
For the name, I have used a label with property "displayname".
When I save the form, in the KM I can view the file with the name that I assigned, but if I go with the mouse over the file I see in the button bar that the original name is another.
There is one methods to change this name ? or save the file with a fixed name ?

its not possible to save the XMLFormsItem with a fixed name. Every time you are creating a new item, there is a unique id generated which is used as "real" item name.
This mechanism avoids conflicts with other items stored in that folder.

When you preview a PDF from inside designer, it uses a temp filename for the doc and therefore when you test xml submit etc you will get the 'e.g. _e8hfydsh55hsksdf.xml' as a filename. However if the form is saved locally (e.g. MyForm.pdf) and you use Reader / Acrobat to open the PDF, then the email's subject message as well as the xml file will be MyForm.xml. Does that help you?

Xml form HTML Editor control change.

Hi,
Is it possible to change External weblink control property of HTML Editor used in xml form builder.?
As of now this control gives 2 options to provide external weblink (1.Open in active window ,2.open in new window).I want to add open in same window as top.

If you are still interested in a solution to your problem...
We just hit upon the same problem. I found out that XMLForms reference htmledit4.js in their <XMLForm-Name>Edit.xsl, so you have to adapt that one.
I saved htmledit4.js and renamed it to htmledit5.js so that I can change the HTMLEditor settings only for my XMLForm (and not for e.g. SAPNewsForm).
I changed the entry in my XML-Form Editor settings XSL to reference the new JavaScript file:

Then I copied the method body of htmledit3.js (the standard htmleditor JavaScript file) to htmledit5.js and adapted it to just show the two tragets of <i>self</i> and <i>top</i>.
The method to display link properties is: <b>htmlb_hed_makeWebLinkDialog</b>
Find this method in both files. Then find in htmledit3.js the beginning of the target window selection-box:

I didn't check yet if a new generation of the XMLForms Project in the XMLFormsBuilder overwrites the changes in the XMLFormsEdit.xsl, however I guess so. A better way would be to adjust the JavaScript reference in some other configuration file that I haven't found yet, until then just adapt the XSL everytime...

Hi,
In KM folder "/etc/xmlforms" you will find a folder with the same name as your XML Forms Builder's project.
There are *.xml and *.xsl files for each of defined views (Edit, Show, RenderListItem) in this folder.
You may modify any of these files, the changes will have affect immediately after new version of file is uploaded.
But remember DO NOT USE "Generate project" button of XML Forms Builder anymore, otherwise your changes will be discarded.
The simplest way to develop and debug .xsl files is to connect "/etc/xmlforms/your_project" folder by Portal drive and copy xsl files from local computer directly to the KM.

My requirement is as follows.I have created xml form by using xml template and i displayed this xml form by using Km document iview. I need tochange the hyper link color in the xml form content. I dont want to go for manual process by editing the xml form. because i have several hundreds of xml forms.

Hi Ramana,
The most convenient way to change the hyper links is by using the Theme Editor. Go to System Administration --> Portal Display --> Select Theme --> Component-Specific Styles --> Links --> Function/Result Link.

Change error tag names of the Response xml of a vanilla Inbound Webservice

I am invoking a vanilla inbound webservice "Service Request" through Soap UI. Whenever any error occurs, in the response xml, some tags like "siebelf:error" is generated in the xml. However these tags are not present in the IO.My question is, can we change these tag names? If yes, then how?

Hi,
You should be able to edit the generated wsdl as you suggested, changing the
"return" to something else. Then save the wsdl to a file, say
"filename.wsdl", and then at the top of your jws add the following:
* @jws:wsdl file="filename.wsdl"
This will force the jws to use the wsdl you specify and you won't have to
edit any maps. Of course, as your jws changes, you will need to regenerate
the wsdl and change the "return" to something else.

For anyone searching how to do this, I've modified the Change User Password Form to contain a user's first and last names. As the User view is not accessible from this form, I added the following:
