Cisco 3945E ISR G2 as a wholesale VOIP gateway

we have unused 2 ISRG2 3945E router. we want to utilize this 2 router in our wholesale VoIP business.
i'm little bit confised. that how much concurent calls support each of this two router.

1Gbps backbone between the switch and router? Where can I find the information?
Go HERE.
The interface communication between router-to-module may be 1 Gbps but you won't be able to push 1 Gbps.

  • Cisco Call Manager 5.1 and Cisco VoIP Gateways

    Hi,
I have Cisco Call Manager 5.1 with Cisco 2800 series routers as a ISDN gateways and Cisco VG224/ATA 186 as POTS gateways. While Cisco Call Manager collects call statistics from 7900 series SCCP handsets managed by the Call Manager (number of VoIP packets, dropped frames etc.), it shows only one side of the call as it does not collect statistics from the Cisco routers (configured as H.323 gateways), the Cisco VG224 (with ports configured as H.323 gateways and as a SCCP devices) and Cisco ATA 186 (configured for SCCP).
Is the collection of these statistics possible? What needs to be done?
    Thanks,
    Paul

Update: Logging of QoS/Call Management Records (CMR) to Call Manager CDR database is not possible with H.323 gateways; only MGCP gateways:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_qanda_item09186a008020650a.shtml#qa4
Anyone know how to get the Cisco router gateway to log these statistics anyway using standard router logging mechanisms (e.g. syslog)?
Anyone know about calls to SCCP ports on Cisco VG224 or ATA 186?
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Cisco 1760 and VoIP gateway

    Hello NetProf!
I'm repeating my request for help, mabey clearing a few things out.
    1. We have a cisco 1760 router running CCME
    2. Some connected to it cisco 79xx ip-phones
    3. A third party gatekeeper - MikroTik router
    4. Every device is logged in the gatekeeper, and every call i settled with the use of it.
    5. We have a third party VoIP gateway - MultiTechs MultiVoIP - also registered in the gatekeeper.
    6. Now the connections history:
    a) when phoning from the gateway to cisco - everything works fine.
    b) when phoning fromn cisco to the gateway - the connection failes - it looks like CISCO ISN'T FORWARDING ANY INDENTITY DATA - NO IP ADDRESS, AND H323-ID - GETS TO THE GATEWAY!!!!!
    Please help!!

  • Cisco 881 ISR IPSec VPN Tunnel does not pass traffic from the vlan.

I have a cisco 881 ISR Router with a site-to-site IPsec vpn tunnel to a mikrotik device on the other end (I inherited this from my client). The tunnel is constructed properly and is up, however traffic does not pass or get routed to the FA4 interface. I see in my packet captures that it hits the vlan1 interface (vlans are required on the L2 ports) and does not pass to the tunnel.

Why do you have following command on the PIX?
    crypto map outside_map 40 set transform-set 165.228.x.x
Also you have this transform set on the PIX:
    crypto ipsec transform-set 10.112.60.0 esp-aes-256 esp-sha-hmac
This does not match the transfor set on the router:
    crypto ipsec transform-set tritest esp-3des esp-md5-hmac
Where are you using the access-list/route-map

  • MPLS CE support on Cisco 2800 ISR router

Hi all, could I ask you for some hints about MPLS CE support on Cisco 2800 ISR router today? I`m finding restrictions and recommendations for feature implementation. Do you have any cisco web site about them?
Thank you for your advice and/or hints.
    Peter

Thanks for an answer. I need to use multi-VPN model on CE router, but with QoS on one physical CE-PE connection (e.g. Frame-Relay DLCI).However, all VPNs on CE router must be secured for each one. The solution is Multi-VRF service feature, but, however, with multi-DLCI model on Frame-Relay and QoS per DLCI. Now, I`m finding a scenario to provide multi-VPN model on CE router with single-DLCI model and single QoS per one DLCI for all VPNs. And that, MPLS CE feature on C2800 could be used, if possible.
So, I don`t know more about MPLS CE on C2800 and I don`t know make a result to propsed solution...

  • Cisco 2911 ISR Firewall

    Hi everyone,
I would like to inquire on how to deploy Cisco 2911 ISR routers to act as Firewall to protect segments of my network. We have more than 10 units of the said router on our branch and i would like to ask on how i can make it a Firewall, it is running on IOS with sec/k9 license.
Hope that anyone can help me with my problem.
Thank you very much in advance
    Best Regards,

    Hi Julio,
A good day its me again. My apologies to bother you again. May i ask for your advice regarding the set-up of my IOS Zone-Based Firewall via 2911 routers.
I have 2 2911 beanch routers with bgp peering on a WAN links to reach the branch. On the LAN interface of the said Branch Routers are the LAN segments configured via subinterface command and running HSRP with the other branch router.
How would i implement Zone-Based Firewall with HA without having drops because of asymetric routing. Im sorry since the configuration guide that you have sent me as so many options and configurations that i tend to be confusing on which one is another option and which one is prt of the previous procedure. I hope you could help me with this one as i need to implement it within this week.
Thanks you very much and I'm sorry for bothering you.
    Thank you very much!

  • Cisco 1760 and E1 to VoIP Gateway

    Hello!
Recently we've developed a test VoIP network combined out of a verry differently branched devices. It's working quite well, excluding one part.
The problem occures when trying to call from a CCME Cisco IP phone registered in a gatekeeper to a MultiTechs Multivoip E1/VoIP gateway (which is connected to our PBX). In MvOIPs logs - I can focus Cisco Phone trying to connect using the correct codec, matching gateway prefix - BUT LEAVING NO IP ADDRESS OR H.323 ID. Mabey some ideas???
    Network is H.323 based.
    Thanks in advance.
    Michael

    Hi Micheal,
Can your PBX see the digits being passed to it?
    Thanks,
    Erik

I'd like to know if is it possible, and if there is a especific document in CISCO documentation explaining it.
    I have the following escenary:
    Inbound calls:
PSTN (ISDN)  --> CISCO 2901 --> Asterisk (SIP PBX)
    Outbound calls
         Asterisk(SIP PBX) --> CISCO 2901 --> PSTN (ISDN)
I have found some documents which explains how to configure a SIP Trunk with registration
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube_sipsip/configuration/xe-3s/asr1000/voi-sip-trunk-reg.html
And how to configure the VWIC3 module
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/interfaces/software/feature/guide/vd-t1e1_vwic3.html
I'm very new with CISCO and I don't know how to route calls from the module to the Ethernet interface, and if I need to do anything else.
    Thanks in advance!

For ISDN you need to configure your T1/E1, plenty of material and also references/examples on CSC, a quick search will provide some basic config
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmebasic.html
Search pri-group timeslots to get more examples.
Then you'll need to configure dial-peers for in/out calls, search cisco.com for dial-peer configuration and you'll get all the info you need on how to configure them.

  • Can I add VOIP Gateway SPA2100-SU to the DMZ of Router BEFSR41 Ver 4 ?

I am having multiple problems with dropped calls; need to reboot my LinkSys VOIP Gateway and so on, and my VOIP provider has suggested the following: "Add your Gateway (the physical device I guess) to the DMZ of your router." We are trying to tell the Router to give this VOIP Gateway, which gets its IP address via DHCP from the router, to essentially give this Gateway carte blanche to any port or destination it wants. I have NO idea how to do this on the BEFSR41, which is a CA model with Version 4 appended to its model number ? Can anyone send me how to advice ? - Mike BRYAN Ottawa Canada PM me for my email.

First thing is to assign a static IP on the WAN / Internet side of your SPA-2100 so that you can set that IP to the DMZ of the BEFSR41. If you are not sure how to assign a static IP address on the spa2100 or how to open the web interface of the spa2100 and befsr41, then you better refer to the KB articles from www.linksys.com/kb. Just type in something like spa2100 or befsr41.
By the way, you may also enable NAT mapping and NAT Keep alive in your spa2100 aside from opening / forwarding ports in the befsr41 (check out Answer ID 5242).  Lastly, enabling Send Resp To Src Port in the spa2100 is another option to try (this is under Voice > SIP > NAT Support Parameters).
It really requires much reading for us beginners to fully understand these devices. I am happy that I learned how to use the KBase site of Linksys since it gives me useful info about their products.

  • Supply Engaged tone to calls over Max Connection, with out VoIP Gateway

    Hi
I am tring to provide an engaged tone to calls that have exceeded the Max connections on a dial-peer statement, back to the PBX, without running VoIP Gateway.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

That should be the way it works:

If it's a PRI connection run debug isdn q931 to see what's being sent to the PBX. Not sure what you mean by 'without running voip gateway'

  • Skype connect & VoIP Gateway

    Hi,
Could you please any give me more information about VoIP gateway, and how to connect it with PBX and how to buy it and what is the price?
    Thanks,
    Mohamed ElDieb

    Hello ToshibaJoe,
If your PBX doesn’t support SIP check with your manufacturer to see whether a SIP gateway, module or upgrade is available for your existing PBX, that would enable you to use Skype Connect/SIP.
Also, it is highly recommended that a Skype Connect certified device is used, to gaurantee all features and functions work.  Following is a link to that lists all Skype Connect certified products:

Please let us know if you have further questions.

  • Cisco 3945E Maximum Throughput Potential

    Hi,
Am looking at purchasing a router that is capable of serving a WAN bearer at up to 1Gbps.  The 3945E has had good reviews as a high throughput router but the datasheets suggests performance of 350Mbps.  It also states that additional performance can be ensured by adding SPE modules.  Does anyone know whether the 3945E could achieve up to 1Gbps with SPE modules?
If the 3945E can't achieve such performance, I would appreciate alternative model suggestions.  The key features I am after are:
    IPV4 and IPV6 support
    L2tpV3 support
    BGP
    IP SLA
1Gb Copper Connections on-board with capability of at least 4 Ports
    Regards
    Mike

Have you looked at the new 4451-X ISR?
Supposedly the same pricing as the 3945E,  but with 1-2gpbs+ performance.
Also with very low impact when turning on features in comparision with the older ISR routers.
I saw a presentation about it on Cisco Live Virtual.
Edit: Sigh.. replying to a necro thread. :(
