Changing the natural order in TreeMap

Question

Hi all,
I'm extending TreeMap that its keys are String and its values are of some object i created. I want the map to be ordered (the keys) alphabetically (as usual) but i don't want capital letters to appear first and only then the small letters - i guess i need Comparator for this.
My questions are:
1. Do i have to make some comparator for this purpose?
2. If so, can u give me a working sample (partial even) - because i tried creating some inner class that will extends Comparator and give it to the TreeMap but it asked me to be static and then it didn't allow me to create a new instance.

Thanks, haven't tried it yet but i will in a few second, my problem with the inner class is simple - i'm trying to do this and the Eclipse tells me to make add static modifier to the StringComparator instance.
public class Tree extends TreeMap
    private StringComparator stringComparator = new StringComparator();
    public FilesTree()
        super(stringComparator);
    //code here
    public class StringComparator implements Comparable
      //method compareTo...
}Why? what to do, what to do?!
