ClickTAG: More difficult than I'm making it?

Hello awesome forum folks.
I've created plenty of banner ads in my time but am having trouble with my first AS3 clickTAG code.
import flash.events.MouseEvent;
clicks.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, boomShaka);
function boomShaka(event:MouseEvent) {
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(clickTAG);
navigateToURL(request, "_blank");
This is the code directly from the creative requirements of the website I'm making the banners for. It errors out with:
1120: Access of undefined property clickTAG.
If I comment out 'clickTAG' the rest of my actionscript functions correctly. I've been stumped and checking around for two hours now. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
1120: Access of undefined property clickTAG.
Look at your error message again. clickTAG is undefined...Flash does not know how to cope
with the word "clickTAG"..
You must define it and assign a value before using it.
example:
var clickTAG:String = "TheWebPage.html";
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(clickTAG);
navigateToURL(request, "_blank");
Best regards

  • Is CLAD real much more difficult than CLAD on-line free demo?

    I am about to give CLAD offline (there is no testing center here and a NI representative would be coming to take the CLAD exams of four of us). We / I have practiced the free on-line version of CLAD exam at NI site. I have heard that the real exam is much more difficult. Is this true? What is the diference between the two? (Like passing marks etc).
    Thanks for the help!

    The proctored CLAD exam is slightly more difficult than the on-line version. Some of the questions from the on-line exam were on the test as were some of the questions from the example exam. If you handled the material in those two exams well, you should pass. To get 70%, you can get 12 out of the 40 wrong. My feeling while taking the test was that there was no way I had 12 wrong because there are enough easy questions. It's a good test because it forces you to learn some trivial details you may not have paid attention to before.

  • Having trouble accessing my and my wifes yahoo accounts 5X's more difficult than it was on iternet explorer. what be done

    I switched from Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox for my internet browse. My wife and I have separate email accounts with Yahoo. With Internet Explorer all we needed to do was to switch from one Yahoo email account to the other was sign out of one account and sign in other the other account. Now with Firefox we have to go through a lot of different steps and is much more difficult which may make me decide to switch back to Internet Explorer which I would rather not do.
    Please advise, thanks, Dean

    Aha! I have sorted it.
    For those with similar problems, the solution is this:
    Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers
    Then delete DigiDioMidiDriver.plugin

  • Fresh Install of Mtn Lion on new SSD More Difficult Than I Thought

    Today I installed my brand new 512GB SSD from Crucial. Had wanted a fresh install of Mtn Lion, but that turned out to be difficult. As a result, I resorted to a restore of my most recent Time Machine backup, which completed just fine.
    Changing out the drives was simple and quick. I then inserted my formatted USB Drive, held down the Option key, and re-started my laptop. So far so good, and I was asked which drive I wanted to install Mtn Lion on, but the problem was that my new SSD was not listed as one of the options, so I took out the new drive and re-inserted my old SSD.
    When I ordered the new drive, I ordered the one that came with a Data Recovery Kit, which included a CD and a nifty little adapter that attached to your drive, with a short USB cable on the other end. I attached the adapter to the new drive, plugged in the USB end, and then opened Disk Utility. I then realized that the new drive was never formatted, so I thought I had found the problem as to why the new drive never showed as an option when I wanted to install a fresh copy of Mtn Lion. I quickly reformatted the new drive, then re-installed it in my laptop, then re-started and held down the option key. Still, the new drive was not showing as an option to install Mtn Lion.
    However, it did show as an option if I chose to install a Time Machine backup, so that is what I did, and the restore process was quick and effortless. In the end, I have a new 512 GB SSD and am happily continuing with my computing. Still, I have to wonder why the new drive was never available to me as a destination option for a fresh install of OSX 10.8.2.
    Any ideas if I missed something along the way? Why did the new SSD not show as an option for a fresh install?

    Drive Preparation for Lion
    1.  Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select the SSD (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Security button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    7. After formatting is done quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.

  • Forgotten Blackberry ID.. A little more difficult than a email reset..

    A little background...  About a year ago I swaped from a different provider to my current provider Optus and have been using Appworld just fine with my old providers *@three.blackberry.com email address which I used as my Blackberry ID for AppWorld and just last week I somehow forgotten my password while overseas and managed to Wipe my device trying to figure out my AppWorld password. Obviously the password reset to email will not work as that address no longer exists. Does anyone know how I can go about retrieving my account details from RIM? I have a few purchased apps under it and BBM contacts.

  • Digital signatures getting more difficult

    I'm sure there are good reasons for the changes, but from my viewpoint digital signatures in Acrobat are becoming less convenient with each new version I try.
    I make extensive use of invisible signatures, with a number of people required to invisibly sign each document. In Acrobat 5.05 it was a breeze, either using a menu option or the dropdown in the signatures panel (my preferred method). Deleting a signature field was equally convenient. Just right click the field and delete it.
    In Acrobat 7, the menu and dropdown options disappeared and one has to go through a bunch of screens to get there. Not terrible, but less convenient. Also, documents created using Acrobat 5 or 7 could be signed using either version as long as the document was created using Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) compatibility. For deletion, signature fields must be cleared first, and only then can they be deleted. In both cases, creating invisble signatures and deleting signature fields, there are more steps in Acrobat 7 than in Acrobat 5.05. I can live with it, but it seems like reverse progress to me.
    Now I am trying to help my boss use Acrobat 10 to invisibley sign documents created using Acrobat 7 and already invisibly signed by others using Acrobat 7 and Acrobat 5.05. If there's a way to do it, I can't find it. I suppose I could create a blank signature graphic, but that seems silly. Neither can I find any way to delete signature fields. I can clear them, but not delete them.
    I'm guessing that the changes to digital signature functionality have something to do with making signed PDFs more secure and more difficult to tamper with, but I find it hard to believe that can't be accomplished without losing so much functionality.
    I need to be able to have multiple invisible signatures and the capability to remove signature fields, and I need to be able to do it in Acrobat versions 5.05, 7, and X for documents created using any of those versions. If anyone knows how it can be done, please let me know.
    Thanks.

    What viewer are you using for showing the PDF?

  • Anyone finding it more difficult to type words on the iPhone4 vs iphone3?

    We've recently migrate about ten folks from the iPhone3 to the iPhone4.
    Getting feedback that it is more difficult to accurately type words on the iPhone4 than what was experienced on the iPhone3. Some of the direct comments are listed below. Is anyone seeing the same issues?
    "It's way harder to type correctly on this new phone? I'm having a terrible time getting words spelled right. I have to slow way down to even come close."
    "Truthfully, I type three word and look at my screen and it's three wrong words with no spaces between them. If i slow down, stare at the screen and type with deliberately, like when I first got an iphone a couple years ago, I can get it write, mostly. If I type anywhere near normal, like I did on my last phone, it's just a jumble of letters."

    Yes, and I think I know what the problem is. The iPhone 4's touch screen is more sensitive than the previous models. The 3Gs' touch detection was spot-on IMHO. The i4 is more sensitive and to confirm this yourself just slowly get closer and closer to screen over button and you will notice that it will register a click and/or touch before your finger makes contact. I am not 100% positive but this could be adding to the Proximity Sensor woes as well. Maybe not causing it but definitely making it worse. I hope Apple can turn down/tune the capacitance touch screen a bit along with the prox-sensor fix in next release.

  • Time Machine sees more data than actually exists

    Another way to put it is that Time Machine requires more space than is needed. I found similar posts, but none that were solved.
    My MacPro has a 160GB startup drive, and three 1TB (931.2GB formatted) storage drives in it.
    I have a 1TB external FW800 drive (931.2GB formatted). I formatted it using Disk Utility and set it as the Time Machine destination. Using the Time Machine preference pane in System Preferences, I have exluded everything but the startup disk and the 1TB drive with my actual work data on it (we'll call it data_1) .
    There's 79GB in use on the startup disk and 702GB in use on data_1. In the "Options" window of the Time Machine preference pane, it says "Total Included 781.9GB"
    When I start the first backup, after a short period of 'Preparing' Time Machine delivers an error message that says the backup is too large for the destination and that 931GB are available but 998.41GB are required.
    From system.log:
    Jan 7 00:42:23 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): Backup content size: 79.2 GB excluded items size: 8.8 MB for volume davinci
    Jan 7 00:42:23 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): Backup content size: 702.8 GB excluded items size: 0 bytes for volume vivaldi
    Jan 7 00:42:23 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): Starting pre-backup thinning: 998.41 GB requested (including padding), 930.97 GB available
    Jan 7 00:42:23 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): No expired backups exist - deleting oldest backups to make room
    Jan 7 00:42:23 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): Error: backup disk is full - all 0 possible backups were removed, but space is still needed.
    Jan 7 00:42:23 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): Backup Failed: unable to free 998.41 GB needed space
    Jan 7 00:42:29 /System/Library/CoreServices/backupd(598): Backup failed with error: Not enough available disk space on the target volume.
    Where is the extra 217GB coming from?
    I've reset everything; reformatted the drive, turned TM off, cleared the exclusion list, turned TM back on, reset the TM destination, repopulated the exclusion list. Same error.
    Time Machine has worked properly on this computer before. I had a smaller external drive, and only backed up the startup disk.

    1) I can't find any documentation published by Apple that defines recommended drive size. Perhaps I'm not looking hard enough.
    My G5 is in the shop, so I can't get to Leopard Help. And I don't find it on their Support pages. This has been reported by people who talked directly with Apple (Apple Care and others).
    2) I've run Time Machine on dozens of Macs (I manage a small network) and none of them had a TM drive 3 times the size of the source disk. They all worked, no problems.
    Yes, of course, in many, perhaps most, cases 2 times or even less will work. But it depends almost entirely on what size files are updated/added and how often.
    3) Based on the error I'm currently getting, TM requires an overhead of 22% just to perform its tasks. Can that be true? And if it is, why isn't this reflected in System Preferences? (i.e.: Total Included: 781GB, an additional 217GB will be required for working space)
    Yes, there is a great deal of mystery about it's calculations. You may note from it's system log messages that it requests a certain amount of space "including padding". Just what that consists of, and how it's calculated, is unclear.
    My completely uneducated guess is, at least some of it is for the many hundreds of thousands of alias-type files it uses. Remember, when you look in the TM interface, it appears to have one copy of every file for every backup. The vast majority of those, of course, haven't changed, and are represented, somehow, by those special alias files some also call soft links. Whatever they are, they have to take up some small amount of space, but multiply teeny by a minimum of half a million of them per backup . . .
    4) I understand that a main feature of TM is that it saves a history of files. But at it's root it is a backup system. Even if you only had enough space for one most recent copy, and one expired copy, you'd still have a backup, which does not defeat the purpose.
    Yes of course, but you don't have anywhere near that much space.
    I don't mean to be argumentative. But I was hoping to hear something other than "Get a bigger drive." If the 2-3x 'rule of thumb' is correct, wouldn't the minimum size for any of the newer macs be 750GB? Making one of Apple's own products (the 500GB Time Capsule) be incompatible? Especially when the TC is meant for multiple systems. Seems like my only option is to get a raid of some sort.
    Or use CarbonCopyCloner, SuperDuper, or the like. Or exclude a lot.
    I suppose I'm just frustrated and befuddled at the lack of documentation on this, assuming what you say is true? I guess I'd calm down if I could see some actual documentation. Does anyone have a resource or a reference where this overhead?
    Agreed. Why don't you contact Apple directly? And post the results here.

  • Why Mac pro is better & more expensive than IMac?!

    can you advice me on this:
    tell me which one is more practical and powerful for 3D rendering and animation?!  why?!
    and why Mac pro is more expensive than IMac?! even though numbers in IMac are higher than Mac pro.......
    IMac:
              - 27-inch
              - 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
              - 16GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 4x4GB
              - 2TB Serial ATA Drive
              - AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
    or
    Mac pro:
    Two 2.66GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon “Westmere” (12 cores)
    12GB (6X2GB)
    2TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s hard drive
    2TB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s hard drive
    ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB
    One 18x SuperDrive

    Apparently you don't fathom or realize what I said:
    Better value: Mac Pro 6-core 3.33GHz. You can buy base and throw in W3680.
    You can buy a single 6-core like that from Apple and pay $900 more.
    I do not recommend 12-core.
    I do not recommend the slower 2.66 processor
    I do recommend avoiding the 2009 model.
    Better off starting with the 2.8 4-core and go from there.
    Ivy Bridge socket LGA2011 will have a lot of other features making them the "to die for" but no one knows and I for one would not want to be on cutting edge with any chipset or new revision. Seriously, Apple has always had issues with first silicon whether 2011 MBP or iMac or 2008/2009 Mac Pro. And always takes a couple OS updates. And then things break. And then software has to catch up.
    A slower 12-core is not going to future proof. It is going to cost more and not deliver.
    For last year we've all been seeing and saying 6 x 3.33.
    why I sent you link to MPG site.

  • KDE 4.4 eating up more RAM than 4.3

    Given the same settings on both versions and after numerous testing, upon bootup, KDE 4.4 is eating up more RAM than KDE 4.3, at least 25 MB more on the average. I realize the developers mentioned they fixed numerous bugs from the previous version, but shouldn't they be working on getting it lighter? Where's the most likely culprit for this additional RAM usage? Can it be attributed to the newer QT version 4.6.1, or something else? Opinions much appreciated, thanks.

    Well, it really is that simple. If I have spare RAM, I want something on my computer to start using it.
    Preload greatly increases speed on my end on some apps. Mostly big apps, like Openoffice and Kontact, which starts instantly with preload, and takes forever to run if I disable it. It doesn't increase boot time at all for me (I just start it in background, the rest of the loading happens after login and is not noticable on my system). Guess our milage are different.

    Don't complain about RAM-use unless you're running out. Free RAM is wasted RAM (and, worse, wasted money you spend on that RAM). If there's RAM not being used, a good OS will find ways to use it.
    Instead of worrying about how to free up your used RAM, start worrying about how to use the RAM that is not being used (increase browser-cache, install preload, give Nepomuk more memory, etc).
    Certainly free RAM is a wasted resource, but the point of the discussion is whether the increase in RAM usage on KDE 4.4 is a good use of RAM. It is quite possible that the increase in RAM usage is due to bugs introduced in the new code and tracing the exact cause is helpful when one wants to submit a bug report to the KDE team.  The RAM saved this way could be used for more useful things in the next release of KDE.
    True. I was making a general statement, not being specific to KDE. Memory leaks are obviously not RAM being put to good use.
    In KDE 4.3 I found nepomuk all but useless. It slowed down my desktop and had a bad habbit of crashing Dolphin. Now it seems to run pretty well and I barely notice it, but it does take up a lot of my RAM compared to memory-usage in 4.3. But then, I feel like I'm getting something for my money. And I still got lots of RAM to spare, and no ideas on what to use it on.

  • Issue with opening a site in SharePoint Designer 2010 -The version of SharePoint foundation running on the server is more recent than the version of SPD you are using, you need a more recent version of SPD.

    I have a SharePoint site which I am trying to open in SPD 2010, I am getting the following error(some of my team members are able to open)
    The version of SharePoint foundation running on the server is more recent than the version  of SPD you are using, you need a more recent version of SPD.
    These are the ways I tried
    1) Earlier I have MS office 32 bit and SPD 32 bit, I uninstalled them and installed both 64 bit versions
    2) I uninstalled restarted my machine and installed it again still no use.
    3) I installed SPD 2010 Service Pack 2 of 64 bit
    4) I uninstalled the SPD 2010 and opened the site—site actions—edit page in SPD , then it asked me to install SPD 2010, then I installed and tried to open the same site, again same error.
    How to solve this issue?
    I checked permissions also at that site level – I have full control like others. I don’t have access to Central Admin so where else I can check the permission settings?

    Please update us SharePoint version

    Help!!!!! I need to get iphoto lib off of hd which is running really slowly, and clicks rather more loudly than usual, how do i do this, im even on my iphone asking this! Computer also runs inly marginally faster in safe boot mode! Could the apple store help?

    It certainly sounds like your harddrive is dying.  I would Immediately backup your harddrive to an external USB or Firewire harddrive Before doing anything else.  It just may save your data in time before you lose it all.
    Hope this helps

  • Exchange 2013 - The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is rejecting message submissions because the service continues to consume more memory than the configured threshold

    Noticed at about noon that no emails had been received all day. Began to investigate and found that the MS Exchange Transport service had been set to deny email submission because it was using too much memory on the server (91%).
    The error message makes me think that we may have been getting used by malware or something similar.“The Microsoft Exchange Transport service is rejecting message submissions because the service continues to consume more memory than the
    configured threshold.”
    There are also several warning messages that list particular IP addresses and say that a connection from that IP was denied because there were already the maximum number of connections (20).
    From what I can tell, all of the IP addresses are from Taiwan.
    The time period for which some emails may be missing is from close of business yesterday ( 4/3/2014) through about 12:45 today (4/4/2014).
    From the time I spent reading and trying to figure out the error, I think we may need to readjust our throttling policies to prevent this from happening.
    The exchange server is currently running at 90%+ CPU and 50%+ memory usage the majority of the time, and I’m not sure how to fix it.
    Also, I cannot get into EMS I get a access denied message from the destination computer. (Exchange server) I want to get into there to change the throttling policy back to default, since we disabled it.
    The Error reads:
    The WinRM client cannot process the request. The WinRM client tried to use Kerberos authentication mechanism, but the destination computer <Exchange> returned an 'access denied' error. Change the configuration to allow Kerberos authentication
    mechanism to be used or specify one of the authentication mechanism supported by the server. (How do I do this?) To use Kerberos, specify the local computer name as the remote destination. (I'm trying to use EMS while logged into the local Exchange server)
    Also verify that the client computer and the destination computer are joined to a domain. (Exchange is on our domain, and the computer trying to connect is the same computer) To use basic, specify the local computer name as the remote destination, specify
    Basic authentication and provide user mane and password. Possible authentication mechanisms reported by server.

    I assumed control of this exchange system already in place and I do not have much experience with exchange 2013 or server 2012. I do know 2008, but that doesn't help very much in this situation.
    Recent changes to the system:
    About three days ago we switch our sessions policy to allow many more connections, and I believe this caused the issue. This is what I changed it to:
    Made the registry DWORD (32-bit) "Maximum Allowed Sessions Per User" and modified the value to 1000. Location of registry change @ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
    I just changed it to 10 from the 1000. I'm hoping this solves this. So far no.
    Also, I am not the best in the shell or command line interfaces. Any help would be wonderful!

    Hi,
    Yes, could be hardware performance issue. Try recycle the Transport process and see if the issue persists.

  • I have more songs than I can put on Ipod.  How can I un-click all songs in an album without doing each singly, to reduce space? Thanks

    I have more songs than I can put on Ipod. Will unclick some songs but one at a time is taking forever. How can I un-click all songs in an album without doing each singly, to reduce space needed on iPod? Thanks

    Why not try syncing a smart playlist that updates automatically every time you sync your iPod?
    Try something like this:
    1. Pull down File > New Smart Playlist;
    2. Playlist IS Music; click the plus button;
    3. Last Played IS NOT in the last 90 days;
    4. Select the option to Limit to xxx items selected by Random and click OK.
    Name the playlist that is created something distinctive then sync you iPod with that. It will automatically update based on the last played dates of a tune and you'll always have fresh content on your iPod. Modify the playlist as needed to make it give you the results you want.
