Changing tree structure in dir 5.1
Hello all,
Our organization is using directory server 5.1 and messaging server5.2.Our company is going for a change of directory tree structure. Can anybody please tell me whether for this change of directory tree structure we will have to again go for a reinstall of our messaging servers. Is there a way by which present messaging servers can be made to operate with new directory server with revamped directory tree structure. We are not going to upgrade to a new version of either directory or messaging server.
Stay with Pages 09 if it is working. Pages 5 has a lot of problem from what i read in this forum and also is lacking about 100 features that Pages 09 has. That does say a lot about Pages 5!

Process chains - change tree structure
I am making a process chain for the first time. I am able to see my chain only in "Tree" format but I want to view and work as "Org Chart". How can I do it?
I think you are talking about "Flow Chart".
Your present setting is "Tree Display". Just go to the top menu "Setting" which is third from right, and Click on "Network Display" which is at the bottom. It will then display your process chain in the "Network" format, which is like flow charts... -
Can we change the Bill/Payment tree structure on Control central page?
Can we change the Bill/Payment tree structure on Control central page to Bill/Payment Tree containing a single node for all A/R related activities for a specific bill period, in reverse chronological order. Basically the tree should look like
+ Bill - Date: 03-17-2010 Complete
+++++ CR Note - Date: 05-04-2010 Complete
++++++++++ Pay - Date: 05-04-2010 Frozen
+ Bill - Date: 03-17-2010 Complete
+++++ Pay - Date: 05-04-2010 Frozen
I have tried changing controlCentralBPTree.xml but if I do that the tree is not expanding its just collapsed I m not able to expand.
So do I need to change some other file to change the tree structure and look like above?Hello CHS.
I tested your project but to change the label and has not worked.
I tried running the Application Module and test the ViewCriteria, and show correctly the labels defined in control hint of bind variable.
Again, I think the component af:query should do the same, but does not work.
Any Oracle ACE Director some could verify this problem?
thank you very much -
To change Font of a Particular Node in a tree structure
IS there any way to set Visual attribute property to a particular node_lable on Heirachical tree Structure.
e.g.
Main Office has Two Branch Offices(Office1 and Office2). and Office1 has Three Sub Branches(sub1,sub2 and sub3).If I am working from Office1, and I want to print Organisation Structure with Office1 with font_weight as Bold.Enhancements IF applied they will be available only in new releases of Forms, which probably be 11i. It's not possible to have it in Forms 6i.
Froms 6i it's already out of support (has minimum support I think).

Listing File Hierarchy in console using a Tree structure
first off i'm a college student. i'm not that good at java... we got this CA in class and try as i might i just can't get my head around it
i was wondering if someone who know a bit more about java then i do would point me in the right direction, were i'm going wrong in my code
i have to list out sub-files and sub-directorys of a folder (i.e. C:/test) to console using tree structure
like this
startingdir
dir1 //subfolder of startingdir
dir11 //subfolder of dir1
dir111 //subfolder of dir11
dir12 //subfolder of dir1
file1A // document on dir1
dir2 //subfolder of startingdir

Do you have [red hair|http://www.dennisthemenace.com/]? ;-)
My advise with the tree structure is pretty short and sweet... make each node remember
1. it's parent
2. it's children
That's how the file system (inode) actually works.
<quote>
The exact reasoning for designating these as "i" nodes is unsure. When asked, Unix pioneer Dennis Ritchie replied:[citation needed]
In truth, I don't know either. It was just a term that we started to use. "Index" is my best guess, because of the
slightly unusual file system structure that stored the access information of files as a flat array on the disk, with all
the hierarchical directory information living aside from this. Thus the i-number is an index in this array, the
i-node is the selected element of the array. (The "i-" notation was used in the 1st edition manual; its hyphen
became gradually dropped).</quote> -
Bookmark tree structure using Microsoft word 2007 not creating properly
I have a word document file in MS office 2007. When i am converting the word document to a PDF file using the HEADING option , the bookmarks tree structure in the PDF file is not created properly. Means that the between content of a topic is also read
as a bookmark heading while conversion. Only the heading of a topic should be read as a bookmark and the sub heading as a sub-bookmark but the content should not come in the tree structure of bookmarks in a PDF file..
For Example:- if MICROSOFT is the heading of any xyz.doc then it should be the parent bookmark. . but in my case , MICROSOFT is coming as a bookmark but the content inside this is also created as a bookmark..
So my question is that what is the internal structure of the of the MS word 2007 to convert a doc to a PDF file???
Because it is not creating the bookmarks tree structure properly...and taking the content randomly from the middle of a topic and adding it in the bookmark tree structure...(which should not happen). The font throughout the doc is the same and aligned properly..so
why it is randomly taking the between text as a bookmark...???
what is the root cause of this bug..?? how can this problem be solved..?? is there any sort of change have to be done in my word doc.?
i need an urgent help regarding this...
NOTE:- I am using MS office 2007.I tried this but didnt work for mr. Can you help? How did you PDFed??
It works for me in Word 2010 (or later) using Save As PDF. It did not work in Word 2007 using the Adobe Acrobat PDF printer nor using Word 2007's save as pdf utility. (The hyperlink showed up but was not active.) It did work using the Acrobat tab in Word
2007 (this requires Adobe Acrobat).
I did this by:
first creating the text box with the hyperlink in the body of the document and moving it into the footer area (but still not in the footer itself).
Then I used the Format tab of Text Box Tools and the Postion button (More Layout Options).
I gave it an absolute vertical position relative to the page.
Then I cut the text box, went into the footer, and pasted it there.
It might have worked to just create the text box in the footer itself.
I personally prefer it that the header and footer are not part of the active page when I am typing. This hyperlink is not clickable in Word without going into the header/footer view and I'm fine with that. The QAT workaround is just fine.

Event Handling for tree structure using "CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE"
Hi,
I have created a tree structure using class CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE.
Now I wanted to insert a check and give message when the user opens the last node in my structure.
I checked the events available in the class , but there in none which gets trigered when we try to open a node.
Please guide me with this scenario.
Thanks & Regards,
Omkar M.Hello Omkar
The solution is somewhat odd but apparently works. As sample report please check BCALV_TREE_SIMPLE_DEMO.
Copy this report and make the following changes:

FOR tree1. " CL_GUI_ALV_TREE_SIMPLE
SET HANDLER l_event_receiver->on_expand_no_children

ENDFORM. " register_events
As soon as you open a node in the ALV tree the report will stop at the break-point.
Now you need to check if there are still children nodes to be displayed.
If not then trigger your special coding.

Hello Gurus,
will you please explain the tree item of the tree structure in all level in SE09 ?
Many thanks,
Frank ZhangHi,
The Transport Organizer with Transaction SE09 or SE10. You can also access the request overview of the Transport Organizer from all ABAP Workbench transactions by choosing Environment Transport Organizer (Requests).
The Display function lets you search for all requests that belong to the specified user and match the standard selection criteria set. You can change the standard selection as required.
The status selection for requests is used by default for the task selection. However, you can change this by going to the initial screen and choosing Settings other settings.
Tasks that are not assigned to a request can no longer be created. This means that these tasks are no longer displayed as standard. If you still own tasks of this type, use the request search to display them
Piece lists
You can use this request type to set up your own object lists and save them under a name of your choice.
Piece lists have the following attributes:
u2022You cannot release them this also means that you cannot transport them.
u2022They have an object directory entry and are therefore assigned to a package.
They have the same transport attributes as all objects in this package.
u2022If you have assigned the piece list to a transportable package, then when you make changes to the piece list the entry LIMU COMM <piece list name> is made in your current change request.
u2022After the change request has been imported, the piece list is also in the target system of the request; however, the objects entered in the piece list are not automatically included in the transport.
Delivery Transports
Use the Delivery selection screen to display transports that deliver software changes from SAP or SAP partners to customers.
The selection screen covers the following request types:
u2022Piece list for upgrade
This transport type imports new releases into your SAP System when you upgrade.
u2022Piece list for Support Package
This transport type imports corrections into your SAP System. -

With organization as Top Node,if we click on organization sub inventories in that org will be displayed,
I need to restrict the Sub inventories appearing in the list,in mtl_secondary_inventories table an attribute is defined and i should restrict the sub inventories in the tree with attribute of sub inventories set to value of Yes.
Please guide me on the possibilities
Best Regards,
MahiI had to do something similar for the supply-demand screen.
I believe the screen enters data into a temp table (maybe MTL_ONHAND_QUANTITY_TEMP). Open the form ; find the temp table it uses and then write a before-insert trigger that will change the seq_num being inserted depending on the subinventory.
Hope this helps

How compile an entire tree structure packages in JDev
Hello there
When i use jdev i have the src folder (source files) and the classes folder (compiled files) as Jdev makes them, but the compiled files are not updated correctly.
For eg. i created a batch file that runs the application with this content
echo on
C:
set path=C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_11\bin;%path%
set classpath=
cd C:\jdevstudio10133\jdev\mywork\Supreme\ProjectServer\classes
java project.main.Main
And the application started is an older version of the application that i have now, if i put the first line System.out.println("Message") even if i make and rebuild the project, the message will not appear and i dont know how to get the compiled files.
Also i tried to find out how to compile a tree structure of packages from command line but it seems very difficult. If anyone can give a reference.
Thank you.User,
you left out vital information. Read this post before posting.
what happens if you delete the whole classes folder and rebuild the application? JDev will recreate the folder and you should see all changes then. If not you are not running the right classes.

Updating data using a tree structure?
Hi,
I need to change some hierarchical data and wondered the best way to do it.
Basically I have a menu table which I query as a tree structure:
select menu_name, level, option_text, displayed
from menu_option
start with menu_name = 'CONTROL' and option_number >= 0
connect by prior command_line = menu_name
command line has the next menu in the level, unless its a leaf!
What I want to do is, if a 'parent' has the displayed flag set to N, change all the children underneath to N as well. Whats the neatest way to do this in PL/SQL or SQL statements?
Thanks,
Tracey.How about
update menu_option m1
set displayed = 'N'
where exists
(select 1
from menu_option m2
where m2.displayed = 'N'
start with m2.menu_name = m1.menu_name
connect by prior m2.menu_name = m2.command_line) -
Refresh functionality of a tree structure......
Hi Friends,
In my application i have a Tree structure and when i click on the root node i get the sub-elements under this and when i select an element and execute this element gets deleted/removed.
Now the problem is such that the element is getting deleted in the backend(R/3),but i am able to see the element in the structure still.
When i click on Refresh icon i cannot view the element.
I have tried to used invalidate method, reset method but still the problem remains the same.
Is there any solution to refresh the application manually without clicking on Refresh.
Please help me out to proceed further.
Thanks and regards,
Chandrashekar.go to view properties and set Life span as when_visible.
or each time you need to call the RFC execute method whenever you delete or change tree elements
