Changing colors of individual bars in a XY Graph

I am using an XY Graph (bar style) to display 50 voltages. I have limit settings (low alarm,low warning, high warning, high alarm)that I would like to impose on each of the 50 bars in the XY graph. My problem is that any way I try it the limits are only imposed on the first bar on the graph and all the following bars change colors along with the first bar no matter what value they have. Is it possible to control the properties of individual bars inside an XY Graph ??

The short answer is no. All of the elements in a plot use the same
colors to draw. To get the display you want, you need four plots.
Write a subVI that takes in your array and returns the four that you
need. It will index the elements and generates a value in four othe
r
arrays such that three of them are NaN and the fourth contains your
value depending on the alarm status keeping the same X value with all
four plots. As an example, if the value is lower than the low alarm
limit, the value will be placed in the low array and NaNs in the other
three arrays.
Now wire the four arrays to the graph as a multiplot, you will either
use a build array or a Build Clustered array depending on the XY type.
The plots will overlay, with only one point being non-NaN for each X
location. It will use the color for plot 0, 1, 2, or 3 depending on
which array the value was in.

Change colors of individual pixels on intensity graph?

I would like to be able to change the color of a set of individual pixels within an intensity graph, to blue for example, while leaving the color table otherwise as is, for example, gray scale. The change to blue would be based on location, not on current gray value. I think I can accomplish this using the mask fx with picture controls, and then convert to intensity graph. Is there a more direct way? A good example to demonstrate this capability would be just using a 'mouse down' event on an intensity graph to change the color at the mouse location. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Yes, seems to work fine .
If you have LabVIEW 8.0, there is another possibility. There is a new property that allows drawing any pictures or picture elements on your graph area. Of course you could draw individual pixels, but nothing prevents you from e.g. drawing circles, squares, odd shaped areas, arrows or event text. ... Anything you could do with a plain picture indicator. One example that ships with LabVIEW 8.0 is Envelope.vi, see image.

Change colors of specific bars

I would like to change the colors used in specific bars of a bar chart. I want to highlight certain bars for illustration, however they are not different groups of data. I just want to manually change the color of a single bar. Is that posible?

Changing colors of individual records in multi-record block

Can any point me to where I should place the code to programmatically change the color of a record in a multi-record block based on a particular column value?
For instance, if block.col1='OPEN', I'd like the entire row to display as BLUE. If block.col1='CLOSED', I'd like the entire row to display as RED. I've tried placing my code at the block POST_QUERY level and WHEN_NEW_RECORD instance level without success.
I'm a relative forms newbie, so any advice would be appreciated.

I tried putting it in the 'when new record instance' trigger but it did not work completely. I put them same code in the Post_Query trigger of the multiple record block along with the 'When new record instance' trigger and it worked perfectly.
I'm not forms expert, and there's probably a reason why I needed to put it in two places to make it work for me but that's a question of a forms expert.

Gantt chart- How to change the color of time bars of different versions

Hi All,
My Client wants to see all changes in planning schedule. I made different versions of these changes but he also want to see all these changes in gantt chart and in different colors. I tried to change the color in planning board assistant but in this screen (CJ27/ CJ2B). we cannot view all versions together. And if I use CN41, there I cannot change the colors of time bars.
Secondly, we can change colors of times bars of basic dates, forecast dates and actual dates but there is no provision to change the colors of schedule bars of different project versions. Kindly reply-
1. How to see all project versions in CJ27 or How to customise bar chart in cn41 or if we change in SPRO, then how to change graphic profile in project info profile
2. How to change colors of different time bars of different versions.
3. How to mention these legends (meaning of each color in chart) at footer of gantt chart (in print outs)

actually I've created new project planning board profile where planning board assistant is customized but unable to use this profile in CN41. we can change PS info profile in CN41 and that;s why I thought that planning board profile may be assigned somewhere in PS info profile so that changes in planning board assistant will be applied in CN41 through PS info profile. Graphic profile is too complex to understand and not sure if it will help to get colored time bars of projct versions in gantt chart. Still not clear.
Secondly not able to see all versions (snap shots) in gantt chart with different colors of time bars.
I mean planning board screen can be customized but we cannt see different versions here which are possible in CN41, but we cannt customize the gantt chart (time bars) in CN41. Pls help.

Thanks Gary, but no, that does not work. First of all, I can't select each bar individually. When I click on one bar, all three bars are selected.
When I use "inspector > graphic" I have 5 fill options: none, color, gradient, image, tinted image. The default selection for the theme I'm using is image. What I would like to use for my charts is the same image that this theme uses for table headers. It has the same texture as the chart, but a different colour. Using anything but image or tinted image removes the texture from the fill.
I have found I can do one of two things. I can select tinted image from the fill selections in "inspector > graphic" or I can select 2D Image Fills from "inspector > chart > chart colors". The first choice does not allow me to match the table header colour because it only allows me to apply a tint to the existing colour and adjust its opacity. The existing colour has too much influence on the fill, so I can't find an RGB adjustment that will match the table header colour. The image selections from "inspector > chart > chart colors" do not quite match the colour or the texture. Again, I can try to tint the image, but I still can't get it to match and the texture is not the same anyway.
The image I want to use obviously exists in the software as it is an attribute of the theme, but for some reason is inaccessible. The other angle I have tried is to edit the theme, but I can't figure out how to do that either.

I have made a chart by using the spreadsheet and converting my data to a bar chart. I would like to change the default colors of the bars in the chart but so far haven't figured out how to do it, if indeed it is possible. Is it? If so, how should I go about it? I have been able to change the labels for the bars, but I want to change the colors of the bars themselves. Also, is it possible to change the arrows in the pictogram graph to some other clipart that might better represent the thing I am graphing?

Paint tools won't work, as the bars are Draw objects, and you have only limited control over them while the chart is still connected to the spreadsheet. Click on the colour square in the Legend. The white dot indicates it's selected.
Now click on the Fill formatting button in the bottom section of the Tools (It's the almost invisible plain white button in the stack of three. The other two are the Pen formatting button—which has a black outline—and the Text formatting button—which has a T.). Then choose a colour from the Colors palette in the stack to the right of the three buttons.

Should work like this:
Double click the chart.
In the Modify dialogue, click Series.
In the Series dialogue, click the Sample box. A black outline should appear around the box, indicating it is selected.
Press Delete to delete the current image. You should then see only the background colour.
Press command-V to Paste your image.
Uncheck Repeating to get a single copy of the image, stretched to fill the bar.
Check Repeat to get a fixed size image that repeats to fill the bar.
Set the overlap percentage if you want the repeating image to overlap.
Click OK to return to the chart and view the results.

Hello Experts,
We would like to change the color of a particular bar in the chart. Can someone share a code snippet to achieve the same? If we use color-pallete aggregation then color change is getting reflected to all the bars.
We are using makit library, please note that we had tried the same with viz library also.

Print the Chart to PDF and import the PDF to Pages, with the Legend wherever you want it.

Those navbar links are generated by javascript and are not user editable. You can create your own navbar using a Text Based Navbar and then have complete control over font (stick with the Web Safe Fonts), color, size and rollover colors.
Cyclosaurus has posted an HTML snippet that can change the font style of the navbar of each page that the snippet is applied to. How do you change the colors of individual cells within a 2D array of numeric indicators?
I want the VI to check a data value and if it is failing, white out a square at a specific index coordinate. I have it working with color boxes, but I'm not sure how to use the property node function, to change the color of individual cells, by coordinates.
I have attached the VI using color boxes. If you run the VI, the box corresponding to the Step control should turn white.
I want to do the same thing, using numeric indicator boxes inside the array.

Get rid of all these sequences! That's just bad form.
Your code has a few logical problems. Why do you create a boolean array if you later only look at the last element (Yes, the FOR loop does nothing useful, except in the last iteration because your outputs are not indexing. All other iterations are useless, you only get the result of the last array element. My guess is that you want to color the index white if at least one of the numbers is out if range. Right?
It is an absolute nightmare to manage all your numeric labels. Just read them from a 2D array. Now you can simply find the index of the matched elements and don't have to spend hours editing case structure conditions.
Attached is a simple example how you would do what I meant (LV7.1). Modify as needed.
