Check value from Backend and update SC

Hi,
I am using SRM 5.0 and I have an requirement where I need to check value of SC or PO with backend system and accordingly update one custom field in SC/PO .
Can anybody let me know exact place to perform this coding ?.

To update SC/PO at transaction time, you should use BADI "BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI" (Vadim is right). Indeed this BADI is called very often. It is recommended to filter your code using table sy if you are executing complex coding or remote call. You can use sy-ucomm, sy-tcode...
Try to identify the right moment to call your remote function and check sy table in debugging.

If your installer is requiring some process it invokes to return a particular value on failure, then the installer is seriously broken. There are a bazillion commands your installer could invoke, and any of them could fail, which in turn could invalidate the entire install process, and any of them could return any value on failure. The only value that's consistent (in my experience) is that zero means success and non-zero means failure, with specific non-zero values being different in different programs.
About the only control you have over the JVM's exit code is that if your main method completes without throwing an exception, the JVM will have an exit code of 0, and if main throws an exception (either explicitly or by not catching one thrown from below), it will be non-zero. I'm not even sure if that's guaranteed, but I would guess that's the case.
EDIT: I'm kind of full of crap here. If you're writing the Java code, you can call System.exit(whatever). But nonetheless, if your installer requires certain exit codes from any app--java or otherwise--you have a problem.

Values from event and from bindings are not same in valueChangeListener

Hi, in a valueChangeListener method of an af:selectOneChoice component I get
the new value from the event with:
valueChangeEvent.getNewValue()
and from bindings with:
JsfUtils.getExpressionValue("#{bindings.Parflag.inputValue}")
But the value from bindings is the previous value set in UI.
Why is this happening? In ADF Page lifecycle manual it is referenced that “update model values” face runs before “invoke application” so why the value in bindings is the previous value?

Validation Process and not an Application Action that commits business changes.
I mean if I need a validator I can put an f:validator to the component and that’s all.
The immediate attribute didn’t change the result, the method is run before bindings set.

Inserting sequence value from JDBC and getting the same value back

Hi: Gurus I have a table whose primary key is a sequence. I wonder how to make sure I get the same sequence value back for current transaction so I update the other table whose foreign key is the sequence value from first table.
E.g lets say I do this
String query_insert = INSERT INTO table1 (column1, ....) VALUES (HIGHLIGHT_ID_SEQ.nextval, ...);

How I make sure no other transaction update the sequence value so I can read the last inserted sequence value and update the second table with this value

Dynamically get the Max value from table and insert max value + 1 in Target

Hi All, I have a requirement given below, need help in building a solution for this: A mapping that will get the dynamically get the max value(Basically a number) from table , this target table is used by many other concurrent jobs and updated very frequently. My requirement is to get max value from this target table dynamically (Using dynamic look up) and then have an expression to increment by 1 and then load it to Target.I tried using SELCT max(col1) from target in dynamic look up override but this does not seem to work.Any work around here? Reading Values from Listbox and data source into MS Office Toolkit

Hi,
Been trying to get this to work but making no progress and my lack of experience on labview is becoming a hinderence.
Does anyone know how I can read the values from the listbox example attached into MS Office Toolkit for Excel?
The values from the listbox need to be compared to mulitple values from a strain data source.

I am trying to make a login screen to connect to an oracle database. Im pretty new to creaing GUI. I need help with reading the values from the JTextField and to be able to use them for my connection. So do I need to apply a listener? How do I go about doing that in this project. the reason why you can't get the text is because you are reading the value before some actually inserts anything in any fields.
Here is what you need to do:
Create a JDialog/JFrame. Create a JPanel and set that panel as contentPane (dialog.setContentPane(panel)). Insert all the components, ie JLabels and JTextFields. Add two buttons, Login and Cancel to the panel as well. Now get the username and password field values using getText() inside the ActionListener of the Login.

Reference value from Opportunity and put into Product Revenue

The processes:
1. Create an Opportunity and set various dates including Quote Date, Quote Expiration and Requested Delivery
2. Add product Revenue to the Opportunity
3.. For each product, have the Quote Date, Quote Expiration date, and Requested Delivery date be defaulted in from the header (opportunity)
4. Change the values if necessary
The question is, how do I get the date values from the Opportunity record using the expression builder?

I think you want to do a nested loop within each Item in the data provider, to pull out each child's (series1, series2, etc). "label" attribute.

Reading data from ODS and update current layout?

Hi,
when i execute a planning folder, list of materials are displayed into the current layout.
Now, for each material, I need to bring quantity into the current layout which is (quantity) in an ODS. Initially, Quantity is blank in the infocube. Now, i need to populate Quantity field from ODS into the current layout.
Infocube Quantity field & ODS Quantity field are different but of the same type.
I'm wondering if it can be done using a user exit. Can we read ODS data from a function module and send it back to the current layout?

Read byteArray(binary) from backend and display as pdf in flex titleWindow

i have requirement where the pdf come as byteArray from backend, which i need to read from flex app and diaplay as pdf in the flex titleWindow or any flex popup.
any ideas on this....,

Can I just pass the pdf_fsize imported from CONVERT_OTF which is of type i.

I have an Epson R280 printer and after an update notice from Apple, and updating, now it won't print from Photoshop accurately. Any suggestions?

Epson tech support made me print from iPhoto and it came out "better". But when printing opened in Photoshop, the skin looks brassy and weird. I have "Photoshop mmanages colors" checked. The thing used to print perfectly... What's up with this? I'm on OS 10.6.8. Driver is set right.

Have you used the Epson Printer Utility to clean the inkjet nozzles on your printer and then printed a nozzle check?
I've had good luck with the printer managing colors with either Epson Standard or Epson Vivid.
