Code to long error

im writing a class that contains a list of words and returns true if the passed word is contained within it, but when i try to compile it i get a code to long error.
IS there away around this error, or do i have to redo the code?

how long has your friend had the system? did he do anything to it before it started doing this?
you say you swapped the memory, does the system have two sticks, if so try just one on its own. if you only have one stick in it, then try some memory out of another machine. do you have an AGP card you could try? maybe some nasty dust is settled inside AGP slot, try blowing out with air duster

String Literal Too Long - error?

I'm using a CLOB datatype but via an ODBC connection I'm given an error when I insert a value larger than 4000 chars:
ODBC Error Code = S1000 (General error)
[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-01704: string literal too long.
SQL:
insert into TEST2
(ARTICLE,UUID)
values ('Very long string I wont repeat here!','1234')
DESCRIBE confirms that the datatype is CLOB and not VARCHAR2. Am I doing something wrong or is it a restriction in the ODBC driver? The version installed is 8.1.5.6. I can't install the very latest version because it comaplains that it needs a newer version of the Oracle Installer. Thanks.

Don't do any setting changes, try to modify the code if it is custom namespace.
assume this the code with more than 72chars..
read table itab into wa_itab with key matnr = v_matnr vbeln = vbeln transporting something binary search
you have to break that into two lines like the below..
read table itab into wa_itab with key matnr = v_matnr
vbeln = vbeln
transporting something binary search
where ever you find the line more than 72 chars you change it. not event comment lines should not exceed more than 72 chars.

if you are using READ REPORT if you have a program with more than 72 chars length then you will end up with that error. see the standard SAP documentation

In Jdeveloper 9i, sequence.next() is not castable to an Integer.
Try casting it to a Long (Long has an intValue() function as
well).

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 9 running on? I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit for now.
As for the Help Menu/Update way for updating, are you doing that with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? If not, please do so.
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update of the program installed? What version of Camera Raw do you have installed?
Premiere Elements 9 is an older program where you can still do manual installs for that one and only Update. And, Camera Raw for 9 is no longer being updated.

'sort key too long error' while trying to use dynamic sql

Hi All,
I have been trying to generate an interactive report using a dynamically generated SQL query.. for this I have
1) Created a application process that returns the dynamically generated SELECT statement
2) Create a process in the page which creates a collection based on the SELECT statement returned by the application process
3) An interactive report that selects ALL (SELECT * ....) from that particular collection.
On implementing I am getting the 'ORA-01467: sort key too long' error.
On checking this out online I realized that one has to change the Block size of the database to get past this error, but in order to do that I would have to re-create the database, create a backup of the data and then re enter them into the new database which would be a nightmare.
I would like to know if there is any work around to this....

We face the same problem with some BI4 reports.
The same report works well with the "Crystal Reports Viewers API", as used in Infoview, but not with the "Report Application Server (RAS) API".
This error appears after some time working on a report. If we reproduce the same report, but from zero, no problem.

IN SAP P7.1 created simple two data types, message types and Message Mapping with only 2 fields. While testing the mapping in Message Mapping it is giving the error as

I am able to activate the Datatypes and Message Types but not able to activate the Messge mapping.

but otherthan this SWC it not working success fully.....

Hi David,
please check the default trace. It may contain the entry:
Error in compiling : java.io.IOException: Not enough space
If that's the case, maybe there's too little space for the swap file/device.
You should ensure that at least 2X (preferably 3X) of Heap (-Xmx) is configured as real swap

I've tested that the feed is functional because I have no problem subscribing to it in Google Calendar.

How to display a long error text (in multiple lines) in ME21N / ME22N message popup we get while saving or checking the PO. My error message length is 100 chars. It is displaying only 40 chars in a single line. My requirement is to display that in multiple lines of message popup. Please let me know asap.

Messages have long texts.... Uncheck the self-explanatory box, change your long message to a short one, place your long message in the long text of your message. SAP should handle the rest.

EMac optical drive: Reads but ceased writing. I get "Sense key=MEDIUM ERROR, Sense Code=0x0C, WRITE ERROR. Drive is Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-127D.

eMac optical drive: reads fine but has ceased writing. One day it's working fine, burning DVDs, then after repeated attempts stops copying and gives the following error message: "Sense key=MEDIUM ERROR, Sense Code=0x0C, WRITE ERROR". Drive is Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-127D. Is this a software issue or is the drive half dead? Get the same result with either Popcorn or Toast 10.

Are you using Roxio Toast? That error seems to be discussed a lot in the Roxio forums. Scroll down this thread:

I'm attempting to run this on a file server where all replicated folders live in the D:\data drive. I am not sure why I would get a "Path Too Long" error and the exception does not provide any clues as to what it doesn't like -- or if it does,
