Classic report regions not executing queries after clicking in a chart link

I have a chart region with a link to page passing values to select list items, but report regions are not loading.
This is the link generated at chart series:

All page items passed are filled correctly, but report regions don't show any data.
Please notice I am using two LOV where second one is showing values according the first one selected and doing the submit event where report regions are showing the result of the queries executed.
Report regions shows data when I do the select of page items manually, but not when I pass those values thru link url
I am using Oracle APEX 4.2.2.00.11

We have created interactive reports which are working fine and displaying results with a standard business role. However, the report does not even execute when we use a custom business role - no blank screen no error, but the report does not execute at all.
What could be missing ? Need your inputs please.

Compare the profile value for the function profile id REPORTING_PROF in Z business role with your std business role. To check this go to define business roles> select your ZBusiness role>double click on Assign function profiles.

If I understand correctly, you want to control the table visibility through clicking the chart. In this case, please refer to the detailed steps below:
1. Create the parameter named Control, check the Boolean option in the drop-down list of the Data Type, and select Hidden in the parameter visibility tab.
2. Specify the default value of the parameter to True.
3. Click the series in the chart and select “Action” in the Properties pane and click the ellipsis as follows:
4. Select the “Go to report” tab, and select the self-report in the “Specify a report” tab.
5. Pass the parameter as bellows:
Name:Control Vaule:false
6. Right click the table control, select Tablix Properties and select the Visiblity property.
7. Select the tab of Show or hide based on an expression, and add the expression below:
=iif(Parameters!Control.Value=true,true,false)

i checked TCODE:RSCUR IN PRD its not showing any details
again i checked in dev and moved all currency types dev to production
now its wokring

SQL Query report region that only queries on first load

Hello all,
Is there any way in which you can prevent a SQL Query report region from quering data after every refresh?
I would like to make a report that queries on the first load, but then I would like to change the individual values, and reload to show the change, but every time I reload the page the columns are queried and the original values are displayed once again...
any ideas?

I created a header process to create the HTMLDB_COLLECTION. It is something like:

The names were changed, for obvious reasons.
I then created an SQL Report Region to see if it would work. The SQL is:
SELECT c001, c002, c003
FROM htmldb_collections
WHERE collection_name = 'COURSE_DATA'
When I run the page it says:
ORA-20104: create_collection_from_query Error:ORA-20104: create_collection_from_query ExecErr:ORA-01008: not all variables bound
Any idea why this is happening?

Execute process after clicking a link

i have a page with a form and report.
the report contains links to specific datasets in the form. that means: it's a link to the same page but another data set.
because of the form i have a process Automatic Row Processing (DML) to save changes in the form.
now i want to use this process after clicking a link. i did the following: i added to link the keyword 'Apply' in the position of 'Request'.
the process says: Valid Update Request Values: SAVE, APPLY CHANGES, UPDATE, UPDATE ROW, CHANGE, APPLY, APPLY%CHANGES%, GET_NEXT%, GET_PREV% , but if i click on a link the process will never be executed.

What do you mean with "link to the same page"?
If you don't SUBMIT the page, the Automatic Row Processing will not fire.
So your "link" should be something like a href="javascript:doSubmit('APPLY');",
and then you set up Page Branching to branch to the same page.
You might want to set up a condition for the branch also, choose Request = Expression 1, and enter APPLY in the expression 1 field.

Interactive report jquery not executed on pagination

recently i fell into another problem when using jquery in an interactive report.
in the page header i do this

as soon as a change page the jquery is not executed, the attributes are not set.
i think this is because while pagination of the IR the actual page is not reloaded.
how can i achieve that that the jqury part is executed after pagination?

ADF Region not getting refreshed after Commit

Hi everyone!
I'm having some trouble with a region that is disturbing me for more than 2 weeks, its true guys, I tried everything!!
My parent page is a normal ADF .jspx page that contains inside it a task-flow call. The first task-flow activity is a router, after sending a String
to router it chooses the region activity that fits the page (in this example I always pass the same value, same String).
After the router is called then it delegates to "ExecuteWithParams" method call before calling my final region that have its query executed with
parameter set inside task-flow.
The region is refreshed (refresh="ifNeeded") when I change row inside a table in ParentPage, all fine here.
The problem is:
- After any Commit (with navigation case or executable binding) is issued inside Region the region save its state and does not refresh anymore, even if task-flow parameters change.
Already tried CacheResults="false" on iterator too.
I'm using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.

so I think the shirt summary of your problem is that an ADF region doesn't refresh after it issued a commit. Sounds like a bug to me if this reproduces in a test case. Do you have a testcase based on the Oracle HR schema ? If so, send it my way in a zip file you rename to ".unzip". My mail address is in my OTN profile. Note that bugs I file are not visible to customers. So if you need to keep track of any state of the issue, you need to file a service request with support yourself.

Refresh PL/SQL Report Region (not Page) using Select List value

I've got a report region based on a 'PL/SQL function body returning a SQL query'which gets generated on selecting a value from a Select list item, The Select List action is 'Redirect and Set value' but this causes the whole page to refresh rather than just the report region. I've tried to refresh the report only using a dynamic action on the Select List item (Action now reset to 'None') but now the report is not appearing on choosing from the List. Can anyone suggest a solution that will allow me to refresh this report without refreshing the page? I am using APEX 4.2.2 and the report syntax is as follows:

Compile target 1.6 = JAR not executable anymore (double click)

I made my JAR executable by adding "Main-Class:" and "Class-Path:" entries into the manifest file. This works great with Java 1.5 compiled code. But simple switching the compile target from "1.5" to "1.6", the generated JAR is not executable anymore and shows an error dialog instead:
Java Virtual Machine Launcher
Could not find the main class. Programm will exit.
I create the JAR with an ANT script. Just toggling between target "1.5" and "1.6" forth and back results in an executable JAR (for target "1.5") or this error (for target "1.6").
Strange: it works when I call the JAR from command line (java -jar myJar.jar), so the error above only occurs when double clicking. (Running on Windows 2000, JDK 1.6.0_03)
I haven't found any notes about changes in the manifest file for target 1.6 compiled classes.

Remote procedure call failed and did not execute response after changing contents

I have reviewed the other posts related to this issue but have not found a solution.
I have done myself quite a mischief and hope someone here can help me out!
I'm running an old ACER laptop with Windows 7. This PC belonged to an old colleague and therefore all of the folders and user names were still under his name, so I decided to try to change them all to my name. The main issue was the USER folder which had
the locked symbol next to it but it wasn't locked at all. I googled how to delete this folder and one bright spark suggested I create a new folder with my name, copy all of the folders from the other 'locked' user's folder into my folder, and then delete the
old user's folder.
That was fine. All seemed well. When I tried to delete the old folder the computer sat around thinking saying it was 'moving' but not doing anything. So, I cancelled the operation in the Task Manager. When I attempted to open any folder from the start menu
or desktop or task bar I was presented with a bunch of numbers and letters and the message "REMOTE PROCEDURE CALL FAILED AND DID NOT EXECUTE."
I quickly googled the message realising I'd made a major error and the first response was to type in services.msc or something to that effect, so I typed that into the Start Menu search bar and hit enter and nothing came up. So, I tried again, but now I
couldn't type anything into the search bar, I could not even select any programs from the Start Menu.
So, I can't access the Start Menu, search bar, or any of the folders unless I open uTorrent, select open containing folder, and from there I can access what I need.
I'm too afraid to reboot the PC. I can't locate my copy of Windows 7 anywhere. I'm freaking out!!
Before I pour my lowly student wage into getting a professional to fix it, could someone please offer some suggestions??

SQL-Devlp. Freezes when not executing, but just clicking on Trigger to Edit

Yes: SQL-Developer Freezes Every Time I Click on a Trigger just to edit it, even though the trigger is disabled. How do I get SQL-Developer to stop freezing-up and making me re-boot every time I even just click on a Trigger to select it, so that I can then rt.-click and edit it. Sometimes, SQL-Developer won't freeze immediately upon selecting the Trigger with my mouse, it will allow me to rt.-click to bring up the pop-up menu where I then try to click on "Edit" so I can change the same trigger, & as soon as I choose "Edit" SQL-Developer freezes-up -- must reboot.
Also, one time I dropped a Trigger altogether in SQL-Developer, not just disabled it, but SQL-Developer was still launching the supposedly "dropped" trigger (the trigger also no longer appeared as an item under "Triggers" tree view) when I ran
a SQL Script that did INSERTs: this supposedly dropped Trigger that no longer appeared anywhere in SQL-Developer was still executing (I could tell because I was getting ERROR MESSAGES in the Messages box) and the Trigger that I had executed the DROP command on from within SQL-Programmer really was only dropped and stopped executing after I re-booted. Can you help me?
My immediate problem is the one above though. Do I need to create a Schema-Level Trigger to disable or drop all Triggers when I first logon (triggered by my logon system event), and then they will "CREATE" properly and stop freezing up and acting weird?

Please add more details. Os, Java version, database version, sql dev version + patches + extensions, install type (with or without java)
By 'restart', do you mean sql dev or the entire computer?

Jar file not executing on double-click

Hello,
I have a .jar file that I would really like to execute using a double-click in win xp.
I can execute the jar file witha java -jar command on the command prompt and the program runs but when double-clicking i get the error: cannot find the main class: program will exit
I had win rar installed on my computer which changed itself to the default app to open jar files.
So this is what I've tried
I tried modifying the registry command to run java -jar, javaw -jar but they don't work.
I have created several manifest.mf files with this in them
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Created-By: 1.4.2_07 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
Main-Class: MyClass
I know that a carraige return needs to be at the end though I don't know really how to check for it (I assume its there because I have a few extra lines after the last text peice). I've read through some other threads but nothing seems to work. It's getting really annoying always having to go through the runline. Thanks for the help.

I don't understand why Netbeans has such a hard time creating working jar's for applications. This is the second time I've written an application that just will not work when trying to execute using the jar. The last time this happened I used Eclipse and imported everything (including the layout) and Eclipse got it working the first time.
This time, I thought I'd go back to Netbeans since they released a newer version 4.0 (I haven't gone to 4.1 yet). Apparently nothing has changed as my application, once again will not run from the jar. What's the deal with Netbeans?
I think I'll, once again bring my project into Eclipse and have that make the jar.

Inventory Reports are not executing in Quality Server

Hi All,
I have done two reports ( 1. Stock Overview & 2. Stock Ageing ) in BW-DEV and executed successfully but after moving transports to BW-QA, I am getting Zero values for Stock Overview & for Stock Ageing, I am getting errors like "Sub Routine Call failed, Could not find the form SET-ICFL, CY_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FORM & UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION.
This is for your kind Information:
1. I uploaded data properly to Inventory ZIC_C03
2. I verified data in Cube, the data is available
3. SAP BI 7.1
Please guide me to over come the above issues.

Hi,
It looks you are not in developer role so it is asking access code. If you want access code you can ask Basis team they will provide based on the policies.
Regd your issue are you getting this error for particular report or any report? Check RFC connection between Bex and BI server. You run the same report in using RRMX or RSRT, if you are able to see the output then ask your Basis team look this issue or check the Note 1600067.
