Column with the name Null

Hi,
I have a strange issue. I am calling a stored procedure on a SQL server DB. All is working fine. I define which columns should be displayed in the output. All works fine. When I then run it, an additional column called null appears at the end. I can't work out how to get rid of it.
Anyone had this before?

Hi Paul,
Did you checked your Layout tab for that Table in VC.
if that Colum is not there in the Layout then its not Problem with Desingingthen its Problem with Compiler which your useing for Runtime.
Which Compiler your are working.
Come backwith me again if not solved.

I would also recommend to write the description into the meta data. This would allow to place a text frame above the image and it is possible to add meta information and file name automatically together with the image, when you place it or even in a prepared template.
Meta data information can be written easily in Bridge in the Meta File Workspace.

There's no need to specify the default values (font-variant:normal) or to specify auto margins for any block element without an explicitly defined width. Margin-left:auto can't work without knowing what the width of the element is.... Keep your CSS lean and targeted - it will help you to debug your layouts.

When doing Code First Migrations my mobile service always errors in the seed method with: 'Modifying a column with the 'Identity' pattern is not supported. Column: 'CreatedAt'. Table: 'CodeFirstDatabaseSchema.Methodology' for the CreatedAt column. All my

For some reason on an update the CreatedAt field is created and given a value of null. So of course on an insert/update it will error because CreatedAt is an Identity field.
I've tried to configure the modelBuilder in my context to tell it that CreatedAt is an identity field, but that still doesn't work.

So far the only way to fix this is by commenting out my Seed data, but it's not a fix. I've seen other solutions where you can force it to not serialize certain fields, but I don't know if those solutions apply.

So I think this occurs because you might have created the database (Code-first) with POCOs that didn't have the CreatedAt field in them. I think that's what I did and the easiest way to fix it for me was to delete my database and re-create it with my POCOs
inheriting from Entity Data from the very beginning. We were still in development so it worked out for us but I know some people might not be able to do that. Here's what my table looks like after it was created correctly:

We can't add a decimal number column with the create table forms

In the version 4, we can't add a decimal number column with the create table forms.

In the GUI, I found the following column (I translate from french to english): PK, Name, Data_type, lenght, not null, default, comments.
In the lenght field, if I enter 9,3 to have a NUMBER(9,3), I have a message saying that the number must be an integer.

Automatically populate custom list column with site name when list is created

Hi All,
I am using a CQWP to display selected contacts on subsites from one master contact list on the parent site. Each subsite is for a different project and is named according to the project number. In the master contact list I have a custom column called Projects
that is populated with the various different project numbers that an individual contact is involved with.
The CQWP on the subsite filters the results based on the Projects column of the master contact list. As it stands I have to manually input this job number into the CQWP's properties. What I would like to happen is for the project number (the subsite name)
to automatically be input to the filter value.
The closet I have come to reaching my desired behaviour is by adding a column to the Site Pages list called Title and setting the filter value to [PageFieldValue:Title]. This still doesn't get the automatic behaviour I require because I still have to input
the project number into the Title column manually, but it is quicker than editing the CQWP properties.
What I need to achieve is either a way of automatically populating this column with the subsite name or find a way for the CQWP to pick up the subsite name and filter its results accordingly.
I have found this article http://www.andrewconnell.com/blog/Subclassing-the-Content-Query-Web-Part-Adding-Dynamic-Filtering which seems to be along the lines of what I want to achieve, but it is by no means a walk through and while I'm not completely
unfamiliar with coding, I don't know enough to implement it without help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been working on this for weeks on and off!

Hi,
I believe the "Description" field type is Multiple Lines of Text. Sorting doesn't allow in this field type. In order to do the sorting, you would require to create additional column like single line of text column (note that it supports only 255
chars and require to truncate the data if more than 255) and update the data using event receiver or workflow. and do the sorting with that column.

New Column Still Defaulting To Value From Deleted Column With Same Name

This is strange. I had a managed metadata column called "Document Category" attached to multiple content types and set to a default value (different in each library). Then I deleted the column (all instances from libraries and references from
content types as well), and created a new site column with the same name, but a Choice field instead. The libraries that had a default value for the original column, are still populating new documents using the original default value, and it's showing up as
something like 88;#Hospital Correspondence|4b1e8da6-8653-492a-3e45e6c56c38 . The column is still a choice field, so I don't even know why it allows this value. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

How do I search for a song with the name I typed on my iPhone?

I run into this a lot and it is extremely frustrating. I want to find a song like "Menuetti", but the search results end up with hundreds of variations of "Menuetto". Even though I know Menuetti is there somewhere, I can't find the song I am looking for because there is so much garbage returned. Is there any way to get the iTunes store to return the few songs with the name I asked for rather than the hundreds with the name I did not?

I have a [rather worrying] problem.
When I try to copy all my files from my documents on my mac [or the entire documents folder] into an external drive, I get this error message
" The operation can’t be completed because an item with the name “.DS_Store” already exists. "
I am not given an option to skip this file or anything else.
But I simply cannot complete the operation!
I have tried deleting a few of the .ds_store files, [both in the original and in the destinations]
but no success.
The same thing keeps happening.
At first, this was just happening when I was trying to backup to my dropbox folder [the one on my mac's harddrive, which gets synced to the cloud],
but then I tried to back up my documents to my external hard drive, and I realized it is giving me the same error message.
So effectively, it seems I cannot backup my files anywhere!
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Error message "The operation can't be completed because an item with the name .DS_Store already exists"

Major headaches with copying files and folders between drives. I constantly (and I mean constantly) have to resort to copying files across in small batches (fewer than 10 works best) because anytime I try to copy lots of files and folders from my mac to an external hard drive (or from one external HD to a second external HD), I ALWAYS get the error message "The operation can't be completed because an item with the name .DS_Store already exists".
The files and folders are all Mac-generated, so hint or trace of foreign OSs in the mix.
All file types are susceptible
the HDs are all Mac OS X formatted, no foreign file formats involved
the HDs are all journal-enabled, OS X extended formats
have looked on here for previous posts, past suggestion was to disable creation of DS_Store files - not really a solution and realistically, defeats the purpose of their creation
any ideas anyone?
would appreciate any thoughts or sugestions, this has got me beat
the context is that I have a lot of image files that I am copying (trying to...) new external 3TB drives for backup and the job appears endless if I have to do this in batches of 10 or so..!

This is definitively a nuisance. When copying large amounts of files between volumes try opening a terminal window and use use ditto. You need to type the directory paths of the source and the destination volume. When it starts ditto just coupes and optionally overwrites anything on the destination. You can get a verbose mode where it lists all activities.

Problem with copying to external drives 10.8.3 "the operation can't be completed because an item with the name .ds_store exists"

After upgrading from 10.7.5 to 10.8.3 I cannot copy certain folders to any external drive. the operation can't be completed because an item with the name .ds_store exists. I have seen this problem in discussions for many years with no real solution. Does anyone have a resolution? Please help. This is very frustrating as I work in two locations and copy folders back in forth all the time.

A few thoughts for diagnosis/testing purposes:
Have you recently run the disk utility and repaired HD and permissions? If not do so.
Boot into the Safe mode - hold down shift key on boot - and see if the problems are still there. Some functions won't work but see if anything odd happens.
Check your startup items. Get rid of them temporarily.
Create a new user account and see if the problems occur with the new account.
Lastly, be sure your backup is up-to-date.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I have tried as you suggested, and when opening the "purchased" apps some have the icloud logo next to them, but I only have "OPEN" against "Find My iPhone". When opening it up, it goes through the same routine; needs to be updated before proceeding, and wouldn't update because I don't have IOS8.
Anything else I could try, or am I doomed!

Hiding Table Columns with the Spry Element Selector

I am trying to set up a toggle button that will show/hide
rows >1 when clicked. I've used Adobe's
"Hiding

worked fine with an HTML list, until I linked to actual XML data.
Now it works in reverse. What gives?
