Code to parse java code

anyone know where we can get the code that parses the Java code that we put here ?
i was thinking it would be a good base to use as a pre-compiler project - so we can have pre-compiler flags like in c - say to include logging ...
example of the code formatting at work:
class Rename{
  * Rename a file from command line,
  * args[0] is the existing file name
  * args[1] is the new file name
  public static void main (String[] args)
   try{
    java.io.File fExisting = new java.io.File(args[0]);
    java.io.File fNew = new java.io.File(args[1]);
    if(!fExisting.exists()){
     System.out.println("Rename will fail as source does not  exist. Exiting");
     return;
    if(fNew.exists()){
     System.out.println("Rename might fail as target already exits - delete it first ");
    System.out.println("attempt rename :\n" + fExisting.getAbsolutePath() + "\n to:\n" + fNew.getAbsolutePath() );
    boolean b = fExisting.renameTo(fNew);
    if(b){
     System.out.println("Done ok ");
    }else{
     System.out.println("rename failed ");
   }catch(Throwable e){
    System.out.println("Could not rename " + e);
    e.printStackTrace();
synchrozied (objSync){
try{
  while(bPause){
   Thread.sleep(250);
  }catch(Throwable e){
   //can ignore
}would be a nice source forge project - unless there is already one out there

Try this link from Javaranch - I started reading it, but got distracted and did not pursue it very far. It's about JFlex parser and an example of parsing java code is provided or linked to:

  • Class compiling/executing JAVA-Code??

    Hi!
    Stupid question: ;-)
    Is there a possibility to "parse" Java-Code into a JAVA-Class or to give JAVA-Code to a class that compiles the code and execute it?
    Thanks for answering!
    Mark Hauchwitz.

    background: we're running servlets and simply need to "parse" specialized/customized java-code for every customer into the servlet code. Source: database or whatever...
    How to get started?

  • Test.jsp not able to display the output from the java code.

    when i try to invoke http://localhost/papz/test.jsp
    I dont see anything. The page is blank. And there are no error messages in any log files. When i click on view source in IE i get to see the entire source code, including the jave code.
    <html>
    <head>

    <body>
    <%
    out.println("Hello World");
    %>
    asdfasdfasdf
    </body>
    </html>
    i added in the asdfasdf to see whehter it will be printed or not... It does print that stuff out.
    when i try to invoke the login.jsp page, i get the dialog box "save this file to disk"
    Any clues whats going on...?
    I followed the instructions...over and over again... but it doesnt seem to help.

    Hi,
    Have you solved your problem?
    I4m trying to do the same, but I installed portal 30, then portal to go, and when I try to run test.jsp I get the following error:

    Exception:

  • Pass Map to Java Code

    I want to pass a map using Xpress to java code and it seems to be getting error. The java code is suppose to make use of the input hash map, process it, create another hash map and return it back to the calling code. I am having trouble in passing the map created using xpress to the java code (i.e. no problem if i tried to do a similar process by inputing a string and getting a string back)
    Sample Xpress code:
    ===============
    <block>
    <set name='myInput'>
    <map>
    <s>First Key</s>
    <s>Key 1 Value</s>
    <s>Second Key</s>
    <s>Key 2 Value</s>
    </map>
    </set>
    <set name='return'>
    <invoke name='myMethodName' class='com.Test.ClassName'>
    <ref>myInput</ref>
    </invoke>
    </set>
    <ref>return</ref> ==> should get back HashMap created using java code
    </block>
    Sample Java code
    =============
    public HashMap myMethodName(HashMap hMapInput) {
    HashMap hm = new HashMap();
    hm = .....do something with input hMapInput
    .....create a new map
    return hm;
    }

    your code looks ok, By the way what error did you get?

  • How to view the java code of the message mapping,

    Hi Experts,
    <b>how to view the java code of the message mapping,</b>
    how to get the background java code of the message mapping(graphical mapping).
    And where to view it?

    Hi sowmya,
    Open any  Message mapping in IR. Press <b>CtrlShift0(zero)</b> to open a new menu.
    There you will find an option "Is Java Source Code Available?"
    There will be an export button nearby. Use it to get the code.
    Open it in a zip , you will see the hide java code.
    The JAVA code for graphical msg mapping is in below folder:
    \usr\sap\<SID>\<DVEBMGS10>\j2ee\cluster\server0\temp\classpath_resolver
    Here all the mapping jars are there in this folder.
    Just decompile these jars and you can see the code.

  • Formatting java code in html [code]

    Hi ppl,
    any suggestions how does code tag(formatted java code) works in this site?
    thanks in advance.

    thanks for looking at my post.

    So what I am after is any hints or links, for how to achieve this.

  • How can i add more statements in java code dynamically...

    I have a (business works) BW process in TIBCO which has many activities including java code. In java code activity I have some if statements like
    if (Country.equals("USA))
    Country code = 1
    else if(Country.equals("GERMANY))
    Country code = 49
    the above information is coming from database. now my project is deployed and running. In future, if they add more countries in database how I can include them dynamically without changing my BW process java code activity and redeploying again. Is there any solution?
    Please advice.

    You won't reconfigure the Java application without redeploying. This is one of the reasons that including data in the code is bad.
    If you created a file which contained data like this:
    Canada <tab> 1
    USA <tab> 12
    Germany <tab> 6
    Then your program could read the file into a map. The map could be used to lookup the country code based on the name.
    In the future, you could change the file to:
    Canada <tab> 1
    USA <tab> 12
    Germany <tab> 6
    France <tab> 17
    China <tab> 2
    And the program wouldn't need to be changed. You would just need to send out the new country file.

  • How to generate the java code of a table's data model by parsing it's FXML?

    I have know how to create FXML file that describes a table. Meanwhile, according to [Oracle Tutorial|http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/fxml_get_started/fxml_tutorial_intermediate.htm#CACFEHBI], it is a best practice to implement a class that defines the data model and provides methods and fields to further work with the table.
    However, It's rather cumbersome and time consuming to typing the code. So, is there any tools that can generate the java code of a table's data model by parsing it's FXML describe file?
