Clicking (and selecting) the same JList item twice

I have a JList with items (Strings) which should be added to another String when selected (clicked on). My problem is that when a user clicks twice on the same item it should be added to the result String twice. But a ListSelectionListener acts only when the value has changed, so when an other item is selected.
Does anyone know a neat (as high level as possible) solution for this?
P.S.: How do you assign duke dollars to a topic? And how do you give someone who replies those?

Thanks. I also already thought of adding a MouseListener, but I kind of wanted to avoid it. But it seems that it is necessary if I want to keep the selection.
The solution I have now, by the way, is that I set the selectedIndex back to -1 in valueChanged, so there is never any item selected.

When I open the vi, Labview asks to find and select the same vi.

This one is a little strange......
As I was attempting to edit the block diagram of my program, that had just completed running with no errors, Labview (and Windows) locked up and I had to do a hard reset of the computer. After rebooting and doubleclicking the main vi icon, Labview did the usual loading of all the dll's and other vi's and then it asked me to find and select the main program vi. When I select it, it asks again and again. If I ignore it Labview goes back to it's splash screen. The program doesn't load at all.
I'm sure having to reset the computer without shutting it down did this, but is there no way to open the file now at all? I have a feeling that I'm going to be stuck having to reprogram everything again.

First rule: always backup!
Now, try some other things, instead of double clicking.
For example, try placing your main VI as a subVI inside an empty VI or try calling it dynamically or opening all of its subVIs before opening it (although from your description I don't see why these should work). The other option is contacting NI and see if they can salvage your VI.

FF 34 "Bookmark - right click and select the Star to bookmark" is extremely frustrating. No way to get to the folder, the scroll does not work.

When the bookmark window appears and I select "Choose" the window opens showing a few folders, but there is no way to scroll down to the folder I want to put it in. Clicking in the window only selects the folder nearest the cursor. How do I get to the folder I need to get to? The old way worked great, why it was messed with is beyond me.

I followed the instructions for making an APP TAB and succeeded BUT everytime I close Firefox, the app tab disappears upon re-opening. Can someone help please? I held the control button plus I clicked and selected the "Pin..as app tab".

For better or worse, I think it's part of the design for the app tabs to be window specific. I know my first reply didn't solve your problem, but that was one way that worked for me to get the app tabs back when I restarted Firefox. Also I noticed the tag for this post is Firefox 4. I've only tried it with Firefox 5.
I agree with you that the way it's working isn't ideal. For the time being, I've stopped using the app tabs. Maybe they'll fix/improve it soon.

Key pressed in Jlist and selecting the item of key list accordingly

I have a JList with the items in sorted order.Now I want that if a person presses any key (say K) then the first item starting with K should be selected.Hmmm I can do it by addding a key listener to the list and cheking all the items in the list ,by traversing through the whole lenght of JList and selecting the item if it starts with the character of the key pressed.
But i was thinking if there is any better way to do that?

scrolling for the JList should now work with keyboard
selection.I have the same problem. Thanx for the hint with the bugid. Saw a good workaround there with a simple subclass of JList. Works for me although it is annoying to subclass JList all the time. The bug seems not to be fixed in the 1.4.1 JDK.

After aborted rebuild in Mail: I can see and select the message in the center pane and when I click on it to display, I get "Loading" text, but nothing comes up

I have searched quite a bit to find a resolution to this problem, with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
I decided to rebuild my inboxes by following this advice: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11704. The rebuild took several hours and at 96% (4 minutes remaining apparently), the indexing froze (that is, after 8 hours, the message was still telling me "4 minutes left"). I forced quit mail, restored the previous Envelope files from the trash, and everything seemed fine.
However, since this failed attempt, I can see and select the message in the center pane and when I click on it to display, I get "Loading" text, but nothing comes up. All messages in my various inboxes have the reloading problem, EXCEPT messages that I downloaded since the aborted rebuild (in other words, there are about 40 messages that I downloaded since I tried the rebuild and I have no problem with these). The other 70,000 messages however wont load, even though I can see them in the centre pane and spotlight has no problem finding them and showing me their contents (when I hover the mouse over the message). When I click on the message in spotlight, mail opens and the loading problem re-occurs.
Since then, based on various suggestions I found for similar issues, I have used Disk Utility to verify and repair permissions and the drive. I used Onix to rebuild the Mail index (that only took about a minute - I am not sure how to interpret this when compared to the hours the rebuild took with Mail). No joy, I still have the same problem. I even restored one of my inboxes via Time Machine and the same issue with loading continues.
I am using ML 10.8.2. I have a combination of IMAP accounts (work) and POP accounts (personal). The issue of loading occurs irrespective of the account.
I am baffled and am now considering migrating to either Thunderbird or Postbox 3 to try and solve my problem. I prefer to stay with Mail. I should note also that I am using MailTags with Mail (http://www.indev.ca/MailTags.html), although I have not used any of the features. I upgraded to ML from SL about 2 weeks ago. It was very smooth and there appear to be no issues (not sure how helpful this is and probably not at all related to this issue).

Multiple selection of rows and delete the same

hi how can we select the multiple rows in a table and delete the same.
if i have 3 rows i have to select 2 rows and if i press the delete button the selected rows should be deleted.

I grabbed my dads iPad and the sound works fine.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

But if the same index.app file is double clicked in Mac 10.6.7 at out clients location, its not opening. For your information the client is able to open this same application by double clicking on index.swf file. The main problem is that client is not able to open the application using index.app file at their office whereas we are able to do so at our office. Can anyone give some suggestions to sort this problem?

The most common reason is different versions of Flash, or different versions of web browsers used. Some users may elect to not have Flash installed at all because of the processor overhead of Flash. If you are going to make an application for a client, check what operating system and browser versions they are using first. Then determine if a stand alone application is required, or if they have the necessary plugins to run specific browser enhanced code.

I ended up reformating the drive as FAT32 because I still need to use it on my Windows 98SE system also. I did have a problem with the allocation size. I wanted to use 512 bytes but it kept failing so I used the default size(8192 bytes) and then it worked fine. I didn't think there would be a problem formatting as NTFS but since you are having problems I just tried it. It failed at 512 bytes allocation size so I tried again using 4096 bytes, the default, as the allocation size and it failed again. It looks like these drives will not format as NTFS.
Also, I think I figured out what's going on with the ReadyBoost problem. As I said initially it wouldn't work with ReadyBoost then after I had 12GB of data on the drive the ReadyBoost feature started working. After I deleted all the files it quit working again. After doing some reading on the net about Flash drives and ReadyBoost problems it appears that the memory chips on my Lenovo Flash drive are mixed with both fast memory chips that work fine with ReadyBoost and slower memory chips that are too slow for ReadyBoost. Apparently, after I fill up the portion of memory with data that uses the slow chip(s) then ReadyBoost works fine with the fast chip(s). I also verified the Flash drives read and write memory speeds using Vista's Event Viewer. To work with ReadyBoost the Flash drive has to read at a minimum of 2.5MB/s (for 4KB random reads) and write at a minimum of 1.75MB/s (for 512KB random writes).
Let me know what you find out.

Condition type PB00 and PBXX, coming in the same PO Item

In the PO (created with reference to Outline Agreement), condition types PB00 and PBXX are coming in the same line item.
In the PO output, the PB00 value is also showing up and PBXX value is also showing up. User entered PBXX value as 350000 dollars which is right, however system is picking 1.2 million dollar of PB00 from outline agreement which is not intended here. As a result of that the output going to Vendor is exceeding more than 1.2 million dollar instead of 350,000 dollars. I cannot change or delete any othe condition types.THis is a production problem.
Has anyone faced this problem. I appreciate your reply in advance.

Well, thanks Saurav and Prabhakaran, however the problem still stays.
The contract is created for services (1 lot), so the dollar amount can vary depending upon the service rendered by the consultant.
That mean user will only enter the service amount.
Saurav, system should not copy down PB00, it should come by itself when user enters the specific amount. And it comes from contract. PBXX should only appear if there is no PB00 maintained in the contract. This is not the case. The service amount is maintained in the contract. Also, I don't think that PBXX and PB00 should come in one line item together as normal system behaviour & as a normal business process too. Moreover, it is not happeniing in the other two line items - line item 20 and line item 30 are fine. The pricing analysis shows both the conditions as found - PB00 and PBXX, so I could not take any clue from analysis too.
Prabhakaran, system is only behaving incorrectly for line item 10. It is behaving as expected (good ) for other line items and other PO's. So, we cannot touch the pricing procedure as that will affect other line items.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
