Collect Multiple IDOC(Single IDOC type) to single file using BPM

Hi All,
When i am generating multiple IDOC for the same message type, i am getting multiple payload for the same as a result i used to get multiple files generated in application server.
Now if i use BPM only to collect multiple IDOC to a file then what all the steps that i need to follow for the same.
Ex: I want to post 10 IDOC for a single IDOC type,, Now using BPM in XI i want to collect all the 10 IDOCs with multiple payload into one single message and then want to process this in XI to generate the file.
It would be glad if anyone refer me a good step by step blog for the same.
Thanks in advance,
Jay

Thanks a lot Abhisek.
I have also got a blog explaining the exact thing. But in the blog the ID part was missing which is present in the link you have provided.
I will be glad if you can through some light on the ID part,, however the IR part and the BPM part is now mostly okay to me.
I will configure this today only,, and may seek your help for any huddle.
Thanks a lot once again.
Regards,
Jay.

  • Multiple IDocs to File using BPM

    Hi All,
I have configured a scenario of multiple IDocs to file using BPM.  In this scenario while I am triggering IDoc from R/3 system it is sent to the external program.    I am getting in the status record of WE05 as IDoc is sent to an external system with status code 03. But I am unable to view the same message in moni of the XI system.
Also I have checked the ALE settings on both the sender and receiver side and it is fine.
Also in SM58 nothing is there in queue.
Can anyone solve this issue of mine?
    Cheers,
    Neethu.

    Hi,
in many cases it's a problem with the RFC connection. You should try an authorization test in SM59 of the R/3 system.

The type of Raw File used in my Canon 7D MKll is not supported in Camera Raw, Adobe Bridge or Photoshop 5S. How do I fix this?

I gather you are using Photoshop CS5? The most recent Camera Raw version that CS5 will accept is ACR 6.7. Support for the Canon 7D Mark II was added in ACR 8.7.1. You will have to use the DNG converter to covert your CR2 files to the universal DNG raw format. Here are the links for the DNG converter:

  • Configuring a multiple IDOC-File using BPM

    HI,
My scenario involves 2different idocs which are to be mapped to a file structure, the steps that i have followed in IR is ,
    1.Create target MesageType
    message Interfaces.
2.Create 2 Abs interfaces based on IDOC
    3.Create 1 Abs for o/p of BPM.
    4.Create 1 Inb for target.
    Message mapping.
5.Two dummy mappings for outbound idocs to abstract idocs.
    6.One multimapping(two idocs-->File)
7.One Dummy mapping for Abstract Intf(output of BPM) to target Filestructure(inbound).
    Interface Mapping.
8.Two Mesage intf for changing Outbound idocs to Abstract using the dummy mapping programs)
9.One Message Intf using 2 abs Idocs to One Abs File(using the multimapping pgm)
10.one msg Intf for BPM Out --> Inb File (using the dummy mapping pgm)
    Integration Process.
I have used a fork step under which there are 2 recieve steps to recieve the IDOCS and then a Transformation step that would multi-map the idocs to the file, then a send step.
Please let me know if the approach is right.
Also Could anybody please let me know what steps do i need to take in the Configuration part and should i use the wizard or should i do it manually.
the problem using the wizard is it doesnt let me choose 2 Message interfaces for the sender ie; IDOCS,
Please help me on this.Thank you waiting for a reply....)

    John,
<i>5.Two dummy mappings for outbound idocs to abstract idocs.
7.One Dummy mapping for Abstract Intf(output of BPM) to target Filestructure(inbound).</i>
These dummy mappings are needed. As both the Abstract Message Interfaces and the Idoc / Inbound interface will use the same message type, no dummy mapping needed. In the interface determination for these, no interface mapping needs to be mnetioned.
    ID.
    Receiver Determaintions
    1. Sender Service -- IDOC1  and Reciver Service is -- BPM. Sender Interface will be IDOC1 and Receiver Interafce will be The IDOC abs interface . No Interface mapping.
    2. Sender Service --- IDOC2 and Receiver Service is -- BPM. Sender Interface will be IDOC2 and Receiver Interafce will be The IDOC abs interface . No Interface mapping.
    3. Sender Service is BPM , and receiver servcice is File. Sender Interface is File Abs interface and reciver interface is the Inbound File interface.

We need to create output file for each record. In this case, the system should generate 26 output files.
I imported the RFC and created the required interfaces and designed BPM also.
Start --> Receive step --> Synchronous Send --> Asynchronous Send
But, I stuck in how to deliver each record to the output file from BPM.
Any idea, friends. (like using BPM Multi-line option. or 'Receiver From' property in the Send Step)
Kindly help me friends to solve this issue.
    Thanking you.
    Kind Regards,
    Jeg P.

    Hi
You can do it by creating one another message interface having structure same as your table.
What you have to do is create a mapping in such a way that for each record in table one message(newly created) must be created.
Use that mapping in an interface mapping, remember occurence of target message should be 0..Unbounded both in message mapping and interface mapping.
Now create one single line message and one multiline message in BPM for newly created message.Use transformation step with new interface mapping, mention source(RFC response) and target message(use multiline element of new message) for the transformation step.
Use send step inside a block, set block mode to "forEach", and attach new message to that send step.
Use multiline and single element of new message in the property window of block.
Now your BPM will look like
    Start ---> Receiver ---> Synchronous send ---> Transformation ---> Block ---> Async Send(within block)
I think in this way you can implement what you want.

    Sami

  • Not merging the XML files  in single file using BPM file to file  payload

    Dear All,
i am working on BPM N:1 Scenario my design and config looks correct . it is picking the file and appending into my defined  "ContainerList" but in receiver side .i mean Inbound side it is putting the data of one one file with the contents of first file . i am not getting any error in SXMB_MONI.
this is e.g of my two file
    >>> first file  DATA1. XML
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <ns1:MT_INF xmlns:ns1="urn://collppayload">
      <ID>IND</ID>

      <ID>IND</ID>
      <Value>2</Value>
      <Name>rakesh</Name>
      </ns1:MT_INF>
But in Inbound side in target it is create the file with data
    >>>>  in.xml
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <ns1:MT_INF xmlns:ns1="urn://collppayload">

hope u will understand my issue i want the two outbound file should be merged . plz tell me how i will resolve it.

    Dear Raj,
    My scenario is N:1 BPM
i have created one data type and one message type same using for source and target.
Message interfaces.   outbound Asyn, outbound Asyn Abstract, Abstarct Asyn, and Inbound Asyn
two message mapping :  outbound asyn --to ---outbound asyn abstract which is 1 to 0 unbound... and outbound asyn abst -- to --- Abstract asyn which is 0 unbound... to 1
    then two Interface mappings
    and Integration process
    Now ID i created
    1 recv agreemt.
    1 send agreemt.
2 Interface detrm and two recv determ
this was my IR and ID desg and congf respctvly.

  • How to determine mime-type of a file using OSB

I was working on a requirement where in it requires to use FILE/ FTP adapters using OSB or BPEL as solution. The idea is to pick up files from one location to another location for certain legacy platforms. The real issue is, someone can put a JPEG file in the upload/download location(s), merely by changing the extensions. When this happens the systems will not process since the mime-type is incorrect.
I know of an open-source API (Apache-Tikka) to determine the mime-types, but then if we use open-source why would customer buy from us.
The intention is to pick-up the file and simply pass-it (and not parse) on to next system using File or FTP adapter, but in the process, cross check the MIME-TYPE before doing so.
Any solution using Oracle Service Bus or BPEL would help

    HI Birender,
Kindly go through the metalink doc for processsing jpeg/xml/pdf etc any atachement using bpel :Understanding XPATH functions for processing MIME attachments with BPEL PM in SOA Suite 11gR1 [ID 1272093.1]

  • Bundling of idocs using BPM

    Hi
If you are using BPM to bundle the idocs and send them in file format to target system.............. here we can think of 3 different options on which we can bundle
    1. Payload based
    2. Message based
    3. Time based.
Could you plz confirm me if we can achieve all these 3 options even without BPM in the application system ?? If we can achieve this in the applicaiton system itself ........are there any situations in which we are foced to use BPM for this particular scenario (Bundling of idocs)
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
Very simple example which  I had faced....
If you bundle idocs are application level..i.e. by setting XML port to collect idocs you will have multiple Control records i.e. control record for every idoc where as if you bundle them using BPM you can have only one control record. ( which we need most of the time while bundling idocs.)
Also in BPM you can set correlation on payload data. You can have multiple condition here...but at application level you do not get that control. Basically I think you get a control over Payload in BPM and you can play as you want.
Again even at application level if you try to bundle large number of idocs it will give you memory dump ( in sap)..
But bundling idocs at application level is faster process than BPM.

  • Idoc to soap using BPM

    Hi,

    Hi,
    These Steps may help you
    Design objects:
    Data type & Message Type
    1) Import the IDOC and Later you import the Idoc, doble click on it a export it to your driver, next import it as External Definition for reason becouse if not, you wont be able to create a MI type synch with IDOC and genericResponse structure
    2) Create data type for your Response Type of IDOC
    3) Import the WSDL File For Request and the Response Type
    4) Create the Message types according to the Data types which we created
    Messgae Interface:
    1) Outbound synchronous:
output message will be ur idoc external definition file
input message will be ur message type that u have created.
    2) Abstract Outbound Synchronous:
use the same as in Outbound Synchronous
    3) Inbound Synchronous:
input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
    4)Abstract Inbound Sunchronous:
input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
    Mapping
    Request Message Mapping:
b/w ur idoc external definiton and request message of RFC/WS
    response Message Mapping:
b/w ur Response message of RFC/WS and ur message type
    Interface Mapping
    Import MI(abstract) of IDOC
    Import MI of WS
select the mapping for request and response Tab
    BPM
    1) In container window define a variable named IDoc_ABS with category abstract interface and
type (select the MI of IDOC alone)
define a variable named GenericRespnse_abs with category abstract interface and type (select
       MI of genericResponse alone)
    2) Create a Recieve Step --> in property message select the container you define before of idoc.
    3) Define a Send Step--> mode synchronous
select MI type abstract and sync (idoc and genericResponse)
for property request message selects container Idoc_ABS
for property response message selects container GenericRespnse_abs.
Save your Changes and thats all for BPM
    Configuration
    1) Create scenario
Assign BS and create comunication channels with QoS (quality of service) type BE
    2) Import your BPM
       Create a Receiver Determination
-->in the target service select the BPM. Save
-->In overview windown at foot windowns select MI IDoc_abs only. nothing else
    Create a Receiver Determination
-->here the system who send data is BPM
-->in the target service select the BS of receiver system.Save
-->In overview windown at foot windowns select interface mapping and assing communication channel
what we do here. the flow is next
    1) Receive data from sender system and send it to BPM
    2) BPM call bs of target system (WS). how? because in interface determination you selected
       before the interface mapping

    Hi,
Im having a similar problem and i was wondering if you were able to get a solution??
    Thanks for your help.

  • Want to add multiple idoc type with single message type.

    Hi Gurus,
I have a problem. I want to add multiple idoc type with single message type in WE20.
How we can do this in WE20 or is there any other way to do that?
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Srimanta.

    hi,
basically in partner profile i.e. in we20 , we add details to the receiver / sender port that we have created using we21.
so what exactly we do in that is that we first use the message type for those idocs that we have created.
now based on those message type we create a process code. now this is the reason why you cannot apply several message types with the same name in we20... as process code is unque for each message type.
so thats why you can only assign the same message name to several idocs in we82 and then in we20 define the process code for that message type.
    it will solve your problem.
    hope this will help you!!!
    Thanks & regards,
    punit raval.

    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 1
    Segment 2
    Segment 3
    Status Record
I should get output like below
    Inbound:
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 1
    Status Record
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 2
    Status Record
    ZIdocName
    Control Record
    Data Record
    Segment 3
    Status Record
Please suggest me step by step process to achieve this task.
    Thanks.

Thanks a lot Harish for reply.
I have small doubt. According to your reply , If we have N number of segments in single IDOC with same fields in all segments then for splitting Single IDOC into Multiple IDOC's based on Segment Type we need to duplicate N number of target IDOC tree structure.
Is that possible to Split single IDOC into Multiple IDOC's based on Segment Type using only one Target IDOC structure without duplicating the Target IDOC structure tree.
