Check In without check in form - Error!

Hi,
I create a link that when I click on it submit the metadata that I put in the url path .. but the primaryFile is giving an error ..
I made this:
...... //myserver90/idc/idcplg?IdcService=CHECKIN_NEW&dDocType=CT&dDocTitle=CheckinWithoutForm&dDocAuthor=sysadmin&dSecurityGroup=Email&primaryFile:path=C:/Documents and Settings/Administrator/Desktop/WorkFlow.txt .....
How can I pass the primaryFile correctly?
Can anybody help me?

For one thing, you cannot check in client side files to the server by "setting" the primary file path in an html page (which I understand is not what you're doing), as that would be a security risk.
If you put it in the url like that it will attempt to check it in from that location SERVER SIDE, and think you use primaryFile, not primaryFile:path (but haven't tried this in a while). Why doesn't it check it in from clientside? Well, you'd need to attach the file to the post, etc., and get into all that icky HTTP stuff. Just putting it in the url simply won't get it done. :(

It is not possible to accomplish this with the Muse's Form Widgets. You may need to look for other online solutions and fetch the source code and add to the Muse page using the Insert HTML feature.

NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Errors on Lenovo T500 2082-58M running Windows XP.

NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Errors are occurring on
five out of five Lenovo T500 laptops 2082-58M tested.
I can get the error to re-occur consistently by installing
IBM Director Client version 5.20 or 5.23, taking remote control and then within
the remote session I initiate a PC restart. This re-produces these errors
without fail.
I've also received this same error without Director but am
unable to cause this to re-occur consistently.
My Findings:
Changing the BIOS Settings from the default settings of :
BIOS Config > Display
Default Primary Video Device:[Internal]
Boot Display Device:[ThinPad LCD]
Graphics Device:[Discrete Graphics]
OS Detection for Switchable Graphics:[Enabled]
To the following settings resolves the issue though this
causes the installed and previously working ATI driver not to detect the video
device.
BIOS Config > Display
Default Primary Video Device:[Internal]
Boot Display Device:[ThinPad LCD]
Graphics Device:[Integrated Graphics]
OS Detection for Switchable Graphics:[Disabled]
What I have tried:
o Updated the BIOS and Drivers to Latest available
o Re-Installed the Display Driver, Downgraded the
Display Driver
o Removed the Display Driver and left BIOS
settings enabled (NMI errors re-occur)
To get to the above findings I tried removing /
re-installing pretty much every driver and disabling every option within the
BIOS. I am only listing what I believe is now relevant to the identified
problem. I can provide further information upon request.
Anyone able to help ?

Hello,
the switchable gfx doesn´t work in XP. In XP you have to choose gfx options in bios before booting os.
Please try:
Default Primary Video Device:[Internal]
Boot Display Device:[ThinPad LCD]
Graphics Device:[discrete Graphics]
OS Detection for Switchable Graphics:[Disabled]

I'm unable to clear my search history after many attempts with the firefox instructions as I'm unable to check the "Form and Search History" box for some reason

I've tried several times to clear my search history without any success. I've been able to do so in the past, but this is the first time I've tried in a while and for some reason it will not let me check the box for "Form and Search History." Then sometimes it will let me check that box, but when I click "ok" to apply the clearing of the search history, nothing happens and it still remembers all my sites. At that point I try to clear it again and its back to not letting me check the "Form and Search history" box (I've gone through this cycle a few times). I tried looking through some of suggested articles that Firefox sent me too, but I don't know much about computers and just doing the things they seem talking about isn't working either. Please help, thanks!

For Checking the SQL error you can trap the error number and error message and log into any table by following way

If any one can guide me that how to implement spell checker in forms to avoid data entry errors.

The only way that I can see it may work, is by COM/ACTIVE X technology, I mean pass the string as arguement from Forms to the Microsoft WORD (through DDE), run a MACRO (if exists) to check the spelling and return the SUCCESS or FAILURE status back to FORMS.
I hope this gives some Ideas.

Many times I tried to simply update from 10.5.8 without any success. It starts and after few minutes ...
I used many different install disks (I bought ofiicial release from Mac seller), so I think this is not a problem with wrong version or bad install disk. A few days ago I've got back my computer from Apple technical support and technician told me he had this same problem with system installation

Checking for form posting

what is the best way to check if a form was submitted?
I use to put a hidden field within the form with value="1", then a cfparam with default="". If form value neq "" then [process form].

It's a big question: user experience design.
If you do something like this:
<cfparam name="form.userAge" type="integer">
Then your user will just get an exception if they enter "41yrs old" for their age (bad example, but you get it). Giving your users an error message is not good user experience design. What you should be doing is validating the data, then - if there's a failure - put the user back to the form, highlight what they've done wrong, give them a hint as to what is correct, and let them try again.
So that's something to think about.
However I think you're coming from the POV of just ensuring your server-side code will work as expected. To acheive that, you need to do stuff like checking the form field exists; checking it is the correct data type; checking it is within valid bounds, etc. Don't look for shortcuts do achieve this: write as much code as is necessary to achieve the job. Bear in mind that code gets executed orders-of-magnitude more often than it gets written, so aim to optimise for the consumer, not for yourself ;-)

Goto SE71, give the form name and in display mode.
Click on Page Windows. Usually we name all page windows as per the content so look if there is any window with name LOGO.
If not, then see the parameters - Left margin and Upper Margin.
If logo is printed in top left corner of page, left margin should be defined as 0.5 CM or so and Top margin should be defined as 0.5CM or so.
You can use menu Utilities --> Page Layout for more details. This shows the place for the selected window on the page.

the RFC was fine in SE37 and calling by Visual Basic. and in java,when mConnection.setAbapDebug(true), and runing by step and step, was fine too.
if mConnection.setAbapDebug(false) in JAVA, up error in title was displayed.
what cause this error?

Please use Su53 after getting the error and find any authorization is missing for the user..
S_GUI Full Authorization is required..
Since by giving BASIS Authorization its rectificed, then it shud be mostly due to Auth issues only

Well, I can tell you that this kind of error is not OS related, but rather a HW thing. It happens where there is a general detection of something going wrong. Sometimes it can happen randomly and might not be an indication of a problem. But sometimes it can be caused by things that are improperly functioning within the system like bad capacitors.
Unfortunately I don't really know what to do about such things except give you machine a proper inspection. But if things are working fine, and continue to do so, I wouldn't worry about it. If it becomes a regular occurance, then I'd worry.

How to ristrict 10 line items in Check Printing Form F110_PRENUM_CHCK

I have requirement in Check Printing form F110_PRENUM_CHCK. I have to print only 10 invoices (line items) for the corresponding Document number. If there are more than 10 invoices (line items), 11th invoice onwards should print in another printer in plain papaer. But upto 10th invoice should print in actual Check form.
How can we handle 10 no of invoices restriction in actual Check Form ? If more than 10, 11th invoice should print in plain paper.
I copied F110_PRENUM_CHCK into Zform.
Pls suggest me.

I assigned in custumization, Still I am not able to display when we have morethan 10 line items. If we have 20 line items, It should display 10 line items in Actual check form and 11th line item onwards should print in another plain paper or 1st line to 20th line in another form.

Select Button beside custom metadata field on Check In Form

In Oracle Content Server 10gR3, is there a way to add a "Select" button to User Alias Applet for a new Meta data field on New Check In Form? I tried creating a component but I don't see a select button being shown up. The button does shows up if it's a standard metadata fields but not for the custom one. Here is the component code. Any idea what I am doing wrong and how to fix it.

You'll need a component. You already mentioned you had a custom metadata field. You will also need to add a counter to the counters table for your component. During a check in you will need to fetch the next value from the counters table, increment the counter and store the new number back in the table. The year portion of the id is easy, get the current year and grab the last two characters. Then, put this all togther to get the data for your metadata field.
The big question now is where in the check in process will you do all this? You will need something called filters probably. Maybe addFiles, maybe validateStandard, there are several that this could work with.

Have you looked in the IMG menu path: Financial Accounting > Financial Accounting Global Settings > Withholding Tax > (either Withholding Tax or Extended Withholding Tax) > Generic Withholding Tax Reporting > Define Output Groups.
View the output group used in the S_P00_07000134 selection screen. In the Printouts section, Printout 1 and Printout 2 have smart forms identified, either Smart Form or PDF form types.
