Changing Track Style for Score

I wrote a tenor part and set the track's Style to Bass. However, in the score, it renders it in Piano style (split treble/bass). I tried editing style in Layout, but that only lets me change the Piano Style, which is defined just fine for a piano. I don't want to mess up the Piano Style definitions; I want to change which style that Track uses. When I choose a Style for a Track, where is the "I mean it" button?

Hi,
"Automatic" you will only see if there is more than one track selected for display in the score editor. As soon as you select a single track, the Inspector should switch from Automatic to "Inst 1" (Or Inst x whatever) and you should see the piano or bass preset.
So, select the single staff you want to change.
Sorry if this isn't the answer, but for me, it always works. Try to break down the whole process in small steps:
1. Open a fresh, new project, insert a single midi or software instrument track.
2. Record some midi. Now
3. Open Score Editor (CMD-3)
4. Select the Staff you recorded by clicking (single click) on it - the lines should turn blue
5.Go to the left of the window (inspector) - select the style from the pop-up-list (click-hold to bring up the style list). The style should stay how you've selected it.
If not: Report back. I then suggest you go upstairs to the Logic Studio Forum where all the gurus are. Maybe they know the solution, because to me it sounds very strange (like bug).
Cheers + good luck,
Fox

  • Where can I change the style for a subtab?

Where can I change the style for a subtab? I cant find the Style Element Property for this. I only want to change the text size (the automatic size is too large form my page)... can someone help me???????.. thanks

    Hi there
Well, this is a yes and no answer.
Yes, you could change an icon, But no, RoboHelp won't make it easy. What you will end up doing is massaging the JavaScript code for the WebHelp output. This particular change isn't really for the faint of heart. Oh, and you would likely have to change it each time you generate your WebHelp output.
I would encourage you (and others) to consider submitting a Wish Form to ask Adobe to put this on their radar for a future version.

  • Change caption style for all captions in a slideshow?

I'm working on a slideshow that has 111 photos. I had Photoshop Elements 4 add captions, which were already stored with each photo (I had added the captions using different software).
I probably will want to use a pdf file for the output of this slideshow. But I may also simply want to have people view a set of numbered jpg's with captions visible, using something like Windows XP fax and picture viewer.
My problem is that the captions are plain white, without any shadow. Any of my photos that have been rotated have blank white areas to the right and left of the photos. If the caption is wide, it isn't readable on the sides.
I want to change the caption style, probably to use the choice that is white with black shadow around it. I can see a possibility of how to do this one photo at a time, and it seems to take several steps. I'd choose a style, create a new textbox, copy and paste the caption into that textbox, place the textbox where I want it. Even then, I'm not sure how to replace the existing poorly formatted caption.
I'm wishing to avoid repeating that 111 times. Is there any way to just change the caption style? Or to create a macro that will take these steps repeatedly for each slide?
I just watched a tutorial on creating slideshows in Premiere Elements that appears to offer many more options for working with titles and their styles. But I don't think I want this to be a Premiere Elements slideshow. One use of this slideshow will be for people giving presentations, and they may want to move forward manually, so they can talk for a longer or shorter time for each slide.
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Harriet

I am willing to stand corrected Harriet, but I don't know that you can.
Having said that you could change the background colour to black or some
other colour that white will show up against like blue... this will
    alleviate the "font colour" problem.

  • Change CSS styles for Acces Web App

Here's the problem, the #s4-mini-header needs to be set to display:none so the SharePoint header is not shown.  Ideally this would be conditional based on group membership (i.e. Site Owners would see the section, for read only it would be hidden)
I need to block the "Open in Access" option allows people with read only access to open my database on their local systems.  We're publishing a "member" price list and do not want someone to be able to download the whole list
and share it with our competitors.
I've seen quite a few posts on this without solution.  The most common is that "MS is aware of the issue".
I should be able to hid it in CSS if I can find the file and edit it.  It appears to be using the minimal.master mater page.  SharePoint designer is not allowed to open the site, is this something I need Visual Studio to do?
I've been given a deadline of today to make the site available for our partners so it looks like they'll get the Options header..
    Thanks for any help!
    VV

I have found a KLUDGE that solves this particular problem.  Unfortunately it impacts all of the access websites served by that IIS server.
The problem is that the default.aspx page created when the Access Web App is published has the MasterPageFile value set to point to a file named minimal.master located in \15\TEMPLATE\GGLOBAL.  That file is loaded by the default
page.  I couldn't find the default.aspx file to edit so I did the next best thing:  I modified the minimal.master file.
To repeat, the one big gotcha is that changing the file at that location applies the change to ALL access web apps on the IIS server.
I added style="display:none !important" to the first s4-pr div and the banner was removed.
A more elegant solution would have been to edit the default.aspx file but I couldn't find it.  If someone comes up with a better way to do this please post it!
    Thanks for all who helped!

  • Can't change track order for a CD I'm trying to burn - Help! :-/

I'm trying to put together a CD for my girlfriend (yes I know... sappy) but can't seem to change the order. I'm feeling a bit like an idiot because I was able to change them just hours ago but not anymore. I also noticed I can't drag items from other playlists into this one. It's NOT a SmartPlaylist and no I don't have any of the sort headings selected besides the first one (little arrow thingy).
I've read everything I could find in the forums and none of it's helped.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Indeed it is. That is what I meant by "bug."
I've compared my itunes setup to another computer side by side and can't see why it won't work. I've tried restarting the program, the computer, etc but it still won't allow me to drag songs to playlists or reorder them within the playlist.
Did you try the "Add To Playlist" approach that was suggested? That should help you get around the first problem. As a workaround for the second, start a new playlist and add the songs one at a time in the order you want.
    Hope this helps.

  • Changing  Jheadstart Style for my Style.css

    Hi All
I got a Style.css and I´d to implement it on jspx.
    Is it possible?
    How do y do that?

Not sure what you mean. If you want to change the look and feel of the pages, then you can apply ADF Faces skinning:

  • How do I change a font for a specific widget and not my whole site?

I recently added an affiliate link to my site, and the widget they provided is referencing my CSS text style sheet.
    type="text/javascript"
The problem is that the text on my site is white, and the search box in the affiliate box is white, so you don't see anything in the text box unless you highlight the text. I changed the font color on the affiliate widget on their site, but it still comes up white.
I did see a discussion where they suggested changing the font family, which may be a start. I'm wondering though how can I change the style for just this one reference and not my whole site without changing the code I was provided from the affiliate. Perhaps I need to add something to my style.css?
    Thanks!

You might try inline CSS styles in your widget HTML code but without seeing your page, it's impossible to be more specific.

I want to use JavaFx scrollbar in my application as well as I am using Swing JScrolPane in some of the screens.
I would like to change the style for JavaFx scrollbar. is it possible to apply custom stylesheet for javaFx scrollbar ?

Yes, like for any control (or node).
Although I haven't seen any useful property beside 'color' property (and somehow 'base' one).

  • Change Tracker in MDM

    Hello All,
Can you please let me know, how many values get stored in a change tracker.
For example -- if change tracker is on... for a field Color....
and I change the value of it from.... Blue  to Red ... then to Green....
In that case.. will all the 3 value (i.e Blue, Red and Green ) store in the change tracker table at backend????
Or only the last update value... i.e Red and Green will be stored??
Can we see all these values in EP.. through standard iViews... or we need to create custom iViews to view these data???
    Request you inputs.
    Thanks,
    Priya.

    Hi Priya,
Only on saving , the values will get stored in database.
If you save for all three values , then all three will get saved.
The old value and new value both entries will be stored in database and can be retrieved by standard change tracker view.

  • CCG Change Tracking

    Hi,
I have one beginner question about Configuration Controls Governor 5.5.1:
After you set up the Change Tracking Definition and ran the definition to deploy change tracking once, does this mean CCG will start tracking all changes to the configurations defined? Or do you have to schedule the definition to run multiple times to capture the changes? For example, if I changed open/close GL period and changed it back to the original state within 2 minutes and my definition was scheduled to run daily, would CCG capture the two changes?
    Thanks!

Once you create the Change Tracking Definition, you will have to schedule it. If you ran the Deploy Change Tracking program, then check to see when the Change Tracking Transfer program is going to be run next. You can select Jobs > View Future Jobs to see its next occurrence. This program will push the changes from your ERP to CCG for reporting. If it hasn't run yet or may take a while, you can run a single instance of this program to push the data over for your reporting needs.
If you changed the open/close GL period and changed it back to the original, and you have configured a change tracking definition for this, then yes it will capture the change.
    I hope that helps.

  • Score: Changing 'split' point (for different hands) throughout a piece

I don't do a massive amount of score work, but when I do, it's usually single staff stuff. However I have some piano pieces I need to print and present in full glory and I'm stuck already...
Basically, I obviously need to define the left and right hand parts between the treble and bass clefs, but no matter where I set the split point in 'Staff Styles' its never convenient for the whole piece. So for example I can set it to D3 for the first 4 bars, but then a C3 note enters which needs to be played by the right hand, but its showing in the bass clef.
How do I remedy this so I can choose which line a note appears on depending on which hand it should be played with. There's a large range on most of the pieces so I'm going to need to figure this out...
Hope that all makes sense. Look forward to figuring it out (not to mention a whole load of other issues I'm yet to encounter!).
    Cheers - Sidx

hi sidereal ... here's the steps you need:
    1 - Open Score Editor>Layout>Staff Styles
2 - Go to the box on the left hand side and with the downward arrow and select a Piano Style
3 - Just above that box (where you see New and Edit) select New and then Duplicate Style
4 - It will say Piano*copied - click on the box and rename that of your choice say "Sidereal Piano"
( the reason you do this is because you might want to keep the original template of that piano style for other uses)
5- Now look along until you see the final column Assign and underneath Chan and Split -assign each channel a different midi channel ( say 1 and 2) and assign the split point as you wish ( it doesnt really matter where this is because you can still shift individual notes up or down just by changing their channel).
6 - At this point, whatever midi notes you have already played in will all be randomly part of one clef. You can use the voice separation tool to draw a squiggly line between the notes, and they will drop down to the bass clef - or as others have recommended select those notes you dont want in the treble and change midi channel - or + 1 by key command
7 - You can play in your piano parts, join all the regions and then in Score Editor assign the whole lot to your custom 'Sidereal Piano' style and follow the above procedure
    hope that helps...

  • GREP for changing paragraph style?

Okay folks, I have another one for all you smart people out there. I think GREP can be used to change formatting in the following instance, but I have no idea how to set it up.
I have a very long document, essentially a phone book-type listing of names, phone numbers, addresses, well over 150 pages' worth. The paragraph styles are fairly simple, only two per listing. The name/phone number is bold with a right hand tab with leader dots to a phone number that is flush to the right side of the column. The following lines are flush left, not bold, but indented 6pts. I've placed the text file and assigned the entire thing the NameListing paragraph style. I'd like to use GREP to find the address lines and change them to the NameListingAddress paragraph style.
Here's a screen shot to give you an idea. The left column is formatted correctly with both styles, the right column is "raw", all paragraphs formatted with the NameListing paragraph style.
Is this an appropriate application for GREP? If so, how do I set it up to only change the paragraphs that "don't have tabs"? It would save me a crapload of time.
    THANKS again! --Dina

If your intent here is to use the character style to trigger a variable, as I belive it is based on your other thread, you MUST apply the character style up to the first tab to pick up the text at the start of the paragraph. There are two approaches to automating the formatting after that, but it may be too late for you to be much help.
In cases where every listing has the same number of lines it makes sense to use a unique paragraph style name (not necessarily format -- base on on another) for each lline and make it its own paragraph. Set up "next styles" to rotate through the list so each line is assigned the correct style based on the style of its predecessor. You get the rotation to sart over by making the first line style the next style for the last line. This works for manual entry and can be applied to an entire block of placed text in a single operation by selecting the text, then right-clicking the name of the first style to be applied and choose Apply <stylename>, Then Next Style. This ONLY works if you have exactly the same number of paragraphs in each listing.
The other option is to use forced line breaks instread of paragraphs and use one style for the entire listing. Set a left indent and negative first line indent, create a character style for the part of the first line that you want to appear in your header and apply it Up To ^t^n (that's a little-known trick -- if you enter more than one character in the trigger for a nested style it will activate on the first instance of any of the characters listed that occurs, so for example if you enter the word cat, your style will end on the first, c, a or t that appears inthe paragraph. ^t is the metacharacter for tab, and ^n is for forced line break) so that the style will end at either the tab, if present, or the forced line break if there is no tab (if you use a right-indent tab instead of a regualr right aligned tab [tricky to do a leader, but that's another discussion] substitute ^y for the ^t), then add a nested Line Style for one line. That line style should use a second character style that is based on the first character style you created for the name text and has no other attributes if you want the line to be the same from end to end. Sounds more complex than it is, and will work for listings with variable lenghths. The trick is to repalce your paragraph returns with forced line breaks, and will require a little thinking.
If using separate paragraph styles for each line, you'd use the same technique of a nested style up to a tab for the first line, but there is no need to get fancier since it will apply to the whole line if there is no tab. The paragraph style, in this case, would carry all of the bold and size formatting (and no need for any indents), and the character style would be nothing more than a name that will allow you to use it in the variable.
