Class not found., Eclipse

Hi erveryone.
I wanted to use some classes in my eclipse project. So i made a jar archive. And added as a external library. So now i dont get any compile error when im using classes in my project. But when i want to run the code i get Class not Found.
(My code is under folder proj/test/src/prog.java
and class for prog.java is proj/test/bin/prog.class. But cant find the other classes wich is in test/*.classes)
Does the Jar structure have to be the same package structure as project code (prog.java)??
How can i Sove the problem. To use some classes in the project.
Thank u so much

If you have used third party library (just like jdom or etc) , it may caused by bundle invalid or project information broken error.
When I make project , and linked with library , and remove library from project (without any source code editting) , then the project information will be broken in eclipse plug in project.
I want to fix it, but I can't . I don't know why. I just know I couldn't find project bundle information and even I remove eclipse and install again, it occurs with same name project.
Delete ./metadata in workspace directory, and make a new project without third party library or if one linked , don't remove. I know only this.

  • Error : class not found exception : com.mysql.jdbc.driver in Eclipse Tool

    Hi
I have impoted project file in eclipse in new machine using option import from existing workbence . When i stat to debug this project ,
i am getting error as class not found exception : com.mysql.jdbc.driver . my project folder already consist of mysql .jar file in /web appls/web-inf folder.
Application is running successfully in other machine from where i took the application file. As this error appeared I also added jar file into project path as Project ---->properties-- build java path---libraries----add external jar file.
    kindly hep me.

Sounds like an eclipse question - not a JDBC one.
But since eclipse is telling you it can't find it then it means it is not in the eclipse path. So you must add it. (The fact that it is somewhere is irrelevant - all that matters is it is not in the class path.)

  • Class not found for class generated by autotype when deploy

I'm getting a ClassNotFoundException when I attempt to deploy a webservice that was originally generated from an XSD.
    1) I create the stubs using "autotype" and the schemaFile attribute. Class files are generated and placed in the location specified by destDir.
    2) I then run source2wsdd to generate the web-services.xml and WSDL files. source2wsdd specified the "javaSource" attribute and points to the java file the WebService is to call.
I also take all the generated JAVA classes and put it into a JAR file for step 3.
    3) I run wspackage to create the EAR file. For "webAppClasses" I specify the class files that goes with the "javaSource" specified in step 2. I also take the JAR file created in step 2 (which contains all the code generated by step 1) and use "utilJars" to put in the the /lib directory of the war file.
    4) When I deploy, I get a "class not found" for one of the classes that is in the utility jar file I created in step 2. I have verified that the jar file is in the "web-inf/lib" directory.
What am I not seeing that is causing WebLogic (WLS 8.0 SP2) to not find the class?
    Thanks in advance...

Bruce: Got it working. (Bad news is I'm not sure what I did to fix it. :-( )
My service now deploys, but I'm having problems doing a "source2wsdd" from inside
Eclipse. Found another customer in this group with the same issue, and added my

For now I have to run the build outside Eclipse, but at least my service is deployable.
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my message!

  • JNLPClassloader raises class not found Exception

I have some class files which are part of a jar file. I made sure this jar is downloaded by JWS on client machine. When application is launched in stand alone mode then JNLPClassloader complains at runTime that particular class is missing.Although this class is already inside jar file.
Did any one faced similar situation when JNLPClassloader raises "Class Not found Exception" ? How this can be avoided?

yeah i made sure classes are put in proper folder. As i am using Eclipse,JDK1.6, jboss so when i launch application directly from Eclipse then it works fine.
But if i launch through JWS then it does not work. I am not able to understand why JWS can not detect classes inside Jar file downloaded on client machine ?

  • Class Not Found: com.bea.wlevs.adapters.jms.api.OutboundMessageConverter in Outbound JMS Converter

    OEP 12.1.3
Following the instructions in 4 Adapters (12c Release 1 (12.1.3)) I have created a custom message converter bean for my Outbound JMS Adapter (I had to add the JAR file com.bea.wlevs.adapters.jms_12.1.3.0_0.jar from OEP_HOME\oep\modules to my project to make the code compile). However, upon deployment, I ran into a class not found exception:

To make a package available to your application at runtime for OEP, you will need to add it to the application's MANIFEST.MF file to the Import Package section (since the OEP server is OSGi-based). There's no need to supply a version number, you can just enter the package name (e.g.)
    com.bea.wlevs.adapters.jms.api,

  • Class Not Found - IE, all others work

    Hello,
    following problem:
I've written an Applet with forte4java 4.0. It works fine with NS, Mozilla, Opera. But with IE (5.0,5.5,6.0) I get a Class Not Found Error? I've tried EVERYTHING, and while searching the Web, I found Applets, that act similar. So I created an Applet whith the following empty Methods:
init, destroy, start, stop, paint, repaint and run.
    The same result!
So I took the eclipse IDE and compiled it -> It worked !???
    Same whith JBuilder.
So, I love the Forte IDE but this f..., stolen me 'bout 12 hours of work. So any suggestions? Am I have to change Settings?

this applet is only one class, myMenu.class. And the class which isn't found is myMenu.class .
I've tested again and recognized that when I compile this class , which consits actually only of an empty init Method, with Eclipse, it can be found in all Browsers, but if I do this a few times the same 'Class not found' is shown in all IE. With forte it's allready, when compiling it first. I'm at this point to believe this is f...ing win ME.

  • Class not found - from jsp sub-directories

    Hello:
    Main-Issue:
    - I have some java-class files in the \<my-web-app>\web-inf\classes directory. These classes do not belong to any packages.
    - I have some jsps in the \<my-web-app>\ directory and also in some sub-directories in the \<my-web-app>\ directory. Example: \<my-web-app>\test\index1.jsp.
    - The jsps in the \<my-web-app>\ directory can invoke the classes in the \<my-web-app>\web-inf\classes directory with no issues. But, the jsps in the sub-directories CANNOT see the classes in the \<my-web-app>\web-inf\classes directory. I get a "class not found" error. (this is just in oc4j).
First of all, just a background to the issue:
    - I am trying to port a web application from JRUN to OC4J.
    - I want to do this with minimal changes to the existing code.
    - The application has been running on JRUN for a while. I only see the above mentioned error (class not found) error when trying to run it on oc4j.
    - As a test, I created my own test application to verify:
(-) I wrote a simple java class (test.class) with no package and placed it in the web-inf\classes directory
(-) I wrote a jsp file (index.jsp) to invoke test.class. I placed the jsp at the top-level directory of the web-app.
(-) I wrote another jsp file (index1.jsp) to invoke test.class as well. I placed that jsp file in a sub-directory in the top-level directory of the web-app.
(-) index.jsp worked without any problems. index1.jsp gave the "class not found" error.
(-) As another test, I then modified the class to be in a package (com.benny). I then changed the jsps to call "com.benny.test" rather than just "test". This time, both index.jsp and index1.jsp worked fine.
So, I guess my question is, do these classes have to be in a package? I am trying to avoid having to make a lot of changes to the app. If they do have to be in packages, then I have re-compile a lot of class files, add import statements to jsps, etc.
    Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Benny

So, I guess my question is, do these classes have to be in a package?Answer: yes.
As of Java1.4, classes in the "unnamed" package were no longer accessible.
What version of java were you running with JRun?
What version are you running with OC4J?
    Read all about it here:
    http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4361575
If you have to repackage the classes, the IDE Eclipse has excellent support for refactoring, and wil let you put classes into packages with a minimum of fuss.

Sorry, don't know what else to suggest unless there's a URL to the problem stream that someone here can try. Otherwise we can't test it to try and determine what might be wrong.
BTW, make sure they're testing it with a Mac, not with a Windows system. If they test only with Windows, what they say is or is not working doesn't mean much.

  • "Java Class not found in classpath" Error in DESIGNER

    Hello All,
I'm trying to connect in Designer using a JDBC connection to MS SQL Server 2008.  As per the instructions, I updated my jdbc.sbo file with the path to the existing two JAR files.  However, I still get the following error when I try and connect in Designer:  "Java Class not found in classpath : C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\dataAccess\connectionServer\jdbc\Drivers\sqlsrv".  Of course, this error includes the drive path with the location to my JAR files.  Any help in resolving this nagging issue is very GREATLY appreciated.  Also, if anyone needs it I can post a copy of the jdbc.sbo file to this thread.
    Thank you,
    Pankaj

    Stratos,
Your suggestion didn't help.  I tried to connect after restarting my machine and I still get the error.  And, I've also tried adding a connection to MS SQL Server 2005 using this JDBC driver, and that didn't help either.  Any other suggestions?  Would it help to see my "jdbc.sbo" file?  Thanks again for your and everyone else's help, and I look forward to your reply.
    Regards,
    Pankaj

There are two object (DirectLogic and Meter) that are not present on the amchine you are moving the process to.   If the same version of Lookout, you might be able to just copy the cbx files.

  • Keep getting VncViewer.class not found error when trying to use Windows 7

    Greetings,
I have no issue accessing the OVM Manager 2.2 with OEL 5.4 x86_64 with the latest Java release from ULN. But when I use a Windows 7 client ( x86) with the Sun Java 6 Update 18 I get the following error when trying to access the Console of a VM Guest:
    Java Plug-in 1.6.0_18
Using JRE version 1.6.0_18-b07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

I am curious fi I should use only a specifc Java Engine with IE 7 or the latest Firefox browers.

Same issue to with Windows XP SP3 x86 with Java Runtime Enviornment 1.5.0_15
    J2SE Enviornment 5.0 Update 15
