Check box in table control

Hi,
Is it possible to trigger an event by checking the check box in a table control ,
so that i can use it to activate/ inactivate any field in the same table control ?

with check box alone you cannot trigger an event. You need to use a button also. All you can do is to trigger one event when the check box is checked and another event when the check box is not triggered.

Another way:
Go to the edit mode of the screen select the table control column you want to make it as check box and follow the menu EDIT->CONVERT->check box.
(make sure that column definition in itab/ddtab is of size 1 char)

Use of initial values check box in tables

what is of use of initial values check box(after the primary key check box) in tables.

The flag indicates whether field inserted in the database is to be filled with initial values. The initial value used depends on the data type of the field. I.e. type n(2) is '00'.
When you create a table, all fields of the table can be defined as NOT NULL and filled with an initial value. The same applies when converting the table. Only when new fields are added or inserted, are these filled with initial values. An exception is key fields. These are always filled automatically with initial values.

Problem when creating list box in table control

Hi every body ,
 I am placing a list box in table control , the list box is coming perfectly but
when I am scrolling or pressing enter the data in that field is clearing.
 if I remove the list box , and i enter the data directly and scrolling or press enter
the data is not clearing.
But only for list box only it is be having like that
what is the problem?

To implement general checks in SRM,you can use BADI "BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI".But the messages will not come in form of POP UPS.To display messages in the form of Pop up ,you need to implement both the BADI's BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI and BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI.

Urgent Help Required for Check Box in Table Column

Hi all,
Could any body help me to solve my problem?
First of all I have created a table whose one column is check box. The column of the tables are Name,Phone,ID,Address and a checkBox columns.In one view
the table will be found with data. I want to click on some of the rows(suppose there are 5 rows, but based on some condition I have selected the check box of 3 rows).
Next there will be a button(Supose SEND Button).
After selecting the check box I want to press that button and then a new window will come which will show two tables. one for selected rows(with the same columns name except check box) and another for Unchecked rows with the same column name(Name,Phone,ID,Address).
Could any body help me by sending the details and code?

Hi Sudip,
1) create custom controller and appropriate context structure there (dataNode(Name,Phone,ID,Address,Check))
2) create view StartView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create table and bind context node attributes to appropriate table columns.
3) create view ResultView. Map data node from custom controller to node in view. Create 2 nodes (CheckedData, UncheckedData) with supply methods. Create filtering implementation in supply methods (add checked and unchecked node elements to appropriate nodes).
4) create new window with resultView as default view
4) in startView in button action handler put something like
     IWDWindowInfo _windowInfo = wdComponentAPI.getComponentInfo().findInWindows("Popup");
     IWDWindowManager manager = wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager();
     IWDWindow _window = manager.createWindow(_windowInfo, true);
     _window.open();
So, just tried localy and it works.

Check Box in Tree Control

I found that the oracle installation is using tree control with check box. I tried to use the same feature in my application. But I found that the tree control in swing and infoswing is not having the feature to add checkbox in the tree control. If anybody knows how to add checkbox in the tree control using the jdeveloper please help me.

List box for table control

Hi,
I need a list box for an input field in table control.
In brief. I have 5 fields in table control out of which i have to enter values manually for 1 field and for 1 field i need a list box or drop down and then when i press enter the remaining fields should be populated.
i got the code working but now they need the drop down list for the second input field.
If anybody could provide with the code it would be real helpful and iwas confused whether i need to write code in pov or some where else.
the field for which i need list box is taken from dictionary .
any help would be geatly appreciated.

Question Related to Check-box in Dialog Program

Hi All-
I desgined check box in Table Control... In my Internal table I have 41 records, When user click on Select all button it selects only first 14 records from the table control...When the user uses page-down, then click on Select all, selects remaining 14 records and so on...
But how to select all the records at a time instead of using page-down...
Please advice me how to solve my problem!!!!

I would not suggest doing it like that. Instead move the MODULE USER_COMMAND outside of that loop.

Check box in a table not being read on auto read by JAWS(Screen Reader)

Hi Experts,
I am working on Accessible pages in ADF. Check box in table is not being read on "Auto Read" function by jaws. Auto read is a function that allows the user to start the screen reader at the top of the page and read the entire thing that is provided by JAWS. I have even specified label property for af:selectBooleanCheckbox. Can anyone help me regarding this issue.
