ClassCastException error during CO extension
Hi,
I have a requirement.
When you login to the home page and go to worklist notification page, clicking the full list, you get all the notifications for the users. Now the user wants a filter there, such that if they choose PO, only po notifications should come, similarly some other filters. I have leveraged a external LOV to get all those values, but when you hit on go button I have to dynamically add those values to the where condition of the VO.
I could not add the new fields in that region because there was no create button for that region. So I created some fields @ PageLayout Level.
So,
Page Layout RN - My New Fields ( The CO here is say PageCO)
StackLayout RN - existing field and Go Button ( The CO here is say LayoutCO)
Ideally I should customize the LayoutCO to dynamically append the where clause, but :
1) I can't create any items there, because there was no create button
2) Just to check I extended the CO, calling the super PFR and writing a OADiagnostics message, I get the below error:
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.layout.OAFlowLayoutBean cannot be cast to oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.table.OATableBean
But when I extend the CO of the region above it (PageCO), I am not getting the error, but I am not able to get hold of the VO. It returns null, when I see the diagnostics. Any clue , how to achieve this?
Thanks Gyan.
Getting the fields or the value is not an issue . That I have configured, but passing that value to the existing VO is the issue now.
I have identified the tableRN CO and I am extending it's controller.
What I did was:
After Super
- Getting hold of the VO . Conditionally there are different VOs, based on a value selected earlier. Say say VO1 is triggered, I am appending the where clause with the values of the new field. But the issue is :
Issue 1: In some cases the VO does not return any data.
Issue 2 : In some cases I am getting the error 'Object name for type View Object is invalid'
Any help?

The following syntax error occurred in the program RFBIDE20

Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "RFBIDE10" had to be terminated because one of the

Error during the upgrade phase "start_shdi_first"
Hello,
We are having issue with upgrading r/3 4.7 enterprise extension set to ECC 6.0
Here the error message goes....
starting system failed rc=0
to analyse the error during start of shadow instance
view files 'Startsfi.log' and 'devtrace.log'

and u can logon instance no '01'"
We have changed the DDIC password during upgrade.after that we ran the initphase to update the password.
I think sapup is referring the old password which was entered initially during the upgrade and we dont remember the old password also.
Appreciate your response

Thanks,
VadiDear All,
The issue has been resolved by changing the DDIC password to what it was when we have started the upgrade. The password was "welcome" when we have started with upgrade after that it has been changed to
"basis05" during upgrade.we changed it back to welcome and it started working fine.
Here it took long time to find out what was the password when we have starte upgrade.Resetting to standard ddic password also ddint help out in our case.
Thanks for all your replies. -
When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

In our environment we are using a layer 3 switch with VLANs, so I have a logical network using the 'VLAN-based independent networks' option, with two sites
Each site has an assoicated VLAN ID, and IP subnet
I've created a logical switch (without SR-IOV), using only the Microsoft Windows Filtering platform extension
The uplink on the logical switch is not a team, and has a port profile associated with the host group including all my Hyper-V hosts, and including all sites from the logical network
The virtual port on the logical switch has High bandwidth and medium bandwidth port classifications associated
I have VM Networks created for each of the sites on my logical network
The network configuration on my VM is as follows:
Connected to a VM network, enable VLAN
IP address is greyed out as Static IP (from a static IP pool) - This was configured as Dynamic at creation time as I do not use IP pools
MAC address is dynamic
Virtual switch - using the logical switch mentioned above and High Bandwidth classification
The hosts have a dedicated interface on a trunked network port for VM data. Available for placement is checked, used by management is not (as i have a dedicated interface for that)
It has the logical network mentioned above assigned, and all IP sites are shown with their VLAN IDs
I believe I have everything configured correctly (after all the VM works correctly regardless of which host is running it), but i still see these errors during a VM migration
Has anybody seen this before, or have any pointers to resolving them?
The hosts are Server 2012 R2 Datacenter and the VM is Server 2012 R2 Standard
Thanks,
PhilI am also getting these errors when manually migrating machines between hosts. And indeed, the VM is moved and keeps working.
But when I try to put an host in maintenance, it instantly fails with:
Error (10434)
No suitable host is available for migrating the existing highly available virtual machines.
Not quite the same network setup, but running all Server 2012R2 and VMM2012R2.
In my production environment I do not have these issues, which is running Server 2012 and VMM2012SP1.

Hi friends,
I am getting error during the generation of ABAP proxy object for web service developed in .NET .
Error : Proxy generation terminated: WSDL error (<extension> not supported).
How to make this WSDL file compatible for ABAP proxy.
I have tried to edit WSDL file in XML Spy but did not get any option to replace/remove the tag <extention>.
If any one worked on this. Please help me its urgent.
Thanks and regards,
Shivanand.HI ,
I am having the same issue!!!
Does ABAP Proxy Generation support <extension> ?
Is there a list available of what is supported and what not (please consider I do not have access to sap notes)?

Message failed in PI: Status code 200 But Error During Response Parsing:
Hi
I have integration scenario for sending PO/PO change/Proact from R/3 to SNC, everything was working till yesterday morning and suddenly all messages are failing in SAP PI with below error. We have not done any changes. The strange thing is this is failing in dev as well as in QA.
HTTP Status Code 200 Received But Error During Response Parsing: No XI Response Received XML element Envelope missing in SOAP message header (SAP XI Extension)
I can see some messages in sxmb_moni (we have not configured this) from sender component "Integration_Server_SID" and it's failed with below message
Proxy calls are not permitted on sender or
receiver side on the IS (client)
Thanks,

HTTP Status Code 200 Received But Error During Response Parsing
Hi Experts,
We are testing a simple Proxy(ECC) to File scenario in QA. This interface was working fine in Dev but we are getting the following error here in QA:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
<!-- Call Adapter -->
<SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="">

<SAP:Stack>HTTP Status Code 200 Received But Error During Response Parsing: No XI Response Received XML element Envelope missing in SOAP message header (SAP XI Extension)</SAP:Stack>
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
</SAP:Error>
We searched other threads but could not get any solution. Please provide suggestions.
Thank You.
Regards,
Anandanthe problem was due to high volume message (247 MB ) ...Java stack was not able to process this huge message ,that is the reason ,it started automatically and as a result , "HTTP Status Code 200 Received But Error During Response Parsing" due to unavailability of AFW during Call adapter step in the pipeline processing...
We have done the following activities in order to solve this problem....
increase the value of icm/HTTP/max_request_size_KB to 512MB
icm/wp_roll_timeout to maximum
HTTP TIMEOUT to 1800 sec
icm/wp_roll_timeout to maximum
mpi/total_size_MB to maximum
mpi/buffer_size to maximum
and then increased the maxthreadcount ,maxcontentlength using config tool...
and also increased the java heap size to maximum....
After doing everything ,the file has been successfully processed....
the problem has been resolved... -
I encountered a bug while using the deploytool to deploy
an EAR file to the Sun J2EE 1.3_01 server.
I submitted a bug report to Sun via the Sun Java Developer Connection.
(Sorry, it has not been assigned a BugID yet)
Question:
Does anybody know if the web container in Sun's
J2EE 1.3_01 server supports access to local enterprise beans?
Screenshots of the bug are available at
http://sync4j.sourceforge.net/deploymentbug/
Full details below....

category: j2ee
subcategory: deployment
release: 1.3_01
hardware: x86
OSversion: windows_2000
synopsis: java.lang.ClassCastException thrown during deployment of Session bean
java -version
java version "1.3.1_01"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1_01)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1_01, mixed mode)
C:\j2sdkee1.3\bin>j2ee -version
Java 2 Enterprise Edition version 1.3_01, build 1.3_01-b01
I built a EJB 2.0 compliant stateful session bean.
The session bean has a remote interface (ISyncRemote),
a remote home interface (ISyncHomeRemote),
a local interface (ISyncLocal),
and a local home interface (ISyncHomeLocal).
I built an HTTP Servlet that is supposed to access
the Stateful Session Bean using ISyncHomeLocal and
ISyncLocal
I run "deploytool.bat" in GUI mode to perform the deployment.
During deployment, the deploytool GUI displays a message
box which states:
"There was a deployment error.
java.rmi.ServerException: RemoteException occurred in server thread;
nested exception is:
java.rmi.RemoteException: An error was encountered while loading
a web component.
Please refer to
<J2EE_HOME>/logs/<machine-name>/j2ee//j2ee/error.log
for more information. Please verify your Application with the
Verifier tool."
The "error.log" file did not contain any useful information.
I ran the J2EE "verifier.bat" tool to verify that my EAR archive is OK.
The Sun J2EE server output this error string:
"java.lang.ClassCastException:
com.sun.enterprise.deployment.EjbExternalDescriptor"
Here is the full output from the Sun J2EE server:

Does the Sun J2EE server implementation support the invocation
of Session EJB's via a Local interface?
Does the Sun J2EE server implementation allow a Servlet to invoke
Session EJB's via the bean's Local interface?
While researching this issue, I read the J2EE 1.3 final specification.
The spec says:
"The EJB container is required to access to local enterprise beans.
We recommend that the web container also support access to local
enterprise beans."
Does the web container in Sun's J2EE server support access to local enterprise beans?I'm pretty much sure that you cannot access a
local Session bean from outside the EJB container. Please read the J2EE 1.3 specification before posting messages about EJB and J2EE.
According to the J2EE 1.3 specification:
"The EJB container is required to support access to local enterprise beans. We recommend that the web container also support access to local enterprise beans.
No support is provided for access to local enterprise beans from the application client container or the applet container."
If you use local interfaces for your session bean,
than your client must be local too. A local client is
a client that is collocated in the same JVM with the
session/entity that provides the local view and which
can be tightly coupled to the bean.My client is running in the same JVM as my EJB. The client is a servlet. The servlet is running in the same JVM as the EJB.
For what its worth, the error that I observed occurs during deployment. I haven't figured out why deployment is failing. -
Quicktime errors during install, uninstall, or run
Quicktime errors during install, uninstall, or run. No error code. It just says it encountered an error and must exit.
I located a previous response that satisfied my issue. Below is the process that allowed me to use quicktime.
The "fatal error" in this context has (recently) been indicating trouble with old, misplaced QuickTime componentry lurking about in your system.
(Whether or not the message is a symptom of that problem seems to depend on what version of old misplaced stuff is lurking and what version of QuickTime proper we're trying to install or uninstall ... but in recent times, there's been an uptick in fatal errors being caused by that.)
So let's try investigating that possibility first.
First we'll adjust some view settings on the PC.
1. Open My Computer from the desktop or Start menu.
2. In the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab.
4. In the "Advanced settings" pane under "Hidden files and folders" make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" option is selected, and the "Hide extensions for known file types" option is unchecked.
5. Click OK.
Now in "My Computer" open Local Disk C: (or whichever drive your operating system is installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "System32" folder.
What files or folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the file or folder name? (In a standard installation of QuickTime, you should see precisely two files ... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.) -

ThanksHi,
I found an article explaining the issue: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927156.
Please try to disconnect the configuration database from existing farm environment, and then create a new configuration database:
1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. At the command line, change to the following directory: \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions
\12\BIN
3. At the command prompt, type the following command to create a new configuration database: psconfig -cmd configdb -create -server
ServerName -database ConfigDBName -user Domain\User -password Password
4. Rerun the SharePoint Products and Technologies Wizard.
Hope it helps. -
Workspace : Unexpected error during interactive component execution
Hi !
During execution, we have random events where this error appears. It appears for different field names and objects. The error code is displayed in the workspace and this is an excerpt of the workspace log.
We have 2 workspaces using websphere. We noticed that in the past, a few times this was solved by synchronizing the nodes. I does not get fixed like that anymore.
Any clues? this same deployed application worked in the past, it was not updated.
THANKS,
Regards,
Matias
