Classic Report totals on all pages?

I've been using APEX (4.0.1) for about a week, & I'm generally loving it, but the question in the subject has me stumped despite half a day of Googling. The built-in totals (selecting 'sum' on the columns) are all well & good, but I need them to appear on every page of results, not just at the end. Unfortunately I need to get this done ASAP to demo to a client so time isn't on my side. Is it possible, & if so, how? My Javascript knowledge is virtually zero so please treat me like a complete idiot if that's the only way to do it...

whenever there is write statement and you are going to display some thing the system checks for the TOP-OF-PAGE and we are helpless here
so declare your heading in the TOP-OF-PAGE only
THIS is SAP provided way of the SYSTEM bahaviour

AP Check Display check total on all pages

Hi,
I am working on AP check report. I need to display Check total on all pages(in case of overflow invoices). Only for the very first OutboundPayment group the check total is populated under PaymentAmount/Value and for rest of all overflow invoices(OutboundPayment group) this value is 0. I need to display the check amount on all pages. I have created a check_total2 variable to capture the check amount but this variable does not get the check amount on the first page. Now I am trying to use decode to display the check total. But when I use decode function, the values not displaying correctly, it is showing some random number/characters.
Variable defintion - <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total2', PaymentAmount/Value) ?>
Decode Condition - <?xdofx:decode(PaymentAmount/Value,'0',xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total2'),PaymentAmount/Value)?>
Below is the data -

Thanks for your help. My problem has been solved. Below is the code which worked for me(all the credit goes to BIPuser).
Define variable "check_total" at check template level
Defined another variable "display_total" at check stub template level
check_total - <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total', PaymentAmount/Value) ?>
display_total - <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'display_total', xdoxslt:ifelse(PaymentAmount/Value='0', xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'check_total'),PaymentAmount/Value))?>
Now the column where I needed to display the total, I used
USD$<?format-number:xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, 'display_total');’999G999D99’?>
This solved my problem.

Put summery Columns calculating the SUM of both fields (reset at report)
& Set there property "print object on" to "last page".

Getting selected row values of a classic report

Hi Guys,
i'm using Apex 4.1,
I have a classic report on my apex page. First column of this report is check box for row selection. and its binded to primary key of a table. i know that i can get the selected row's primary key (Check box value) using APPLICATION_ITEM.G_FO1() function. What i need is how can i get the other cell values of the selected row ?

What do you want to do with them when you get them?
I can think of 2 possible approaches:
<li>Stick with the current report. On page submit you get an array of zero or more PKs. Create a collection with a row containing each PK. Whatever it is that you want to do next can then use a query that is a clone of the original report query plus a join to the PK values in the collection.
<li>Recreate the report with shadow <tt>apex_item.hidden</tt> columns in the query for each value. In the report column attributes, do not display the <tt>apex_item.hidden</tt> columns, but include them with each displayed column (or stuff them all into one column for convenience) using HTML Expressions. The values will then be available in <tt>apex_application.g_fxx</tt> arrays like the row selector checkbox.
I prefer the first one, but really it depends on what the next step is...
(If it's actually a tabular form then the values will be in other <tt>apex_application.g_fxx</tt> arrays.)

In a nutshell what I want to achieve is this: a cleint may own several properties, and have different percentage holding on each. Each property has a separate page of questions (the PDF above is that page). The first part of the equation is to calculate up the total equity in the property (TotEquity), and then based on the percentage holding (TotInterest), work out the individuals equity share for that property (TotalB). The form has the option to tell us about another property (addInstance), and we then have a second page with its own calculations and a new TotalB. This TotalB then becomes a running total for all pages added. Please can anyone help??

It shows how to loop through the instances of Page1. It does not appear to be working correctly (by my eye anyway). I am not convinced of multiplying the two values in the script.
Hopefully it will give you a direction.
A couple of things: I would not be inclined to name pages with a capital 'P' (Master pages are 'Page1'), I tend to name design pages as 'page1'. The font you are using is adding to the file size. Something like Myriad Pro is much smaller.

END-OF-PAGE not displayed in the last page of the classical report.

Hi all..
The END-OF-PAGE is not displayed in the last page of the classical report.
SY-LINCT value is 30.
Lines displayed in the report per page is 24.
[3 for TOP-OF-PAGE and 3 for END-OF-PAGE]
My Internal table has 6942 records.
It comes 289 pages with 24 records in a page and 290 th page with 6 records.
The END-OF-PAGE is not coming for the 290 th page.
Please help.

Does Classic report in apex provide provision to make the report-total row editable(hyperlinked) ? if so how to implement that.

You didn't mention what version of Apex you are using. If you are on 4.0, this can be done easily using dynamic actions.

How to get the total number of pages printed in a report?

I have a requirement where I need to print a frame of fields only in the last page. Unfortunately I cannot use the 'Print Object On' property as it doesnt work in my case. So, I am planning to write a format trigger on the frame to return TRUE if the page is the last physical page. Now, I need to know how to get the total number of physical pages that will get printed in the report so that I can use this to manipulate the frame. I was planning to use the 'Total Physical Pages' built-in, but it seems like I can just use it to print in a field and I can't use this field's value anywhere in the plsql code (formula column function/format trigger) in the report. Is there anyway to get the total number of pages printed in the report which can be used in the report plsql code?

2 Classic Reports with edit fields on the same page

Hi All, need your help.
I am trying to have 2 classic reports on one page with edit fields like date, list values, text
I have noticed that the element indexes are the same f01_0001 have both first elements from both reports.
This is making my code go crazy.
Also i have a problem with Date Picker, if i select it as a column type for a first element in second report the icon shows up in the first report.
I think this is because of indexing, but... Classic Date Picker put the icon on second report but when i select the date, the values is populated to first column in first report
Does anyone have a solution for this problem! (for example change the indexing for second report)
DB is 11.2g
Apex is 4.2.0.00.27

Are these tabular forms, ie updteable.

Internal Server Error when Displaying Total No. of Pages in Oracle Reports

Hello all,
I've already posted an almost similar message in the Developer Tools forums but would like to post it again here since we think that this is a problem with the report server (Maybe we're missing a patch, a configuration value not set properly or resources are not enough like memory).
We're using Oracle Reports Server ver10.1.2.0.2 and we're encountering an Internal Server Error when a particular report retrieves around 10K records which displays on each page the current page and the total no of pages. When we only display the current page, the report does not encounter any error.
When we enabled the tracing options, it just showed that it encountered a Null pointer exception.

[2006/7/13 11:1:4:765] Exception 50125 (java.lang.NullPointerException

And according to metalink (Doc Id:315228.1), we should just remove the total pages in our report. Problem is that this isn't an option for us. The document also mentioned about something about timeouts. We have already tried setting the request timeout parameter of the HTTP server to larger values but it still doesn't solve the problem.
Is there a workaround for this?

Total No of pages different in report printed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8)

Currently in our application, we are using Crystal Report XI R2 for generating the reports. We are in the process of upgrading the Crystal Report to SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). I updated that on my machine and all the reports work fine. I didn't have to modify any of the reports.
However when comparing the reports, we found that there are few reports on which the total no. of pages differ from the report displayed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). Comparing the reports, it looks all the data that were fit on one page earlier with version XI R2 doesn't fit on the same page with version 13.8, thereby increasing the page counts.
The fonts, page margins everything set on report itself. Nothing being set in the code.
Both the application is using the same report that is pulling the data from the same database. Our application is a web application.
Any suggestion, why this is happening.

CRXI R2 designer to CRVS?
CR XI R2 in some version of .NET to CRVS?
CR XI R2 using RDC SDK to CRVS?
Also, is this happening on your development computer or after you deploy?
If you compare the the "Page setup" options dialog between reports that work and those that do not work, do you see any difference?
Is this a web or a win app?
Are you seeing the same issue when viewing and exporting - say export to PDF?
What is the printer driver used and it's version?
