Changing name of class file and it still working

I am simply trying to change the name of this class file i have named G3webcam.class
and i want to change it to webcam.class when i do this the applet does not work any more. If someone knows of a simple fix please help me.

Look at previous post...you cannot do this with a class file. The class loader will try to find G3webcam.class and cannot find it...so it will throws an exception.
In order to change, you need to the source code to all the classes of your application, including G3webcam. Then, you can rename the G3webcam.java to webcam.java. Change all the name of G3webcam in the source code to Webcam (including all source file tha use this class). The compile the application. Java compiler will then create the webcam.class file for you.
Unless you're an expert in reading the Java byte code, i don't see anyother way. (Reflection maybe?, but then, you will have to have the code inside your application to do that, which i doubt at this moment)
DJ Decompiler or any decompiler only decompiler the Java byte code to text...so you can read it in text. You can save it as webcam.class, but it will do nothing except make the application not running again.

I have the source code of a rather large java application and I want to set up an Eclipse project for it.
After diffing the WEB-INF directory generated by Eclipse with the one generated by the original maven build script I noticed that there are several files of the form "Name$1.class" which do not exist in the Eclipse output.
My questions are, what is the purpose of this $1 string in the class file name and how do I generate those in Eclipse?

ok, but why are they generated in the Maven environment but not in the Eclipse environment?
To be exact, Eclipse does create inner class files, however when diffing both output directories I have some extra inner class files generated by Maven that are not there in the Eclipse output.
Maybe there are some java compiler settings for this?

Wrong class name inside class file

I wrote a normal applet, and there are no compiling errors.
But if I try to run it in my netscape 4.77 following exception occurs:

I'm not sure but here's a couple ideas. If the class is a public class, then the name of the .class file and the class must be identical and remember that java is case sensitive. Second thought is a class that is defined to be part of a package must reside in a directory that matches the package name.
If you post more info, you might get a better answer.

Recent changes to the class file format?

I have the JVM Spec, 2nd ed., on my desk. I'm trying to find out about changes to the class file format since its publication, i.e. what are the differences between class file versions 46.0, 47.0 and 48.0?
So far, searching the JDC and the web hasn't helped. Does a document describing the changes exist?

I've developed a report running Oracle Reports 10g that is being emailed to a user. I would like to specify the name of the file and it's extension that is attached. Are there variables or parameters in Oracle Reports that I can use to accomplish this?
It looks like by default that the file name is using the Name value found in the Property Inspector for the report. I have not been able to find a way to re-assign this value with a value from either the input or select values in the data model.
Will Oracle Reports 10g allow me to define the name of the file and the extension?
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the quick reply and information. I almost thought you had solved my problem until I found out that distribution and bursting do not support delimited and spreadsheet output. One of the two files I need to email has a desformat of SPREADSHEET.

This must be coming from the one of the function module exceptions that you are calling in the method. Put break points at all function module calls and find out the reason.

I am working with forms in different versions.
I have number of fmx files with few are complied in 5i, few are in 6i and few are complied in 10g.
All are in the same directory.
The problem is because of all are reside in the same directory, i don't know the version of the selected file.With out changing/opening the fmb file and fmx file Can i know the version of the selected fmx file?
Is there any possiblity to get the version of fmx file with java code?

Freeing Up Space on The Hard Drive
1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.
You need at least 12 GBs of free space to install Mavericks plus another 6 GBs for the download.
Select your HDD icon. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the upper most panel you will see the information displayed: Capacity, Available, and Used. You want to know what's Available.

Do you mean that PSD comes as a default option or that JPEG is not available no matter what?

Add the .class file containing the public static void main(...) method to the project by clicking on the + toolbar button in the navigator, open the project properties and properly set the additional classpath then right click on the .class in the navigator and say run. It should work, I've just tried it.
Doesn't work for a .jar yet, in JDeveloper 9.0.3 it works both for .class and .jar
