Class conversion error

Hi Friends,
I'm new to Java card technology. I set the environment variable and the remaining properly. I'm using Windows XP platform And using Java 1.4 and Java card 2.1.2. When I run "build_samples.bat" after compiling the Java file successfully, when It tries to convert the class file into JCA or CAP it says an error "unsupported class file format of version 46.0". I don't what it means and how to rectify that?
Thank you for helping me.

Use JDK 1.3 as stated in the Java Card Kit or use something like the options -target 1.1 -source 1.3 with the compiler.

  • DataAccessException Type conversion error complex type class

    Hello,
    We meet some trouble randomly wrbtr field, we have suspected the jco cache, but after a reboot the problem still occurs.
    We currently use this field on others webdynpro applications.
    While execute the message displays :
    DataAccessException : Type conversion error, field wrbtr complex type class dop.model.Zst_Pp_liste
    We have a Z customize structure, which contains a zone "WAERS", used as reference field for wrbtr
    Anyone has an idea to look for ?

    Are you sure you have posted this question in the correct forum?  I don't see how this is Web Dynpro ABAP related. You refer to JCo cache and Java style class names.  I think perhaps you actually should have posted this question in the Web Dynpro Java forum?

  • How to custom a conversion error in JSF page in JDeveloper

    According to the book "Core JavaServer Faces" p213 (fifth edition), if I add the following line to messages.properties file, and specifiy it in the faces-config.xml and .jsp file, then the displayed conversion error message should be my tailored one instead of the default. However, I still get the default error message. Besides, I didn't find "CONVERSION" variable in UIInput class. Is the book wrong? And what's the correct way?
    javax.faces.component.UIInput.CONVERSION=Please correct your input

    I didn't choose any special in JDeveloper IDE. I just selected "new" to create a file called "message.properties" and put the line there. I didn't specify converters excepts declaring the type in the Jave Beans. I guess the converting is done by the JSF framework automatically. It must be a JSF converter since I created the page as a JSF page.

  • Conversion error in write access to a property

    Hello,
    in JSF I get a conversion error when I try to save an order.
    An order object has a from- and a to-address.
    To avoid duplicate coding I encapsulated the address data in a class Address.
    public class Order implements Serializable{
      private Address fromAddress;
      private Address toAddress;
      //Getter/Setter for addresses are implemented
    public class Address implements Serializable{
      private String city;
      private String country;
      private String remark;
      //Getter/Setter for all fields are implemented
    }Reading the address data works without problems.
    Writing (saving an order) does not work. For each property of Address a conversion error is thrown.
    The access is like
    <t:inputText value="#{orderBean.order.address.country}" .../>
    Principally it is possible to access the address properties because reading works.
    What is going wrong when writing?
    And how could I find out more details about the conversion errors occurred?
    Any hints appreciated

    Hello,
    I'm afraid these are the fileds causing the errors.
    Here is an excerpt from the JSP.

  • Conversion error in checkboxgroup component.....

    hi
    i have a checkboxgroup component. first time when i go this particular page no validation error occurs. but when i go to a different page and return back conversion error occurs in that component.
    getSubmittedValue() method for that component returns some value when error occurs.
    can anyone give some suggestions to resolve the error. or suggestions on the value to be converted for checkboxgroup

    the actual code is
    <cg:checkboxGroup binding="#{view$UsersSMSReport.action_chkbxgrp}" columns="1" id="action_chkbxgrp" style="width: 100%;"/>
    <cg:message binding="#{view$UsersSMSReport.action_msg}" for="action_chkbxgrp" id="action_msg"/>
    where cg is the our own tag discriptor file
    we use jsp-api.jar and jstl.jar for customization of components.
    the taglib file for this tag refers to class
    CGCheckboxGroupTag extends UIComponentTag
    the setProperties method in above class contains code for convertor
    if(converter != null)
    if(isValueReference(converter))
    javax.faces.el.ValueBinding _vb = getFacesContext().getApplication().createValueBinding(converter);
    component.setValueBinding("converter", vb);
    } else
    javax.faces.convert.Converter _converter = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getApplication().createConverter(converter);
    component.getAttributes().put("converter", converter);
    the design time class for this component is
    CGCheckboxGroupBeanInfoBase extends SimpleBeanInfo
    they are compiled into a tld file and added as complib file in project
    the same component sometimes i get conversion error in validation phase and sometimes i get error in page displaying
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    ClassName:com.sun.rave.web.ui.util.ConversionUtilities
    FileName ConversionUtilities.java
    MethodName: convertValueToArray

  • SelectOneMenu inside h:dataTable gives conversion error

    Hi guys,
    I'm enduring quite alot of misery attempting to put selectOneMenu UI components in my h:dataTable. Due to the 30000 character restriction, I can only submit my view and backing bean and DTO and the converter (even though the total characters of my files is only 26,583? [cat * | wc -c]). Perhaps you can figure out a way I can send me all my files and you'll be able to test it much easier.
    The jist of the problem is that I get a conversion error between the selectOneMenu and the backing DTO of the <h:dataTable>. After I define a converter I get a ClassCastException.
    My BIGGEST question is "Why do I even need a converter?", the selectItem(s)/options are hardcoded label/value Strings and so is the the property of the dataTable row's backing DTO!!!
    Here's the files, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    P.S. I'm running JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
    Thanks.

  • Numeric or value error: hex to raw conversion error , pls help

    I am having problem with a sproc which accepts a Raw parameter.
    I have a table called Profile:
    CREATE TABLE PROFILES
    PROFILEID INTEGER NOT NULL,
    USERID INTEGER NOT NULL,
    PROFILE RAW(255)
    and a sproc named addprofile
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE addprofile
    profile IN RAW,
    userName IN VARCHAR2
    AS
    userId INT;
    BEGIN
    GetUserIdByName( userName, userId);
    INSERT INTO Profiles
    ( ProfileID,userId , profile )
    VALUES ( Profiles_ProfileID_SEQ.NEXTVAL,AddProfile.userId ,
    AddProfile.profile );
    END;
    I am calling the Ent Library's Insert profile method which is part of DbProfileProvider.cs (Security App block). It is trying to persist a serialized profile object into the database.
    private void InsertProfile(string userName, byte[] serializedProfile,
    Data.Database securityDb, IDbTransaction transaction)
    DBCommandWrapper cmd = securityDb.GetStoredProcCommandWrapper
    (SPAddProfile);
    cmd.AddInParameter("userName", DbType.String, userName);
    cmd.AddInParameter("profile", DbType.Binary, serializedProfile);
    securityDb.ExecuteNonQuery(cmd, transaction);
    I get the following error:
    Any suggestion on what needs to be changed to get this working? thanks!

    Harsh,
    I am not a user of the Enterprise Library so I can not speak to the specifics of that. However, here is a short sample that is based on the information you've provided. Perhaps it will be useful.
    Database:
    create table profiles
      profileid integer not null,
      userid    integer not null,
      profile   raw(255)
    create or replace procedure addprofile
      p_profileid in integer,
      p_userid    in integer,
      p_profile   in raw
    as
    begin
      insert into
        profiles (profileid, userid, profile)
        values (p_profileid, p_userid, p_profile);
    end;

    Hi

    Earlier, I had a drop down list that was working perfectly fine.
    But its values came from a Helper class and not the DB.
    What is it that Iam missing or doing wrong?
    Please help me.
    Thanks.

    Based on your example on the link that you referred to I tried to do this
    fillSelectItems();
    as the initialization block (I read what it means)
    changed my getter method to
    public List<SelectItem> getExistingOwners() { return existingOwners; }
    private void fillSelectItems() {
    this.existingOwners = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();
    try{
         existingOwners.clear();
         List test = this.getOwners();
         SelectItem[] myitem = new SelectItem[test.size()];
         for(int i=0;i<test.size();i++) {
         Object[] arrayOne = (Object[])test.get(i);
    try{
         SelectItem tmp = new SelectItem();
         tmp.setLabel(arrayOne[0].toString()+(String)arrayOne[1]);
         tmp.setValue((Integer)arrayOne[0]);
         myitem[i] = tmp;
    this.existingOwners.add(myitem);
    }catch(Exception e){
              logger.debug(e.getCause());
              e.printStackTrace();
         }catch(Exception e){
              logger.debug(e.getCause());
              e.printStackTrace();
    Basically, I moved what I had earlier in getter method I have it now in the fillSelectItems()
    Butthen, I get a NullPointerException.

  • Debug weblogic.properties conversion error

    All,
    I'm attempting to use the web console application/Convert weblogic.properties link to perform a propterties file conversion.
    I'm getting a conversion error when converting our current weblogic.properties file. This properties file is working fine in WL5.1. The web console begins the conversion process ok, but it fails before completion (html err msg below).
    I'm trying to determine the cause of this error, but there's very little output reported to the console, except a couple of warnings. Also, I don't see any log files.
    I do get what looks like some partial conversion results in my new domain directory in fileRealm.properties. There are recognizable properties from the converted weblogic.properties file in here.
    Has anyone encountered/surmounted similiar difficulty? Any debugging tips would be appreciated. TIA.

  • SAXParseException: character conversion error: Illegal character 0x9A...

    This is my problem:
    I use JDom to parse remote XML document with DTD linked to it. But I get that error. Request is:
    SAXBuilder builder = new SAXBuilder();
    Document doc = builder.build(new URL(url));
    This works fine when I use these XML and DTD docs locally, which means that I give xml file name as a parameter from console. Then everything goes well. But when I move my program to server and try to run it there, SAXParseException is thrown. Why???
    Error is:
    error on line 1 of document "http://server.net/doc.dtd" Character conversion error: Illegal ASCII character 0x9A (line number may be too low)
    What this means? And why this just happens when I run program in server? Help, please

  • Conversion error with non-primitive types

    I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this problem or has a potential solution.
    The problem, in a nutshell:
    I have beans that use non-primitive types (Float instead of float) in the getters and setters. However I keep getting conversion error problems. If I switch to primitive types, I don't get conversion errors. The built-in FloatConverter says (in the documentation at least) that it supports both primitives and boxed types. This was all working in EA4, though. I am discovering this problem as I migrate from EA4 to 1.0.
    The code is pretty straightforward:
    public class Bean implements Serializable {
    public float getProp() {...}
    public void setProp(float) {...}
    public Float getPropOld() {...}
    public void setPropOld(Float) {...}
    <!-- works -->
    <h:inputText id="floatinput" value="#{BeanInstance.prop}"/>
    <!-- doesn't work -->
    <h:inputText id="floatinputold" value="#{BeanInstance.propOld}"/>
    Any ideas? I have tried explicitly calling the FloatConverter but that gave the same problems.

    Okay, I figured out my problem.
    The JSF spec implies that f:convertNumber may be used inside an h:inputText tag. The early versions of Core JSF go further and show f:convertNumber being used inside an h:inputText tag in one of the examples. (Chapter 7, conversions).
    However, this has been the source of my problem. When using f:convertNumber, the converter would automatically determine the data type without regard to the data type in the backing bean. Hence, it would try to pass Longs or Doubles to the bean instead of Floats.
    I believe this may be an issue in the 1.0 FR release.

  • Conversion Error: I/O error while communicating with native process

    Hi,
    I am trying to use Oracle Outside In Technology Image Export for conversion of images. I am trying to run the example ExportTest that comes with the downloaded SDK.
    I get the below error while running the ExportTest example.
    Conversion Error: I/O error while communicating with native process .
    Am I missing any settings?
    Please guide to the right forum if this is not the one for posting queries on Oracle Outside In Technology Image Export.
    Thank you.

    Hi Revanth,
    I am using Image Export 8.3.7 and I am trying to run the java class "ExportTest" that is in the location sdk\samplecode\ExJava\Examples\ExportTest\src of the download.
    My input folder has one jpg - puzzle.jpg (this is just a simple jpg), I am trying to convert it to TIFF. ExportTest.java uses the classes in Export.jar . Export.jar is located in the sdk\samplecode\ExJava\Examples\ExportTest . You can see source files of the Export.jar at location sdk\samplecode\ExJava\Java API\src of the download. I am running the 'ExportTest' by providing the arguments (input folder, output folder and ix.cfg - this file comes with the download). So now when I run this class I was getting the error I mentioned in this post. Inorder to find more details about the error I modified the 'Export.java' (at sdk\samplecode\ExJava\Java API\src\com\outsideinsdk) just to printStackTrace when the exception occurs and rebuilt the 'Export.jar' and ran the 'ExportTest.java'.
    And below is the stack trace that I got :
