This happens in JDev 10.1.3, when focus on a project or any file under a project.

The way items are added to projects has changed in 10.1.3. The project properties dialog has a "project content" node, which is where you configure which items show up. Check out the "what's new" page for some details.

Any suggestions on how to resolve the "The content folder is not under the specified source root." issue? When I click "OK" on the Project Properties I get an "An output directory must be specified." alert box. Clicking "Cancel" clears the panel.

Hi,
please check with another "fresh" project. The error message
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The content folder is not under the specified source root.
indicates that you messed up with the project file location, which no longer seem to be in the defined source directory.
Close all workspaces and projects in JDeveloper, and create a new project accepting the default settings. This should work then

There is new functionality to a ‘Layout’ type personalization page like ‘Sales Dashboard’.

Add a “Create Content” button and let the user create a piece of content that extends to a region he creates.

Instead, you will see the Page Hierarchy Personalization page, page 4-12, where you can perform the same personalization functions, using a descriptive tabular user interface.
It tried this and can’t get it to display.
Has anyone run accross this before?

Can you describe your issue in detail forgetting those references for the time being. What exactly are you trying to do?
Check this from the dev guide:
In order to be able to take full advantage of page layout personalization capabilities, it is important when you create your configurable page, to use flexibleLayout and flexibleContent regions at all levels when you create the page hierarchy structure under your page layout region. In Oracle Applications, this is required, as it is the coding standard.

Add to my Dropbox button unresponsive

Whenever you try to add something into the Dropbox account and you click the "add to my Dropbox " button it doesn't do anything

Hard to say with knowing the apps you are working in, but a couple of suggestions:
Check the app you are working in and make sure it is set up to access DropBox (in some cases you do have to sign in to DropBox from teh app).
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

To Read the contents of the properties file which is located in webserver

I have one requirement where I have to read the contents of a property file which is located in some path in server. Say for example, when you click on link abcd then contents of abcd.properties file should be displayed in one text view in webdynpro . I am trying to implement this in webdynpro for java. The main thing is like I am not able to retrieve the server path of the file and hence not getting the file contents. I tried using methods like getApplicationPath() or getRealPath() but its not working. So can you guys please help me on to how to read the server file contents.

Thanks a lot for your reply. However, I forgot to mention one thing in my question. Its like the path will be different everytime. Say, we have systems like development, acceptance, production. So when the user clicks on the link abcd, it should take the path of development system and similarly when the user clicks on the link in acceptance or production, the path will be different. say for example, in development the path will be
usr/cluster/dev/abcd.properties but it acceptance it will be usr/cluster/acc/abcd.properties. So just want to know whether this will work? Anyway, I will give this a try.

Original clip is letterboxed, but when I add to project it isn't.

I've seen lots of topics on iMovie letterbox'ing a project, but the opposite is happening to me.
I imported some clips (not from a camera) to iMovie that are in a widescreen letterbox format. All I want to do is stitch them together and add some chapter markers for iDVD. I imported them as full size, and the project format is set to WS 16:9.
When I preview my project ("Play selected events, full screen" button), the clips are all zoomed in with the images on the edge of the screen gone, and the letterboxing almost completely gone. However, when I preview the clips from the library, they appear fine. All I did was drag the clips to the project section.
How do I get iMovie to just keep the original format?

In iMovie's Menu go to File>Project Properties. In the window that appears, set "Initial Video Placement" to "Fit in Frame".
You can also choose the setting for individual clips. At the beginning of each clip, when the cursor is hovered over the clip, click on the small gear icon that appears, then select "Cropping & Rotation". In the viewer, in the top left corner is a panel showing a selection for Fit, Crop and Ken Burns. Select "Fit".
Hopefully, selecting Fit will fix the problem for you.

How to add folder/project name to a File Naming preset

Here's a tip to automatically add the name of the Project or its parent Folder to the filename during Import or Batch Change.
I always used a custom field for adding my client's name to the filename upon Import or Batch Changing versions or masters. But often I would forget to change the custom name, and since it's auto-populated with the previous entry, I'd end up with a bunch of files with the wrong client's name on them. That looks kind of bad. So once I saw with Aperture 3 you can add the Project name or Folder name when relocating referenced files to the new folder structure, I was excited to be able to do the same for the filenames at import. Well, no such luck. They're not an option when you create a custom File Naming preset.
However, I recently decided to poke around inside some plist files, and found a workaround. I discovered the format string for Folder Name is %F and Project Name is %P. The trick is getting the code into the Format Field where you create the preset.
Create a new File Naming preset by choosing "edit" from the Version Name menu during Import or Batch Change. Drag everything you want in the name into the Format field, and enter %F or %P where you want the Folder or Project name. The tricky part is that you can't insert it between two existing criteria. It only works at the very end. After you have it in place, you can drag the criteria around to get it in the order you want.
The alternative method is to insert the code directly into the plist. PLEASE, always make sure you're working with a copy and have a good backup when you're poking around in such things. If you have trouble getting the code to take from within Aperture, you can try this. Same as above, create a new preset, but this time, enter an F or P where you want the Folder or Project name. Give it a unique preset name and save it. Then Quit Aperture. Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/FileNamingPresets.plist, and make a copy of the file, then open with Property List Editor. Dropdown the plist and then dropdown the item you want to edit. You should recognize it by the preset name. Now the easy part. Click in the FormatString field and insert the % character before the F or P you entered in the Format field. Save and you're done.
I discovered later that while the Folder and Project name works just fine during import, for some reason only the Project name works during Batch Change. The Folder name simply creates a "-" in the filename.
In case this is seen as a hack and gets deleted, I'm also submitting it to http://www.macosxhints.com/ and I suspect if anyone from MacCreate sees it, they'll steal it too, as they're known to do.

I do not think there is an out of the box way to do this.
The immediate solution that comes to mind is using a workflow, that runs everytime a document is uploaded/item created, which may be too much for your scenario.

Unable to add a Project File in RoboSource Control

Hi this is Savana Chandra Shekhar,
I am working on RoboHelp 9 with RoboSource Control 3.
Scanario 1: There are two users who want to work on the same project file from different location using RoboHelp and using version control 3. we have a server located in US and i myself located in India. Now, when i am trying to add or load the Project file in Robosource, i am unable to load or add the project file as the file size is around 160 MB.
Scanario 2: When i am using "add to version control" option after setting up the connection (By Proving : Connection Name, Server, Port No., Port Type), i am getting the as displayed below. Please refer the Image attached.
I will be greatful to you if you can please provide some firm solution regarding this issue.

I can. This is a bug you are seeing we will have fixed in a future release. You are working in a "Local" form (not an online form) and that "Add submit button" should not be shown at all, that is only for an online form. If you move your form online when signed in, then it would have a Submit button automatically in Web View and in Page View would be able to be turned on and off.

VS2013 Community Edition : How to add multiple projects in one solution?

I am an experienced .Net developer. I am using Visual Studio since 2005.
Yesterday, I just installed “Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition”. Suddenly I came to know that I can’t add multiple projects to a solution. Even a project does not have
solution !!
I had also tried to create a blank Visual Studio solution and then tried to add projects to that solution. But after creation of project, it will not be added to that solution.
Infact it even doesn’t have solution !!
How can I add multiple projects to a solution in VS2013 Community Edition?

IMovie crashes when click on create iDVD project

IMac Power PCG5 1.8 GHz, 768 MB DDR SDRAM, running Tiger (can't find the version, but must be the latest)
iMovie 4.0.1
iDVD 4.0.1
I worked on my iMovie project for months, I cliked iDVD on the right, added chapters. When I click on "Create iDVD project" I get a message which says that "Your movie contains still, and/or slow motions, reverse clips which need to be rendered for export to iDVD or DV tape".
I click on "Render and Proceed" and the program crashes.
Previously, the program also warned me that 39 stray clips had to be put in the clips panel, and I did it.
The first time I clicked on the rendering it did start rendering, but it stopped after a few minutes (right when a CD I was importing into iTunes at the same time finished importing...could it matter?). Since then, it does noit even start rendering.
In the past, I have succesfully made two movies with iMovie and iDVD, burned them on DVDs etc, but I was using earlier versions of the sofware and OSX. So I feel I am not a total incompetent.
Thanks for any tips or suggestions to anybody who has them!

Try this instead:
When You have added the Chapters.
a) Close iMovie
b) find the project icon/folder
c) Ctrl-click on it and Show package.
d) in this there are a folder -> Shared Movies -> iDVD
e) in this there is a QT movie nnnnnnn.mov
- You can test this with QT-player to see that it is OK -
f) drop this into an open theme in iDVD (just inside the edge of the
window) and save it as a desktop image
(if iDVD prior HD/5 You have to add a hack to make this possibly
named HPfurz and install it)
Test this with Apple DVD-player - OK then burn it with iDVD
or Toast if You have and dont want to re-code the movie.

Add Content button not rendered inside Portlets on edit mode

Hi,
I have a requirement where administrators will add some external content(Add content) either from taskflow or portlet and that external content (along with taskflow output) will be shown to the users based on some logic performed inside the taskflow/portlet bean code.
This PanelCustomziable should render AddContent button inside the portlet when pressing ctrl shiftE, but its no doing so? Where as the same PanelCustomizable renders AddContent button inside the taskflow on edit page? Any settings or changes needs to be done to make it work in porlet when consumed in portal?
a)taskflow cannot be selected for this purpose, as there will be only a single instance of the taskflow across the portal and it cannot retain runtime MDS changes to a specific instance (Unless we design the ADF taskflow with MDS customization layer). By default, any runtime change in one taskflow instance will be propagated to all the other taskflow instances of the portal.
(For eg.. Admin drops this taskflow onto a page1 and adds a image(external content) using the button AddContent inside the taskflow because of PanelCustomizable and close the page. He drops the same taskflow from RC only to find that the changes he done on page1 is being retained here ..its not resuable because of no MDS per instance)
So we selected Portlet for this purpose, as it has the inbuilt personalization framework. Admin can personalize each portlet instance and drops on the the same page and diff page again. But with portlets, Add Content is not rendered.
Its not just external content, the taskflow / porltet has some logic to perform and displays some output based on the ruleId which is the input parameter.

PerformancePoint Designer is not loading when clicking on "Add new item" from PerformancePoint Content List

Hello,
I am using Internet Explorer 9 to create a new item by launching Performance Point Dashboard Designer from browser.
When i click on "Add new item", an Iframe will open showing dashboard design redirect which keep loading for couple of minutes and the designer never opens.
Yes, there are working workarounds like opening these links in other tab or opening dashboard designer directly or by clicking on "Run Dashboard Designer" from BI Center homepage.
However, Can someone please help me how to get designer opened when "Add new item" has been clicked from PerformancePoint Content List from browser?

An Update :
I found this is due to the browser limitation.
I have downgraded my Internet Explorer Browser to IE 8 and did the following changes in my browser settings.
Tools --> Internet Options --> Navigate to Security Tab --> Click on Custom Level Button --> Under Download --> Select "Enable" radio box for Automatic Prompting for File Downloads.
Sadly, I cannot ask users to downgrade their browser to IE 8 because MS already stopped support for this browser and there are no other solution for this except going by workarounds.
This clearly says why people are moving away from PerformancePoint Services in SharePoint.

Error when trying to add a project to Subversion source control

When trying to add a project to source control from within the OPM 10 studio (File - Source Control - Add Project to Source Control), the following error occurs:
"There was a problem accessing the source control system, probably due to network or contention issues. A retry is recommended."
This has been tried with Subversion versions 1.6.2, 1.6.5 and 1.6.6, with local repositories and repositories on a Apache webserver.
Once the project has been added to a repository, by using TortoiseSVN for example, working with source control is no problem.
Does anyone have a clue what the problem (and a solution) might be?

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Did you have the opportunity to update 12 to 12.1 Update yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so when you get the opportunity.

For the moment there isn't a way for us end-users to control what is "matched" or "uploaded." That is purely a result of Apple's server-side algorithms.
To re-add multiple songs at once simply highlight all the songs you want to re-add, then right-click (or Control+click) the list and choose "add to iCloud."
