Color of Axis Label and Line

Hi, Forum.
Is it possible to change the color of "one" line or label of Axis on XYChart ?
For example, I would like to change the color of only 100% line and label to red
(and the others are with no change).
thank you.

Unfortunately I do not have that option of selecting the date format, if there is a way to set format in formula then that'd be great.  The datetime is returned from a grouping formula which is determined via a dataset provided by a 3rd party app (CR is integrated).  Also, printing data in a 24hr"military time" format is not optimal because the 3rd party app does not display time in that format anywhere else (and I work for the 3rd party meaning charts must comply with the standards of the app).  I'm beginning to think this is impossible but if this helps then great.
I'd like to define a "Group/Sort" formula for the group/sort options of the date field I'm grouping on.  Configure it to be ascending "CRAscendingOrder" and configure it to group "for each hour", "for each minute", "for each day", etc based on the total time span of the dataset.  Unfortunately CR will not dynamically group records based on date so this is what I'm left with.  If what I describe is not possible then I'll go the ridiculously complex formula route.
Thanks for your replies! Help is always appreciated!

  • Can any1 provide me the script file which will genrate the X-axis label and Y-axis label ?

    I have two channels and I want to create a report with 2D axis system. I do not want to drag and drop those two channels into 2D axis system. Can any1 provide me the script by which I can automate the script in such a manner that while running the script only I will get label of X-axis and Y-axis.
    I tried with enabling the script but it was not able to generate X-axis label (Ex.-Time) and Y-axis label (Ex. - Speed)?

    Hi Etn,
    The best way to create a script which manipulates an existing layout via script is using the Ctrl-A function within the parameterization dialogs.
    The following example creates a 2D axis system with one curve and sets the axis labelling explicitly:
    Call PicLoad("Template")                    'New layout
    Call GraphObjNew("2D-Axis","New_2DAxis1")   'Creates a new 2D axis system
    Call GraphObjOpen("New_2DAxis1")            'Opens the axis object
      D2AxisBackColor  ="grey"                  'Sets the background color
      D2AxisTop        =10                      'Sets the position
      D2AxisBottom     =10
      D2AxisLeft       =10
      D2AxisRight      =10
      Call  GraphObjNew("2D-Curve","New_Curve") 'Creates a new curve
      Call GraphObjOpen("New_Curve")            'Opens the curve object
        D2CChnXName      =ChnNameExt(1)         'Defines the x-channel
        D2CChnYName      =ChnNameExt(2)         'Defines the y-channel
        D2CurveColor     ="red"                 'Defines the curve color
      Call GraphObjClose("New_Curve")           'Closes the curve object
      Call GraphObjOpen("2DXAxis1_1")
        D2AxisXTxt       = "@@ChnName(CurrChnNo)@@ [@@ChnDim(CurrChnNo)@@] (My Speed)" ' Defines the x-label
      Call GraphObjClose("2DXAxis1_1")
      Call GraphObjOpen("2DYAxis1_1")
        D2AxisYTxt       = "@@ChnName(CurrChnNo)@@ [@@ChnDim(CurrChnNo)@@] (My Time)" ' Defines the y-label
      Call GraphObjClose("2DYAxis1_1")
    Call GraphObjClose("New_2DAxis1")           'Closes the axis object
    Call PicUpdate()                            'Updates the report

  • CR Enterprise - Custom y-axis labels for line chart

    Hi
    I have data with a discrete status (STATUS-1...STATUS-5) per day, like
    Feb 1: STATUS-1
    Feb 2: STATUS-2
    Feb 3: STATUS-2
    Feb 4: STATUS-1
    Feb 30: STATUS-4
    Feb 31: STATUS-1
    This series I'd like to render in a date axis line chart with the daily status ordinals (1-5) on the y-axis.
    Now I wonder how I can label the y-axis ticks with the respective STATUS text instead of the ordinal.
    Unfortunately, the option "Total (Y) Axis/Axis/AxisLabels/Display Label" is disabled due to the value's numeric nature.
    How can I manually overwrite y-axis labels or map them to custom text?
    Thanks. Jens

    HI Jens,
    Have you tried creating a formula and using that in 'Show Values' section of the chart?
    Formula:
    "STATUS-" & {Numeric_field}

  • Line Charts - X-axis Labels as function of X-axis value

    Hi,
    1) Is there a way to put X-Axis labels in line chart as function of X-axis values ?
    For instance, X-axis values are in minutes and I need to show those as Hours.
    I'm having Hours as separate column as well, but when its selected as X-axis value column, the line graph is disturbed.
    2) Also, how to specify the length/range of X-axis ?
    For instance, in dataset if I've x-axis values from 0 to 5 hours but still want to show on graph the X-axis till 8 hours.
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Sumit,

  • How to display axis labels on both x and y-axis of a column chart

    hi,
     i have an urgent requirement of having axis labels on both x and y axis
    In x-axis i got it by sorting order also but in y-axis i'm unable to do
    i need in y-axis ,my column values are L1,L2,L3,----L10these shuold display in y-axis in sorting order and 0 in axis should remain as it is ..........how to take the interval ....? as of now i'm using Auto
    my y-axis values shud look like 0,L1,L2,L3,L4,----L10can anyone get perfect solution
    thanx in advance
    lucky

    Hi Lucky,
    Per my understanding that you want to display the values(Column1) like  "L1,L2,L3....L10" which comes from the "Series group" in the Y-Axis label and keep the row group in "Category group" to
    display in the x-axis and Numric column(1,2,3,4) in the "Value", right?
    Gernerally the lable display in the y-axis is automatically based on the value of the Numric column in the "Value" and it default is numbric labels.
    I have tested on my local environment and in your scenario, i suggest to hide the axis lable of the y-axis and create an tablix to only show the one column contains the values (L1,L2,L3,L3) to display in the place of the hidden y-axis label.
    Detais information about to design an new y-axis label ae below for your reference:
    Create an tablix to display only the row group of the "Column1" ( for the
    Column1 may have duplicate values, you can create parent row group for this column and hide the detail column by setting the "Column Visibility").
    Right click the y-axis to select the "Vertical Axis Properties" and select the "Labels" on the left pane to check the "Hide Axis labels"
    Select the Chart Area and in the properties set value of left=0 under the CustomPosition:
    Set the border style=None for both the Chart and Column1's row group
    Drag the tablix at the position near the hidden y-axis and set the size of both the chart and the tablix to make the value in the tablix row group(Column1) to be align with the y-axis label:
    Right click the "Chart legend" to delete or hide the legend
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Help! extremely small labels in Line Chart

    Hi all,
    I met a problem that i've been working on for a long time.
    If the SQL returned too many rows (e.g. 200+) to generate the Line Chart, the X/Y axis Labels would be too small to be recognised.
    I tried whatever i can imagine, like generating much fewer labels in the PL/SQL and using a font-size 30+...
    So far, so bad.
    Any suggestion???
    Thanks you so much!!!!

    Hi,
    Actually, there are many possible causes for this issue. Could you please tell me how the category labels come from? In other words, why are they all
    the same? I would like to suggest you post some sample data and your chart settings here. I have created a report with chart which has duplicate horizontal axis labels. To achieve your purpose, I hide all horizontal axis labels, and then use horizontal axis
    title instead of horizontal axis labels. I have uploaded my report as an example:
    With duplicate horizontal axis labels:
    http://cid-854fa6d2b7d88cc7.office.live.com/self.aspx/Work/Old.rdl
    No duplicate horizontal axis labels:
    http://cid-854fa6d2b7d88cc7.office.live.com/self.aspx/Work/New.rdl
    If there is anything unclear, please feel free to ask.
    Thanks,

  • Stacked bar chart with custom x axis labels

    Is there a way to build this simple chart in labview that I did in Excel?  I need to have many x axis labels and there could be from 5 to 100 of them depending on the data set.

    Hi id,
    Thank you for your response. I hope you are doing well.
    There is an example in the LabVIEW Example Finder (Help>>Find Examples..). It is titled, Stacked Bar Graph. You can search for it if you switch tabs in the Example Finder window. This should help you create a stacked bar graph. To help you with your veritcal axis labels, here is a knowledge base link that details the process:

  • Editing chart Axis label

    Hi. I have a report where one chart repeats one time, and in Preview, I am able to click on the Axis label and find an option to Edit the label, where I define 1 - 12 as Jan - Dec. However, another chart repeats for 80 or so pages, thus I can't use Preview to edit the label as it effects one chart at a time. Is there a place to edit axis labels in Design?
    Thanks!

    Thanks so much for following up on this. To clarify, converting month numbers to names is nice, and I did that using the specified order suggestion, but it doesn't effect the order of say, May, when Jan thru Apr are missing, and in fact created other issues of data misintrepatation I didn't bother resolving at the time.
    I suppose the best solution would be something that supplies a placeholder for blank months, so that the Jan-Dec order remains constast and the data graph bars appear in appropriate months, Jan-Apr no bars, May-Dec with data generated bars.
    Does this help?

  • CR4E Chart Axis Label

    I have a report developed with Crystal Reports XI Standard that includes a chart. The axis labels for the chart have been set (via Edit Axis Label) and appear correctly in preview mode of the Crystal Reports XI designer (e.g. "District" instead of "Sum of StateReportsView.District").
    When this report is exported to a PDF file via a Java program (using Crystal Reports for Eclipse), the axis labels revert to their original values (e.g. appear as "Sum of StateReportsView.District").
    Can the axis labels be set before exporting the report via the JRC API?
    Or is there some way to save the axis labels to the report using the Crystal Reports XI designer?
    Thank you...

  • How do I change time axis labels?

    I have a few data plots that show some parameter on the y-axis versus time on the x-axis.  The data spans several months (sometimes years).  Currently my x-axis shows date labels for the left and right side of the plot and one value inbetween (happens to be 12-31-09).  How can I set the axis format to show a label for each month or each major grid interval?  Anything would be an improvement over just one date label.
    Thanks

    Try right-clicking directly on the axis label and select your desired style.  You must click right on the label text or you will not get the correct pop-up menu.
    Using LabVIEW: 7.1.1, 8.5.1 & 2013

  • Hide axis labels

    I have 3 columns for my Axis labels and chart is as desired. BUT, I only want to show the first 2 categories of values on my axis (year and Quarter).  The 3rd label allows me to chart each individual value but I don't want the values to show in the
    axis. They appear in the graph as "points" but I need to hide them on the axis.
    How do I do that?
    TIA

    Hi TIA,
    According to your description, you want to show the first 2 categories of values on my axis (year and Quarter) in your Pivot Chart, right?
    I have tested it on my environment, currently there are no any options to hide axis labels in Axis Option for a Pivot Chart which you can see on the screenshot below.
    So in your scenario, there is no such a functionally to work around your requirement. If you have any concern about this behavior, you can submit a feedback at
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope it is resolved in the next release of service pack or product. Your feedback enables Microsoft to make software and services the best that
    they can be, Microsoft might consider to add this feature in the following release after official confirmation.

  • Y Axis label color inherits Pen color and not the default Label color.

    Hi,
    How do I enforce my Y Axis Label to taken the default color specified in the iChart Y-Axis Label Color property instead of picking it from the Pen color selected from the legend? I have a Y-Axis Label called "Total Stock", I can very well change the Label text using method
    document.TestChart.getChartObject().setYAxisLabel("Label from code");
    But when I use a similar
    document.TestChart.getChartObject().setYAxisLabelColor(Color);
    property, I dont see the color change on the screen. But when I get the color using a getYAxisLabelColor() method , the specified input Color is set. My Label in the Y-Axis, always inherits the Pen color of the selected Legend Item, by default the first Item color on Page Load.
    Settings done in the iChart:
    Use Selected Pen for label : Unchecked
    Y Axis Label Color: #000000
    Y Axis Label : Total Stock
    Show Y Axis Label: Checked.
    I appreciate your help,
    Ajitha

    Jeremy,
    I tried the method you mentioned...
    document.TestChart.getChartObject().setYAxisLabelColor(document.TestChart.createColor("#000000"));
    But I still dont see a change in the Label color.
    Another finding is, when I try to alert the Label color on load of the page or during the creation of the applet, I see the label color on the alert is not the pen1color but the default Label color that is set in the display template. I assume that the legend's default selection, overwrites the Label color with the first pen color, but I could not get it with the getYAxisLabelColor() method, even though I see it on the screen.
    Thanks!

  • LineChart and -fx-text-fill issue: how do I change the color of the labels

    Hello everyone,
    I'm currently facing an issue when I'm trying to style my LineChart with some CSS. Indeed I would like to change the color of the labels of my xAxis (CategoryAxis) and yAxis (NumberAxis) but it's not working.
    In my FXML file I tried to use the style attribute on my LineChart tag using: <LineChart style="-fx-text-fill: white"> with no result, the text remains black (even for the title of my chart). In order to know if the style attribute is well parsed I changed it to: style="-fx-background-color: red; -fx-text-fill: white;". The background is becoming red but the text still remains black.
    Finally I tried to define a stylesheet in my controller class with the same properties (red background and white text). My stylesheet is this one:
    .chart {
        -fx-text-fill: white;
        -fx-background-color: red;
    }In my controller I do the following line in order to load my CSS file:
    this.chart.getStylesheets().add(getClass().getResource("statistics-style.css").toExternalForm());Even with this option the text remains white, while the background becomes red.
    What I also tried is to put the -fx-text-file CSS property directly on my axises, but again it seems it is ignored.
    I followed the steps described in Figure 8-2 of this site: http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/charts/css-styles.htm
    Does anybody have an idea or encountered this issue?
    Thank you very much,
    Thierry.

    Hi,
    I figured a solution out to solve my problem. Currently in the documentation it is said to redefine the .chart CSS class in order to change the color of the title and labels text. But this is not working. Strangely the following code changes the font-size of both title and labels but ignores the -fx-text-fill property:
    .chart {
      -fx-font-size: 20pt;
      -fx-text-fill: white;
    }In order to change the color of the title I override the .chart-title CSS class:
    .chart-title {
      -fx-text-fill: white;
    }And for the labels:
    .axis-label {
      -fx-text-fill: white;
    }Well I don't know if there still is a bug on the .chart CSS class or maybe that behavior is expected.

  • Showing one data point on a line chart - X-axis label placed away from its actual position

    Hi Guys,
         In line chart, i used CircleItemRenderer to show single data point. It shows correctly if it is single data point. But the x-axis label placed away from its actual position. Right now it displayed left most position where the line chart starts. I need to move that label straight of that datapoint where it plotted.  Please see the screen shot attached with this post.
    In screen shot, x-axis label "Jan" displayed in left most position.
         And how can we show the datatip for single datapoint. At present, we can't able to see the datatips also with single datapoint.
         Can any body help me to fix those two issues.

    I figured out a way to customize a single datapoint in a line series.  The solution is at this link:
