  • Classpath settings changed in new JDeveloper?

    In the tutorial for SOAP web services it says the following:
    Change the default location to <JDeveloper_home>\soap\webapps\soap\soap\WEB-INF\lib. This puts the file in the classpath automatically, and the server does not need to be stopped and restarted.
    This worked fine with RC 2, but now with the new version of JDeveloper the classes cannot be found any more, so you have to specify an additional classpath and manually restart the server to get a web service running.
    Who changed the classpath settings and how do I get this hint described in the help back running?
    Thanks in advance
    sven

    Sven, could you elaborate on which tutorial you are working with? There is the one in the JDev reviewers guide, the ones from OC4J, one in the JDeveloper help and also the new one that is just of the OTN home page today.
    My guess is that you are trying to run the sample from when the tutorial covered using Apache SOAP 2.2 versus using the built-in OC4J web services that the tutorials now cover. If you want to continue using Apache SOAP 2.2, that directory you refer to will not be created until you deploy the soap.ear file.
    If you are using the built-in OC4J in Oracle9i JDeveloper, you should be able to automatically get these directories created by doing the following:
    - Exit to DOS
    - Start up OC4J
    * cd <jdev_home>\j2ee\home
    * ..\..\jdk\bin\java -jar oc4j.jar -install
    * enter password: welcome (or whatever)
    * re-enter password welcome
    * ..\..\jdk\bin\java -jar oc4j.jar
    - Check out that the Apache SOAP 2.2 servet is working ... go to your browser and type:
    http://127.0.0.1/soap/servlet/soaprouter
    and you should get something like "Sorry, I don't speak HTTP GET
    If that has worked, then the directory structure you refer to should have been created successfully.

  • LD_JAVA, classpath settings in .profile for oracle on unix installations

    I need details about setting LD_JAVAPATH /JAVA related classpath settings etc. That i remember seeing sometime ago, but cannot find the required settings in my current oracle 10g installation guide on solaris 10!! the DBCA wizard is failing and I need to set the JAVA related paths/dirs properly.

    There are some notes on installation on solaris 10g, but so far, there it is not mentioned any LD_JAVA variable.

    From the official installation guide, it states this as the set of environment variables you must define: http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/install.102/b15690/pre_install.htm#i1011717

  • URGENT:  Incomplete classpath settings

    hi all,
           When we create the project for the development component in NWDS 2004.
    The Development component is having lot of errors. There is no default jarfiles available for the project in java build path --> libraries. When we add the jar ifles externally thro add external jar files, it is having the error,
          <b>The project is incomplete since its classpath is incomplete. cannot find the class file for com.sap.tc.logging.Location.</b>
          <b>This compilation unit indirectly refernces the missing type com.sap.tc.logging.Location.</b>
            Please note that we are accessing the remote server by creating the track, all the developments are made under the track only. If we create the same development component under local development means there is no error. We find one more thing that, under the track there is no jar files available as like in our local development. How to add the these jar files to the track.
    Please guide us to solve  these issues. Issue is in high prioity.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Starting jconsole  with both memory and classpath settings?

    Hi, I need jconsole to start with one of my libraries in the classpath, in order to have some exposed operations/attributes to work. At the sime time, since the process I'm launching is Memory Heap intensive after a while jconsole returns an error related to the memory heap not being enough. If I try to specify the following command:
    jconsole -J-Xmx512m-Djava.class.path=%JAVA_HOME%/lib/jconsole.jar;%JAVA_HOME%/lib/tools.jar;target/fido-web/WEB-INF/lib/fido-core-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jarJConsole doesn't start. However the following one:
    jconsole -J-Djava.class.path=%JAVA_HOME%/lib/jconsole.jar;%JAVA_HOME%/lib/tools.jar;target/fido-web/WEB-INF/lib/fido-core-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.jarworks fine. I tried to specify the memory settings everywhere, but with no luck. Could somebody help please?
    Thanks.

  • Apache CLASSPATH Settings

    We have developed a Banking Application using JDeveloper 3.1 and its under UAT on Oracle8i 8.1.6 and OAS 4.0.8.2.0. I have to migrate from OAS to iAS becuase of a BUG in OAS.
    I have installed iAS (HTTP Server only) on another machine, now I am not able to find any web interface for doing settings like CLASSPATH etc. like we get in OAS. Can anyone please help, how to do these settings through iAS.
    Thanx in advance

    I don't know if I am right. iAS uses Apache WebServer and Apache Jserv. If thats the case then look under Apache/htdocs/conf directory.
    There you will find httpd.conf file.
    Under Apache/JServ/conf/ you will find jserv.conf and jserv.properties file. If you can't locate these directories then just do a search for these files.
    jserv.properties is the file in which you specify wrapper.classpath etc.

  • Help me in classpath settings/Connection Pooling

    i found this error:
    Operation 'pingConnectionPool' failed in 'resources' Config Mbean. Target exception message: Class name is wrong or classpath is not set for : com.microsoft.jdbcx.sqlserver.SQLServerDataSource
    where do i need to change is there an error in the jvm classpath or
    is it due to connection 2 the Server

    Dear Customer,
    As you can see, your pre-requisite checks are failing because you are not on supported OS version.
    Please verify supported OS from SRSP guide (If you are on prior Siebel version 8.1.1.8) or Certification tab for all siebel versions from 8.1.1.9.
    I hope it helps.

  • Classpath settings of java for fedora5.0

    Hello All,
    I've just switched from windows to fedora5.0(linux), and have no knowledge how and from where i've to set classpath for java. Java comes inbuild with this OS, but what version it is?????any help either the full procedure or some helpful links will be greatly appreciated......thnx in adv.

    In the past, one of the major criticisms of Linuxhas
    been that it has been difficult for Jo Public touse.
    As a consequence, the move in Linux has beentowards
    ease of use and making the interface for Jo Public
    use the same metaphors as Windows. So, from a
    cosmetic point of view, Linux distributions have
    started to look like Windows BUT beneath thesurface
    they are still Linux.
    I like FCx.But from a developer's point of view, I don't think
    FC should be the choice. Developer's are here to
    learn a lot. I learnt a lot about how things actually
    go at the OS level after using linux which windows
    never provides. If everything is abstracted by FC
    through that UI, a developer will turn sluggish and
    never care to exploit the power of linux. I don't buy this. I use Linux for development and I use bash, Perl, Python, sed, awk, emacs etc etc etc. One does not have to use all these tools but if a developer wants to he can - he is not forced to use just the Windows like features.
    >
    Slack I always felt was made for developersl and a
    lot more stable than FC. Suse is more on the UI
    side, but it's as good as slack.I like UNIX/Linux. I currently use Ubuntu as my primary Linux but have installed though WMWare CentOS, Foresight, Slackware, FC7 and FreeBSD. I also have Windows XP and Windows 2000 installed though VMWare. I develop on Ubuntu and mainly use the other Linux/UNIX version to test my software.
    My favorite Linux version is FC7 and I will probably move back to using it as my primary in the near future. I hated the install of Slackware and FreeBSD - they are so old-fashioned.

  • What are CLASSPATH settings to run WLST scripts from JYTHON

    Hi,
    I am trying to run a Jython script that uses WLST calls.
    Following steps were done
    1. Run WLST.sh
    2. writeinit("wl.py")
    3. Invoke Jython and then do "import wl"
    The import fails with error
    from weblogic.management.scripting.utils import WLSTUtil
    ImportError: No module named weblogic
    Looking at the wlst.sh, it extends classpath for bunch of jars like
    if [ -d "${WLST_HOME}/lib" ] ; then
    for file in "${WLST_HOME}"/lib/*.jar ; do
    CLASSPATH="${CLASSPATH}${CLASSPATHSEP}${file}"
    done
    fi
    Question - what are all the files to be added to classpath ? Is there a script to explicitly set classpath for all relevant jars for WLST usage ?
    Any help will be appreciated

    You shouldn't need to press the Sync button. In the Pod options menu for the share pod, with the PPT loaded, you will see an option for Show Presentation Playbar. Use that to get the Play button for the Hosts and Presenters in the room, and press play. The presentation will now play in a looped mode for everyone in a synchronized mode. You can also then hide the playbar to keep other Hosts and Presenters from stopping the playback and the Participants will never see the playbar or have the option to stop the presentation.
    Additionally, if your focus is on the Share pod (has the focus highlight), you can use the 'P' key to begin playing the presentation without revealing the playbar to anyone. Adobe Connect 9 * Accessibility features

  • CLASSPATH settings for finding ResourceBundle files

    When trying to load a PropertyResourceBundle within my servlet I receive the Exception MissingResourceBundle.
    My CLASSPATH points to %TOMCAT_HOME%/webapps/<webapp>/data, which is the location of the *.properties-files.
    OS: Win2K
    Tomcat: 4.0
    JRE: 1.3.0 (although J2SDK 1.4 is installed as well)
    Also I want to access the properties-files from JSP's at that location as well.
    ADowning
    PS:
    when placing the properties-files in %TOMCAT_HOME%/work/localhost/<webapp> I can access them from JSP's.

    Thank you.
    Just one thing :
    I use Eclipse to generate my applications.
    I have to put my property files on the root source folder (/java Source) else the property file was suppressed when rebuild classes files. The property is automaticaly copied to the classes folder when rebuild.
    I think a good way is to not directly use the property file name, but put this name on an init parameter of the web.xml file (use config.getInitParameter("logicalName") to retrieve).
    So, if I only specifie the file Name, the /classes/fileName.properties that will be used but I can specifie a "hard path" to this file.

    However there is one question that I have for you.
    Is it possible to package an application that uses webflows and pipelines into

    If this is possible then where do I package my webflow files(.wf)?
    This is something that I have been trying but not been able to acheive. Would

  • What are the basic .jar files to be set in web dynpro project classpath

    Hi,
    I am having a problem while customizing the ESS. I used DTR, DC and imported configuration. After that, I created project from one of the DC(say ess/jp/addr). Later when I open an iView from any Web Dynpro component, I am getting lot of errors without even making any modifications.

    java -ms64m -mx64m -classpath "@c:/temp/foo.tmp" ...... I receive the
    following error:
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/Server
    Has anyone been able to perform this succesfully

    Kirk,
    Can you test without the quotes(")
    -classpath @c:/temp/foo.tmp
    The CMDLINE should be something like this
    set CMDLINE="-ms64m -mx64m -classpath @D:\610\cp.txt
    -Dweblogic.Domain=examples -Dweblogic.Name=testserver
    -Djava.security.policy==\"d:\610\wlserver6.1/lib/weblogic.policy\"
    -Dbea.home=\"d:\610\" weblogic.Server"
    Hope this helps

    We are using WLS 6.0 and beasvc to start the server as an NT service.
    Within the registry for the service, there is a cmdline value that we would
    like to substitute the whole classpath settings for just a file that
    contains the information. In a previous post from someone, we saw that we
    would use the following:
    -classpath "@c:/temp/foo.tmp"

  • Can I set classpath for OAS 10g?

    Hi,<br>
    <br>
    I have OAS on my workstation. Here are the details.<br>
    Server : Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 <br>
    Version : 10.1.3.1.0 SOA4<br>
    Build : 061008.0900.00025<br>
    Platform : Windows XP - SP2<br>
    <br>
    I want to set an explicit classpath for complete OAS 10g as such and not to an individual oc4j application. Will I be able to do it?<br>
    I saw the System Properties after my server started.<br>
    It has a name-value pair as "java.class.path oc4j.jar".<br>
    So, I assume all my classpath settings (done thru Environment Variables from My Computer) are lost.?<br> I want to set it explicitly during the server startup itself. Can I do that?<br>
    I tried setting below in the opmn.xml <br>
    <process-set id="ASG" numprocs="1"><br>
         <module-data>          <br>                         <category id="start-parameters">     <br>               <data id="start-executable" value="C:\Oracle\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\jdk\bin\java"/>     <br>               <data id="start-args" value="-classpath C:\abc\properties\"/><br>
    I appended my properties folder after all the jar files present in that tag.<br>
    But its not loading any of my properties files.<br>
    <br>
    Can someone please help me out.<br>
    <br>
    Regards,<br>
