Class not found: C:\Orcl\OracleXSU\lib\xmlparser.jar;

Hi,
I am testing out the XML functionality within Oracle 8i. I
downloaded XML SQL Utilities, modified the .bat files and run
it. The env.bat file ran fine, however, the oraclexmlsql.bat
file keeps giving me the message error:
"C:\ORCL\OracleXSU\lib>loadjava -resolve -verbose -
user "system/manager" xmlparse
r.jar
Class not found: C:\Orcl\OracleXSU\lib\xmlparser.jar;"
I added the xmlparser.jar in the classpath already.
I am running Oracle 8i, JDK 1.1.8 on NT 4.0 Server Machine. I
would appreciate any help I can get on this.

Hi Minh,
It could be because of case-sensitvity. Looks like your
directory is C:\ORCL\OracleXSU\lib whereas the error message
indicates C:\Orcl\... Please check that. (i.e. set the path to
C:\ORCL\ in the bat file and execute the bat file).
Also please check the xmlparser.jar file is indeed present in
the directory shown in the error message.
Also in the command line window in which you are running the XML
SQL, please verify the CLASSPATH settings by printing out the
CLASSPATH. e.g. set %CLASSPATH%.
Thx

  • Main-class not found error while clicking on the jar

    I have a created a jar FinARM.jar for my swing application using eclipse.
    Clicking on this jar, it is giving the problem main-class not found.
    It contains the MANIFEST.MF file, with entry Main-Class: FinAlignTest for the main class.
    FinAlignTest is my main class.
    I have a similar jar created with a small swing application (Single file) clicking on it can open the swing application.
    It is also attached above.

    Hi ,
    My Apllication runs with out any warnings or errors. But when i create a jar file using eclipse it is giving this problem.
    When i double click on the jar file i am getting this problem. MANIFEST.MF entry contains the main method entry.
    I have created another jar (Which contains a simple java file, swing application) from eclipse export option.
    It works fine on click.
    But jar FinARM.jar contains 5 files (Swing app), which even fetch some data from the database.
    My jar is placein the same machine where it can fetch data from DB
    Can u plese tell me whats the problem.

    Verify the 3rd party class files names are correctly written in your program. Sometimes wrong case might be the reason.

    Have you restarted servers after putting jar in $Domain_Home/lib directory? Also try after explicitly adding this jar in classpath by editing server startup script (startManagedWeblogic.cmd or .sh) or in domain env setting script (setDonainEnv.cmd or .sh) and restarting the servers.

    Hi Mark,
    I have seen your two posts and there are something you need to notice:
    Where the ClassNotFound exception you got? From deployment tool or
    application server kjs process?
    Of course, you need not to add supporting classes to each ejb jars or ears.
    1. If you use deployment tool to package your application, I'm sure you'll
    fail to resovle your classes without supporting classes added to jars.
    Please select Edit->Preference,in Classpath entry, enter the supporting
    classes(packaged to jar files) location. This should work.
    2. After deploy to ias, please edit the registry using kregedit which you
    described in your posts.

    When I deploy EJBs to the iPlanet app server I find that I need to include
    all supporting classes in each ejb jar file. According to the
    Administrator's manual I should be able to modify the kjs classpath bydoing
    the following:
    On Windows
    a.. Open iPlanet Registry Editor.
    (See About iPlanet Registry Editor)
    b.. Open the following key:
    SOFTWARE\iPlanet\Application Server\6.0\Java\
    c.. Modify the class path and restart the server for the change to take
    effect.
    However, when I add my supporting classes to a jar in this directory Istill
    get a class not found exception when I run the deployment tool.
    Adding the classes to each EJB jar is redundant and introduces lots of
    problems. How should I configure iPlanet so I only need to put my
    supporting classes in one place?
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Class not found in web-inf/classes folder of war file within ear file

    Hi all,
              I am using Weblogic 8.1 sp4. I have a war file within an ear file. I am trying to deploy the war file with a few classes within its web-inf/classes folder, however when the classes are in that folder I consistently get a class not found exception when trying to instantiate them. If I package the classes in a jar file and then put that jar file within the web-inf/lib folder of the war, the classes are also not found.
              If I put these two classes in the app-inf/classes folder of the ear file, everything works as expected and the classes are found.
              Any ideas of why this is happening. This seems to be a very simple thing that should work, but appears to not be working at all.
              thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas.

    Hi,
              This is a known limitation/issue with WL. There is also no way around this.

  • Class not found for class generated by autotype when deploy

    I'm getting a ClassNotFoundException when I attempt to deploy a webservice that was originally generated from an XSD.
    1) I create the stubs using "autotype" and the schemaFile attribute. Class files are generated and placed in the location specified by destDir.
    2) I then run source2wsdd to generate the web-services.xml and WSDL files. source2wsdd specified the "javaSource" attribute and points to the java file the WebService is to call.
    I also take all the generated JAVA classes and put it into a JAR file for step 3.
    3) I run wspackage to create the EAR file. For "webAppClasses" I specify the class files that goes with the "javaSource" specified in step 2. I also take the JAR file created in step 2 (which contains all the code generated by step 1) and use "utilJars" to put in the the /lib directory of the war file.
    4) When I deploy, I get a "class not found" for one of the classes that is in the utility jar file I created in step 2. I have verified that the jar file is in the "web-inf/lib" directory.
    What am I not seeing that is causing WebLogic (WLS 8.0 SP2) to not find the class?
    Thanks in advance...

    Bruce: Got it working. (Bad news is I'm not sure what I did to fix it. :-( )
    My service now deploys, but I'm having problems doing a "source2wsdd" from inside
    Eclipse. Found another customer in this group with the same issue, and added my
    info to his message.
    For now I have to run the build outside Eclipse, but at least my service is deployable.
    Thanks for taking the time to reply to my message!

    Hello everyone,
    I am new to RMI and getting a strange exception. I am using Java 1.5.0_07 both on client and server. They are running on the same machine, the rmi registry is started inside the server application.

  • JSP-class not found

    My server already working properly in internet.It's a travel agent site.there after i include one more page for audio guide which is JMF with in the applet and it is plugin to my jsp page.It's work very fine in my local system.my server is Tomcat .But if i hosted to our server means it's giving applet class not found exception.
    It is already having com package ,now i include my jmf package wol to it.
    My root directory of this class file is
    web-inf/classes/wol/PlaySongs.class
    My server doesn't have JMF pack so,i just copy JMF.jar and Sound.jar to my web-inf/lib/ folder.and also to my server folder like tomcat/common/lib/ .Now i restart my server it's giving applet class not found exception.but it's working fine in local system.
    I have using following jsp code.
    <body>
    <%
    String fname = "file:" + request.getRealPath("AudioF") + "/button-1.mp3";
    %>
    <jsp:plugin type="applet" code="PlaySongs.class" codebase="/wol" width="300" height="20">
    <jsp:params>
    <jsp:param name="file" value="<%=fname%>" />
    </jsp:params>
    <jsp:fallback>
    <p> Unable to start Plug-in. </p>
    </jsp:fallback>
    </jsp:plugin>Any one help me.
    Regards
    K.Suresh

    the codebase should be a path into the webdir, not the WEB-INF dir. Your browser needs to be able to reach the applet class like any other resource.
    My server doesn't have JMF pack so,i just copy JMF.jar and Sound.jar to my web-inf/lib/ folder.and also to my server folder like tomcat/common/lib/If you are already copying it to your common/lib folder, you don't need it in the lib folder of your webapp.

    Hello Mark,
    Your suggested solution (putting an empty commons-logging.properties into
    web-inf/classes or in a jar in web-inf/lib)
    does not make any change at all. It still complains about not being able to
    preload the servlet and still
    gives exceptions upong calling upon LogFactory.
    What I have been able to do is put the three classes from
    com.bea.wlw.netui.util.logging into a separate jar
    and add that to web-inf/lib.
    However I am sometimes getting funny exceptions upon undeploy
    (NoClassDefFoundError for org.apache.commons.collection.FastHashMap$KeySet).

    In the "<WL-HOME>/server/lib/knex.jar" file there is a properties file

    org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory=com.bea.wlw.netui.util.logging.StrutsL
    ogFactory
    This class file is not available for a Struts web application that was not
    built using Workshop, the reason being the containing NetUI jar files are
    not present in the web application's WEB-INF/lib folder. This leads to a
    ServletException while deploying the web application. The solution is toadd
    a blank file (or a JAR containing the file) namedcommons-logging.properties
    to the server CLASSPATH, or to the WEB-INF/lib folder of the concerned web
    application. This issue will be fixed in Service Pack 2.
    cheers

    Hi Rob,
    I also have a similar error with deploying a Struts web application into
    a
    8.1 Basic Workshop Domain created
    by 8.1 Platform.
    I get a ClassNotFoundException for 'com.wlw...StrutsLogFactory', whenStruts
    tries to load any Jakarta class
    from commons-beanutils or Struts which has logging.
    This happens because commons-logging picks up some property whichinstructs
    it to load that class, which is
    naturally not included in most web applications, since it is
    workshop-specific. This property definition, I think,
    is in <bea>\weblogic81\server\knex.jar, called
    commons-logging.properties,
    containing the following line:
    org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory=com.bea.wlw.netui.util.logging.StrutsL
    ogFactory
    How can I override this in my webapp in a property file, so that when a
    Struts or Beanutils class calls
    LogFactory.getLog(org.apache.....<classname>.class), it would not try touse
    the property file and the
    class defined in knex.jar.
    Thanks in advance,

    Actually it complained about a NoClassDefFoundError. Generally this
    is
    caused by something in a parent classloader that is found but then
    depends on something only loadable in a child classloader.
    eg.
    You have something in your $CLASSPATH that references something in the
    WEB-INF/lib. This will NoClassDefFoundError.
    So, as I recommended, remove everything you've added to the$CLASSPATH,
    add the jars to WEB-INF/lib. If you're still having problems, show me
    your $CLASSPATH, the contents of WEB-INF/lib, and the error message
    /stack trace.

    the

    (those generated file name have some number attached at the end.)
    As
    I
    mentioned
    before, I can use javap find the class using this weblogic generatedclasspath.
    But weblogic complained that the class is not found.

  • Class Not found : oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver when calling web service

    Hi,
    I have installed the Oracle Data Integrator Public Web Services on Apache Tomcat 5.5 application server with Apache Axis2
    When I try to call the web service OdiInvoke using the operation "listScenario" using only the JdbcDriver as input parameter, the response I get back from the web service call is:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Class Not found : oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Using the operator "getWebServiceVersion" I get a successfull response back som the connection seems fine.
    Obviously the error has to do with the driver not beeing available but where should I put the driver? Or how do I make it available? When working from Topology Manager, all connections are fine.
    Best regards
    M

    Solved it on my own by putting ojdbc14.jar in the following directory: <Apache-Tomcat install dir>/webapps/axis2/WEB-INF/lib/
    Thought I'd share in case some one else has same issue

  • Getting the Adapter Class Not Found Error in the Java Manipulator

    Hi,
    I wrote a custom java manipulator for the baseline update and created a jar file for the class. This works fine in the Windows machine. All I have to do is while specifying the CLASSPATH, I entered the ./ib/newManipulator.jar; ./lib/additional_dependency.jar. When I tried to deploy the same code in the Unix environment, it fails saying the Adapter Class not found. The only difference from windows and Unix environment is that in the windows machine, in order to run the base line update, I go to the directory my_project->control->baseline_update.bat but in case of Unix environment I have a separate location where I have a shell script called run-baseline-update.sh located at /apps/bin which invokes the baseline.sh in the directory my_project/control/baseline.sh. I even tried to put the full path of the jar files e.g. /my_project/lib/newManipulator.jar; /my_project/lib/additional_dependency.jar in the class path but still the same issue. Any suggestions?

    Unix classpath needs ":" as the path separator, not ";". Changing that will make this work.
    For reference, later versions of the deployment template make this configurable, so you'd see (in environment.properties):
    # PATH_SEP_VARNAME: for platform-independence
    PATH_SEP_VARNAME=;
    # Forge needs record store libraries as well as Spring to load record store adapter configuration files
    FORGE_CLASSPATH=./config/lib/java/spring-delegate-adapter-1.0.1.jar${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}./config/lib/java/spring.jar${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}./config/lib/java/eacToolkit.jar${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}./config/script${PATH_SEP_VARNAME}.
    You can then add the following to your <forge /> definition in AppConfig.xml:
    <arg>--javaClasspath</arg>
    <arg>${FORGE_CLASSPATH}</arg>
    Hope this helps.

  • Class not found problem in Tomcat Web app

    Hi,
    I created a Web Service using JWSDP. I want to invoke a Web service method from my servlet. It works fine on Win NT Workstation, but on Windows 2000 it gives class not found error because it fails to pick up the jars that come with the pack in common\lib directory. I copied the jars to all possible lib paths as below, but looks like there's something wrong with the class loader. This problem comes in all our win2k machines. Does anyone have any clue about this.
    /WEB-INF/lib/*.jar of your web application
    $CATALINA_HOME/common/endorsed/*.jar
    $CATALINA_HOME/common/lib/*.jar
    $CATALINA_HOME/shared/lib/*.jar
    Thanks in advance,
    Sriram.

    If it can't find servlet.jar in the Tomcat dir, you should do what I did. I copied servlet.jar to C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\jre\lib\ext\servlet.jar
    Then I added that to my CLASSPATH, and it finally found servlet.jar (it never found it in the Tomcat folder where it was).

  • Loadjava - exception class not found

    Hi, I'm running Oracle 8.1.2.0 on HP UX and I've started to look at Java and Oracle. I created a sample class and when I try to load it in the database it gives me the following error:
    Class not found: oracle.aurora.server.tools.LoadJavaMain
    I've searched thru Technet and it says something about a aurora_tools.jar in lib dir, but I've searched my entire hd and didn't find it.
    Is there anything wrong with my instalation, or my version doesn't have that file?
    I have 8.1.6 in CD if I install it, it solves my problem? Please help...
