Chart2D is a library written in Java for adding 2D charts to Java programs (or for exporting them to images). It can draw the following charts: pie, line, vertical bar, horizontal bar, scatter-plot, and charts with any combination of lines, bars, and dots.
Chart2D excels at offering sizing options: magnification (on/off), stretching (on/off), supports both automatic and custom sizing.
Chart2D is a JComponent, so adding charts to your programs is almost as easy as adding JButtons to them. Configure the chart, add it to a layout manager..., and forget about it.
Chart2D charts can be exported to java.awt.BufferedImage images which are sub-classes of java.awt.Image images. There's no need to first display the chart. Configure the chart and then get the image.

Finally Adobe Releases Free Web Fonts!

Since Adobe didn't allow free use of Adobe fonts that come with CS embedded in your web site HTML code, I've been using Google web fonts in all my websites ( http://www.google.com/webfonts/ ).
Looked like Google would take away all of Adobe's history of being the leader in providing fonts...
But finally Adobe is responding by releasing free open source web fonts for use. The first one was just released, Source Sans Pro.
Adobe has generously added it to Google Web Fonts so just search "Source Sans Pro" on the link above to use the font on your websites.

Adobe has produced a number of nice fonts over the years but they certanly not been the lead, at least for a very long time.
Thanks for the info though, google fonts are not the only source and as many probably know you have typekit a lot of people use and @font-face is awesome of course.

u can give try to using external enclosre and backup ur files. I hope u will get files back. or using external enclosre with ur hdd boot into Linux and try to mount ur harddisk.

Compressing/Releasing Free space in database.

Hi,
I need to copy the database version 8.1.7.4 on solaris 9 to other box running solaris 10 for upgrading to 10gR2. The size of datafiles (all datafiles has data) is about 600 GB where as the database size is about 270 GB. The traget box has storage capacity is only 450 GB. What all the options and best practices available to implement this plan. Down time is also an issue. Both servers are also not at same geo location.
Please provide me your expert opinion.

Where does or really how was the 270GB size calculated? The new server having on 450GB may be an issue depending on how this size was calculated, the amount of undo, temp, and sysaux (overhead) necessary to support the application and a few other factors such as how is the database backup being handled and how static is the application data.
One thing that can help reduce the amount of data to be exported and re-imported is to run any needed purge processes prior to the unload.
Table and index compression might be options however each feature has its downside/limitations.
If ASSM is not in use now and you are not planning on using it in the new database then check the pctused value on your tables and if set near the default of only 40% alter the value prior to the export to use a larger value. I recommend you use at least 60% and I like to use 95 - pctfree as my pctused default. ASSM will handle this for you but the feature will probably not be as aggressive in reusing table blocks as you could be via manual managment. However, remember you can only set ASSM on at tablespace creation.

Claiming of free space in data files

I have a problem for claiming the free space in few data files .There is the data in the files at fragmented places i.e. the free space is below the high water mark.DB is production db and Export/Import is not possible due to time consideration. How to get back that space. Please reply soon.....

Dolly, the term HWM in Oracle is normally only used to describe the last used block in a table allocation. There is no way to reclaim unused blocks below the HWM in a table without reorganizing the table though Oracle will resuse the space for new rows if the pct_used threshold allows (or ASSM) allows it do so.
You can sometimes release free (unused) blocks above the HWM of a table using the alter table shrink option.
You can perform a similar function on extendable datafiles between the last allocated object extent and the end of file.
As Justin said, you need to explain your situation better.

We are using Tcode FV60 for Park Vendor invoice
We are trying to post the Document thru Tcode FBV0 , But the Post field is grey and system shows error: func not possible as document is in not released. The Workflow is not getting triggered. And hence its not possible to release the doc.
The workflows have been activcated
We have done Eventlinkage and activated it.

In future when you post question please do some formatting. It seems like a novel.
Have you checked in SWEL whether the event CREATED of Business Object BSEG getting triggered. I hope you have activated the linkage between event and workflow from PFTC or SWE2 transaction code.

OWB free version 10.2

Dear -
I am presently evaluating OWB V 10 R2 for a fitment for data transformation (I know we have more recent releases available) and was wondering where can I find information about the free release. I tried to search the forum as well and was not able to get any relevant information.
What I am looking for is: -
1. What are drawbacks/limitations of using a free version as compared to a licensed copy?
2. Where can I find more information about the internal job execution mechanism by Oracle Workflow Manager (used to execute OWB job in my current scenario)?
3. What benefits I can have if I procure licenses for OWB?
4. Is there a possibility, as I heard, that jobs stay most of time in waiting state with the free release, due to limitations on number of process which can execute at any moment of time?
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi,
there are no diferent OWB releases - "free" and "licensed". Instead there is a single OWB release but to legally use several features (like SCD type 2/3, pluggable mapping, variables in processflows, configurations, etc.) you must buy ODI Enterprise Edition license.
With most Oracle database (except free Oracle XE) you get free of charge OWB Basic ETL (correspondes to OWB10gR1 features set).

Free resources

The VXML is not freedom inmediately after the call finish. It have long time for free the resource. So the 100 licences are overload and we have a promt record by default on UCCE that say on english (our promts are on spanish) "Please hold on".
I think we forget to include something on scripts for release (free) the resource once the call is routed to the Agent.

Can't download U2 album (this computer is already associated with an Apple ID)

Title pretty much sums it up. I can see the recently released, free-of-charge U2 album in my purchases, but when I click on the cloud icon I get the message that "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID" which is not at all revealing of just what the problem is. Then there's this bit below:
"You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 2 days."
What the heck does THAT mean?

Ok. So if you didn't know, there are some sites that allow you to download music for free legally. For example many industry artists release "free albums" or "mixtapes" just for their fan base. They are uploaded by the actual artists themselves and downloaded by millions of fans. However when I choose to play one on my iPhone 5c, all of them get deleted except for the iTunes purchased songs. This has never happened before and I would like to know why it is happening now, and how to fix it.

It may be that your iPhone's set to sync automatically, which can potentially remove any music that's been added to the device. It may help to set the device to 'manual mode,' so that you have complete and total control over what content is on the device.

I have acrobat pro 11 and windows 8.1
have tried every help article on the internet I can find and still nothing...am probably going to have to get used to another browser, this issue has taken hours and hours and still cannot get it to work

How to Decrease fragmentation level of a table.

Hello Everyone,
There is a table present in my production database.
Its version is Oracle 10G(10.2.0.1.0)
i)Its size is 26 GB with fragmentation level.
ii)It has more then 48 crores of rows.
iii)Its size is 20 GB without fragmentation level.(So 6 GB of unused space is wasted).
Following are my doubts regarding the above points.
i) How to decrease the fragmentation level of the table.
ii) if there is any way to decrease the fragmentation level,how much time it will take to perform the particular activity so as to decrease the fragmentation level.

Definition of Fragmentation :-
When rows are not stored contiguously, or if rows are split onto more than one block, performance decreases because these rows require additional block accesses.
When a lot of DML operations are applied on a table, the table will become fragmented because DML does not release free space from the table below the HWM.
Definition of High Water Mark(HWM):-
HWM is an indicator of USED BLOCKS in the database. Blocks below the high water mark (used blocks) have at least once contained data. This data might have been deleted. Since Oracle knows that blocks beyond the high water mark don't have data, it only reads blocks up to the high water mark when doing a full table scan.
Please go through the below example if you have any doubts.
EXAMPLE:-
How to find table fragmentation?
SQL> select count(*) from big1;
1000000 rows selected.
SQL> delete from big1 where rownum <= 300000;
300000 rows deleted.
SQL> commit;
Commit complete.
SQL> update big1 set object_id = 0 where rownum <=350000;
342226 rows updated.
SQL> commit;
Commit complete.
SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats('SCOTT','BIG1');
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Now lets determine the size of table
TABLE SIZE(with fragmentation)
SQL> select table_name,round((blocks*8),2)||'kb' "size"
2 from user_tables
3 where table_name = 'BIG1';
TABLE_NAME size
BIG1 72952kb
ACTUAL DATA in table:
SQL> select table_name,round((num_rows*avg_row_len/1024),2)||'kb' "size"
2 from user_tables
3 where table_name = 'BIG1';
TABLE_NAME size
BIG1 30604.2kb
Note = 72952 - 30604 = 42348 Kb is wasted space in table

Material blocked in quality

I'm still having problems with material quality. This product comes from a return, but the product in question is not configured on Quality Management records the tab. What happens when you run it appears to MMBE in quality control but do not know how to release free to leave use. It is through QA32? if it does not appear to perform the procedures.
We use SAP to less than 4 months

Please try this:
1. Extend the QM view for the material in MM50.
2. Include the inspection type 0800 and save.
3. Run QA08, choose tab "activate inspection type"
4. Tick 'assign inspection type" and "activate despite insp. stock", give inspection type 0800, plant, material number, etc. Execute. You should get the message that the material has been processed.
5. Now go to QA32, you will find inspection lot generated. Now you can continue.
