clientgen loses track of WSDL?

Hi,
I'm trying to create a client.jar for the Amazon Web Service (http://www.amazon.com/webservices),
and it looks like <clientgen> is losing track of the WSDL. It finds and successfully
parses it, but then fails with the following output:
[clientgen] Could not find WSDL for service AmazonWebServices
[clientgen] at weblogic.ant.taskdefs.webservices.clientgen.WSDLClientGen.run
(WSDLClientGen.java:100)

Here's the extract from the build.xml:
<clientgen

     serviceName="AmazonWebServices"
     packageName="com.amazon.webservices.catalog.search"
     clientJar="${CLIENT_CLASSES}/AmazonWebServicesClient.jar"
/>
Any clues as to what's going on? I have attached the WSDL in question.

Mike Wooten

Hi Neal,
Actually the "file:///dev2dev/....." URL was (or is) fine.
The problem was that the value assigned to the serviceName attribute of the <clientgen>
element (in build.xml), didn't match the value assigned to the name attribute
of the <service> element (in the WSDL)! Devil's in the details, I tell ya :-)
Thanks,
Mike Wooten

  • Why does Bridge always lose track of the Favorites folders I put into it?

    (Latest version of Bridge)
I haven't used Bridge in a while because of this problem.
When you click on one of your Favorites folders in the panel on the far
left side, the folder comes up with a question mark and it can't find anything!
    Why does this happen?
Even though the original location of the files or folders was never moved or renamed.. Bridge loses track of the folders I put into it?
How do I keep it from doing that?

    Here's the boilerplate text referenced by Omke;
I still advocate Repairing Permissions (with Apple's Disk Utility) before AND after any system update or upgrade, as well as before AND after installing any software that requires an installer that asks for your password.
I have seen software installations go sour because the installer did not find everything as and where it should be.
I have also seen software installations go bad because the installer did not clean up after itself properly and did not leave everything as and where it should be.
This is just my own personal opinion and practice based on my own observations. Others may disagree and that's OK. I can only base my routines and my advice to others on my own experience and conclusion. I don't pretend to know why others believe otherwise.
Repairing Permissions after the fact (i. e. not immediately before and after an install) may NOT help. Try it anyway, though.

Additionally, if your machine does not run 24/7 so that it runs the daily, weekly and monthly Cron Scripts in the middle of the night as intended by Apple, run Cocktail (shareware) as well.
Cron Scripts are maintenance routines designed by Apple to run on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in the middle of the night.
If you don't run them, you WILL run into trouble, sooner rather than later.
Here's an excerpt from the Apple tech doc http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107388
Mac OS X performs background maintenance tasks at certain times if the computer is not in sleep mode. If your computer is shut down or in sleep at the designated times, the maintenance does not occur. In that case, you may want or need to run these manually.
Mac OS X periodically runs background tasks that, in part, remove system files that are no longer needed. This includes purging older information from log files or deleting certain temporary items. These tasks do not run if the computer is shut down or in sleep mode. If the tasks do not run, it is possible that certain log files (such as system.log) may become very large.
    Also, from: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106978
The disk activity generated by find is a normal part of file system maintenance, used for tasks such as removing invisible temporary files that are used by the system. It is scheduled to occur early in the morning at 03:15 everyday, 04:30 on Saturdays, and 05:30 on the first day of each month.
    NOTE:
There have been comments to the effect that Apple "fixed" this in 10.4.2 and later versions of the OS, but I have not been able to verify this to my satisfaction. The reference in the 10.4.2 release notes are far from explicit on this subject.

  • Kinect loses track of bodies when rotated in pitch/elevation

I have an application where I am using a Kinect v2 to track people. The Kinect is mounted to a gimbal that is then moved to point at the body joint the Kinect is tracking. This seems to work just fine when the Kinect is moved in yaw/azimuth (rotated about
its y-axis), however the Kinect seems to have issues when it is moved in pitch/elevation (rotated about its x-axis). The body tracking loses track of all bodies, causing the gimbal to stop, and after a second or two it will reacquire the people in view. With
smaller motions or very slow motions, the Kinect is less likely to lose track, but it is still very sensitive. The track loss seems to be correlated with a change in what the Kinect views as the floor plane (it can happen regardless of whether or not the Kinect
    can see the floor).
Is this a fundamental limitation of the Kinect body tracking? Is there anything that can be done to make the body tracking less sensitive to pitch changes or floor plane changes? I understand that having the Kinect itself move is not exactly a normal
    use-case for it.

Body tracking is only supported when the sensor is orientated horizontally with the ground/floor plane. We do not support any other sensor orientation by design. Optimal sensor configuration is 6 feet from the floor with the sensor tilted down with
unobstructed view of the floor(no IR shadow casting because of object edges). The sensor must see the users head and both shoulders to acquire a hard lock-on.
If you need other tracking abilities you may need to revert to blob detections of your own tracking system.

  • ITunes lose track of music files

Every couple of days iTunes loses track of all the songs stored on my PC. As soon as you open iTunes for any user. all songs you attempt to access cannot be found and the exclamation point appears beside all songs listed in the library.
I have centralized all my song files – about 9400 files - on an internal secondary drive “e:\music\iTunes\iTunes music”. This is set as the default folder for all iTunes users.
I have iTunes v.6.0.4.2 installed for three separate user IDs on a single Dell PC running XP Home Edition. The User IDs and individual iTunes library files – iTunes Library.itl and .xml – are stored in the personal directory – “c:\Documents and Settings\my documents\my music\iTunes – per the defaults when iTunes is installed.
The only way I am able to recover from this is to delete the library files for each user and rebuild the library by going into “file=>add folder to library” and pointing at the iTunes music folder on the ‘e’ drive. I do not lose any music files but this is a very annoying bug which should be fixed. I have looked in the iTunes user forum and many people have experienced similar problems on both PC and Mac environment. None of the suggested fixes on the forum have solved my problem I have also spoken to Apple Support about this problem twice, including a Level 2 support tech. None of them was able to solve this problem.

I have had the same problem. it seems to have stemmed from the upgrade. However, I have over 40 gig of files on an external HD. I was wondering how you reload delete the titles from ITunes and reload them back into ITunes from the external HD. I want to avoid deleting the actual file from the HD; only from ITunes. thoughts?

  • Ultrabeat loses track of samples when saved within a Project???

Why is it that when I save a project with all my custom samples loaded into the Ultrabeat, I have to manually re-find them once it comes time for me to open the saved project?
    Example:
    - I'm working on a project, many instances of the Ultrabeat, many wav samples loaded into a blank 'sample player' patch.
    - I save the project, making sure that all samples are to be saved in their respective folders along with the project.
    - I go and open the project folders, double checking that the samples are indeed saved. Yep - they are.
    - I Send the project file and folder out to my laptop to work on it on the go.
    - I Recheck the files.
    - I load up the project file, all normal samples load, yet the Ultrabeat comes up with a search window and tells me to find EACH. INDIVIDUAL. HIT. Which are located DIRECTLY in the folder that Logic itself saved them in. No tampering. No modifications.
    - Then I spend the next hour manually finding the samples out of the SAME folder...
You'd think that if I saved a project, along with all files associated with it, and Logic put them in a specific destination folder, that it MIGHT know where to go and find them once it comes time to reopen the project.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Any ideas?
    If not, WAKE UP APPLE.

That's exactly what I do already, so there is no reason why it should be having a hard time finding the files.
And, as I mentioned earlier, I double check to make sure that the files were actually copied before I transfer the project and included project folders. Also, when it comes time for Ultrabeat to lose track of the samples, each and every one of them are in the exact same Ultrabeat Samples folder that was created by Logic itself.
Again, There is no reason why Logic shouldn't just be able to find the files that it itself put into a specific folder within the project file.

  • ITunes loses track of music

    iTunes 9.0.1 under SL 10.6.1
How can iTunes lose track of music after I just added an entire folder full of music using the Add to Library command?
I select all my music. Delete all music. Do not move music files to Trash. Select Add to Library. Select the root folder where all of my music is stored. It adds all 18,000+ files. A new list of songs is displayed. As I browse through them, the missing file exclamation points start appearing next to songs. I double-click the missing file, it says it can't locate the song and asks me to help it locate it. I locate it, navigating through the same folder I used above to Add to Library, re-map the missing song. Repeat about 5,000 times.
The songs reside on a secondary hard drive in my MacPro. This is a constant game of cat-and-mouse. After adding a few songs, sometimes iTunes just gets tired and crashes.

If I rename items from within the iTunes interface then iTunes will make the changes and move things accordingly.
Yes, that is what I wrote the box is for.
If I take an item in iTunes and move it in the Finder to the Trash and empty the trash then iTunes will give me the !
    And?
That has nohing to do with the Keep box being checked or unchecked.
Uncheck that box then toss a file into the trash and iTunes will still show an exclamation mark.

  • ITunes Loses Tracks

Hello good people of the board.
I imported all my files over from my old iMac to my new one and have an annoying problem. iTunes loses tracks seemingly at random. I assumed that it was a glitch during the transfer which caused the little exclamation mark to appear next to tracks meaning that I would have to manually tell iTunes where the file wass. I've noticed that it's starting to happen with tracks imported directly on to my new computer though. I've searched the forums but no-one seems to have this exact problem, all the others seem to be related to external hard drives which I'm not using. Any ideas?

Have you tried 'Advanced:Consolidate Library...' option? I've never needed to do that yet (when I occasionally get the !, I just navigate to the relevant iTunes folder to re-establish the link, but if you're getting a lot of them, maybe you need to Consolidate? )
Try it out, it can't hurt, see if it helps.

You can try to open the documents with a password that is guaranteed to be wrong, i.e. a password that isn't used for any of the documents. If the document has no password, Word will open it without complaining - it only checks the password if the document
is password-protected. If the document does have a password, error 5408 will occur, and you can trap this error with an error handler. For example, with a variable doc of type Document and a variable strPath of type String that contains the full path of a
    document:
    On Error Resume Next
    Set doc = Documents.Open(FileName:=strPath, PasswordDocument:="!@#$%")
If Err = 0 Then ' no error occurred
    ' Process the document
    ' And close it
    doc.Close SaveChanges:=True ' or False
    End If

  • Ipod Classic Randomly Loses Tracks/Songs when sync with Itunes

My IPod Classic Randomly loses Songs from playlists. I can sync with iTunes and it will keep say 8 songs out of 10 in a playlist (sometimes all 10 if I’m lucky) but if you re sync it will have 7 or 9 different tracks in the playlist. Its Very annoying as my girlfriend uses it for teaching and songs are always missing.
I have tried updating IPod, re-installing ITunes and restoring IPod
Any Ideas??? Apart from buy a new one but from what I can guess seems like a software issue.
    Thanks

I was having the same problem.
I have an i pod classic 80GB (with the wheel) I think it's 5th generation
I would start a Sync, it would sync 2 or 3 songs then stop or hang up, which did not interfere with any other function, so I would not say it froze.
Once I ended the sync by clicking on the X next to the sync progress bar at the top of the window, I ejected the ipod and then plugged it in again.  Then  I selected my i pod under Devices in the menu on the left-hand side of iTunes.  Clicked on the summary tag.  Clicked on  "Manually manage music and videos" Clicked ok and apply.
When in manual mode, you cn drag songs from  iTunes to the device icon in the sidebar. Once I downloaded the song or songs or album that was causing the problem, I then unselected manual load, and everything else was able to sync normally on automatic mode.

  • Mail on MacBook Pro (Intel), loses track of which IMAP messages are read

I have this problem using two different IMAP servers (dovecot-imapd and SunONE.) Basically Mail keeps "losing track" of which messages have been read already. Messages I read and/or reply keep getting marked as unread. If I wait around long enough (or quit and restart Mail) ALL of my messages received since migrating to the MacBook Pro will appear unread. This did not happen with my PowerBook G4 – I'm thinking something is wrong with the Intel build of Mail.
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   2GB RAM

Do you have "automatically synchronize changed
mailboxes" selected under the Advanced tab for the
    IMAP account preferences?
Oddly enough, one of them had it checked, and the other did not. Both evidenced the same behavior though.
In addition, have you used the rebuild mailboxes
function on the account's Inbox mailbox?
I'll do that now, and see what happens.

  • Macbook re-opens closed programs on restart also lose track pad preferences

I have a couple of problems with my Macbook Pro (2.53mhz Core 2 Duo, running Mountain Lion) which I think maybe related.
1/  After restart Excel, Chrome, Photoshop, Finder and System Preferences all open up even though I have close all these programs before the restart. It's as if the computer has remembered a time when the battery ran out or it was shut down with all these programs open, and keeps reverting back to this. I can't figure out how to make it restart without all these programs opening up again.
2/ I lose my trackpad setting after restart, specifically tap to click, (I've read a few posts on this and none of the fixes i.e changing Read/Write in home folder, deleteing pref files in library etc,  have worked so far) this is really annoying as the trackpad is failing so I have to click it really hard to make it work, if the tap to click is disabled, as it always is after restart,
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Many Thanks

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.

  • How do I undo wipe my device? It hasn't sent yet as my device is offline - it's stolen and I don't want to lose track of it

    Hi there,
I have recently lost my iPod in downtown Clearwater Florida.  I used Find my iPhone and it kicked in temporarily as the person walked by a Starbucks that was at a mall I've never been to.  I locked the device and sent it a message but didn't get a call back.  I got the notification that my message had been sent.  It was offline again so I locked it, sent another message, and then clicked Wipe so the person couldn't get onto my personal data as I don't have a password on it.
I then afterwards realized that after wiping it that this means I will no longer be able to locate it.  It is offline so the wipe hadn't sent yet and I was trying to find a way to cancel it.  I clicked the little "x" next to my device hoping that would do it, and it has now removed my device from the list.
Am I totally screwed now? Or is there a way I can undo either of the actions above? Removing it from my list and then undoing the wipe?
    Thanks,
    Chri

I didn't see where I could cancel the command.  I think it's too late now because I hit the "x" button and it removed my device.. Is there a way to get my device listed again without having the physical iPod? It randomly showed up again today after I accidentally did the same thing 3 months ago (face palm) and removed it

  • ITunes 7.1 loses track of some registry files necessary for CD/DVD burning

Has anyone else seen this odd error message. I installed iTunes 7.1, then restarted my computer as instructed. When I rebooted and ran iTunes, I got an odd error message indicating that some registry files were missing and that this was likely because I had recently installed a CD/DVD burning program. The problem is that I haven't installed such a problem.
Now I believe I have found a solution: I ran the installation again, and when prompted I told the installer to repair iTunes. The message didn't come back after that, but does this mean that the issue was solved or simply that the message only shows the first two times or so after the installation? But, most of all, has anyone else seen this message?

I've increased the connection pool from 100 - 200, decreased the timeout to 10 minutess and checking to 3 minutes and, t.urned off autogenerate keys        We've completed SQL traces, CF DSN logs, and tested different DNS entries, nothing notable yet.
We checked with networking folks, they are not backing up at this time... anyone have something we haven't tried or should have tried a different way or can suggest a way to test to pinpoint the problem?
Our infrastructure is WinServ 2008 w/ SQL2008r2 and a Winserv2008 and CF9 (it doesn't look like we have the right version to use cold fusion monitor)
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

Fast answer: Whatever causes this error, the resolution was to change the ColdFusion DSN (CFDSN) to an IP address instead of Server name or Server Alias.
Details: The first occurrence of the error is March 15th, 8:28 AM (It is probably worth asking network folk if anything changed around this time). From this point, the error started everyday between 8 and 8:05AM and would seemingly randomly continue until the CFDSN was refreshed by changing Server name to Server Alias or vice versa (we had not tested IP address at this point). The first error (yes the table does exist):
"Error","jrpp-2175","03/15/11","08:28:59","wxxx","Error Executing Database Query.[Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Invalid object name 'Cxxxxxl'. The specific sequence of files included or processed is: C:\xxxxx.cfm, line: 302 " coldfusion.tagext.sql.QueryTag$DatabaseQueryException: Error Executing Database Query.
Research: In the URL’s below most center around bad caches of DNS. The one suggestion of refreshed tables and Select * statements, seems feasible, but wasn’t supported by any other articles and I could not find any Select all statements on the website… but if this is purely a DNS caching issue, why didn’t the other testing CFDSN’s cause errors? Is the DNS cache specific to a CFDSN?
Testing: I set up three DSN’s to match the only DSN failing, JGData. The only difference being Server name, Server Alias and IP were the sources in the test CFDSN’s. I set up test.cfm to cycle through the CFDSN’s with cftry/catch so we could record any errors every 5 minutes…. But no errors.  I added the live CFDSN, JGData, and we started picking up failures which is how we pinpointed the 8-8:05 window.
From there it was just trying different permutations till one stuck. If time allowed and the work around was somehow problematic, I’d want to figure out how to replicate the error then experiment with different permutations (Would ODBC Socket eliminate the problem, the Java solution provided in couple of the articles below, etc). FWIW, I wouldn’t rule out some kind of anomaly with our virtual environment just b/c I know so little about it.
N E Way. It’s fixed and brain dumped. Marching on.

  • ITunes loses track of songs?

When I turned on my iTunes today, and tried to double click the song, it gave me the error: The song "____" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it? Yes/No". So I go through a bunch of my files and find the same song but I was surprised to find that EVERY file was like this..so I spent about an hour restoring all my songs and then, out of nowhere, I didn't even close my iTunes program or change it somehow, all my files can't be located again? What's happening!!?
