have you tried connecting with the finder itself?
Cmd+k and then type: ftp://login:password@ftp:port
Also make sure all the files from earlier apps you tested are gone. (use spotlight to find 'transmit' and remove folder files (.plist etc) you might find)
have you tried turning of your firewall? (just for testing purposes)

After the last update, the default email app is not working as expected. It can send email but when it checks email, it never downloads any new messages. The last updated display at the top of the screen shows that the last successful update was on 5/3 just before the update took place. I will probably just download an email app and can this one but thought I would ask in case there is an easy fix.
On my S4, a little message "Master sync turned off" blinks at the bottom of the email app when I tried to manually sync.
On another thread, I discovered that you have to go into the settings toggle screen (swipe down from the top, hit the little four-square icon in the upper-right) and find "Sync". That has to be turned back on. For whatever reason, it was off on my phone after NC5 installed, and the email program needs it to be on. Was it always there? I don't know.
There is a separate sync setting that you can change inside the email app for each account... but they all cease functioning if the "Sync" is off. So make sure the main "Sync" is on, and maybe that will restore your email function. Good luck! -

after downloading Mountain Lion, I can no longer print! My MAC see's the printer, even nozzle check works, but cant print anything!!

Why won't my iMac print consistantly to my compatible HP 6500A? I've checked for updates and downloaded the lasted software...still can't print. All my other Mac devices find the printer but the iMac is hit and miss. I'm operating the Mac OS X Lion 10.7.
When you say hit and miss do you mean sometimes you print a whole document with no problems, or do you mean each document has problems? This is from HP's website for your printer:
Your sig says 10.6.7 but your message says 10.7. So if it's really Lion, this printer isn't officially supported. Elsewhere on HP's site it says updated drivers will be available on your Mac via Software Update. Have you run that recently? -
Old checks cleared in the bank but still negotiable in AP

In other words, these checks cleared in the bank (years ago) but AP system didn't know they were cleared (these checks are still negotiable per AP) . Note 1484182.1, Latest: Clear, Unclear, Reconcile, Unreconcile, provides a good overview of the steps to clear a transaction. You can manually clear the transactions. Manually clearing the checks will trigger journal entries. You do not have to post them. You can delete them in GL. You will need to know this for reconciliation between AP and GL that these payment clearing events were not posted.
1) Stop all users from generating accounting.
2) Run the Payables Accounting Process to generate accounting before starting to clear checks.
3) Manually clear the old checks.
4) Run the Payables Accounting Process. You can limit this to Payment events. Go ahead and run the Transfer to GL, but do not submit the Post Journal Import process (set the parameter to "No").
5) This should isolate the transactions.

As far as the prices, the difference is likely the laptop version is the SD version and the iPad one is available in HD. That's the only reason you'll see a price difference. It has nothing to do with the device with movies/movie rentals. Apps yes, these no. -

I am a part of Automation testing and I am downloading and installing the files programmatically with Selenium and Applescript on Mac. Is their any way to check the location of download folder on browsers programmatically?? if so pls suggest and also ways to change the location of download folder in Java or Applescript.
You will need to read and write to preference files. A job best suited for the shell with either command line tool, defaults or PlistBuddy. Each application preference file has its own structure. Reading Safari's preference file is easy.
defaults read $HOME/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari DownloadsPath
Firefox isn't as clear but this should give you the download path.
defaults read $HOME/Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox NSNavLastRootDirectory
Firefox also keeps a sqlite database of downloads which may be useful to query. Command line tools can be wrapped in Applescript. Also, programmatically changing preference files on an open application is discouraged. -
Email messages won't download on Mac Pro but do download on iPhone.

I had to call Apple Support for resolution. I'm not entirely clear on the origin of the problem but it seems that the server name(s) for Apple Mail were changed by Yahoo. It took a considerable time to correct but a senior advisor at Apple pulled it through.

I rented a movie on my iPad. It began to download but then it disappeared. I freed up a ton of storage space to make sure I had the room for it. The movie appears in my rented videos, but when I click it, it says, "video rented but not downloaded. Go to downloads to manage downloads". Where did my downloads go? I re-booted my iPad, signed off/on iTunes etc. I can't find a folder with downloadable items anywhere. ITunes just tells me, "you've already rented this video. Do you want to rent it again?" What happened to my movie?

I am trying to download the iTunes installer for Windows 7 64 bit.
I have "Always ask me where to save files" checked in Firefox's download options.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1) In the iTunes download page I click the "Download now" link and Firefox shows me a "Opening iTunes64Setup.exe" dialog with a "Save File" button.
2) I click the "Save File" button. Sometimes the dialog disappears but nothing else happens. Other times I get the Windows 7 "Save as" dialog.
3) I click the "Save" button in the save file dialog (I'm using the default user documents folder). The dialog disappears and nothing happens.
If I uncheck "Always ask me where to save files" then the download works fine.
I also have a Windows XP 32 bit with the same configuration where everything works fine which makes me think that this problem only happens in Windows 7 or in the 64 bit version.It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is otherwise interfering with downloading files.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Distributed HR/PY and Check Clearing

Changing our landscape from a single integrated system to a distributed HR/PY and FICO environment (I.e. 2 different instances). In the distributed architecture I understand the Payroll Check (tcode RFFOUS_C) print program still runs in the HR/PY instance and the check register is also updated in the HR/PY instance. However, the GL posting that include open item managed bank clearing account(s) for payroll checks is updated only in the FICO instance (via ALE) by the Posting to accounting process.
Can anyone tell me how and where the EBS should be run to clear the payroll checks and the GL payroll check clearing open item account? Again, the payroll checks will be in the check register in the HR/PY system but the GL payroll check clearing open item account will be in FICO instance.
Anyone out there have experience with this scenario?

If you have not worked hands-on with the distributed HR/PY and FICO architecture I do not think you understand the issue.
In the distributed HR/PY architecture the payroll checks are created in the HR/PY instance. The creation of the GL entry for the payroll check bank clearing account is created by an entirely separate process - the PY GL Posting run and the distributed model posts the GL to the FICO instance. Therefore, the check register is in the HR/PY instance and GL payroll check bank clearing account in in FICO. -

I noticed that the program SAPLNEW_FEBA doesn't generate additional information when there's errors in check clearing. Before, it used to provide info like " check already cashed" or "check marked as cashed", etc. Now I am testing and get the red X but there's no additional information.

We have changed the length of the check number by adding the leading zeros in the check number in the relevant range by using transaction FCHI (maintain check lot). For this you have to delete the check number in the 'number status' column first, this will then allow to delete the number range. Please delete first all the existing number ranges for the check. Then recreate the new lots with the new check number range which will have 10 digit check number by adding leading zeros to the 5 digit check number range used by you before. But if you are printing check in-house, SAP script guy has to make sure that the MICR line is lengthy enough to capture the 10 digit check number.
Other approach will be to develop a file pre-processing program which will delete the leading zeros from the BAI file after the upload and before the posting which will hit table(FEBEP) while using EBS upload transaction (FF_5).
