Charging I-touch in the Netherlands

We are heading to Amsterdam and a canal cruise through Holland. I'm told the power there is 220 volts. What do I need to buy or use to charge the I-touch in this situation? Thanks.

I don't have the Apple USB adapter (wall charger)...I can only charge my I-touch if it's hooked to a computer. If I buy "The World Travel Adapter Kit" (for $39) will it have "everything" I need throughout the world? The site says it "includes a USB power adapter, a USB cable, and a set of six AC plugs with prongs that fit different electrical outlets around the world." Thanks.

Charge as long as you want. If the battery indicator have a plug image then it's full otherwise you see a lightning image. Apple advices to discharge (use it till it's empty) once a month to prolong battery life.

I took the iPod to the local Apple shop. The guy put the iPod onto a docking station and checked it - answer "connections are OK". I have used the link before but have not gone through all its suggestions (although picked on the most relevant ones). I may have to go back. Thanks again for your suggestions

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

And if I can in fact use just one of the three, then why would I need all three in the US? Also, if one of the three will work on all devices, would the automotive charger work the same, one for all? IPod Touch 4g won't charge and play at the same time

I used to have a 4g Nano that I would play in my car through an aux cable and charge through a cigarette lighter charger. I just got a 4th gen iPod Touch and it no longer lets me charge and play at the same time. If both wires are connected it will only charge and not play, once I pull the charger part out it will play through the speakers. Is there a fix to this? Do I need a different charger so that it won't think it's simply docked?

You would need to turn off hard drive mode via iTunes iPod settings on your home system to do this. I don't know if you have this mode on or off already. I thought I read that there is a way to enable/disable hard drive mode via the iPod buttons but I don't remember how.

Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
