COA - DTW Excel Formatting

Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem while importing COA.
If I am not wrong while we import COA, data in csv or as required should be in tree format. Similar to how it looks in COA.
For my client we are performing a re-implementation, thus we have exported the current COA and client has modified/deleted/added few accounts and given back to us.
Now the excel sheet needs to be in form of tree structure similar to that what we see in application for DTW else it gives us a error saying that "illegal parent number"
As experts I need advice from you is there a work around were I could get the data in excel sheet as look alike as COA.?

For the error illegal parent number. one of the Possibility is The Father key u mention might be set as Active account
