Changing Subject: Header for bounced messages

I am trying to alter the Subject: header for bounced messages, especially mail bounced from our gateway servers for "User unknown" errors. The current Subject: header for such bounces reads:
Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed
I would like this altered to be, say:
Delivery Notification: Remote SMTP server has rejected address
or something similar. Now, I've read the documentation on managing status notification messages, but there seems to be no correlation between the files in ..../config/locale/C and the text being placed in deliery failure messages. For instance, the return_failed.txt file contains the text:'
Your message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:
%R
Yet I can't see this anywhere in the bounced message. Nor any other text from any of these files.
There also seems to be a lack of information on header manipulation in these files.

Unfortunately the use of the Subject override "$T" flag isn't documented for the NOTIFICATION_LANGUAGE mapping table (although it is for the DISPOSITION_LANGUAGE mapping table -- http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-4428/bgalb?a=view).
To replace the header for the "Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed" bounce messages I added the following to the top of the NOTIFICATION_LANGUAGE mapping table in mappings.locale:

It's a long time since I changed an Icon on anything on my computer.
The icon for the App is stored in the App and there are two ways to change it.
You can do a Get Info (CMD and i Keys together) on the app itself and then Paste a new icon to the top field.
The other way is to edit/change the icns file in the App itself.
Right/Control Click the app and choose Show Package Contents.
Open the Contents folder then Resources and the iChat.icns file is in there
I am presuming that if you use the first method - the bit that puts the Red area with the number in it uses something else (possibly the icns file)
I cannot find any "supply" of the red numbers. In fact I use Chax (An iChat Add-On) that changes this to the first part of the first IM that is not read - which suggests the red area is the important bit.
If you do try to edit the .icns file I would save the Original first.

I need to set some custom HTTP Header when i send the SOAP message to an endpoint.
I tried this..but doesn't solve my requirement.
SOAPMessage soapmsg = messageFactory.createMessage();
MimeHeaders mime = soapmsg.getMimeHeaders();
mime.addHeader("SOAPAction", "xxxx");
mime.addHeader("Sender", "yyy");
SOAPMessage reply = connection.call(soapmsg, destination);

The following snippet is some code froma stand-alone web service client that I use for testing. It picks up an XML as the payload of the web service, wraps it in a SOAP message and fires it at the web service endpoint.

i think i have an general problem with understanding apex:
I can edit all the pages with the userinterface from apex (application builder), but for example i don't know the source code when apex is calling an process after header, fetch rows etc. That's why i don't know how to modify to get some specialized things.
In my case: I'll edit header for one page (actually i'll for each but i don't know how to do this), click on edit page, select footer or header and the fields are empty. Where can i find the entry &APEX_USER?
All the processes which runs in the background where can i find these?

IDOC Segment missing for MATMASS Message type

Through change pointer program for the message type YAUIHUBMATMAS IDOC is triggered.
1) Change pointers are defined in system for the message type T Code u2013 BD52.
2) If respective field is changed in material master , this data is stored in change pointers table BDCP.
3) Background jobs are scheduled every day, which searches for the changes pointer table and triggers the idoc.
In our case IDOC is getting generated but with one segment missing.
We have analysed the succesful and failed IDOC and found desrepency is field updation of BDCP table.
Succesful case contain material number in object value of ZZMDST field where as failed contain some other value.
Can anyone please help us to guide how the BDCP table is updated and the values are mapped in it or any other suggestion to find why the segment is missing in it.

Change pointer is triggering the idoc fo this Z-field but in some cases one segment is missing .
This is z-field in the basic data view of material master.
Yes , we have checked the change history in material master for this field it is getting updated there in BDCP table as well but in BDCP table if this field is flagged then object value is not contain material number instead it contain some other number .
But in case of succesful IDOC the object value is same as material number.

"Subject" Heading has dissappeared

The "Subject" heading in the message viewer has disappeared from Mail 3.6 on the computer of someone here at work.
I can't find any way of bringing it back.
Control/click on the headings does not show "Subject" as an option.

Could it be that the window is too narrow and Subject has disappeared on the right? Try widening the window, and removing or reducing the width of some of the other columns.
Subject doesn't appear in the control-click list as it is always supposed to be there.

Change a Header with Postfix

I have a nagging feeling that I can't do this with Postfix, but I thought I would go ahead and ask.
I use a 4D bulk mail module for sending my permissions-based bulk mail. Unfortunately, the application doesn't add a "real name" to the From: header. As such, my bulk mail is triggering the NOREALNAME score in SpamAssassin and whatever the equivalent there is in other filters. While getting this fixed in the 4D application has been promised by the developers, it generally takes the developer quite a while to make such a fix.
So, I'm stuck wondering if I could jigger Postfix to change the header for me. In other words ...
if the From: header = "[email protected]", then change so that the From: header = "Prufrock's Promotions Newsletter <[email protected]>"
Before ...
From: [email protected]
After ...
From: Prufrock's Promotions Newsletter <[email protected]>
Is something like this possible?

As far as I know (not a 100% sure though), postfix can only rewrite the address part of the from header, not the name.
So it could change [email protected] to [email protected], but not add the name.
A solution would be to use the content-filter facility of postfix to process mails through an external script. (Same principle as amavisd or dkimproxy).

I'm checking outgoing email messages for spam. I will send bounce to email sender (user from my domain) if message is tagged as positive or suspected spam. ok, I can set it, but how can I change text in bounce message?
default bounce if mail is tagged as spam is:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: FW: something
Sent: 7/12/2009 8:33 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
[email protected] on 7/12/2009 8:35 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact your system administrator.

^^ but there is no information for the sender that message is not possible deliver, because is tagged as spam.
Is it possible to change this default message?

You are correct that it doesn't appear that the Positive Spam or Suspect Spam setting doesn't appear to give you any leeway on using a different bounce profile/message to whomever you bounce it back to.
You may want to consider this workaround.
1. In the Action, change it to "Deliver"
2. In the Advanced section of both the Positive and Suspect spam, there is a section labeled "Add Custom Header". Add a custom header like the following:
X-Internal-Spam-Message: true
3. Then, since this message will still go through the outgoing content filters, you can create an outgoing content filter that looks for the "X-Internal-Spam-Message" header. If that header exist, then the outgoing content filter will match. For the action, you may need to use the "notify()" action and notify the original sender that it could not get delivered since it was detected to be spam. There is an option to attach the original message. The reason you need to use the notify() instead of the bounce() is because bounce doesn't currently have the option to specify which bounce profile to use.
You can only specify a different bounce profile in the "Mail Policies > Destination Controls".
