Checkbox event in one mxml calling function in another mxml

If you have multiple mxml files to break out the components,
how can you have an event on the main application (like a checkbox)
activate a function in the scripting on another?

Now I have found the method how to use external library. If we want to outsource some of xsjs functions to an external library, XSEngine provides a special format for this, called “.xsjslib”. Then in xsjslib file, we define functions need to be outsourced.
In .xsjs file, we can import a library using the following code:
$.import("<Package_Library_was_deployed>","xsjslib File Name");
The Package_Library_was_deployed please refer to:

Calling function in another button?

I have 2 Movie Clips which create a menu system. When you
hover the mouse over the 2nd button (will be adding more as soon as
I figure this road block out) it drops down a menu.
[Home][Forums]
In the movie clip of "Forums", I created 2 labels. 1 is for
"collapsed" and 1 is for "expanded". Expanded shows the dropped
down menu.
I created a hidden button in the "Expanded" display (sits
under the buttons of the menu) so if you mouse over it, it will
collapse the menu.
However, because the 2 top movie clips are right next to each
other the hidden button never gets triggered because the [Home]
movie clip sits on top.
I figured the easiest way would be to simply call the
"collapsed" label in the movie clip for "Forums", although I don't
know if this is possible or how to achieve it.
The following is what I attempted to use in the ActionScript
section of the movie clip for [Home]:

It looks like the ApprovalManager object did not initiate properly. Are you sure your XREF record is instantiated as &loadRecord?

HelloWorld Client on one machine calling EJB on another

I got a very simple HelloWorld example working on my own machine using JBoss 3.0. The usual first example. I now want to be able to execute a client on my machine that connects to EJBs on a Linux machine that also runs JBoss 3.0.
I have my two jar files HelloClient.jar with my client classes and interfaces. My HelloJAR.jar with my DD and jboss.xml etc.
This is my client class with the ip of the linux machine that has my HelloJAR.jar file in the /server/default/deploy directory.

Calling function within function as parameter

We're planning to switch from MS-OLEDB to Oracle OLEDB and are expecting several troubles.
One of these is that MS supports calling functions with another function within whilst Oralce does not?
Example (works fine with MS):

This raises ORA-01036: Variablenname/-nummer ungültig with Oracle's OLEDB.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Whenever you have a problem, please post a complete test script that people can run to re-create the problem and test their ideas. In this case, include complete CREATE PACKAGE and CREATE PAGKAGE BODY statements, CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for any tables needed, some test calls to the the package, and the results you want from those test calls gibven that data.
Always say which versin of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0).

If bef_tax_ded is a function in the same package, then what you posted is a correct way to call it.
What is bef_ded_tot? If it's a NUMBER column in emp, then what you posted makes sense. If bef_ded_tot is a local variable inside some other function, then it doesn't make sense.. How to do what you want depends on what you want, and I can't tell you how to do it unless I understand what you want.
Also, the table alias e isn't defined. It doesn't look like you need a table alias.

Execute an ABAP ".txt" file with a call function

2. Create an Abap program which will read the ".txt" file (& upload it into an internal table for example) & execute this Abap code.

Export event from one cpu to another in final cut

I am trying to export an event from one computer with finalcut, to another computer with finalcut. I exported xml, and imported xml on the other computer. When the xml imports within finalcut on the second computer, the time stamps come along with a red image with yellow exlamation ! and says "no data". The event plays just find on machine #1 in final cut. What am I doing wrong?

Call Function From MXML Component

I am using MXML to create components that I use within my
application. I have one MXML file that contains a list with a
custom itemRenderer that is in another MXML file. I have an
actionscript file with a function that I want to call from the
itemRenderer.
If I call the function from my main application, everything
works fine. If I try to call it from one of the other MXML files, I
get a 1180 Call to a possibly undefined function error.
Is there a special way that I need to use to call the
function?
The main MXML file is in the root directory, the actionscript
file is in a folder called functions, and the MXML files are in a
folder called components.

I was able to figure out my problem. It was just a simple
typo of including the wrong file in a Script tag. However, this
caused more issues and I ended up having to rewrite a large section
of code to get everything working.

these are steps to create a button in ALV and trigger an event from it..
1.Use the parameter i_callback_pf_status_set in the function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY

form set_pf_status using rt_extab type slis_t_extab.
set pf-status 'NEWALVSTATUS'.

You have to copy the standard ALV pf stauts to 'NEWALVSTATUS' and add your button.
2.You have to do the following to process the new button click.
i_callback_user_command = 'USER_COMMAND'
form user_command using i_ucomm like sy-ucomm
is_selfield type slis_selfield.
case i_ucomm.
3. to copy the standard pf status to a new one.go to the ALV screen and take the menu System -> Status. Then look for the standard pf status. Copy this to Z range and then add your new button.

Hang Calling function after Document Class' Event.ADDED

I was trying to load an external SWF (that contains the below code in its document class) with the Loader class but i keep on receiving Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. So i tried to use the event listener Event.ADDED in MyDocumentClass constructor of the external SWF to let the document class be part of the display list before i invoke createRandomGraph. But when i place createRandomGraph( ) inside onStageReady, The compilation process hangs. When i leave the createRandomGraph( ) inside the constructor, it works perfectly as stand alone but will produce Error 1009 if loaded within the loader SWF. Any ideas?

How do I can link from one MXML to another in the same project?

I planned to create a login page separated in my new Flex
application. Maybe I am too attached to the WEB philosophy but I
prefer to do it in that way. The login page will simply validate
the login through a call to a CFC. While the CFC will also create
the session variables I will need over the navigation of the user
(once the login is validated), the variables (or more specifically
the values of those variables) will serve as reference during the
user's navigation. And those values are contains in the ColdFusion
Session and can be accessed through CFCs.
If the login is a success, I need to redirect the user to the
appropriate page (in my case, the application is a help desk system
so if the user is identified as a technician will go to the
technician.mxml or if the user is identified as a sysadmin, will go
to the sysadmin.mxml - simple as that). Now, I know it is possible
to redirect using ExternalInterface.call function but is there
anything more specific to Flex redirection from one MXML to
another? Just like classes (where you can create dependency of a
child classe to is parent)?

I finally decided to use simply the method
ExternalInterface.call to do this and it works fine! I passed
parameters through the URL and I actually created CFM page that
contains a copy of the HTML code generated by FlexBuilder (the CFM
page give me the possibility to deal with the parameters).
But I though that Flex can actually call another Flex and
passing parameters directly without passing by the HTML page
itself. A kind of memory scope but I guess I wish too much!!!

SMARTFORMS STEPS.
1. In Tcode se11 Create a structure(struct) same like the Internal table that you are going to use in your report.
2. Create Table type(t_struct) of stracture in se11.
3. In your program declare Internal table(Itab) type table of structure(struct).
4. Define work area(wa) like line of internal table.
5. Open Tcode Smartforms
6. In form Global setting , forminterface Import parameter define Internal table(Itab) like table type of stracture(t_struct).
7. In form Global setting , Global definitions , in Global data define Work area(wa) like type stracture(struct).
8. In form pages and window, create Page node by default Page1 is available.
9. In page node you can create numbers of secondary window. But in form there is only one Main window.

SAP Smart Forms allow you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools; in 90% of all cases, this won't include any programming effort. Thus, a power user without any programming knowledge can
configure forms with data from an SAP System for the relevant business processes.
To print a form, you need a program for data retrieval and a Smart Form that contains the entire from logic. As data retrieval and form logic are separated, you must only adapt the Smart Form if changes to the form logic are necessary. The application program passes the data via a function module interface to the Smart Form. When activating the Smart Form, the system automatically generates a function module. At runtime, the system processes this function module.
You can insert static and dynamic tables. This includes line feeds in individual table cells, triggering events for table headings and subtotals, and sorting data before output.
You can check individual nodes as well as the entire form and find any existing errors in the tree structure. The data flow analysis checks whether all fields (variables) have a defined value at the moment they are displayed.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to include graphics, which you can display either as part of the form or as background graphics. You use background graphics to copy the layout of an existing (scanned) form or to lend forms a company-specific look. During printout, you can suppress the background graphic, if desired.

You design a form using the graphical Form Painter and the graphical Table Painter. The form logic is represented by a hierarchy structure (tree structure) that consists of individual nodes, such as nodes for global settings, nodes for texts, nodes for output tables, or nodes for graphics.
To make changes, use Drag & Drop, Copy & Paste, and select different attributes.
These actions do not include writing of coding lines or using a Script language.
Using your form description maintained in the Form Builder, Smart Forms generates a function module that encapsulates layout, content and form logic. So you do not need a group of function modules to print a form, but only one.
For Web publishing, the system provides a generated XML output of the processed form.
Smart Forms provides a data stream called XML for Smart Forms (XSF) to allow the use of 3rd party printing tools. XSF passes form content from R/3 to an external product without passing any layout information about the Smart Form.
SmartForms System Fields
Within a form you can use the field string SFSY with its system fields. During form processing the system replaces these fields with the corresponding values. The field values come from the SAP System or are results of the processing.
System fields of Smart Forms
&SFSY-DATE&
Displays the date. You determine the display format in the user master record.
&SFSY-TIME&
Displays the time of day in the form HH:MM:SS.
&SFSY-PAGE&
Inserts the number of the current print page into the text. You determine the format of the page number (for example, Arabic, numeric) in the page node.
&SFSY-FORMPAGES&
Displays the total number of pages for the currently processed form. This allows you to include texts such as'Page x of y' into your output.
&SFSY-JOBPAGES&
Contains the total page number of all forms in the currently processed print request.
&SFSY-WINDOWNAME&
Contains the name of the current window (string in the Window field)
&SFSY-PAGENAME&
Contains the name of the current page (string in the Page field)
&SFSY-PAGEBREAK&
Is set to 'X' after a page break (either automatic [Page 7] or command-controlled [Page 46])
&SFSY-MAINEND&
Is set as soon as processing of the main window on the current page ends
&SFSY-EXCEPTION&
Contains the name of the raised exception. You must trigger your own exceptions, which you defined in the form interface, using the user_exception macro (syntax: user_exception <exception name >).
