Choosing of License (IP adv vs IP enterprise Adv)

Hi,
I am working of choosing of router license.  Most of time I notices not clear about between a IP Advanced Services License and IP Advance Enterprise Services License.  The different is IP Advance Enterprise service license support "...as well as older protocols".  But Advance not.  However, I cannot find what is including in "older protocols"  Did any one can advise me what that is?

You should be able to find the differences using the Cisco Feature Navigator. Use this url:
www.cisco.com/go.fn
In the Feature Navigator is an option to compare two releases. Choose a platform and choose some release level and specify the Advanced Services feature set for one and choose the same realease level and specify Advanced Enterprise Services for the other. The output generated should show what is supported in each that is not supported in the other.

  • Best way to license Apps in the UK Enterprise

I am hoping to rollout several iPads for our employees but want to know the best way to volume license this in the UK.
I know there is an arrangement for the US but I am at a loss at finding information for the UK market.
Can anyone advise on the best way to do this?
I really don't want users creating their own Apple IDs as I intend to lock down the devices in any case.
I thought the best way was to:-
    - Create a Corporate Apple ID
    - Download all the Apps required from the store
    - Use the iPhone config utility to update all other devices manually (as there is no way you can remote push apps from the store I think)
    OR
    - Back up gold settings on a finsihed iPad and restore on the other units, chaning the device name
The only problem I saw with this is that any updates would fail unless the end user know what the credentials of the Coporate Apple ID was.
    Any advise would be welcome.

I concur with T-squared. The Kensington 33185 is simple to use and the sound quality has been excellent. I bought it just last Friday and it has seen me through numerous holiday roadtrips over the past week. It charges and has three presets; I can recommend 89.7 or 106.5 FM when you're in the Philadelphia/Princeton area. :->

  • WAAS - Upgrade from transport to enterprise license

    Hi
I have a WAE that has a Transport license, and is currently running on version 4.0.17
I need to upgrade it 4.1, and upgrade to an enterprise license (We have bought the license)
Does any1 have a documentation that shows the steps needed to upgrade from transport license to enterprise license?

Licenses are installed and managed only on individual WAE devices, not device groups. Not all licenses are supported on all devices.
To add a license from the WAAS Central Manager, follow these steps:
Step 1 From the WAAS Central Manager GUI navigation pane, choose My WAN > Manage Devices.
Step 2 Click the Edit icon next to the device that you want to modify.
Step 3 In the navigation pane, choose Admin > License Management.
Step 4 Check the check box next to each license that you want to add.
    Step 5 Click Submit.
To add licenses from the CLI, you can use the license add EXEC command.
To remove licenses from the CLI, you can use the clear license EXEC command.
To display the status of all licenses from the CLI, you can use the show license EXEC command.
The setup utility also configures licenses when you first set up a new WAAS device

  • Oracle server license difference between Standard & Enterprise Edition

    Hello All,
I have basic folowing question for Oracle server "Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.3)" version.
I ahve to purchase license , which one should I purchase , standard or Enterprise edition.
    1) Is there different license required for Standard Edition & Enterprise Edition of above given Oracle version?
    2) Or same license will work on Standard & Enterprise edition ?
If I have to use Oracle 10g Release 2 *(10.2.0.4)"* , I have to purchase new license or "Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.3)" license wil work for (10.2.0.4) ?
I need above infromation on urgent basis....

Many of the questions you ask are discussed in the Software Investment Guide found at http://www.oracle.com/corporate/pricing/index.html
In general, you purchase either a Named User or a CPU license for a product. At the time of purchase, you decide whether it is a perpetual license or a term license which has an expiry date. You get a contract (which you should read) in which the limits are described - the limits may include which (or how many) machines you can install the product on.
When you buy the license, you also buy support. The support usually provides unlimited access to Metalink to ask any questions and download any patches. A support contract (which you should read) is 1 year long and is tied to a specific license purchase contract. You can not, for example, download patches for a licensed system and use those patches on other non-licensed systems. At the end of the year, you purchase a new support contract for another year.
The version of the product for which you can purchase a license is always the version that you can download at http://edelivery.oracle.com If you want to change the version number (for example, go to 10.2.0.4) you start by installing the downloaded version and apply a patch set (from metalink) to upgrade that installed version.

  • SAP Enterprise Services Explorer License key

    Hello,
How can I obtain a license key for the SAP Enterprise Services Explorer for Microsoft .NET ?
There was a message stating that it was a 90 day trial version when I downloaded the installation file.
We do have a license for SAP NetWeaver CE 7.2; but I can't find where to download a version that it's not trial or get a proper license key
(SAP Support Portal / Downloads / SAP Connectors or Keys and Requests)
Also I'd like to know what's the process to apply this license? It's my understanding that it only applies to the development machine. Is this assumption correct ?
    Thank you!

  • How to apply license for SSM 7.5 & Netweaver CE 7.1?

How to apply license for SSM 7.5 & Netweaver CE 7.1?
My application server java in SAPMMC: appear message: no valid license found.
Acually we already bought license and download,
So, how to solve this license problem?

    Chamnap,
When your NetWeaver license expires, it can be restarted, but will only run for 1/2 hour, to allow installing a new license.
Step 1- Start NetWeaver CE from the control console
Step 2 - Log on to NetWeaver Administrator http:///[server]:50000/nwa and go to Configuration tab then Infrastructure sub-tab, then Licenses
Step 3 -  Make note of your System Number and Active Hardware Key in the System Parameters section
Step 4 - Navigate to the Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/licensekey
Step 5 - You are looking for SAP Business Suite - SAP Products with ABAP Stack, Without ABAP stack (WEB AS Java-J2EE Engine) SAP Enterprise Portal link
Step 6 - Fill in your Hardware Key and System # -  Make sure you choose this License Type: J2EE Engine - Web Application Server Java (it is not the default selection)
Step 7 - A message at the bottom of the page will note a new key has been generated and you can Download the txt file needed (you also receive an email with the info as well)
Step 8 - (Restart NetWeaver CE - if its timed-out) On the Licenses page of nwa click Install from File > Browse to the txt doc you downloaded and ADD
You now have the new license install. Make note of the date to schedule the time for any future updates, so that service is not interrupted.
If you cannot access the license key on the Service Marketplace you will need to contact your SAP account representative.

    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/release/note/OL_27990-01.html
Under Table 5 - Support by Image Type; VSS is listed as available on IP Base (SUP7E only) and a plain Yes under Enterprise Services

Under Table 1 - Minimum License for VSS; IP Base or higher (7-E) or special license (7-LE and Catalyst 4500-X)
There appears to be no option on the CCO configuration tools to add VSS license on 4500R+E chasiss bundles with for example dual SUP7L-E and IP Base

  • Billing categories and license sets in UM 3.4 Beta

I have a hard time figuring out billing categories and license sets in UM. Please help
I'm running UM 3.4 Beta in my lab. The lab consists of two vCenter servers, vc01 and vc02. I have on ESXi host connected to vc01. This host is licensed with vSphere for desktop.
vc02 have five ESXi hots connected, they are all licensed with vSphere 5 Ent Plus. I've attached some screenshots of my UM.
Under billing Category in UM I set the vSphere for Desktop license to Perpetual and the Enterprise Plus license to VSPP.
I then created a License set named TEST where I only included the Enterprise Plus license.
Running a Customer Summary report without specifying a License set gives me a Billed vRAM (GB-Hours) of 14,734. Going back and choosing License set TEST
and running the same report gives me a Billed vRAM (GB-Hours) of 20,819.
Why is the second report reporting more billed vRAM then the first?

There are many causes for each of the errors mention.  It would be best to put one issue to the forum at a time.  For example, some of these issues occur then tasks are deleted from projects but a timesheet has been submitted.   Depending
on the scenario, some of these issues have been fixed with the latest service pack.
Other issues are due to bad scheduling habits with the project managers and so first determining what they have done can help resolve some the issues.
_error Loading, is because something is NULL in the data and the jave is choking when it build the form. Again, these may be because of delete tasks, resources, projects  or someone doing copying and pasting of rows.
    cheers!
PS.  Train your PM to not COPY and PASTE rows in project schedules.  It can be done, but it can create problems.  There are over 500 fields and some have unique data and the copy paste creates havic.

    1) May i know where can i find out if a given feature is licensed or comes free with enterprised edition?

  • What licenses do I need to get a virtual desktop environment up and running?

I’m trying to figure out what licenses I need to get a full Windows Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) up and running with the Remote Desktop Service (RDS) roles.
I have Win.Server 2012 running Hyper-V, which has about 10 different virtual machines (VM) with either Win.7 or Win.8 installed on it. These VMs will act as virtual desktops (VD) for about 200 people to remotely access and use.
My question is, what licenses do I need to support this scenario?
So far, I’m planning to purchase a few Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition with 10 Client Access Licenses ( $1414.19 each). I’m assuming that’s 1 license for the server and 10 Client Access Licenses (CAL) for users who will access the VDs. I’m also planning
to buy about 200 RDS CALs ($149 each) for the rest of the users to access the VDs. Do I need to buy additional licenses for each VM image I create (the 10 images I mentioned earlier)? These VMs are in a pooled virtual desktop collection, so they reset themselves
when users disconnect from them. If I have personal desktop collections which give unique desktops to each user and saves their settings, will my license have to change if I have that too?
At first I thought just buying the RDS CALs will allow me to install windows where ever I want, how many times I want and all I have to worry about is paying for the client access, but do I need to pay for the OS as well? So essentially I’m doubling the
    license?
A side question not really related is, if I have Windows Thin PC, (which was said to come free if I have SA with another product)  and bought the Windows Server license, does that come with SA and I can install Windows Thin PC as many times as I want
on which ever desktop I have that will connect to this VDI system?

The 10 server licenses are fine, but they don't help you with VDI or remote desktops. I you want to install the Remote Desktop Session Host (formerly known as Terminal Server) role on all your servers und provide remote desktops for your 200 users, 200 RDS
CALs are the right choice (per user or per device).
But if your 200 users have access to virtual desktops, you need 200 VDI licenses. It doesn't matter if you only have 10 virtual desktops if potentially all your 200 users have access to them. VDI licensing is not based on a concurrent model, so every client
that can connect to a VM needs its own license. If Windows 8 Enterprise with SA is on all your client devices, you're set because SA gives users access rights to up to 4 Win8 or Win7 VMs concurrently (local or remote). In addition
it gives them a so-called companion subscription license for personally owned, non-primary devices.
For those primary corporate devices that are without SA, you'll need to purchase a single VDA license for each device that connects to any number of your Win7 or Win8 VMs. The same applies to personally owned devices of users who don't have a primary
corporate device with SA. In other words, BYOD is supported if your primary device is under SA.
For neither VDI/SA nor VDA it does matter if users are connecting to different VM images or only one. Typically, they cannot connect to more than 4 VMs at the same time in order to stay within the licensing limits.

  • Windows 7 Enterprise x64 on 2010 Macbook Pro 15" i5

Has anyone successfully installed a version of Windows 7 other than the Home, Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate on this series of OS X? I only have a copy of OS 10.6.5 and up. It looks like bootcamp is very picky about what version exactly gets installed. I don't know why!
I just want to make it boot from my totally 100% legal copy of Windows 7 x64 but the Bootcamp utility ignores it and holding the "option" key doesn't give me the choice to boot from that DVD. I can download almost any other version of the Enterprise version of Windows 7 from Microsoft's website but my upgrade license only lets me install Enterprise.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make a version of Windows 7 install on this hardware?
    Thank you!

The windows 7 enterprise disk I was using included service pack 1. I think bootcamp didn't like that the disk was sp1. I downloaded the non service pack iso and it installed just fine. I had been using a fully updated os 10.6.7. It works now.

  • Windows 8 Enterprise automaticly updated to Windows 8.1 pro

    Hi all,
My company computer at my home location is running windows 8 enterprise.
yesterday i came home and there was a message in the screen asking for a reboot.
the reboot was needed for the update to 8.1  it sayd.
when the computer was rebooted several times, it suddenly asked me for a Licence key, this while there is a corporate licence.
then i checked the windows vertion and it is windows 8.1 pro now.
can anyone tell me what the hell happened and how i can revert this?
    Kind regards.
    Bas

    Hi,
This is not possible. Windows 8.1 upgrades are available in the Windows Store or on media. However, when you upgrade to Windows 8.1 from the Windows Store, you cannot change editions. Upgrading to a different edition of Windows 8.1 is supported from media
    only.
Volume license version of Windows 8 Enterprise cannot be upgraded from the Windows Store. You must use media to upgrade these editions.
It would be helpful for us to do further troubleshooting if you could help to collect the following information:
Did you mean the Windows Editions you are running in the Company and at home were not same?
If yes, I think the edition when you were facing that ask to update to Windows 8.1 should not be the Windows 8 Enterprise.
Use your antivirus scan the whole computer and then double the version of the current system: right click Computer ->Properties ->under Windows Edition section, check the current edition.
Contact your IT admin to make if they push the related updates.

  • Oracle BI Spreadsheet Add-in Licensing

Is anybody aware of the licensing policy with Oracle BI Spreadsheet Add-in? Are these licenses to be purchased separately or avaiable with the install of database with OLAP option? Any advise or reference to documentation would be useful.
We have the following database installed and licensed currently:
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
With the Partitioning, Oracle Label Security, OLAP, Data Mining
and Real Application Testing optionsWe have the Oracle 10g version with OLAP option installed
    Thanks,S

The Oracle BI Spreadsheet Add-in is included in your OLAP Option license.
You might also be intested in knowing that you wil soon be able to use Excel 'natively' using an MDX connection to an Oracle 11g cube. This is a very nice solution. If you have the opportunity to evaluate Oracle11g OLAP (which as lots and lots of enhancements), you should definiately be looking at this solution.
