Cisco Viewmail for Outlook 9.0.2

Hello all,
Im trying to install Viewmail 9.0.2 silently but having no joy.
We currently have version 8.5 and need to roll out Unity connection but so far this in not possible.
From what I can see is that I need to stop Outlook (which is fine with a script) then I need to run the install which will install the Pre-req's and install them too, soon after I need to install the XML answer file and the
failover .reg keys. I have created a .bat script (I am in no way a coder hence the question) to first close Outlook (vbs), run the install (setup.exe) and the run the post installation vbs that creates the install key and the xml file, finally it opens
outlook which the completes the wizard.
Now this works fine with a user who is a local admin, but when the .bat script is run as a normal user, it fails at completing the whole xml file.. It seems like a permission issue despite running the .bat as admin in sccm.
Does anybody know what what the issue is and if there is a better way to do this?
Just to recap I need to close Outlook, run the install and the create the xml file and add the reg key (this part i know works)
Many thanks in advance all

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up.
This is not a CM07 issue, this question should be posted to the cisco forum and they should be able to help you with this answer.

  • Viewmail for Outlook and MWI

    I'm having weird problems with VMO (8.5.7.28).  If I receive a voicemail and then forward it to an Exchange user with a voicemail account, then MWI goes on (as expected).  But if I create a voicemail using Viewmail and then send it to an Exchange user with a voicemail account, that doesn't generate an MWI.  I can listen to the message via the phone, it is listed as a new message with attachment, but somehow that is not a voice message?  It plays the attachment too, so I just need it to show as a new vmail message so the light appears.  Any ideas?

    Hello Brad,
    Thanks to your post I avoid a big problem with my migration plan and the confidence the customer has to me.
    Indeed, the documents are still not updated:
    - the release notes of VMO 8.6(6) points to the same documents (unity connection/unity compatibility matrix):
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/vmo/release/notes/866cucvmorn.html#wp39564
    - the compatibility matrix of VMO for unity connection lists VMO 8.6(x) as supported for Outlook 2003 to 2010:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/compatibility/matrix/cucclientmtx.html#wp102047
    This  is confusing because at first I understand that the plugin was globally  compatible with Outlook versions. It should be mentioned as note that  this is not the same when used with Unity.
    I  am in a different situation than Steve. They run Outlook 2003, Unity  8.0 and VMO 8.0. We cannot upgrade to VMO8.5+ because they want to keep  outlook 2003 for a while and it's not compatible. And if we upgrade to  unity connection 8.6, we will have to use VMO8.6(6) to keep the SSO  possibility. So basically, we have to upgrade the servers and deploy VMO  8.6 in a single step.
    This is a big big constraint when we have to deploy more than 800 workstations!
    Do you see another solution?
    Thank you for your help.

  • Viewmail for outlook, on office 2010 Freezes and becomes unresponsive

    I have a user that is running outlook 2010 on a 64bit windows 7 machine. We have the Japanese language pack installed for him to use. When the Viewmail add-in is enabled on his machine, Outlook freezes and becomes mostly unresponsive. as an example, if one were to click on a drop down menu, it would take 20 to 30 seconds to open up. Then the menu would be available, but to select a command, it would take several seconds to click on a choice, then several for the command to actually execute.
    When the add-in is disabled, everything works as expected.
    This is a new windows machine for him as we are rolling out 7 now to our users and he has had this problem almost from the beginning. We had 8.6.4.7 installed in the 7 image, and once I was able to determine this was the actual cause of Outlooks really poor performance(did this by opening outlook in safe mode, disabling all of the add ins, then enable them one at a time until I saw it freeze when Viewmail was enabled, be it by itself or with any combination of other add-ins), I uninstalled it, reinstalled it. Repaired it. Repaired the Office installation all ended with no change.
    Then I upgraded him this morning to 9.0.2.1 because some of the information I found on similar issues reported that it corrected this problem, but alas, no luck. Outlook still freezes and is pretty much useless for him if the Viewmail add-in is enabled.
    The only difference I have found is that we have him set up with the Japanese language pack so he can work in his native language. At this time we also have 2 other users that have similar setups and so far they have reported no problems.
    His previous XP machine, was a 32 bit, office 2003 setup, with the Japanese language pack also installed and everything played well together then.
    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
    thanks

    My brother-in-law is having the exact same issue. Here are 2 links that might help that I just found. I haven't suggested that he do these yet as it's only happened once, but if it continues, we will try it.
    Here are the links.
    This one kind of explains it: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20070215132805440
    And these are the official Apple instructions: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303319
    As noted by OSXHints, only use this as a last resort.
    Good luck and let us know how it goes.

  • Viewmail crashing Outlook 2010

    I am working with a customer that is using the Viewmail pluggin for Outlook with their Unity Connection system. We are seeing the viewmail pluggin crash after a day or two once it is installed. We have tried removing the pluggin, repairing office, and then reinstalling the pluggin without success. We are using Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 (32-bit) SP1 machines. We ae using Unity Connection 8.6(2a) along with Webview 8.6(7). Attached are the error messages we are getting.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hello Michael,
    1.Does the issue happen when you close outlook, open outlook or just random?
    2.If you disable any type of remainder including the calendar, do you still
    get the error when opening Outlook? This is to rule out the fact that by having any type of remainders enabled
    could pop-up the exception.
    3. Is there any additional add-in installed in Outlook?  It has been seen to fail randomly with other Third Party add-ins for example ClickToCall
    If this is the case i would recommend to test VMO without any additional add-ins for a couple of days.

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows - Anti-Virus Software

    Hello,
    Cisco Jabber for Windows could not resolve outlook contacts, when a client has installed McAffee Anti-Virus Software.
    Is there any documentation available, how to setup a Anti-Virus Software, to get Cisco Jabber for Windows running?
    Cisco Jabber for Windows Version 9.2.4 Build 4528
    Outlook 2013
    Thanks
    Alex

    this is all what we mention about antivirus;  http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Windows/9_2/JABW_BK_J6915A59_00_jabber-windows-server-setup/JABW_BK_J6915A59_00_jabber-windows-server-setup_chapter_00.html
    Some antivirus or firewall applications, such as Symantec EndPoint Protection, block inbound CDP packets, which disables desk phone video capabilities. You should configure your antivirus or firewall application to allow inbound CDP packets. See the following Symantec technical document for additional details about this issue: Cisco IP Phone version 7970 and Cisco Unified Video Advantage is Blocked by Network Threat Protection.
    with that being said; we probably would like to get the jabber process excluded from the antivirus list so that it allows for inbound MAPI communication as that is what is used for quering for the outlook contact.
    The only process that ever runs from Jabber for windows is "CiscoJabber.exe" which is located in the following path:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco Jabber
    i hope this helps.

  • Installer "RightFax Form for Outlook"

    Dear,
    I am doing the configuration of the "Cisco Fax Server Version 9.4". I've done the downlad the installers of Cisco's website (because the CD was lost), install and configure the modules and the CUCM (7.1.5.31900-3), but do not know where to find the installer "RightFax Form for Outlook", which contains "RightFax client installation".
    I did not find this application on the Internet or Cisco.
    So how could I get this installer?
    Thanks for the help.
    Patrick
    ps: I'm using Outlook 2007

    Hello Pouyan,
    You can develop an add-in for employee with an Outlook form region. There is no need to publish a customized form. You can store values in user defined fields which you may parse on the manager's side later. See
    Creating Outlook Form Regions in MSDN for more information.
    Then you can develop a VBA macro or an add-in for the manager to collect the data from the incoming emails. You can customize the Explorer window adding a window like you did with inspectors to display the information. But in that case there is no trivial
    way to get the job done. You need to use Windows API functions. See
    Adjacent Windows In Outlook and
    Creating Adjacent Windows In Outlook sample project. I have also found the
    Additional custom panel in Microsoft Outlook article for you. As an alternative you may consider using third-party tools like Add-in Express. It allows to add custom forms to the Explorer windows in Outlook.
    The second way is to show a web page for the folder where you can display the data you need. See
    How to programmatically create an Outlook home folder page in the Outlook Today style .
    The third way is to use Solutions Module to get the data displayed. See
    Programming the Outlook 2010 Solutions Module for more information.
    Finally, it can be a single add-in installer or two separate add-ins (for managers and clients).

  • Viewmail for lotus notes - Issue with installation

    Hello there,
    We just did an upgrade from an older version of unity and call manager (4 to 9)
    There unity was tied to lotus notes.
    We are having an issues configuring the Viewmail for lotus notes client.
    we are using the following installation guide
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/vmn/release/notes/851cucvmnrn.html
    on theCreating a ViewMail for Notes Account in Notes section
    step 2 (we are using notes 8.5)
    it says from the file menu select open then lotus notes application then Install VMN
    that menu option is not there at all.  Please help
    we have a menu under file then application.  however there is not Install VMN option
    we are on connection 9.1.1a however the issue seems to be with the client not matching up on the install instructions
    thanks

    Please check the below docs . Looks like the EOL for IBM lotus with cisco UC has
    ended a long time back.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6789/ps9830/end_of_life_notice_c51-546834.html
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/prod_category_end_of_life.html
    The above is the reason why you probably do not see the install VMN option.
    Hope that helps!

  • IronPort PlugIn for Outlook .enc files?

    We have started to roll out the IronPort plugin for Outlook for both Encryption and SPAM reporting.  On the SPAM reporting side I do see the e-mails that are getting reported but the e-mails are formatted differently.   I am guessing that the original e-mail being reported is now in the .enc attachment?  Is there any way that I can view these so that I can see what kind of e-mail is being reported by my users?  In the past I would check in on this from time to time and see if there were any mass e-mails that were getting through that I needed to create a custom filter for, now with these .enc files I'm not sure I can do that anymore.
    I'll post one of the .enc files here in a bit.
    Jason

    So I can confirm that the new 7.4 Outlook plugin, feature does work to submit spam/phish/virus as plaintext. Basically you just need to set (ignore the attachment name option):
    <report>
            <format>plain</format>
            <subject>Cisco Email Security Plug-in Report (${reportType})</subject>
     </report>
    Also for those upgrading to 7.4, be sure to manually upgrade yourself first, and set all your configurations using the BCE_config file first. Then follow the admin document for deploying the config file mass. The 7.3 and older config files will not work with the new plugin.
    This configuration is only recommended if you will be checking report submissions or using some form of Phishing education solution and want to exclude these e-mails from actual submission. Here is a good outline how I implemented it. If anyone is interested I can probably do a quick video demonstration while it's all fresh in my mind and post it here.
    1. Create one or more Quarantines (either on your central SMA or individual ESA/Ironport):
        Example: Reported_TestPhish (delete after a period of time), Reported_Spam, Reported_Phish, Reported_Virus, Reported_Ham, Microsoft_Junk
    2. create a Outgoing Mail filter that matches a header in your Test Emails so you can capturing them.
        Example Match Content in Attachment: X-TEST(replace with your header) and if you use the Microsoft Report Junk Plugin, you should also use the condition to match the same text inside the mail body. Then point the action to Quarantine to your Report_TestPhish where after a period of time it will be deleted. I choose to use Quarantines rather then sending e-mails via notifications, but you could do this as well, for example if your Email Education provider can use the e-mail to track which employees reported the test e-mails for you.
    3. Create individual Outgoing filters using the recipient email address to dump it into the right Quarantine. This will allow you to to not only Quarantine and view the messages, but also will add to your reporting. You can choose to use fewer Quarantines and filters to bundle together to fit your requirements.
    4. Rather then adding these filters to your default policy, I suggest creating a new Outgoing Mail Policy called Report_Email (using the recipient email addresses). I then disable some of the policies such as DLP, A/V, and so on as needed and only apply the new filters we just created.
    Hope this was useful for someone out there.

  • Need some help understanding plugin for Outlook

    Testing out the 7.3 plugin for Outlook. I am not clear on how the flagging of spam/not spam etc. works. We have local IronPort devices. We are not cloud based. When a user flags a message as spam in the Inbox, the Admin Guide says Cisco updates the anti-spam filters so the user will not receive emails like this in the future. Not clear how this works. I understand the email is getting submitted to Cisco for analysis but how do they update spam filters for just that one user? I can understand if we were using a cloud device but as I said we have local hardware. Need to understand this process and the Admin Guide falls short of explaining it.

    Reporting spam/phish from Outlook via the plug-in only does that.  It is packaging up the message and sending the message example off to our @access.ironport.com address for submission from that end-user.  The plug-in itself is not actually doing any work to update the anti-spam on your appliance.  These submissions are a work by themselves that is submitted and then reviewed from the rules writing process.  In time, these submissions are scored, updated, and then written into the current IPAS (IronPort Anti-Spam) rules sets that are published back out to the ESA(s) themselves.  So - as long as your ESA is set to get updates (by default, each 5 minutes), then you will get the updated rules --- and these rules are for everyone globally.
    Hope that helps!  If not - let me know.
    -Robert

  • Hi Team, I wuold like to know if you have any app to make Firefox OS working with cisco Call Manager 10.5. Something like Cisco Jabber for Android or iOS.

    I'm interesting on buying a Firefox Smart Phone, but
    I would like to know if are any app to install on Firefox OS smart phone in order to work with cisco call manager 10.5.
    Something like Cisco Jabber for Android o iOS.
    Thanks,

    Hi Itech,
    If Cisco Jabber has a webapp, or mobile version of their website available, you should technically be able to access it through Firefox OS.
    You may also search Firefox Marketplace for an alternative solution:

  • How do I leverage a custom theme for Outlook 2013?

    Microsoft has a problem. They use the term "theme" in Office in 2 different ways: 1) the 3 background colors you can choose of the Office applications and 2) a collection of colors, fonts, and layout that can be customized and defined by the user
    for the applications.
    I know how to create a theme in PowerPoint and save it as a default for all new presentations. Allegedly you can you this across Office applications but this is where it breaks down (as far as my user experience goes).
    I've created a theme in PowerPoint. It has my custom colors. I want to use that same collection in Outlook.
    I can apply it on a email by email basis (Options menu for an email), but I want the default email (new or reply) to use that custom theme. I see my theme in the drop down menu under a heading of Custom, but there isn't a way to set it as default
    (behavior differs from PowerPoint here).
    So I look under the Outlook File menu, then Options and select Mail. You can change stationary, but the custom theme isn't an option there.
    Then there is Styles under the Format Text menu when in a new email. There are color options and font options, but again, no way to leverage the work I did in creating the custom theme.
    Searching on customizing themes for Outlook only gets me answers on the first use of the word theme, not the latter.
    Is there no way to you the theme I created for Outlook 2013?

    Its very simple - if you want a product that remains consistent and does not change its layout every few years, that is fully customizable, and will remain being supported by subsequent operating systems, then get an open source product running in an open
    source OS. It seems that you can no longer rely on MS to provide consistency, stability, or support for their own products.
    When will MS realise that customer familiarity with their products is their intellectual property, like branding, which you would never trash every five years. Imagine that MS wanted to change their name to a new company name, or their Outlook brand to Inlook
    - it would never happen. So why is thee trade getup and arrangement changing so often and against what their customers want? Is it to justify thee new products? Maybe with cloud and 365, they will finally be happy and stop mucking about with what works (after
    they change everything back to '95 /XP format?).

  • Cisco Jabber for Mac - Directory Lookup and Contact Fields

    Hello,
    After having issues myself with Cisco Jabber for Mac 9.2 specifically with Active Directory lookups not working, or contact information not populating (and therefore not being able to call users from the contact list as no telephone information exists) I am including a sample jabber-config.xml file that works for me.
    Please note: there are many different ways to configure this. What I will be showing is the method that works for me and my deployment, which is pretty standard.
    As always and as a disclaimer, once again, this is what has worked for my deployment scenario. Always keep backups of your configuration files, and always be mindful of anything you have configured already, especially in the jabber-config.xml file.
    Background
    My deployment is based on CUCM 9, with 1 publisher and 2 subscribers. I also have a CUCM IM & Presence 9.0 server. This assumes that you have already configured your deployment and Jabber is functioning already, albeit with the aforementioned issues.
    As for Active Directory, my deployment will be based on Windows 2008 R2 Domain Controllers running in native 2008 mode. For this example, we will be searching directly against one of the DCs with a Global Catalogue role. Please be aware that in large deployments you will have to plan accordingly with regards to lookup traffic from Jabber clients to the DCs.
    Also, as of Cisco Jabber for Mac 9, the client no longer can search via the CUCM internal directory (which may be made of local end users, Active Directory synced users, or a mix of both) and this must be done via a LDAP mechanism.
    Scenario
    In this deployment scenario, Cisco Jabber for Windows is working properly - you can search and add people from Active Directory, and contacts in your contact list have all the appropriate fields populated from Active Directory. However, when trying the same with Jabber for Mac, Jabber for iPhone or Jabber for iPad you notice that you cannot perform a directory lookup, and if you add people directly (for example, [email protected]) the user only has the IM field populated. No telephone, email or additional information is displayed.
    Solution
    Whereas Cisco Jabber for Windows uses the EDI mechanism (native Windows), whereby when running from a computer that is on the domain (or in the event that you are search for contacts in another Active Directory domain where a domain trust exists) , Jabber for Mac / iPhone / iPad uses the BDI mechanism.
    In this case, you will need to provision a jabber-config.xml file that you will upload to your TFTP server (or Publisher) that will be "downloaded" by your Jabber for Mac client and also used by the iPhone and iPad client. You can configure many options in the jabber-config.xml file, but for this example we will place just the information that we need to order for these clients to request and display Active Directory information.
    Please note that the configuration may vary depending on your deployment, but at the very least we will be:
    - Configuring a DC where we will perform the lookup.
    - Configure credentials that will be used to perform the lookup. This will be an Active Directory account that has read rights on the Active Directory domain. Please note that these credentials are saved in plain text in the file, so ensure that the account that you will be using is not privileged.
    - Configure the server port that we will be using to perform the lookup.
    - Configure the Search Base. This is basically where we want the directory lookup to happen. You can either choose for this lookup to start at the "base" of the domain (and therefore the search will iterate through all the user accounts and and OUs below the root base) or define a specific OU where you want to search.
    Caution!
    - There is a current limitation with Cisco Jabber for Mac whereby you can only have 1 search base configured. Please keep this in mind if, like me, you have multiple OUs (like an OU for each company in your organization) and under these OUs you have sub OUs as a user account container.
    - If using the top level search base, unless you specify a filter, you will potentially be able to search for all user accounts in the domain. You will need to configure the <BDIBaseFilter> parameter if you want to fine tune your search ability.
    Steps
    These are the steps I have followed. Other steps or considerations may vary.
    - Log in to your TFTP server and download the jabber-config.xml file and keep it as a backup. If you are already using the jabber-config.xml file for other purposes, do not worry - you can add your BDI information parameters inside.
    - Remove the jabber-config.xml file
    - Edit the jabber-config.xml file and configure thus:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <config version="1.0">
        <Directory>
            <DirectoryServerType>BDI</DirectoryServerType>
            <BDILDAPServerType>AD</BDILDAPServerType>
            <BDIPrimaryServerName>DOMAIN CONTROLLER IP ADDRESS</BDIPrimaryServerName>
            <BDIPresenceDomain>YOUR PRESENCE DOMAIN</BDIPresenceDomain>
            <BDIServerPort1>3268</BDIServerPort1>
            <BDISearchBase1>YOUR SEARCH BASE</BDISearchBase1>
            <BDIConnectionUsername>[email protected]</BDIConnectionUsername>
            <BDIConnectionPassword>PASSWORD</BDIConnectionPassword>
            <BDIEnableTLS>0</BDIEnableTLS>
        </Directory>
    </config>
    For example, let´s assume the following:
    - Domain controller IP address is 10.1.1.2 .
    - Your presence domain is test.local .
    - Your search base will be test.local using the top level of the domain.
    - Your username with which you will be doing your searches is called walt . Usually you can either identify walt as test.local\walt or [email protected] . It is always best, in these sort of scenarios, to use the UPN convention so we will be configuring a [email protected] .
    - The password is the Active Directory password for the account walt .
    - I have disabled TLS in my case. There are issues with the Jabber for Mac client when using other security methods.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <config version="1.0">
        <Directory>
            <DirectoryServerType>BDI</DirectoryServerType>
            <BDILDAPServerType>AD</BDILDAPServerType>
            <BDIPrimaryServerName>10.1.1.2</BDIPrimaryServerName>
            <BDIPresenceDomain>test.local</BDIPresenceDomain>
            <BDIServerPort1>3268</BDIServerPort1>
            <BDISearchBase1>DC=test,DC=local</BDISearchBase1>

    One you have configured the jabber-config.xml file, you will now need to upload it to you TFTP server. Once uploaded, you will need to restart the Cisco TFTP service. Again, my TFTP server is on my CUCM publisher, so:
    - I go to Cisco Unified OS Administration on my Publisher server, TFTP File Management and I upload jabber-config.xml to / directory
    - I then go to Cisco Unified Serviceability on my Publisher server, I locate the Cisco TFTP service and I restart the service
    Once this is done, you can figure up your Jabber for Mac client. As a test, on your Mac (using Terminal) go to:
    /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Cisco/Unified Communications/Jabber/Config
    In here you will see several files, but what we want to see is jabber-config.xml . As soon as you start the Jabber for Mac client and log in, the jabber-config.xml file will download from your TFTP server and get saved here. When you see it appear, just type in your terminal window more jabber-config.xml and make sure that the output is the same as the xml file you created.
    From there, try doing directory search. If you have previously added contacts and they still lack attribute information, you will need to remove them (sometimes it will not refresh properly) and add them again from the directory.
    I will be updating this guide and ammending anything that is incorrect, but this is meant to be a quick checklist and steps to get this, at least in the most very basic version, up and running for Jabber for Mac.

    Hello,
    Thanks for this post! It works, I can do lookup and also I can add found contact to contact list and get information about contact from LDAP.
    One more question: - I can't get all information about contact. I don't get e.c mobile phone number and more others attributes. I have tried to expand your file as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <config version="1.0">
        <Directory>
            <DirectoryServerType>BDI</DirectoryServerType>

            <BDISearchBase1> Search Base</BDISearchBase1>
            <BDIConnectionUsername>User</BDIConnectionUsername>
            <BDIConnectionPassword>Password</BDIConnectionPassword>
            <BDIEnableTLS>0</BDIEnableTLS>
            <BDISipUri>msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress</BDISipUri>
            <BDIPhotoSource>thumbnailPhoto</BDIPhotoSource>
            <BDIBusinessPhone>telephoneNumber</BDIBusinessPhone>
            <BDIMobilePhone>mobile</BDIMobilePhone>
            <BDIHomePhone>homePhone</BDIHomePhone>
            <BDIOtherPhone>otherTelephone</BDIOtherPhone>
            <BDITitle>title</BDITitle>
            <BDICompanyName>company</BDICompanyName>
            <BDILocation>co</BDILocation>
            <BDIPostalCode>postalCode</BDIPostalCode>
            <BDICity>l</BDICity>
            <BDIState>st</BDIState>
            <BDIStreetAddress>streetAddress</BDIStreetAddress>
        </Directory>
    </config>
    But it didn't help.
    When I capture lookup via Wireshark, I can see that Jabbers sends search request with bunch of attributes, but from LDAP answer contains only 8 attributes. (see attached screenshots)

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows Voicemail issue

    At this I'm in processing of implementation Cisco Jabber UC solution for big Company.
    I use CUCM 9.1.2, Cisco IM and Presence 9.1.2, CUC 9.1.2, Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.6.1.
    I have issue in Cisco Jabber with VoiceMail Integration - when I leave voice message for any user,
    than this message is arrived only him Cisco IP Phone, but not in him Cisco Jabber.
    From Cisco Jabber Connectivity status in help menu I see that VoiceMail service is successfully connected
    and I see VoiceMail button in Cisco Jabber.
    How can I resolve this issue?

    Have you configured the UC Service profile on CUCM with both Voicemail server and mailbox servers?

  • Call/video not working between Cisco jabber for Windows and VCS control C40s

    Hello,
    I've been struggling with no luck how to make a call using Cisco Jabber for Windows 9.6.0 registered to CM 8.6.2 with intercluster ICT to another CM 8.6.2 where we have a VCS Control 7.0.2 via GK H225, and all C40s are registered as H.323.
    The VCS has interworking between H323 and SIP, however not sure if there is any problem with that. Assuming it is ok, not sure either if I'm facing any interoperability issue because in my remote site I have C40 (H323 registered at VCS and SIP listening mode) and cisco jabber for windows which is SIP based.
    If is not possible, would I be able to change my C40 from H323 to SIP at VCS, or have both H323/SIP registered at VCS? If so, will I need to change as well instead of GK I'll have to establish a SIP Trunk between the CM and VCS?
    Another thing I do not believe either I would be able to have one VCS connected with two clusters, right?
    I'm just trying to find a solution in case my current topology is not compatible, but feel free if you have any better idea to make it work.
    Anyway here is what is happening:
    When I make a call from my cisco jabber windows to C40 using alias number. The call is being redirected just fine to the C40 and it rings, however when someoene or the auto answer picks it up, the call dropped right away.
    However, if I enabled the MTP in my CSF device, the call gets longer before dropping. I was even able to see my jabber " start video" turns green, before was grayed out all the time and the call dropped faster. I hear a fast busy tone.
    I'm able to provide SDI traces, logs, diagnostic sip/h323 calls from VCS in order to know for sure if this is an incompatible issue or something I can workaround.
    Let me know if someone of you are interested in read these logs or could point me on the right direction.
    Thanks!

    Ok,
    I have looked at both logs. I have to mentinon though that you didnt
    provide the log that shows the h323 setup between cucm and the VCS. This
    is  most likely because the call originated from a different cucm than
    the ones you provided the logs from.
    The call would have orginated from the first cucm in the cucm group of
    this trunk: Name=RL_TRUNK_VIDEO
    The cucm ip will be : 10.252.53.10.
    This is the VCS log that confirms where the h323 request originated
