Collections with no Authentication (public) problem (SOLVED)

I'm having the next problem:
I have a page where I call an application proces with javascript. The application proces inserts a record into a collection. Everything works fine untill I set my page Authentication to Page is Public.
Now the collection doesn't fill up, my application process is being called but it doesn't do anything. My question is if I have done something wrong or is it not possible to work with collections when a user is not logged in.
Or maybe it is something with the Authentication of my application process?
If it is not possible is there any work-around for this problem?

Hi Oli,
Collections are user-session specific.
Provided the collection is create and manipulated during a single session (check the session id in the url to confirm this), you shouldn't have any problems.
If, however, you create a collection outside of a session and then login (eg, because you've moved from a public page to a page that requires authentication), your collection is lost.
So the first thing to do, if possible, would be to ensure that the user remains in the same session throughout the expected lifetime of the collection.
If this is not possible, then you should consider having a table to hold the information and provide the user with some means of transferring data from this table to the actual data tables or deleting data if it no longer required. Obviously, this would mean that you would need to incorporate some means of identifying the user - normally this would be a user id but, if they are not logged in, this may not be possible.

qHow do u get help from apple support with iChat? I was able to chat with support last week to solve my problem but now the same issue is back and I don't see the option to chat now?
For what it is worth I have noticed a similar issue from the iPad3 while at work and home. At work we have two Apple TV 3rd Generation installed and tied to our A/V system. I believe the issue has to do with a timeout on the broadcast saying "here I am" and allowing devices to connect.
For example:
At work we have several Wi-Fi SSID being broadcast from Cisco APs. The only one we can use with the Apple TV is the one that uses a WEP since the others are either setup to be hidden, require web page authentication, or have a login requirement from employees. Essentially, what I believe the issue is that the Apple TV periodically broadcasts a message to other iOS devices that support Mirroring. When the Apple TV does not get a response from a device it goes into a dormant mode and requires either a command from the remote control or a reboot. This has been tested with both the power management enabled and not enabled with the same results.
As for when I come home, the Apple TV3 has not seen the device in some time and therefore is not broadcasting it's location information. A simple click of the circle or menu keys on the remote will give it the command to start broadcasting again and allow the iPad3 to see the Apple TV. When trying to Home Share the computer can not play (iTunes 11, Win8RTM) until the Apple TV is awoken then it will show up for mirroing.
This may or may not assist you but, it hopefully explains how the issue may be happening. -
Problems with Anonymous authentication !!

I hope this is the right forum to ask my problem. And also, I would like to say that I dont have any idea in Java.
Our problem is
1. We are using Java SSL as server and OpenSSL as client.
2. For server authentication, the connection is successful.
3. But for Anonymous authentication, the connection fails in read server hello.
I am not sure why this connection is failing. I have referred to client log file but did not get any information to solve the problem.
I dont know how to check log information in the server side if it provides.
Our settings are like this in server.xml for server side :

Please let me know whether above settings are OK for Anonymous authentication or not.

You may think that if I am not familiar, why I am posting ? :) I am supporting some other project team for SSL. So, we have faced this problem. I am familiar with SSL but not Java.

the connection fails in read server hello. Fails how? With what exception? stack trace? message? What happens if you run the server with -Djavax.net.debug=ssl,handshake?
Please let me know whether above settings are OK for Anonymous authentication or not.They are not. You would have to enable one or more of the anonymous cipher suites. They are disabled by default.
Next question, why are you doing anonymous SSL? Are you aware that it isn't secure? -

We have OS Windows 7 Professional and doesn´t have problems with the authentication.

RegardsWe were investigated with specialist people of OS Windows and the conclusion was that the Home Premium Version has restrictions about authentication and domain (Active Directory). So we need change the version of OS (Proffessional for example).
If you had another tip, please tell me and I try it for resolve this issue, if not we have to change the OS.

Problem consuming web service with basic authentication

I've set up a web service with basic authentication. Although I have to log in before being able to open the overview page of the web service in the Web Service Navigator, the response I get after sending a request is:
Authority check failed
I get this response in the Web Service Navigator as well as when consuming the web service via standalone proxy classes.
The following is strange, too: It is not possible to change authentication in the generated logical port. It is set to "none". I changed it via the XML file where I added the properties "AuthenticationMethod" (value "BasicAuth") and "AuthenticationMechanism" (value "HTTP"). But I got the above response anyway.

RegardsI used basic authentication for my web service.
I was able to obtain a hardcopy of the logfiles in the meantime. The invocation of the web service is stored there with the following error messages:

Can't send in Apple Mail with .Mac - authentication problem
I use Entourage on my laptop for my business account and Apple Mail on my laptop for my .mac account. Sometimes when I travel and am using hotel and Tmobile wireless hotspots, I have to turn off password authentication for my SMTP server in order to send mail. This works like a champ in Entourage, but when I try to turn off password authentication in Mail for my .Mac account, it automatically still tries to authenticate! This results in me not being able to send .Mac mail. I tested this in Entorage on my .Mac account, turned off authentication for smtp.mac.com and it works, so this is definitely an Apple Mail problem specific to .Mac. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? I have tried to create a new smtp.mac.com account in Apple mail that does not authenticate, but somehow it changes into an smtp account with password authentication. Help.

Having said that, is there a chance that your Internet Service Provider is somehow blocking some file types?
I've recently come across a cpouple of European internet providers who do block executables and key file types that are known to cause problems or that might contain viruses/trojans. -

I have a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2012 Chrysler Town and Country and both worked flawlessly with the iPhone 5s my wife and I had. However, we just upgraded to the iPhone 6 and Uconnect will receive calls but you cannot answer them. You can callout successfully, however. the annoyance being the inability to answer incoming calls in the HandsFree mode.
