CLASSIFIACTION_DESTINATION - What roles must the user have?

Hi all,
I have created the CLASSIFICATION_DESTINATION in PI 7.1.
Now I want to publish a service from ERP.
I get always the same error:
Error during cache update for classification system meta data/values
Invalid Response code (401). Server
<http://<server>:<port>/Classifi cationService/CS?style=document>
returned message <Unauthorized>.
The user has the roles:
SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE
SERVICES_REGISTRY_READ_ONLY
UDDI_Admin
What other roles need the user?
Any ideas?

We have the same problem, while publishing service through programm "PRG_ER_SERVICES_PUBLICATION". All configs for Logical Port, destinations e.t.c. were made properlyб and worked correctly. But after EhP4 was installed, this error occured first time.
What is version of your system?

You need following roles ::
SAP_ALM_ADMINISTRATOR         --> Alert Management Administrator
SAP_ALM_CUSTOMIZER              --> Alert Management: Role for Customizing
SAP_BC_ALM_ADMIN                       -->
SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER           --> ALM: Role for the alert user
SAP_BC_ALM_CUST

You can get Roles but can you get the Role of the user

Can you display or hide items dependant on the roles of the logged in user is assigned too.
I know you can do this for the menu using menu.json

But what about for other elements inside the app. Is there a way to get the roles of the user logged in.
Is this missing as a feature or am I missing some pieces.

I just want to hide or remove a page element ie if(adminUserRole != 'Admin') {$('#element').remove}. Just some way to see the roles of the admin user that is logged. But yes early days.
On a side note BC are looking to launch the project and advertise the store on the 17th is this not a bit ahead of themselves if there is a potential that apps functionality may be reduced because of new policies, restrictions etc even if only temporarily. Once apps hit the masses this may cause some tension when people loose functions they once had.
Edit :Ok BC have already changed the date of the launch. I jumped the gun in saying this as they have it all under control.

AS A OUTPUT YOU MAY GET ROLE ASSIGNED TO THAT USER.

Assiging Roles to the User

Hai All,
I am new to EP I have some predefined users and when I am trying to login using those users I am getting message <b>"No portal roles are assigned for this user.If this problem persists, contact your system administrator"</b>.When I am trying to assigne roles to the user I am getting the message <b>"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://xi1:50000/irj/portal. Operation aborted"</b>.
I my self is handling the server too, so Please Help me out..

Have you patched you server as this was a problem on SP9.
You need to patch your server first.

If you are trying to create a table in a schema other than your own, you must have the CREATE ANY TABLE system privilege.

Hi,
Standard roles are not assigned to users directly.Make sure that copy the role from standard roles then change naming convention like your company specification.
Ex: standard role : SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO
Step:1: go to t-code: PFCG and give the role name in role tab SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO
Step:2: press copy button and change the naming convention.
Step:3: Assign to the user.

Receiving an error when trying to remove P00 Security role from the user

I am receiving an error when trying to remove P00 Security role from the user.
After logging on to GRC CUP, clicking on u201CCreate requestu201D, and filling out required information,
I click on Select Roles/Groups
On the next screen,
I click on Existing Roles/Groups
ERROR MESSAGE appears X Action failed and no roles appear in the box to select for removal.

My be your selection is incorrect
Try this
in Applicaiton Area -- Select ALL
Functional Area -
Select ALL
Company -
Select ALL
Role/Profile/Group Names --- Give p00* and execute the report
if you give only p00 it wont give any result

You can use any of the below Session Variables, click the Fx and enter the below
VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.displayname) - Displays the Full Name of the User that is logged in and running the report for that session
VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.user_alias) - Display's Alias Name of the User that is logged in and running the report for that session
For the role, I don't think there is a Session Variable.

What Roles should the gwconnector user have in CRM

Hi Guys,
I have setup GWConnector etc and have assigned GWConnector user with full admin rights on the CRM system.
I cannot find any document that tells me what roles this user must have etc?
Could one of you guys either tell me what they should be - or point me to the right documentation as itu2019s not in the groupware setup guide only the AD stuff?

Honeslty, that is up to you. I have customers that start off WLC and AP all in the same subnet, but it is not necessary. I also have customers that put the WLC mgmt in the 'server' VLAN, and the AP in their own.
IMHO, I like the WLC to be in 'server' or 'secured' VLAN, then I put the AP in their own VLAN that is locked down to only getting DHCP and talking to the WLC. that way if someone unplugs an AP and connects something they can't get anywhere.

What are required for RDBMS users to use OLAP API? Regarding page 6-9 of Oracle9i OLAP User's Guide 9.2.0.1, following access rights are required.
CONNECT role
QUERY REWRITE system privilege
SELECT privilegs on the database objects containing the data to be analyzed
So, I created a new user TEST1 and granted all the priviges above. Then I tried to create a new crosstab using New Crosstab Wizard in JDev903_pre(OLAPConnecton is using TEST1). When I choose a measure that is created in CWM1, I could create a crosstab without problem. But when I tried to create a crosstab from a measure that is created in CWM2 by OLAPSYS user, I recieved the following error.
BIB-9509 Oracle OLAP did not create cusor.
oracle.express.ExpressServerExceptionError class:OLAPI
Server error descriptions:
DPR: Unable to create server cursor, Generic at TxsOqDefinitionManager::createCursorManager
OES: ORA, Generic at TxsRdbSelectStatement:execute()
The curious thing is that I can create a crosstab from the same measure if I use another connection that uses OLAPSYS. Does the user that connects to CWM2 using OLAP API have to be the owner of those CWM2 objects?

The user does not have to be the owner of the cwm2 objects to access them. Access to cwm2 objects is based on database security. Therefore, if the user is not the owner of the object (if user is the owner, they obviously have access to the object), then as long as the user has been granted access to the underlying physical object (i.e., the table the dimension or cube has been mapped to), the user will be able to access the object.

Eventually... i have added my newly created user to the Administrators of EM (upper-rightmost corner of EM)...selection "Setup"....
I don't know if this action has indirectly issued a command like this : grant role MGMT_ROLE TO <user>......!!!!!
