Charging prob

I attempted to charge my MuVo2 player using a uni'versal DC power car charger that plugs into a cigarette lighter. The charger can be set at different voltages. I accidentally charged my player at 2V. It hasn't worked since. Did I fry the whole device, or can I just get a new Lithium ion battery?

HELP IPOD CHARGE PROB!!

Here is what happens: I plug in my ipod the the usb and it says charging on both the ipod and the itunes folder...and when i come back, say 6 hours later, plenty of time for it to fully charge, I disconect the ipod and the battery is still just as low as whenever i put it in!! what is the problem!?!?

Muvo2 FM 5GB Charging Prob

hi, my friend just gave me the above player, i had problem charging the player using USB player,?when i connect it to my pc, it only sync between the pc and player for transferring files but it's not charging at all, how do i go about to charge the batt? do i have wait till EMPTY battery before i can charge it's?please kind advise thanks

Double click on My Computer and then right click on the MuVo2.
Click Eject, but leave the player connected, it should then charge.
Leave it attached until it's full (3 bars).
Careful charging via USB as it must have least one bar of power before you can start to do so.

Zen V Plus - Charging Prob

I've plugged my new Zen V Plus into my USB port, and the battery charging indicator has been flashing as expected. However, 9 hours later the battery indicator is only showing about a quarter charge. Any ideas?Thanks?Stompa?

You're right, I didn't have the driver. If it's not actually charging, then I'm a bit surprised that the battery indicator flashes (implying that it is charging).

40gb Nomad Zen Xtra charging prob

When I've tried to charge it lately the battery icon doesnt appear, a little power cable icon appears instead, after a few moments it goes away and the player turns off, any ideas anyone??

USB Charging prob

i have a 20 GB zen touch, once i upgraded to the plays for sure firmware (2.0.05) when i try to charge via USB the player just turns on at random times and thus stops charging. i dont know where my wall charger is right now so USB power is my only option. does any one know what i can do about this or why this is?

Open up Task Manager.
Click on Processes
Look for the name wdfmgr.exe
Click on that and click on End Process
Click Yes.
Connect the player and turn it off, it should begin to charge. Your player is basically 'invisible' to programs which would normally detect it.
To get programs to detect it then you can restart your computer OR:
Start, run, cmd
Type sc start umwdf
Open up Task Manager and verify that wdfmgr.exe is listed.
Now programs will recognize your player.

Zen Microphoto chargeing prob

I got my wife a zen microphoto mp3 player at the same time i was sold a compatible charger. If I use my computers usb to charge it shows a lighing icon when it is charging and when it is charged you see a Plug telling you its charged.However if i use the charge i was sold at the time you dont get the plug telling you it is chagred. If I buy the zen micro charger does it show a fork telling me its charged fully?

microphoto uses oled screen not lcd. well for some reason oleds are cheap there better than lcd in someways but suck in others. uhh it could be that you got a fualty display id get it replaced or try the sleek photo. same price.

Zen MicroPhoto Charging Prob

I just bought zen micro photo.i'am charging it from my computer and it charges just fine.but when i try to charge it from the wall,it shows the lighting on the battery icon but its light doesnt fade on and fade out and doesnt seem charging.i havent updated firmware.what can be the problem?

Strange Zen V Plus charging prob

After working fine for 2 months, my player suddenly won't take a full charge: after 6 hours it has only enough power to produce a faint amber screen read out and play part of a song. Does this mean the battery is no longer charging? My computer still recognizes the player, and I can add media when it's plugged in.

Help! charging prob

Hi to all,
I just bought an 8gb Zen and have installed the software. I connected the mp3 player through usb to my computer and it was charging for hour or so (I also noticed the green sign indicating battery was full). Then the synchronizing message appeared on my computer and the mp3 turned off. Now I unplugged it and plugged it again but it doesn't go back to charge nor does it appear on the computer.
Any ideas Should I risk turning the mp3 on
I've had a bad experience with partial charging with my previous mp3 (it would only last 3 hours instead of 0) so I wouldn't want to risk it with this one.

Is there a plug symbol (not flashing) within the battery symbol - this indicates that the battery is fully charged?
Since this is a solid state flash MP3 device by turning it on it won't hurt it but not having the proper charge it just won't work.

Ipod and charging probs

Hi I have an 8gb ipod touch and have just purchased a Griffin Amplifi 2.1 sound system speaker to play it through. The Griffin states that it will charge as playing but when the ipod is attached the ipod says charging does not support this accessory. Anyone any ideas why?

Zen Micro Battery Charging Prob

I have a Zen Micro, had less than 2 months, after the battery going completely flat i have suddenly got a problem with charging it.
The player has the latest version of the firmware from creative.
I can plug the mains charger in and the icon in the corner flashes to say that it is charging, i have left this to do it overnight.
I come to use the player the next day and the battery indicator shows it has only got one bar on the battery icon.
After 2 hours of use the low battery warning comes on and it will not let me do anything at all until i charge it again.
I can use the player while it is charging, but if i remove the battery and have the charger plugged in i cannot use the player.

i had this same promblem. basically when i installed the software something went wrong and my pc wasnt reconizing the micro. so just reistall everything and try that. went its charging it should have the icon in upper right hand corner and also say DOCKED.

N97 multiple issues.

I figured on starting a new N97 problems thread. I received my phone in the mail yesterday. Two days have gone by and I’ve had so many problems that it’s hard to keep track of them all. I guess I should tell you first what I’m working with here.
Model: N97, Type: RM-505, Software version: v 22.0.11.0
When I got the phone out of the box I noticed Ovi was malfunctioning with a “Script initialization failed” error. First thing I tried was to uninstall Ovi from the application manager. That failed with a “file corrupt” error.
Next I tried to hook up to my computer via Bluetooth. That is partially working however I continue to get an error “Support software installation failed” when trying to install the Ovi support software to the phone.
Then when I hook up to USB windows gives the error “USB device has malfunctioned”
Finally when I connect the USB cable it doesn’t matter what mode it’s in, Mass Storage, PC Suite, Multimedia, or Image transfer, I am never prompted to select a mode, even though the “Ask on connect” is marked as YES.
Oh, also the phone never charges via PC USB. Must be wall charger.
The problems that I have had seem very common among N97 owners. Let me tell you what I’ve tried so far:
1, uninstall, reboot PCSuite cleaner, reboot, reinstall.
2, soft reset *#7780# and hard reset #*7370#
3, different ports and different computers
4, *#0000# and update, tells me I’m current
5, different USB cable (ca-101 from my n81)
6, connecting the phone to pc in offline mode, and powered off
So far I’ve read the following articles and have found no value in them.

All right folks. I figured it out for myself. You can close and lock this thread.
Applications -> office -> file browser.
If the E drive is unformatted...there’s your problem.
Options -> format mass memory.
Huzzah. 30GB of internal memory spawned outta nowhere.
Its nice to know the brand new out of box N97 is shipped with corrupt or unformatted memory. Be sure the first thing you do when you break it out of the box is to format that lovely 30gb internal memory so that you can finally load a map or two.

So you are saying that you followed all of the steps in the support document for problems with connection, including removing and reinstalling iTunes? You do not say what you have tried, so it is hard to make recommendations. If this is the case, then you have tried resolving driver issues? What if you go to Device Manager and look for the iPhone. You should be able to click on it and see about drivers. You can update/reinstall the device driver.
