I am trying to add some code to a web page using the HTML Snippet widget and it does not work on my page. the code is as follows:

Some Widget does not work after latest upgrade

Today is July 23rd, 2011. By recent latest upgrade, mainly for supporting Lion, where I am still using Snow Leopard 10.6.8, some widget does not work, including Battery Meter, Digital Clock Alarm, Victoria Digital Clock, etc.
By the way, my company use Chatter and I installed Chatter Desktop. Again, after recent upgrade, it no longer work anymore.
Do you experience the same problem?
For those who has upgraded to Lion, do you also find some widget does not work?

I have read a couple of complaints like that, but not sure it's widespread.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.
If that does NOT help, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
If that does NOT help then I suspect the optical drive or media itself, or possibly just needs a cleaning CD run on it.

Normally, you just connect the monitor to the MacBook using a VGA adaptor that you can buy from an Apple Store. Now try System Preferences > Displays > Detect Displays. You should now be able to select a display mode for the monitor. If it still doesn't work, then I'd check that everything is properly connected. I've had problems with colours disappearing due to a faulty connection in the VGA adaptor.

Should the advice above not fix things for you...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. HTTP Return Code on CSM causes IP Sticky does not work

I have CSM running on 3.1(1a).
I configured HTTP Return Code Checking:

But, the problem is my sticky does not work if I apply HTTP return code checking on the serverfarm.
"show mod contentswitchingmodule 8 sticky" does not show any IP sticky connection.
If I remove HTTP return code checking from serverfarm, my IP sticky is back to normal.
Has anyone encoutered this similar problem before?
Is this a bug on the CSM software?

This is a new bug.
The workaround is to use the command 'client 0.0.0.0 /0' under the vserver.

Calling test sequence from CVI DLL that use ATL COM object does not work

I am trying to call some DLL function writen in CVI from teststand. The CVI DLL is using ATL COM object(Written by me).
The ATL COM object making instance of several ATL COM object inside it (including two controls that contains dialog). If I use a client writen in VC++ 6 and use the ATL COM (writen by me) works perfectly. But if I try to use it from CVI DLL it does not work any more.
What is wrong? The client is passing an IUnknow interface to my component. Can anybody explain me what is wrong?

It is not clear from your question as to what is specifically failing. If possible, one option would be to remove TestStand from the picture and see if the problem still occurs using a CVI EXE that invokes the CVI DLL.

[Solved] Awesome 3.5: gmail vicious widget does not work

I updated my awesome from 3.4 to 3.5. I noticed that vicious.widgets.gmail does not work anymore. When I move my cursor on mailicon, I can only see N/A. Obviously in my home there is ~/.netrc file:

Marketplace widget does not work after update

Updated phone (Droid X) this morning (10-24-10). Seemed to go fine until I clicked on what was supposed to be the marketplace widget. It said something to the effect that the application was not installed. The usual Icon was replaced by a blue icon with the settings "cog" on the right side. Is there anyway to get the Marketplace widget back? By the way, it also does not show up in the application window or in the "Manage Applications" list. I have temporarily put a shortcut to the internet Marketplace on the home page.

This is a common issue after update.
There is only 2 ways I know that seem to work.
1. Reinstall app from a market backup apk (EStrong File Explorer works well)
2. Hard Reset on device.

Follow these settings during restore to avoid issues being restored automatically.
1. Go to homepage on device
2. Click left menu hard button
3. Select Settings from list (Bottom Right of Screen)
4. Scroll to "Privacy" in list
5. Select "Privacy"
6. Uncheck "Automatic Restore" and then "Back up my data" under Settings/Privacy
7. Click OK on the menu that pops up that says "Are you sure you want to stop bacing up your settings andapplication data and erase all copies on Google server?"
8. Click Factory Data Reset
9. Click Reset Phone
10. After reset is complete follow step to setup but do not input Google Email information
11. Once phone is at homepage go back into Settings/Privacy and make sure the Automatic Restore option is unchecked, even if grayed out, activate "Back up my data" and quickly disable "Automatic Restore"
5. After being sure that the Automatic Restore option is off it will be safe to log into Google by going to My Accounts and press New account button at bottom and input email account information.
This process will stop all applications and settings from restoring automatically and restoring original issues that usually resolve a number of issues.

Direct Dial Widget does not work

After adding several direct dial widgets to my home screen I noticed none of them work. You press the widget, the top notification bar turns Turquoise "same color as the phone app background" and a spinning "thinking" wheel appears for a few seconds. Nothing happens after. I have deleted the widget and re-made them numerous times. Any ideas?

Well that is great news! When a phone is in Safe Mode, it disables all 3rd party applications. Since your widget works in Safe Mode, all we need to do is remove the affecting 3rd party application. I would recommend uninstalling all 3rd party apps that were added on right before your widget stopped working. If your not sure what app might be causing this a Factory Reset is recommended http://vz.to/1qxiwgX to remove all 3rd party apps from the phone. I do recommend backing up all your information before you do this step. You can use Verizon Cloud http://vz.to/1qxj1HQ to store your media. Please keep us posted with your progress!

REPLACE command using passed variable values does not work

Are you aware of the replace command not working when passing strings as opposed to a variable containing the string.
For example:
This works:
     replace '>JUL 2008</a>' with I_TEXT_VALUE into
                I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE.
This dosen't work:
     replace I_TEXT_VALUE_MATCH with I_TEXT_VALUE into
                 I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE.
where I_TEXT_VALUE_MATCH = '>JUL 2008</a>'
where I_TEXT_VALUE = '>JUL 2008<BR>Actual</a>'

The following method was used to derive the same outcome required as per the REPLACE command.
      LEN_REPLACE = STRLEN( C_CELL_CONTENT ) - 12.
      I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE = C_CELL_CONTENT.
    replace I_TEXT_VALUE_MATCH with I_TEXT_VALUE into
                I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE.
      I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE = I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE+0(LEN_REPLACE).
      CONCATENATE I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE I_TEXT_VALUE INTO
                    I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE.
      C_CELL_CONTENT = I_TEXT_VALUE_REPLACE.

Multiple operation using the same port does not work

I am trying to have multiple operations on both ports
here is my wsdl snapshot

I just added two new methods "StartWait" and "StopWait" to the default async. template that got generated when I created a new BPEL Project "CommonAlerter"
Now I call this BPEL process from another BPEL project
The three methods I call "initiate", "StartWait" and finally "StopWait" are at different stages in my calling BPEL processes. Although "initiate" gets called first.
When I debug the calling process instance I get an error on the call to "StopWait" which gets called after "StartWait".
Here is the error message

Here are the steps for multi operation synchronous BPEL process :
1.     Create a new BPEL process and delete request and response activities.
2.     Now add the porttype/operation in the BPEL process wsdl.
3.     Start the Process with a Pick activity and click on Create Instance checkbox. Remove the onAlarm branch as we do not need this. In the onMessage branch specify the name of the operation.
4. Now add onMessage branches to match the number of operations. The flow for each onMessage branch is different. Just make sure that you create a reply activity at the end with the correct operation chosen. So you might end up having multiple return activities.
Sometimes, a wsdl with multiple operations might not work as expected if the process version is 1.0. So try changing the process version in case you are not getting the expected results.
