ChooseFile not working to open a directory ?

Hi all,
I am creating an installer for my scripts and need to get an istall directory from the customer. It seems that ChooseFile ( ) with the ChooseOpenDir parameter is exactly what I need. But this does not work: there is no dialog and the return value is always null. Does anyone else experience this? Is this a bug in FM or just something wrong in my FM installation? I am running FM 12.0.0.308 on Windows 7.

It works for me, something like this:

alert(path);
One thing though... there is a bug in the interface where the prompt will fail and just return null if the start path is bogus:
var path = ChooseFile("Browse for folder", "C:\\Some\\Bogus\\Path", "", Constants.FV_ChooseOpenDir);
Make sure that the path is a valid folder, if you are specifying one. It might even give you problems if the path points to a file, even if valid.

It depends on how you set up your phone. You can have different Apple IDs for different services; you ID for purchasing can be different that the one you use for iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc.
If you have only one ID for all of these and you have now changed it, you need to make these changes on your phone. To change the ID you use for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores you go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores (or just Settings>Store in iOS 5), tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the changed ID and/or password. To change the ID for iMessage you go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (or Settings>Messages>Receive At in iOS 5), tap the ID at the top, sign out, then sign back in with the changes. Same for FaceTime by going to Settings>FaceTime.
To a different ID for iCloud your go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using your new ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to your new account.

Old Netscape console 4.2 not working properly with new Directory Server 5.2

After successfully installing Messaging Server 5.2 and applying patch 2, the old Netscape Console doesn't work properly, I tried running the script which is given in the link

which hobbles the server by creating a set of dummy jar files in order for the directory server console not making any changes on the messaging server. At first I got these messages:
Failed to install a local copy of msgadmin52.jar or one of its supporting files: not a ZIP file (END header not found)
I got the same message for these 2 files:
admserv42.jar
msgadmin52.jar
After that I made real dummy jar files using a zero-length file I created with touch and I got these messages:
class com.netscape.management.admser.AdminServer not found
After that I erased all the files created by the script and I get these messages:
failed to install a copy of admserv51.jar or one of its supporting files: null
failed to install a copy of msgadmin.jar or one of its supporting files: msgadmin52.jar not found at http://192.168.10.205:5001/
and for admserv42.jar I get the same message
Does anyone have a clue on what to do next??

The thing is that the netscape console 4.5 won't work properly with messaging server 5.2, and the directory server console is not working properly for the directory server. I already know the limitations about these consoles since it is explained in the doc where the procedure of migrating from a 4.x directory server to 5.1. I

Not able to open active directory user and computer in windows server 2008r2

Hi All techies,
i would like to know one issue which i am facing mostly, i have created 5 virtual machine all with window server2008r2 and one windows 7 on vm-ware now when ever i start my virtual machines everything going rite but when i try to open active directory user/
computer or domain and trust i get a following error "data from active directory user and computers is not available from dc(null) bcoz unspecified error" even when i chk in events log its give me no help, and after 15-30 min everything works good
Please let me know the cause of it and really appreciate it .

You need to ensure that
1. group policy that says "wait for network before logon" is applied to all computers including servers and workstations is applied
2. DNS record exists for all DCs in DNS
3. If there are multiple Domain Controllers in Forests, then they point them as secondary DNS server. This way they will be able to resolve IPs if local DNS server service takes time to start.
As Chris mentioned, you need to start all DCs first, give a time of 5 minutes and then start member servers and workstations for successful logon.

That would be very surprising but a change was made to Firefox 4 to always have the choice of going to History ("Alt+S") and choose "Restore previous session".
With Firefox 5 coming out in a few days (June 21-22) you might try again then, if the solution the developers built in does not work for you. Do you know about pinning tabs ('''app-tabs''') they persist across sessions as a convenience -- if I really want to keep something permanently then I would bookmark such things as a group. Because they can be closed easily.

TimedTrigger does not work after opening a popup on version 7.11

Hi experts,
In my application, there are 2 Windows (W_MAIN, W_POPUP) and 2 Views (V_MAIN, V_POPUP). I put TimedTrigger component to the first view, it is used for refreshing page automatically. W_POPUP and V_POPUP are used for opening popup.
The TimedTrigger works well on V_MAIN, but it does NOT work any more after the popup is used (opened and closed). The TimedTrigger just works again when the browser is refreshed.
The problem happens on Netweaver PI version 7.11 only, on version 7.1 is OK
Please give me your advice on it.

Intel 7260 does not work on open networks/filtered ports

Hi Everyone! I made sure to check if this was posted before and tried to fix everything I could before asking you guys. For the past few days, I have been using Android wifi tethering as I was unable to get the speed up above 1000 B/s at my school. This means that the pings work, but I am unable to do anything else.
I have the latest kernel and the latest firmware (downloaded from the iwlwifi kernel.org section) and am currently using NetworkManager. My wifi works on my WPA network at home, but nowhere else. This is a fresh install of Arch running Gnome.

Config on the settings is all the automatic ones. I get the signal strength and the speed but data transfers at a ridiculously slow rate. When I had Windows, it was 50 Mb/S.

For people that end up stumbling upon this thread: I talked to the IT director at my school and he said that it's normal for Linux (using open source drivers) users to find problems with connection. (Also, the USB wifi card I tried did not work.) As of now, it's a problem on the provider's end. If you can, ask them to update their "wifi stuff" and if that doesn't work, see if you can get them to secure the network with WPA2/PSK. (Probably won't happen) I was fortunate that I contacted him during the planning phase for securing the wifi and only had to wait a few days.

Mouse not working in open applications

Mouse not working properly on menu bar in certain applications: Text Edit, Calendar, Notes. You can hover over the red X but it will not close the application. Also unable to click on a text form and drop the cursor in to edit or copy text. Can open preference box but uanable to navigate because mouse will not click. Have to now use keyboard to open and close most applications. Virus? Setting that got magically turned on? Have powered down, checked batteries, etc.

This is not due to a virus, or any other kind of malware.
First, is this a wired mouse or a Bluetooth mouse? If it's a Bluetooth mouse, try changing the batteries, even if they should be fully charged.
Have you tried a different mouse? If not, try that. Borrow one from a friend or buy a cheap wired mouse and see if that makes a difference.
If the problem affects all mice, try restarting in safe mode. Does the problem happen while in that mode? If not, and if it comes back when you restart normally, then you have some kind of third-party software that is causing the problem. The trick will be figuring out what it is.

Fscommand is not working when opening PDF document in browser with Acrobat 9, why?

We embedded a flash application in PDF using screen annotation. In the flash we use fscommand to call methods available in AcroJS. In acrobat reader 9, if we view the document in Internet Explorer, we receive a security sandbox violation message saying that it cannot make fscommand calls to <unknown> (allowScriptAccess is ). But when we open the document in Firefox, it works fine.

The part that caught my eye was the following:
"...These methods will not work with Internet Explorer on Macs. This lack of functionality is a brower issue with communication with plugins and cannot be resolved by anyone except MicroSoft. "

Search not working in open dialogue box.

Why is it that after nearly TWO years the search function in the open dialogue box is still not working in inDesign? Why can it work when in the PASTE dialogue box but not the OPEN dialogue box? I discovered this fault years ago and wrote about it in length but it has yet to be addressed. Is there anybody else that is bothered by this?

I'm on a MAC. The dialogue box that appears when you OPEN a file. The search command in the top right corner (spotlight) does not work. Has not worked since the upgrade to CS6. See attached.

IChat not working with Open Directory users

I have a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard Server 10.6.1. It provides services like Address Book, iCal, iChat, Mobile Access, MySQL, Web, SMB, Push, etc... I named the server 'Alpha' with the hostname 'alpha.markhadjar.com'
I use DynDNS to help update my dynamic IP address with my ISP. They host my domain markhadjar.com. I created an 'A' record for markhadjar.com using my current IP. The DynDNS software client sends my current dynamic IP address and updates the record. I also created an alias for 'www'.
Airport Extreme port forwards the correct ports to the requested server providing those services.
All my users are listed in the Open Directory. My trouble is I can't seem to get iChat to work for the OD users. I get a connection error.
The jabber account i'm using is the [email protected] I use the server 'ichat.markhadjar.com' with port 5222 without SSL as I do not have a SSL certificate.
In the ichat settings of Server Admin, I specified ichat.markhadjar.com as the server name. I also created an alias in DynDNS for ichat.markhadjar.com - not sure if that was needed.
I cannot connect using iChat to the server. I even changed the server in the iChat preferences (client side) to just markhadjar.com with no luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mark, you mention that this server 'alpha' is running many things including Mobile Access Server. Do you also run Open Directory on the server? I am trying to figure out if Open Directory is required to be running on the server that runs Mobile Access for it to work in authenticating users and granting them appropriate access. I am hoping it is not required, because I'm having problems getting it to replicate from the Master OD server. It would be easier if it doesn't need to run OD at all. But then if it doesn't run OD, what do I need to do to "bind" it to the other internal origin server? I have read all the MObile Access doc's 50 times, and this is not clear to me. Just wondering how you are using Mobile Access. thanks man!

Acrobat XI Standard "send to mail" option not working after open a pdf file from Mozilla Firefox 35.0.1

I have a strange problem with one user. We use an internal web site where users upload pdf files. Usually other users could open and view the files. What happened since a couple of days. One user uses Acrobat XI Standard to view and edit the files. When he opens the file from Firefox he could edit it/save it and so on but when click on the email button at first the application freeze and after this nothing happens. When he saved the file, opened again and press the email button everything works without any problem. I've already check the settings in the Acrobat about the email client and it is Outlook 2010. Does someone have an idea how to solve it? Thanks in advance

Did you try opening that file in any other browser ?If not ,please try doing that once and see if that works for you.
Try Repairing Acrobat once and see if that helps.
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Repair Acrobat Installation.

Write to Spreadsheet vi does not work when opened on my laptop.

I have a very simple vi that collects data and writes to a spreadsheet. It works perfectly on my desktop computer but when I open with my laptop it does not write or give any indication that it's working.I know the vi is running but nothing happens. When I stop the vi it takes a moment to do anything and then at the top left corner it displays "Resetting Vi" and finally turns off.
Both computers have the same operating system and Labview edition.
I checked the vi properties and the labview options and both computers appear the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no idea why your vis would do that, but I have developed LabVIEW to Excel vis that seem to work pretty well.
Why don't you try them and tell me how it goes?
There are 5 Sub VIs that interact with Excel and one example VI that shows one way they can be used. They're in a winzip self-extracting archive set to extract them into an 'Excel' folder on your desktop.
Use the example VI first. Type in the path of an existing workbook, or just 'Book1', the name of the sheet or just 'Sheet1',the excel cell address, and the corresponding desired cell value in the appropriate control and run the vi.
Start Excel opens and returns an automation reference to Excel. It sets the visibility of Excel to the specified Boolean state, sets the window state to Maximized,
Minimized, or Normal, and if there is no open workbook, it creates a new one.
Get List of Excel Workbooks accepts an Excel Automation Reference and returns an array of workbook names.
Set Cells in Excel Worksheet accepts an Excel Automation Number, a Workbook name, a Worksheet name, an array of Excel cell references (in A1 format), and an array of values corresponding to the cell references. After checking for the existance of the workbook and worksheet, it loops through the cell references with the 'Set Excel Cell to Value' VI.
The Set Excel Cell to value VI takes a OLE Excel Worksheet reference, a cell address and a value argument. It checks the cell address with the 'Check Excel Cell reference' VI, then sets the value of the excel cell to value.
The Check Excel Cell Reference VI checks the cell reference for validity. Cell columns may range from A to IV, and cell rows may extend from 1 to 65536. It converts A1 references to R1C1 references and returns a Boolean True if
the address is good.
