CIF Transportation Lanes from R/3 to APO

Currently, we are creating transportation lanes in APO via BAPI calls from R/3.     We have been lead to believe that transportation lanes can be CIF'ed over to APO.
We are only executing GATP in APO.    We currently do not use DP, SNP, PP/DS, TP/VS, etc.
I have seen several OSS notes that allows additional fields to be added to the CIF screen (tx = CFM1) but these fields would be more for filtering data.
We just upgraded our APO system from 3.1 to 5.0.    The CFM1 screen stayed the same in SCM 5.0.     Could it be possible that we don't have an updated CFM1 screen with the option of CIF'ing transportaion lanes??
Any information on this would be appreciated.

As you in your requirement only describe gATP, I am a bit unsure why you need the transportation lanes? There are some different ways to handle the scheduling part in gATP and you should look into this before making any decisions regarding this. Normally you can ake use of transportation zones in APO to give a goiod level of detail vs maintenance for transportation lead time scheduling. gATP also allows for usage of condition technique and, as of 5.0, a new general procudure process scheduling from which I have no experience. I can see benefitds with transportation zones and scheduling, and in this scenario it would be possoble to make use of some data (customers) that can be CIFed and grouped. But as said there are several options, please specify your requirments to see if I can support further.

How to block CIFed Transportation lane from ECC to APO

Dear all,
I want to know if there is any way to stop automatic creation of Transportation lane in APO when material master records, with procurement type F: External Procurement and special procurement U, are registered or modified in ECC.
Although only APO-DP is implemented in our project, which does not require the transportation lanes at all, we have to delete not only a product location master record but also collesponding product specific transportation lane when the product is no longer available for demand planning.
The integration model includes only material master records, not other TL-related data such as Pur. info.
I've tried to find any configurations or EXITs stuff which satisfy the requirement above, but couldn't find it...
I would appreciate any information on this.

I think this is created part of the Product Integration Model and is controlled via the Product Inbound User Exit - APOCF005.
There is no User Exit for Transportation Lanes.
In this User Exit ... there is a Structure /sapapo/matloc which I think contains the Procurement Type (BESKZ) and instead of the Spl. Procurement Key it contains the Supplying Plant (SUPPLPLANT), Procurement Category (SUPPLTYPE).
It's got to be the fields in the MATLOC Structure.
Could be the MATLOCX Structure too ... I could not see any, so I think the above 2 fields should do it.
Try Coding in this UserExit to make the SUPPLPLANT and SUPPLTYPE field as Blank via ABAP Code. Do not touch the BESKZ field as that is needed in APO. This should do it ...when you activate the Model the Inbound Processing.

Issue in CIF of delivery from R/3 to APO

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue while transferring sales order from R/3 to APO.
When any sales order is created in ECC, it is transferred to APO.
My requirement is to restricted specific sales order type and respective deliveries from going to APO.
I have written my logic in exit CIFSLS03 in FM EXIT_SAPLCSLS_002.
But this code is working fine for sales order but not for respective deliveries.
Here is screen shot of my logic.
Please look into this and help me to overcome this situation.

Let me know if I am missing any configuration settings.

Not able to cif transiton data from APO to R/3 and from R/3 to APO

I have made all relevant setting as per required for configuration of cif architecture in R/3 and in APO.I am able to cif master data from R/3 to APO but when I am transferring Planned Order from APO to R/3 or Sales Order from R/3 to APO I am not able to tranfer it .Even I am not getting any blocked q.
Even I am able to access remote login to both system by RFC Connection.
Please let me know how to debug it and solve it.

Hi Ashish,
Please try ciffing only one transactional data and then check on the application logs using t-code CFM1 or SLG1 in R/3 and /n/sapapo/c3 & slg1 in APO. This will give you idea where is going on wrong.

Automatic creation of transportation lane between two Plants or location

I am aware that when we cif Inforecords from R/3 to APO new transportation lanes automatically gets created between the Plant and Vendor.
The isssue which i am facing is that i want transportation lanes to be created between two plants . The TL should be created automatically. I could find the below details from sap help.

Transportation Lanes with Reference to R/3 Material Master Record
Storing a special procurement type with procurement type F: External Procurement and special procurement U: Stock Transfer (in the MRP 2 view of the R/3 material master record), means that the material has to be procured externally from another plant (supplying plant) or transferred from another plant.
To also be able to perform stock transfers for this material in the SAP APO system, there has to be a transportation lane from the supplying plant to the receiving plant. If you have transferred a material with this special procurement type from the SAP R/3 system, the SAP APO system automatically creates a corresponding transportation lane from the supplying plant to the receiving plant for the supplying plant (from the special procurement type) and material/plant combination. The transportation lane is given the creation indicator u201CSu201D for special procurement.
I am not able to make sense of special procurement U: Stock Transfer (in the MRP 2 view of the R/3 material master record),
Is this Special procurement some sort of customization as i could not find U: Stock Transfer in my implementation.
Please help me understand this. What exactly should i do to create TL between Plants automaticcaly through Cif.

You need to define setting in IMG for this from source to Target location.
Follow this path :
Production->Material Requirements ->Master Data->Define Special Procurement Type
example :

SPP Error - No valid transportation lane between Supplier and LOC1

Hi
While running the EOQ and SFT planning service, we get the following error
"No valid transportation lane between Supplier and LOC1". LOC1 is the entry location for our BOD.
We have not created any procurement relationships as we are working on a standalone SCM trialbox.
Appreciate any help/suggestions to resolve this issue.

Hi Mitesh,
You need to have valid transportation lanes from the supplier. Maintain it manually. If I remember correctly it is possible to have External Procurement Relationships in APO only (type 4) and not just contracts, purchasing inforecords or scheduling agreements CIFed from ECC.

Unable to create entry under Product Specific Transportation Lane by BAPI Function Module

I am developing one RFC function module which will trigger BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 to create transportation lane (/n/SAPAPO/SCC_TL1) in APO. But I am facing one problem while creating a new entry under “Product Specific Transportation Lane”. But I am not able to pass ‘Group Selection’ radio button field in BAPI11201TRPRODLANE2 structure since I am not getting suitable field, but Product Group Type and Product Group value I am able to pass. Can anyone help me if you have any idea on this?

Thaks for those function modules. I tried with '/SAPAPO/TR_TRPRODM_PUT'. This deletes from table /SAPAPO/TRPRODM but not from /SAPAPO/TRM and so the means of transport still appears in the transaction. Do you have any idea why it behaves this way.

How to use snp heuristic with two direction transportation lanes?

Dear Expert,
now, i want to run snp plan for two location 1000 and 2000 with heuristic method.
at the difference point of time, i run difference snp plan. for example, this month i run snp with transportation lane from 1000> 2000 for product A113 and A124. but in three next month i want to run snp with transportation lane from 2000-> 1000 for A113, A124 and A224.
so i don't know how to config snp to do this. 'cause i know with two direction transportation lane the system will have a loop.
please help me.

If you just use location heuristic, the system is OK with the cycles. You can just run it.
Even if you use network heuristic, the heuristic can also run. The only problem is that the low level code may not be correctly determined, which cause the sequence of the locations incorrect.
And you also have the following options:
1)Block the unused the transportaion lane when you want to switch to the other way.
2)Use BADI /SAPAPO/PWB_SOS method PWB_USEX_SOS to filter the unused transportation lane.

Creation of Transportation lanes during CIF of scheduling agreements.

Could anyone please let me know the place(CIF Code) where transportation lanes are created during CIF process of scheduling agreements from R/3 to APO system. This scheduling agreements will be created in R/3 and will CIFed to APO(SPP).
I need to enhance the process where Transportation lanes are created when scheduling agreements are CIFed from R/3 to APO system. The enhancement will be adding a custom planned delivery time value to Means of transport(MOT) of the transportation lane.
I tried debugging the CIF but in vain.

What is the Purchasing Document used - Purchasing Info Records or Contracts? You can CIF any of these to APO to create Procurement Relationships which in turn automatically creates Transportation Lane. You have to assign Means of Transport manually though. Note - T Lanes created with reference to Contract are however not used by SNP for source determination.
The other option is Special Procurement Key - if assigned in Material Master will automatically create TLane in APO when Materials are CIFed. Downside of that process is no control on TLane Validity Date and / or other Planning Parameters like Lot Size / PDT.
As for creation of T Lane based on Source List - SAP Help mentions it can be used but have not seen in any live project so cannot comment.

Product exclude from the transport lane

Hello experts,
We are using a transport lane with "all products" as we are having 300 products but we want to exclude 3 products from the lane.
We dont want to create for all 297 products, is it possible to exclude 3 products from the lane.

Hello Mani,
As other experts suggested, you can make use of "Block" setting in the Transportation Lane. You have two option either user Value - X (Locked) or use Value: D (Locked and Flagged for Deletion).
Besides, you can also make use of Start Date and End Date option to make this Tlane invalid for those 3 products.

Error in Transport Lane Determination (/APO/SDP94)

Hi Guys,
Please can you help on the isuue :
When I am entering a quantity for Planning Book in SDP94 for particular period(Week Format) and after pressing the enter key POP-UP for Transport Lane Determantion is coming and after adopting the transport lane if I am going to enter the quantity for other period and after pressing enter the POP-UP is not coming. After exiting and then coming back again I am able to complete the process.
I want to enter the Multiple daat same time but due to this error I am unable to complete it.
Can you tell me is it a software bug or any setting problem?

In SDP94 user has to enter the data manually for Final Dispatch. (This is for Transportation Lane) The Data will be entered manually.
I have a Product in Production Plant (PRDPT) (Source Location) . It has be transported to other location(TRLOC1, TRLOC2) .
When I have to enter the Quantity in source location for Dispatch in PRDPT and Pressing the ENTER key the Pop UP will come and then I have to select the location where I have to dispatch either in the transportation lane of TRLOC1 or TRLOC2
First time POP-UP is coming to select the Transportation Lane for Disptach Location.
So assume I have selected in 32nd week in PRDPT and selected TRLOC1.
but suppose I want to enter for 33rd week in PRDPT and after pressing the enter key no POP-UP is coming.
I am able to do it if I am doing Save and Exit after entering the 32nd week data and coming again to same screen and then enter the 33rd week data and so on.
Please note that I am not going to enter the data of 32nd, 33rd or other week same time. I have to enter the data one by one. It menas after determination of 1st data , I have to go for 2nd data.

Purchase Requisition Transfers from SCM 5.0 APO to R/3

I am working on SCM 5.0 -- transferring Purchase Requisitions from APO to R/3 from SNP heurristic run. I am wondering if there is any documented procedure of available options and the steps involved in setting up.
Can you transfer only certain Purchase Requisitions instead of ALL?
Can you setup approval workflow to allow the transfer of only approved PRs ?
What steps involved to get PRs from the SNP Heuristic?
I found the IMG Activity (SAP SCM Implementation Guide  Advanced Planning and Optimization  Supply Chain Planning  Supply Network Planning (SNP)  Basic Settings  Configure Transfer to OLTP system).
I shall greatly apprecaite if some one answers the questions and points me to some 'How to Guide or the steps involved in setting up'.

You actually need the SCM-APO-CIF (Core Interface) Training for this. A Pre-requisite to that is the APO Overview. Have you undergone it ?
In Short i will tell you the answers you want ... I hope you will reward me with Points if you feel it was helpful.
To Transfer PRs from APO to R3 following setup is needed ..
- Do Configuration of STO (Stock Transfer) in R3. Ensure Stock Transfer PRs and STOs between the 2 Plants can be created Manually in R3. This will require you to do a Lot of MM & SD Configuration on IntraCompany STOs.
A Key Part for APO is to set the STO Order Types for the
Source and Destination Plant, Assign Vendor to the Shipping Plant, Customer to the Destination Plant .. etc. A Test of correct setup is your ability to create a PR and STO manually in R3 first before you do APO.
- Setup of all APO Locations (Plants in SAP-R3), Products (Materials in SAP-R3). These are done via the Location and Product Integration Models. Make sure you have defined the Timezone in the Plant and set the Plant in SAP as DC or Production Plant (Refer CIF Training).
- Setup of Transport Lanes in APO (done manually in APO).
You define Transport Durations here.
- You have to have the Purchase Requisition Integration Model Active for those Product Locations. To do the Integration Model all CIF Configuration including the one IMG you have described in your Question is to be done. Assuming that the Products are set to 'X0' MRP Type in R3 ... so they are set to Planning in APO.
- For Setup in "Configure Transfer to OLTP" it is best to select 'Periodic Transfer' so you can actually control the Product-Locations and Date Range of PRs APO has created. The Planning Runs create 'Change Pointers' to send the PRs to R3.
- Define in APO that you will be sending Purchase Requisitions at your Destination Location to R3. You use 'Publish Change Pointers' - /sapapo/cp1 to do this.
- The Change Pointers are created after APO Planning run which can be sent to R3 using /sapapo/c5. You should send them periodically after you're satisfied with the planning results or in Night Batch runs after your Planning run.
- To Control some type of PRs you will have to use User Exits in APO for CIF that send External Procurement / PRs from APO to R3. This is not Standard. But I am not sure why you will have different types of PRs for Stock Transfer between 2 Plants. There is no need. You can control PRs between 2 Locations to not go to R3, via the selection of locations in /sapapo/c5.

Hi folks,
The issue is like this :
We have a weekly workorders upload program from legacy systems to SAP-APO. The legacy planners send a .CSV file containing material-wise workroders. A customised zee program picks these quantities & writes them in Prod.planned keyfigures in SNP planning book. This process is done for the manufacturing locations only.
Lately workorders for two particular material M1 & M2 had failed to get upload. It gives the error 'NO VALID SOURCE OF SUPPLY COULD BE FOUND' in its Job log. We did some debugging & found that for successful materials the TRPID is getting generated in the table /SAPAPO/V_TRPROD whereas this TRPID is missing for M1 & M2. Why this is happening is our main concern. We tried deleting the PPM & creating this again, assuming that the PPMID is the precursor for generating this TRPID, but this yielded no results.

We deleted the PPM & created it again, which didn't work.
Later on we deleted the product itself from APO & re-CIFed it from R3 & then re-created the PPM.
The PPMID which was missing earlier is now getting created! However no luck with the TRPID.
Why this TRPID is not getting generated in our only concern

Automatic Creation of multiple Transportation Lanes

Hi all.
Is it possible to avoid following standard behaviour:
Change of Supplying Plant in the Special Procurement Type
If you have changed the supplying plant in the special procurement type in the ERP system, the SCM system creates a new transportation lane for the new combination of supplying plant (from special procurement type) and material/plant. The already existing transportation lane and the now invalid combination of supplying plant and plant in the ERP system is locked for orders in the SAP APO system. This can be seen from the lock indicator X that is set by the system.
Automatic Creation of Transportation Lanes - Transportation Lane - SAP Library
Our need for some SKU is to create automatically two T-Lanes. Considering user exit EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001, we added a new line on CT_CIF_MATLOC (and relative CT_CIF_MATLOCX) with different SUPPLPLANT, but the system obviously blocks (SPRKZ) the SKU on one of the two T-Lane.

Hi Mauro,
In my opinion you have to create a program to delete the lock indicator. First you have to extract the information from tr.lanes, then change (delete X indicator) and save. This job should be scheduled before heuristic run.
To extract data from tr.lanes you can use BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_GETLIST2. To change and save you can use BAPI_TRLSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2.
