Clean up user in OEM

I am trying to create an user in GRID and it kept saying "the user already existed", I did check on the UI and the user doesn't exists so I am curious if anyone knows the table in SYSMAN that had the user so I can clean up and recreate it.
thanks

Grid Control authenticates against the normal set of database accounts in the repository database. This set of users is found in the dba_users view, or from within Grid Control (Server - Security - Users). What sets the Grid Control users apart from other users is the MGMT_USER role that they have been granted.

  • Replace HDD on W510 + clean install and transfer OEM licence

    Hi,
    I've bought a new thinky W510 and as always I wanted to start with a clean install.
    Normally I insert the OEM DVD of W7, type in the OEM licence of the machine and do a clean install.
    To my surprise, neither the OEM DVD of W7 nor the OEM licence is present.
    How am i suppose to do a clean install or replace the standard HDD by another one (say SSD)?
    Since I already paid for a W7 licence, I should receive my licence and install media.
    Regards,
    Sven Peeters
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
    As far as I know, no manufacturer ships OEM DVD of any OS today, if you want to do clean installation then you would need to buy installation media which is fairly cheap, it's even (legally) available for download (the link also includes installation instructions). As for license key, it's under the battery compartment.
    Before doing clean install, I'd suggest making recovery discs first.
    Hope this helps.
    EDIT: Some installation instructions from lenovo:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-74108.html

  • Clean up user certificate in Lync Database for Deleted Account

    Hi all,
    I have a case in which several user accounts have been deleted from AD. And not like Exchange, deleted user from AD does not remove Lync data (i dont get it why they design it differently).
    From lync server, get-csusercertificate and get-csuser for those deleted account has no result as expected.
    But when i use dbanalyze /report:user for those deleted account, the user certificate is still there.
    I run Update-CsUserDatabase -Force -FQDn xyz.domain.local still the user certificates are there.
    How can i clean up those certificates instead of waiting them to be expired?
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the feedback.
    Surely because of this issue, we need remove certificate on clients, and do the "proper" way for further account deletion.
    If anyone curious about this case, I suggest everyone using Lync Server spend some time to try this scenario:
    1. Create user on your AD (ie: [email protected] wait for replication or force it)
    2. Enable Lync account for that user
    3. Logon to a PC with Lync Client (i used Lync Client 2013), logon using the
    [email protected] , DONT FORGET To Save Password - that's what user usually do. You may do chat, add contacts, etc.
    4. From Lync server, with command prompt, go to Lync ResKit directory, run the following command dbanalyze.exe /report:user /user:[email protected] /sqlserver:<FQDN of Lync Server>\RTCLocal.
    At the bottom of the report, there will be information about the invoked certificate with Device ID, Publication Time, and Expiration Time, and the certificate itself. There will be more than 1 certificate for test.user if you logon to another PC and save
    the password too.
    5. Now, from user PC, logoff from Lync Client. Logon to your AD, delete [email protected], wait for some time for replication.
    6. Now go back to user PC, sign in with Lync Client. Amazingly you're still be able to sign in to Lync, do the chat, and everything, as long as you haven't delete the sign in info.
    7. For admin perspective, you may use Get-CsUser for the [email protected], or Get-CsUserCertificate or any Get-CS command, there will be no [email protected] on your Lync Server, but if you use
    dbanalyze, there will be a quite information about that user along with their certificate. <= This is the one i haven't figure any way to clean it up.
    8. Funny thing is, if you ever notice on your Lync Server, the normal user account who logon and logoff using IM client app, will be logged on Lync Server eventviewer (Windows Log - Security). But the
    [email protected] will not be logged on the eventviewer, therefore you won't know where they are login from (what PC), like a ghost account.
    I am expecting at least there is some kind of other ResKit to clean up this junk data from server database.

  • Clean out user table in LiveCycle Database

    I need to clear out the users from the the EDCPrincipalUserEntity database.  Are there any scripts that can do this since the guids are tied to other tables?
    Thanks,

    I checked with our User Manager guys.  Unfortuntely, this is not possible without messing up things.

  • How do I create a CLEAN new user?

    I get a cl_kernels plugin error after login; cannot open new finder windows, Terminal.app does not start, Safari quits unexpectedly, the clock in the menu ba never shows, things are generally unusable. I deleted that account and created new ones. Using a different username all is fine. Creating a new username and transferring all the old data, incl. the Library folder, all is fine. BUT, creating a new user account with the old username (that was working fine since 10.0, six lower case letters only), I get the same old error.
    The problem started to appear shortly after installing the box.net and GoogleDrive clients -- not sure whether that'd be related. Any ideas?

    System Preferences>Users and Groups. Make a new user. (follow the arrow)

  • Where to find number of concurrent users in 10g OEM

    I have recelntly installed an instance in oracle 10g release2 rdbms.Is this possible to find the number of concurrent users in OEM.If yes please show me the steps.

    The number of concurrent users can be limited by the SESSION initialization parameter.
    But it can also be limited by insufficient or misused resources. It is possible to set the system to permit 30,000 concurrent users (per your post in the Installattion forum) and go into heavy swapping or paging, causing the system to not accept the required number of users.
    A lot depends on the real load characteristics you expect - you may want to consider shared server or RAC configuration for certain load types.
    My instinct is to have very careful planning sessions, with several experienced Oracle DBAs and developers, around the instance configuration.

  • How to provide access to login oem to another user except sysman?

    Hi,
    i have installed OracleGrid 10.2.0.3 in windows 2003 server and configuared 10 servers and 15 databases in oem. i created one user in oem repository database. that user should access only two databases through oem. how configuare this?
    Thanks,

    You should not create a super administrator to meet your requirement. So, uncheck the 'super administrator' and choose only the targets which you need to provide access. Follow all the six steps of user creation. You can also provide a full access or just view only.

De-allocating/re-allocating extents is a fairly expensive operation, and it is assumed that if a table once needed an extent it will probably need it again, so it is not routinely de-allocated just because it is empty at the moment.

  • Windows 8.1 install won't accept OEM product key

    I downloaded the Windows 8.1 RTM ISO from TechNet today and wanted to test it on a Thinkpad W530 I have here that has a Windows 8 Pro OEM licence.
    When I mounted the ISO and ran the setup it's prompting for a product key. I'm confused because my understanding is the product key is stored in the UEFI bios and I was expecting the 8.1 setup to detect it. During the original Windows 8 installation it never
    prompted for the product key and activated without issue.
    I've checked my product keys on TechNet and I have 3 unclaimed keys for 8.1 that I assume would work but It'd be preferable for me to retain my OEM licence.
    I used Magic Jellybean to obtain the OEM key but the 8.1 setup won't accept it and returns "That key can't be used to activate this edition of Windows. Please try a different key."
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    OEM activation is performed by associating the operating system to the firmware of the computer. This process occurs before the computer is sent to the customer so that the software is already activated and no additional actions are required by the user.
    OEM activation remains valid as long as the customer uses the OEM-provided image on the computer.
    So, if you want to clean install Windows 8.1, you need to input the Windows 8.1 install key to accomplish the Windows installation, after that you can try to activate your system by network or Phone. Meanwhile, I want to know did you got any Windows 8.1
    product key when you download Windows 8.1 from TechNet? If so, you can try to use them when you install Windows 8.1.

  • How to log into Mountain Lion if the FileVault user can't unlock the drive?

    I have a computer that has the FileVault user not able to decrypt the drive. I've read on how to get into the machine and have successfully done so a few times. This has been accomplished by creating a new Admin user, deleting the original user, recreating it as a clean new user. Each time I give the computer back to the owner and he tries to restore from a backup. The problem is, he restores and it creates the same problem.
    The most recent time he did this, I could not for the life of me figure out how to create a new user. When I try to log in as the FileVault user I get the "unable to log into filevault user account at this time" error.
    The only way I could figure out how to get another admin user created so that I could delete his user was to reinstall the OS. Is that the only way this can be done?

    I don't think Verizon will release the username and password to the camera administration to prevent people from doing what you want to do.
    Even if you have the username / password, I would imagine there is a hefty equipment charge if you don't return the camera, which will make it cheaper to just buy a camera in retail stores.

  • Multiple obSSOCookies in a single user session

    Hi ,
    I have written a web service to update my users in ADAM directory. The web method creates IDXML requests and sends it to the Identity Server.
    My web method looks like this
    [WebMethod]
    public void UpdateUserProfile(string userGuid, UserProfile profile, string obSsoCookie) where userGUID is the CN attribute.
    I do call this webmethod from a web application to update multiple users. Since my web method supports only one update at a time, I have to call this method in a loop and pass on the user details. I wont be able to add a bulk update web method due to other constraints.
    Now every time, when I call this web method from my client ASP.NET application (Updating users from my client application) , I also pass on a new obSSOCookie, in the same session.
    The client method signature which I use to call the web method is
    utils.UpdateUserProfile(foundProfile[iProfile].Guid, profile, CommonFunctions.GetOIMSSOCookie());
    The GetOIMSSOCookie method generates a new cookie on every call by posting my account credentials to webgate.
    However, the update fails sporadically after updating few users. The error logs which I see is (logs have been masked)

    The update fails because in between, the obssocookie sets to LoggedOut Continue.
    Should I be using a single obSSOCookie for the entire update operation, by getting a cookie and storing it in a temp string variable? If not, then what could be reason the cookie getting timed-out?
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you,

    Hi Sudhakar,
    try some thing like this.Here I have enclosed the code snippet.
         String query = USER_ID + "=" + user.getUserId()+ "," + people;
                        // add the user to the LDAP directory
    //                    ctx.createSubcontext( query, attrNew );
                        Attribute att1 = new BasicAttribute(MEMBEROF);
                        String roleName=user.getUserRoleList().get(0);
                        String role1 = COMMONNAME + "="+roleName+"," + group;
                        att1.add(role1);
                        attrNew.put(att1);
                        DirContext dirContext =ctx.createSubcontext( query, attrNew );
                        for (int i = 1; i < user.getUserRoleList().size(); i++) {
                             Attributes att2 = new BasicAttributes();
                             String roleNameStr=user.getUserRoleList().get(i);
                             log.debug("roleNameStr--->"+roleNameStr);
                             String role2 = COMMONNAME + "="+roleNameStr+"," + group;
                             log.debug("role2-->"+role2);
                             att2.put(MEMBEROF,role2);
                             dirContext.modifyAttributes("", DirContext.ADD_ATTRIBUTE, att2);
                        }
